Definitely worth the price paid. Eggs were cold. Everything else was good. Enjoyed the short stay.
Keith
Place looked very fresh and new. Only issue was the breakfast food like scrambled eggs were cold
Chad
Clean Room....😁
Becky
Good price, good location, remodeled rooms, decent breakfast
Doris
Staff was very nice. Didn't want to leave, but they couldn't extend the stay.
Douglas
Motel under construction, will be nice when completed.
Sharon
The rooms were clean. Hair dryers were available, as well as irons and ironing boards. Construction was going on, making the carpet in the stairwells in big need of vacuuming. It would be good to have them vacuumed after work is done for the day.
The gal in charge of breakfast did a great job of keeping the food stocked. Adding bacon or sausage to the menu would be great! Eggs were poor quality.

The hotel is undergoing renovations, but it was still a wonderful stay and especially for the price! My room was very clean and if you don't mind a little reno dust, I would recommend. The staff was lovely and the breakfast adequate.
Colleen
This is a nice place. But they are remodeling, so they should have floor blocked off instead we walked on plastic and around workers equipment. Room was not ready by the time we were to check in so we had to wait for 10-15 minutes so they could finish getting it ready.
Laura
Clean rooms and friendly staff, offered breakfast
Chris
It’s a good basic place that’s clean and has breakfast for good value
Lisa
The Microtel was great for an inexpensive place to sleep. They are in the process of renovating so some of the hallways, stairways, etc had construction dust, which was understandable, but my room was redone and lovely with all fresh carpet and renovated. The bed was comfy and I slept well. The walls are a little thin so I heard my neighbors but they eventually quieted down and I played my sound machine and was able to fall asleep. The staff was helpful and I would recommend this hotel if you need a reasonably priced place to sleep.
Lisa
Eggs tasted like soap.
Matthew
Bedding not cleaned. it was disgusting - would like my money back to be honest . i had to clean the room even. will never book again
Cathleen
Yuck! Bathroom bathtub dripped and ran all night long. It was a little late to try to get another room so I put up with it. Breakfast is a cold bagel or carton of yogurt.
Comfort it was not.
I was pretty disappointed.

Will be great when remodeling is finished.

The room was clean and updated. Very nice .

rude staff

Exactly what I needed for a cheap quick overnight stay. Staff was available for a check in after midnight. Breakfast foods were laid out in the lobby to be accessible throughout the morning, there were a variety of continental items, nothing was expired. There was some construction going on, but nothing that was in the way, loud, or detrimental to my stay in any way.

Parking was bad construction material blowing everywhere cardboard blown into cars nails and screws all over parking lot had to survey and pick up everytime parked or left to make sure you wouldnt get a flat tire
Jacob
The hotel was nice the room was newly renovated, breakfast could have been better, not much of an option for gluten free either. but overall pretty good.

The staff at this hotel was incredibly kind and helpful, but the hotel itself is extremely run down. My room was stuck at 62 degrees. The bathroom had mold on the walls and rust on the fixtures. The closet was missing a door. The TV remote only worked for on/off, and when on, it was blasting fox sports at full volume. Luckily, I only needed a place to sleep from midnight to 7am. I checked out the next morning and the extremely kind staff at the front desk were able to refund the second night that I did not need.
daniel
Bad air leak under heater
Ken
In a remodel. But they worked until almost 10pm. Which is way too late. Room was very small. Bathtub was all gray on the bottom, like the coating was all worn off. Toilet paper holder was all rusted out. Ceiling had issues. It wasn’t worth what we paid for. Coffee for breakfast was AWFUL. Couldn’t even drink it. We’ve stayed here a few times before while visiting family in the area but this time I know we won’t stay there again.
Corey
It was ok. Could have been cleaner but they are under construction. It is right next to a major highway so the noise is pretty loud and heavy semi trucks shake the building.
Darwin
All good
Kathleen

Staff was very helpful. They did not have my reservation from hotels.com despite having a referral # but they were able to accommodate me and actually gave us a rate that was almost half of what the hotels app was charging me.

