Wow, where do I start? When I booked this place, I figured I would have to arrange a taxi to get there and then find guides to see the island attractions. I was wrong. As soon as I booked, Marcelo contacted me for my arrival time and was there to meet us at the airport. He is also a registered guide and we did our tours with him, talk about convenient. The cabana he put us in was well equipped and conveniently located in a quiet area of Hanga Roa. Weather dealt us a blow one day, but Marcelo was able to make up for a lost day by combining the tours we wanted in the remaining days we had. He was always checking on us to see if we needed anything.

As are many of the businesses in Rapa Nui this is a family owned and run business. It is a great value in a home like atmosphere. It included a great breakfast. Being very well located in the village I walked to everything. Marcello had great recommendations for everything and does tours for his guests. Taking tours in very small groups or by yourself gave you a personal experience and it was flexible. Some days the weather was rainy so we went the next day when the weather was sunny. I stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed it

Filthy, a real dump. Unlike as advertised, there was no restaurant to speak of. On the first day there was no hot water. I had to ask them to actually clean the room, which was very dirty. The \"breakfast\" consisted of instant coffee and some scrambled eggs and a few slices of cold cuts. It feels like a private home run by a bunch of kids (who have toddlers themselves) where the guests are an afterthought.

This property has to have its photos updated. The place looks nothing like its advertised photos. Shocking when you first get there. There is no restaurant and it looks like it's been that way for years. The room is like a camp cabin with no air con or even a fan. If you want to open the windows, the screens have holes so the mosquitos get in. If you call, Marcello answers (from Santiago) and is very nice but his daughter(s) who are on site, don't seem to care at all about the place or the customers. Really a weird situation! I couldn't even stay past a few hours and moved to another hotel even knowing that I would have to pay for my entire stay.

I had booked 4 nights here.
As soon as I arrived from the airport I knew I misjudged this place. The pictures do not truly represent the property. The pictures must be years old. Perhaps, pre COVID as this place was a crap hole.

This place is not a Hotel or an Inn as either of those would imply staff. No staff in existence.

2 hours after I arrived I found a more suitable property to stay at. I stayed one night and forfeited the other 3 nights and yes,

The hotel was probably a lovely hotel at one time. Unfortunately, it looks like the owner has not spent any money on maintenance because many things don’t work. The bathroom door could not close. The room door lock needs repair. The shower plumbing was loose. The air conditioning didn’t work. The room fan didn’t work. The nice family that lives there did their best to provide service, but it seems like the maintenance is off their hands. It is absolutely sad to see this quaint hotel with so much potential fall in disrepair!

Kaimana Inn is a family run hotel in the heart of Hanga Roa. The owner’s daughter, Jilleri (hope I spelled it right) was in charge during my stay. She prepared delicious breakfasts each morning and arranged my 3 tours of the island. My tour guide, Giovanni, did an excellent job explaining the history of the island and he speaks English very well. Our driver, Alexis, got us safely to all the sites. If you are expecting a fancy hotel, then this is not the place for you; however, if you want a taste of local life, then this is the place to stay. Dogs barking, roosters crowing, music at night, dirt roads, all a part of beautiful Rapa Nui. For me, it was a dream come true.

This is not a hotel. It’s your friend’s house who invited you over to spend some time in the most remote part of the world. That’s how welcome and pleasant I felt here.

Marcelo and his family run this establishment. He’s a one stop shop for everything Rapa Nui.

Marcelo welcomed me at the airport with a gorgeous lea. The hotel is off main street in a private alleyway. It’s simple, but offers and authentic experience. Marcelo’s family lives up front and the back has a nice patio, kitchen area and several rooms. I was solo, but my room had three beds. So I had plenty of space.

I was welcomed with a yummy smoothy, and after that Marcelo just took care of everything for me, from giving me different tours, arranging a glass-bottom boat ride, booking a 4-wheeler for me to do some adventure exploration, arranging a show reservation, and taking me to the National park areas as a credentialed guide. Did I mention, he’s also the volunteer firefighter.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room is clean and comfortable. There were plenty of fans available if I needed them, but the heavenly cross breeze made those unnecessary.

I loved that instead of serving breakfast separately, they encourage guests to sit around a bigger table. I met several interesting people this way. Felt great.

The location is great. Walking distance from the town main street and less than 10 minutes from the town beach with several Moai’s.

Excellent service. Excellent stay. Go here.

