The room was very spacious, we had booked 2 standard rooms. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. They kindly arranged a last minute taxi for us which took us to the Marina in good time, which was much appreciated. Special mention to Darwish who made our stay exceptional - he is truly a kind hearted person.

Sea room view was lovely.
Shuttle Bus to Dubai (as there is not much to do outside of the hotel/in the area).
Breakfast - good variety.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful - all staff.

Cons:
Location - not much to do around the area, outside of the hotel.
Shuttle Bus to Dubai - does not carry many people and gets booked very quickly - people also do not show up despite booking slots.
No early check in - but you can stay in the hotel lounge.
The hotel price was expensive for what you actually get.
Dubai traffic is horrific - be prepared to sit in traffic for a few hours if using the shuttle bus.

My first Fairmont stay. Not to be repeated. Once a very nice hotel, but now totally outclassed by its peers. Staff were uninterested. The hotel was 5 star, the service more 2-3 star. Eg room cleaning, repeatedly requested 4 times, sockets not working, hairdryer and safe remained unfixed. Maintenance issues were also experienced by neighbouring rooms- we queued at the same time at front desk Loose dangerous paving slabs by the pool- “it’s fine, nothing wrong”, no action until someone is injured.
Clearly there is some of management psychodrama playing out with the staff who just don’t care and seem to have given up being interested. Food was quite basic so we only ate breakfast there. On the first day they tried to charge us for buffet breakfast despite being “free”. On the last day we were too early as leaving. So they gave us some miserable cornflakes with tiny cartons of long life milk. We had to actually chase 3 times for this the day before. I seriously wasn’t expecting such poor service in a 5 star hotel!!!
Ajman’s a relaxing place with decent local restaurants to experience Dubai food. To stay however, I would recommend the Ajman Saray - it’s a Marriott and properly 5 star. The restaurants were better, the service was frankly amazing, with staff really going the extra mile to make you feel welcomed rather than an inconvenient afterthought at the Fairmont. I haven’t registered for Accor loyalty points as the stay was terrible so I won’t be using Fairmont going forward.

Where to begin? This property is amazing. The entrance is grand and the concierge was welcoming and friendly. Julia was very helpful and found us the perfect suite for our family of 6 and the view was INCREDIBLE (room 327 and 328). The breakfast was also amazing, the three cakes especially were phenomenal. The staff during breakfast was also very meticulous and ready to help even during peak times. The beach was also amazing. I would definitely be coming back and I definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in Ajman. This is the jewel of Ajman for sure.

Freezing Room with Terrible Service

We booked a two night stay but on check in we were put in a freezing room. I immediately turned off the ac and went for dinner. When we returned to the room it was still freezing. I told the hotel and they sent a maintenance person. He came but told me I had already turned the ac off. An hour later I called them again and they told me to open the window. But I finally insisted they change my room at 11pm at night.

Hotel was generally very good. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Beds were on the small side. Pool needs some work - to replace missing tiles etc. Loungers could be replaced as they look quite old. Food was ok, but service must improve. Buffet breakfast was (very) busy - no one offering tea or coffee, people asking to take spare chairs etc. A bit disorganised. Also lots of ladies walking around without masks on. Gioia restaurant was good but a bit on the expensive side for what was served. Pizza was sparse on toppings. Kid's sundae wasn't a sundae- it was a plate with two small scoops of ice cream (nothing else). Draft beer was Budweiser or Carlsberg - but it was served in random glasses (such as Bitburger, Heineken, Peroni etc) which didn't leave a good impression. Overall it was better than some of the other Fairmont Hotels I have visited, but its not in the same category as the One and Only, Waldorf Astoria or Four Seasons.

A beautiful stay. I was upgraded to an amazing suite. Staff at the beach were very pleasant, particularly Jude. It was lovely to have a foot massage by pool after breakfast - very reasonable price.
Breakfast buffet very good, but busy.
Mr Khaled the Front Desk manager was very kind and pleasant, as was the lady who checked me in.
Would definitely stay again.
However, the Head of security was very rude and abrupt, which was very disappointing and not a great first impression of hotel!
Also, in the Italian restaurant a 1.5l bottle of water was offered on the table, but it was chargeable! It was around £3 (15 AED) I took my own the next evening!!

The service in the restaurants were not good: a lot of mistakes and long waits
The hotel is mostly fully occupied by the Russian tour operators so you feel the management is focused on short stay guests not looking for someone to come back.

Very poor service. At check in we were told the requested and booked bed was sold out and they basically didn't care. When asked for a manager that answer was just \"he is over there\". If you want to talk to him go there by yourself. \"I don't care about you\" attitude. Not even greeting us at the arrival. Check in with the shnoodah at 3 o’clock along with my daughter, unfortunately for a reason or another took too long for no apparent reason
We had a family wedding in the hotel so wed rather to stay in instead of driving from Dubai and back.
My booking was for one-bedroom suite. unfortunately to save time we requested to take our own like ages when we went to the storage room to get them we found that most of our suits were out of the covers and they were poorly handled from the car to the storage room which is not acceptable.
the room was spacious, nicely clean and the view of the sea was awesome.
Warning for families whose taking one bedroom room the bathroom is fully open to the bathroom which will not be the choice of many people
In room dining was good
The breakfast was very nice with lots of variety

Check-in took more time than expected since they have never heard of a passport card and they requested the actual passport, the only form of ID that is accepted, but Mark at the front desk was quite accommodating, and seamlessly and professionally resolved the issue. Housekeeping is way below standards which is quite alarming in the COVID 19 ERA. Location and property condition is excellent. After being in couple of properties in Ajman, we will still rate it the best.