Bathroom was so filthy. Walls needed attention and the tub was so stained I didn’t want to use it. The mirrored area wall area above the beds was creepy. The TV was placed high above a clothes cabinet. Would never stay there again.

Our one night was awful. Our room was not ready for an hour after check in time. There was nothing accessible about our room except being on 1st floor. We wanted an extra towel but no one came to front desk after dialing 0 numerous times. After wasting 15-20 minutes, we had to give up. Our tv remote was on Spanish and would not switch to English so again I was forced to go to front desk for help but again no response after dialing 0. We slept terrible. The bed creaked every time we rolled over or got up waking each other. The muffins for breakfast were very dry hard to eat. Needless to say we looked like we hadn’t slept in days for our son’s wedding!! We are very upset that we paid over $200 for this stay and it was so appalling. This kind of experience should be compensated as well as reviewed. We will not be recommending this place to anyone we know.
James
The room was quiet and comfortable for our stay. We were given fresh linens and our trash taken out after our first night of a 2 night stay.
Irish
Everyone was so accommodating Will definitely be back
Brian
Rooms are old, tired, and shady clientele lurk the hallways at night. The room rates were outrageous, but when there is literally no availability anywhere else in town I guess you take what you can get.
Franc
We stay here every time we are in town for Fest weekend. It is always clean and staff is friendly.
Jeremy
Check in was a breeze. The room was adequate for our needs for the 2 night stay.
Jerilyn
The hotel was adequate in all areas. Could use some minor cosmetic updates but it was clean and the location was convenient. I would stay there again. Friendly staff.
Tina
The parking was safe, room clean. A good choice for the money
Patty
The room was clean and the front desk attendant was polite and courteous. It is that time of year that you don't need a/c or heat. During the day crack the window and at night close it if it gets chilly. The only negative thing I endured is the mini fridge could've been cleaned a bit more. It may have not even been touched at all? I also prefer brighter lighting for the lights but that is just my preference. It was nice to come to a motel that has been kept up nice. I've noticed a lot are looking run down and in need of some TLC. I would recommend this motel to family and friends.

Love staying at this Microtel hotel every time i come backbto my hometown to visit. Very clean, nicely decorated room with great continental breakfast in morning. Very nice staff too. 5 stars.
Jaida
Pretty decent place to stay if you’re just looking for a place to stay. Definitely smaller than I thought but it did that job. Nice staff
Henry
Room was dirty hallway never cleaned after two days had to ask for cleaning and clean towels owner was friendly just not clean enough for me
Christi
Unfortunately there was a significant amount of black mold in the bathroom and we were forced to abandon our second night stay without a refund. It was close to being the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

There is nothing special about this place and for what you got for breakfast I thought it was a bit pricey. I would think twice about staying again for that price for the amount of time we were in our room. The man was sweeping around our tables when we were trying to have breakfast and it should have been clean. There are betting machines in the dining area and there was crap pushed up to the side by the wall, obviously not swept and very unsightly. Just didn't give a clean vibe at all.

Great staff, nice hotel!
Rodney
Location was easy to locate. The rooms and facility were clean. The facility does need an update of the bathroom.
Tracy
Mold everywhere, musty & damp.
Lid to ice bucket was filthy with left over food, appeared that it had been used as a plate
& not cleaned or replaced!

Nice and quiet place. A little older inside, but well kept. Nice front desk staff.
Heidi
We came for one night for a football game. The room was immaculate, the desk staffed at all times, and staff friendly. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming and my dietary needs are different, but at least it was available for my husband. Parking was easy and it was right down the road from where we needed to go.I loved online check-in and check-out.
Rosemary
It was a very pleasant day
Cathy
I was satisfied with the whole package.