Marcelo and his family were focused on the best possible experience for their guests. We came in on the third flight after the COVID tourism resumption, which limited the number of days to tour Rapa Nui. Between a little bit of good weather luck and Marcelo's efforts we were able to see all the major attractions without it feeling rushed. I think the point of Kaimana Inn is that Marcelo and his family will go to great efforts to ensure that their guests have a good experience. He also supported logistical questions in advance. In his own words \"Sometimes my guests had a difficult journey or have faced other issues but when they leave my goal is for them to view me as a friend\".

Kaimana Inn

The Kaimana Inn provides a reasonably priced option for Hanga Roa. It is very well located in the town and the nearby Kaimana Restaurant has excellent food.

The owners and family (including their dogs) were every friendly, but there was sometimes no-one around (the family have their own house, and I didn't particularly want to disturb them in it).

The service was a little hit and miss - one time the room didn't get cleaned, but on the other hand they were very flexible with me staying longer than official check out without extra charge.
The room itself was spacious without aircon but with a bfan. The bathroom was fine and the shower hot.
The Wifi works about as well as any on the island.
The breakfast is very tasty, a good combo of fruits and some meat eggs & cheese.

So if you want a family run place with some caracter but mayvbe not high end luxury, then this place is a great bet.

he hotel consists of six rooms around a center courtyard which is the common area and where breakfast is served. These rooms are okay and a small mini fridge and fan are provided. My room had three twin beds. Only one had clean sheets. The other beds had disgusting stained mattresses and pillows. There were little ants that bit me at night.
I was originally taken to a cabin down a dirt road. It was a total dump.I saw two huge cockroaches. I grabbed my bag and went to the main area and insisted I be moved or given a refund so I could go somewhere else. The young woman called the guy who picked us up at the airport. After awhile he got there and said, but there was just one cockroach inside, the other was was by the front door. Then he said I could have one of the rooms in the main area, but only for one night and then I’d have to move back to the other one down the road with the cockroaches. I said no way and left to arrange for tours.
When I got back the young lady said my bag was in the room and I could stay for there for both nights and she apologized about the cockroaches.
The guy was a total jerk. He was rude, said I had no patience and told me if I wasn’t at the hotel by 1pm on my last day that I’d have to get a taxi to the airport instead of him doing the included shuttle. I had a tour that morning that ended a little before 1pm, so I did an expensive private vs a group tour, so I wouldn’t stress about the time.
I am 70 years old.

I loved this place.. pretty funky mom & pop type place. Not your normal cookie cutter hotel room. NO TV, WiFi that mostly works, delicious included breakfast, and communal outdoor living/dining room area. Island atmosphere... dogs barking, birds chirping, roosters greeting the day! The associated restaurant has delicious food and great entertainment. It is tucked away but still in the central part of Hanga Roa. If you need anything, just send a what’s app message and you get a prompt reply. AND, there is free transfer from and to the airport. If you are looking for the usual corporate hotel stay with a reception desk and concierge, don’t stay here! However, if you want a taste of the local life this fits the bill!

The good and the bad, going by chronological order.
Emailed hotel through its web site and through Expedia to let them know of my flight arrival. No reply… Reading previous reviews, I called, Marcelo seem quite confuse with my time of arrival as he gives me the wrong hour, then we got disconnected, called back to confirm, he sound annoyed then hang up…
At airport, Denise was there, very nice with unexpected flower necklace (first time a women offer me flowers), took taxi back to hotel.
Hotel location is near main street.
Accommodations were very basis, bed was terrible, paper thin wall (could hear my neighbor snoring), unlike advertised, no welcome drink, hot tub was not working, internet almost non-existent, only decent enough for email at 05.00.
The worst was the dogs barking next to my window most the night.
Breakfast was good, prepared by Denise who was always nice.
I really can’t recommend the place at this price (was charged various rates, one was $120 per night…).

Arranged an airport pickup and reconfirmed the day before. No one turned up to meet me and had to take a taxi at my expense. Then kept waiting an hour to check in whilst the owner took people to the airport which he said would take 10 mins.

Pretty basic accommodation but in a reasonable position. If I was going back I would stay somewhere better.

Basic good value accommodation

Accommodation on Easter Island, especially during the Tapatai Festival, is generally very expensive so I was happy with the deal I got on this hotel through Hotels.com. Having said that, the accommodation is quite basic with no air-con but a floor standing fan which I had on full-blast the whole time I was in the room. Nice breakfast and a generally friendly atmosphere.

Awesome hotel for visitors

Kaimana Inn has an outstanding location on the main street. Close to everything, rental car, supermarket, dance show all in walking distance. The room was clean and had everything. The breakfast was great with a variety of choices (ham, cheese, juice, bread, fruit, etc.) The host was helpful and speaks English. He handled the airport transfer and introduced the island to us (places and tour options). We recommend this place to everyone.