My girls and I had a super stay at Fairmont, Ajman. We were there to celebrate my birthday and I felt like a Queen. The room was ready when we checked in at 12.45pm, although check in was at 3pm. When I walked into the room there were balloons and rose petals all over the room. HAPPY BIRTHDAY was written in rose petals on my bed and petals were floating in the bathtub, too. The shampoo, conditioner and lotion bottles had my name printed on them. A cake was also waiting for me on the centre table. The view of the Arabian Gulf from the bedroom as well as the lounge area of the room was absolutely stunning. The room was well equipped with all amenities and we had such a comfortable stay. The breakfast the next morning was a feast..well laid out and sumptuous. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful and courteous. Check in and check out was seamless and quick. The swimming pool wasn't crowded at all and the water was so warm...absolutely loved it. Our stay at the Fairmont was a delight and will be one I will always cherish.

Front office staff does not know how to make guests feel at home. They are not doing a favor, as a guest I expect sensible service for the rooms or services I have paid for !

Service in the pool side cafe is quite slow and the staff were confused as well.

Dinner service at the Italian restaurant was quite fine.

Well, do not plan to return again in any case. There are many more hotels out there with better services and friendlier service.

Did certainly expect much more from a Fairmont property! is this really a Fairmont ??

A good weekend in Ajman

Good location. Good staff. Room was comfortable but ordinary. Food at Spectrum and Gioia was average but the number of diners in Spectrum was large which was a concern during the COVID pandemic. Overall, a good stay but overpriced IMO.

The staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. Hotel itself is very nice, facilities are great and well managed. The one downside was the food, we ate at three venues (The Cave, Gioia (Italian) and Salt&Sea (beachside)) and ordered in-room dining - Salt&Sea was really good, unfortunately the others were not great and extremely over-priced for what was served, The Cave (a sports bar) also didn't have any sports channels and only had two darts for the dartboard!. A plus point being that The Entertainer was redeemable at certain venues.

Great hotel and Amazing stay.
Though I have negative feedback about mainly 3 topics:
1) Less staffed reception: Reception only has 2 counter and mostly 1 counter is empty. That means no matter when you go to reception, you have to wait for your turn.
2) We had to wait for considerable time at check in to get the rooms even at 4pm. We were upgraded to Suite however it did leave bad taste, considering check in time is 3pm
3) Breakfast service was very slow on Friday, though I cant complain much as I guess Friday morning is the businest time and COVID restricitons dont help at all.

However I almost forgot all these issues purely due to Beautiful Ocean facing rooms!!

We choose to stay at the Fairmont because we stayed at other locations and it was always a pleasure. This time it was quite disappointing. The staff welcoming us at the reception had a duty blazer, which does not give a good impression at first sight. But other than that very nice and polite. All the staff were very friendly and tried their best to make our stay nice. But: the same selection at the breakfast buffet for the entire stay. (e.g. same three choices of cheese and ham every day, same with fruit and hot dishes) The seats at the spectrum are too much on the used side, specially at the windows. They are so distressed that you sink in the frame of the chair. It appears that Friday is the busiest day, and the pool was so dirty on Saturday that you could not see clear. Friday and Saturday the TV was not working
- I am sorry to say, but this time very disappointed
+ friendly staff and good food in some restaurants. Nice messages on the beach every morning written in the sand. Interior very nicely done.

It was a short stay in Ajman for Eid holiday but Fairmont made it so special for us, many thanks for Ayshan (frontdesk) for her wonderful assistance from checking in upto a hassle free checking out. Definitely will go back to this hotel as I dont have to do long driving to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

You would not expect from a 5 star hotel that at 7am in the morning 50% of the sun beds are reserved by the tourists. In addition we had to listen to screaming guests singing on their balcony. The prices at the pool for the food are tremendous and the quality does not justify it. Apart from this the hotel and facilities are very nice.

Great Customer Service! Will be Back.

Amazing property. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. They even have a free shuttle service to Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman (limited seating). I was also upgraded to sea view rooms for no extra charge. This is the best customer service that I have ever experienced, bar none.

Good Hotel. Dont expect them to do extra.

Hotel was amazing. Clean nice rooms. Requested if there is an available upgrade they said occupancy is full, but I can tell the hotel was atleast half full only. Requested if theres anything they can do to make our stay extra special since it was our anniversary. But Nothing. Just greeted by the receptionist. Hotel was great by itself just dont expect them to go the extra mile. Also I was wearing a swimming tshirt/drifit/wetsuit yet they did not allow me to swim on the pool.

Heaven on Earth

We stayed one night in Fairmont Ajman to celebrate our wedding anniversary. After an having an amazing relaxing few hours at the hotel’s spa (which I totally recommend) we checked into our room! We were very very fortunate to be upgraded by the lovely Oula at reception, who was so helpful from the moment we arrived. The room was breathtaking beyond belief, and extremely clean. Thankyou Fairmont Ajman for making our anniversary so special, this will definitely be our future getway spot!

Amazing!

The kids and I had an amazing time! The hotel was pristine, and the staff were attentive. There was a member of staff in the restaurant called Yussuf who went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our first dinner upon arrival. We would have preferred a wider variety at the buffet Christmas dinner though, the kids didn't have much to choose from.

The roof top shisha bar had a lovely ambience, and the staff too were welcoming and attentive.
I'll definitely visit again.