Friendly help. Great breakfast. Very clean.
Roger
Friendly staff & adequate breakfast for a cost effective hotel. Carpet in our room needed shampooing as I noticed my footprints on tub base each time I stepped into wet tub to shower — and not because I was wearing sandals all day. I wore socks & tennis shoes outside the room and took off after returning to room & walking around on the carpet with my bare feet at that time. Otherwise, no complaints.

Mya’s Honest Review
After staying at this location for two weeks, 95% of the staff was wonderful! We had to leave a $100 deposit at the desk due to paying with cash. I also brought my ESA dog and when I checked in and offered to show legal documentation from my doctor, the employee said he didn’t need to see it. When we checked out, it seemed like the owner (or GM, not sure) tried just about everything to keep our deposit. One of the reasons was because we didn’t pay a pet deposit that is required. I then went on to explain that I had paperwork and offered it at check in….she persisted on as if I had done something wrong when in fact, it was her coworker that didn’t follow any policy. The dog area seemed to be a bit dirtier than it should have been but overall, the staff was pleasant, room was small and I felt safe. The tv could have been a bit bigger but the location was great. On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate the Microtel in Onalaska a 4.
Emma
Great stay.
We enjoyed our stay and the hotel was great for the price. It was very quiet and comfortable. The rooms are a little outdate but who cares! I did not notice any recycle bins so we recycled elsewhere. The breakfast contained a good variety of foods. AND coffee was available 24/7. The desk staff was very competent and friendly.

The bathtub was literally black (dirty) - curtains were broken and hanging off the hooks - rusty elements in room like curtain rod and Kleenex dispenser

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed st
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Sir did not really work, the hall ways were about 120 degrees so it must not have worked there. I know the hotel can’t do anything about the people staying but it was full of people who clearly do not care about people trying to relax and sleep. Pay the money and stay somewhere else, it isn’t worth the price. I have stayed in well over 400 hotels in my life and this one was the worst.
Wendy
Check in was frustrating. She said she didn’t have a reservation for me. I told her I purchased through Expedia and she kept telling me no reservation. After about 8 minutes of me insisting I have a reservation, she found it.
Daniel
Didn't like to go through mud to get to hotel, not really hotels fault.
Peggy
The first room we got smelled terrible. Black mold around the ceiling in the bathroom. We went to the desk and said we couldn’t stay in that room. The young man was very nice and gave us a different room which ended up being fine but it was hard to get past the first room!
joe
Clean and easy to check in and out

Nice place. Just traveling through and got caught in a rainstorm so decided to stop sooner than we planned to for the day. Was nice having Arby's within walking distance!
Julie
Cheap, easy access to highway, quiet, decent free breakfast. Sheets were clean but duvet was not. Air conditioner smelled terrible. Hair in shower. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Daniel
Once I walked in the front door - I regretted making the reservation. Will not rent again
Joe
Just what I needed clean bed, shower,tv and quiet
Gayle
There was only one person that could speak English when we first arrived & his English wasn’t very good. Very Expensive for Very small room & no real breakfast. ($300.00 for 2 nights.)
Christine
Too expensive
For the cost of this room, I expected more. The toilet seat was loose, the counter was pulling away from the wall, etc. I would also expect someone to be at the desk at all times…not just a basket to drop the room key in. The woman at the desk when I did check in was very friendly.
Keith
Clean room kinda of dated and TV didn’t work
Donna
Property was very nice and quiet. Could use some vending machines and maybe updated ice machines! All in all it was a nice stay for our 2 nights there.
Kris
I was very pleased with everything here. The staff were helpful and kind. Something hot for breakfast would have been a plus, but the options for a quick breakfast on the go were fine. I will be back!
Betty
Overnight stay
Nice overnight stay. My room was clean and comfortable. Check-in was easy and the desk attendant was very friendly. Wish that breakfast hours on Sunday would be longer than 9:30.
Elizabeth
Loud music and inappropriate party happening in the hotel until 2:00 a.m. My family would have left but we heard loud commotion in the hallway. It was the worst experience at a hotel I have ever had.
scott
The staff was excellent