・メインストリートから近い場所だったため選択した．しかし、当日に何も説明も無く別の場所で降ろされた．
当該ホテルから≒600～700mほど距離で繁華街から逆方向に離れ、暗くなってからの夜は安易に歩けない辺鄙な場所．
・３泊したが、オーナーの都合で朝食は全て無しになった．場所を含め抗議し一部を返金されたが２０ US＄だけだった．
・タオル交換とトイレットペーパーの補充を依頼したところ『３日に１回！』の回答．
ペーパーが無くなった場合は、どうするのか？と問い合わせたところ『タオル＝２０ US＄，トイレットペーパー＝１０ US＄　支払えば対応する』の回答．
(タオルは新品より高額であり、トイレットペーパーは何ロール購入が出来るのか？）
※部屋は古く綺麗ではないが広く台所も有り、シャワー湯の温度，量(水圧)は一般的．空港送迎も対応してくれる．ドライヤー，ハンガー，冷蔵庫以外の備品は無い．
オーナーと会ったのはチェックアウト＆空港への送り１回のみだったが、その間はWhatsAppでやり取り．一応？要望は聞いてくれる．
場所に拘らず朝食無しでも可で、タオル／シーツ交換は３日以上でも気にしなく、トイレットペーパーは自己調達される人ならば可でしょう．

Grundsätzlich ist alles da, aber das Zimmer ist nicht sehr sauber und in etwas desolatem Zustand (z.B. Kühlschrank, Dusche). Der Hotelbesitzer wartete am Flughafen, informierte mich aber nicht darüber und war dann sehr unhöflich, weil er warten \"musste\". (Es handelte sich nicht um ein Kontaktaufnahme-Problem meinerseits: Alle anderen Personen vor Ort berichteten dasselbe.)

Kaimana Inn is located close to everything you need and everywhere you want to go. The bathrooms are a bit tired - but who cares? you are here to see the moai and experience the island. I cannot recommend this place enough! Friendly staff who go out of their way to help. Marcelo was an EXCELLENT guide. Look no further and stay here. Excellent value for money. Loved it!

A very warm and welcoming reception by Marcelo and his team, you feel part of a family including whatsapp group for new arrivals, so that you can go on tours and restaurants together. Very much enjoyed the tours and all the information provided by Marcelo. Rapa Nui and its history and culture are absolutely fascinating. Family restaurant close by with excellent fresh fish dishes. A once in a lifetime trip!

立地は最高で空港から歩いて15分くらいだし、街の中心なのでお店や飲食店、レンタカー屋も徒歩5分圏内に何軒もあります。ただダンスショーパブ？のすぐ裏なので21時になるとズンドコズンドコうるさいです。部屋はそれなりで、スタッフは美人三姉妹できりもりしている感じです。朝食は美味しかったです。（ビュッフェではありません）あと可愛いネコと犬を飼っています。予約時に空港送迎に関して記載はなかったのですが、事前のメールで到着時空港でお会いしましょう的な事が書いてあったので「迎えに来てくれるのかな？」と思っていたら迎えは無かったです。ですが出発時早朝便に乗るためにタクシーを呼んでもらい空港についてドライバーに支払おうとしたら「ホテルからいただいてる」と言われました。サービス？

Ett enklare boende är ok, men en del saker var trasiga (toa som inte spolade, dusch som inte var fäst ordentligt), eller ofräscha (kuddarna under örngotten var hemska och jag vågade inte ens titta på madrassen).

Es ist ,wie typisch auf polynesischen Inseln: einfach, funktionell, etwas abgenutzt,( Tresor und Whirlpool sind da aber nicht funktionsfähig), die Leute superfreundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück gut. Dieses „Hotel“ -eher ein B&B, hat 6 Zimmer für 1-4 Personen mit Bad. Der überdachte Freiraum zwischen den jeweils 3 und 3 Zimmern gelegen ist hübsch zum Frühstücken und zusammensitzen. Im Vergleich zu Hawaii ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, aber nichts für 5 Sterne-Reisende!

Alles in der Nähe, ruhig, familiär aber zentral.

Das Zimmer ist gut und geräumig, das Bad i.O. Die Gastgeber sind aufmerksam.
Das Frühstück ist vor Ort, das im Titel erwähnte Restaurant ist ca. 200 Meter entfernt.
Es werden Touren zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten angeboten. Zu deren Qualität kann ich allerdings nichts sagen, weil ich diese als leidenschaftlicher Individualist mit dem Mietwagen angefahren habe. Die Autovermitunge(n) sind ebenso wie das Zentrum nur ca. 300 Meter entfernt.
