Elevator wasn't working to the 1st floor. Big problem for someone older with bad knees like me. Otherwise everything was fabulous.
Colleen
Nice breakfast. Clean spacious rooms.
Jodi
Elevator button to the first floor didn’t always work so that was a little inconvenient being on the third floor.
Craig
My room was the bottom floor 116.
The noise from the road was horrendous.
Did not get much sleep. Load motor cycles, trucks….. Nice place just way too much road noise.

Rooms were very clean, access to Gundersen is so easy. Breakfast was very good
Courtney
Excellent place for an impromptu family get away. Located close to everything we could want, clean, the rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. We packed suits but didn’t think our little guy would want to swim but he loved it! Having hearty breakfast options was nice to fuel us up before a day at the indoor playground. And of course the highlight for our son was seeing a helicopter taking off from the hospital. The staff were all kind and welcoming, you always felt like you were welcome. We would recommend this for a family or a couple. Definitely adding it to our rotation for quick weekend get aways.
Amy
Very nice property. Was nice being close to the clinic for an early morning appointment.

Clean! Convenient and relatively quiet (filled with many visitors of the hospital). The breakfast was typical and coffee is available 24/7.

Great facilities for a few days. Breakfast is nothing to write home about but coffee and soda available throughout the day are nice. Very good value.
Dan
Very clean property, large rooms
Amanda
Very nice place to stay.

The elevator doesn't like to go to floor 1. Breakfast was sparse 30 mins before it ended. Both were disappointing, but one caused anxiety.
The rooms are nice. Desk chair was comfy. The couch is too low to the ground for people average height and above.

Housekeeping staff was very helpful. Very knowledgeable and kind. I’ll stay again . Most of the front desk staff were kind and very helpful. We used the pool and the exercise room both very clean. The doorway to the hotel very clean! The hotel in itself was very clean. We left it very clean as we found it. We will stay again
Clarice

Check-in was seamless. Stefan helped me with a problem with my booking quickly and satisfactorily. He was a big help. The room was nicely laid out and quite spacious. Breakfast was pretty basic hotel fare, nothing special. Excellent location for Gundersen Hospital.
Dawn
Nice staff , enjoyed our stay
Chris
Our first stay at this location. The staff interaction was excellent. David was very professional and assisted us with great customer service. We could tell he had a very challenging customer on the phone and was staying calm and answered her questions in a pleasant and professional way. Our room was ok. I found the ADA features frustrating as a non ADA user. There was plenty of room for two hooks on the bathroom door, but all heights were lowered for ADA. Our towels touched the floor, which was a bit unpleasant. There was a full size closet but again all lowered for ADA standards. Plenty of opportunities to accommodate both users. With a long dress to hang for a wedding we were attending, I was unhappy. I was disappointed when I dropped my glasses and they fell behind the night stand. I found a previous users pills along the back wall between the bed and night table. I felt like the carpet was not vacuumed well or at all. The front entrance had cob webs and the tops of garbage cans under the awning could have used a scrub. Breakfast was carb loaded. Not any options for low glycemic or diabetic users. Not many Gluten Free or Dairy free options at this hotel. Will I stay again. Probably not, the road noise was too load for our liking.
Christopher
Very reasonably priced and the location next to the hospital can’t be beat. Heather the manager was so helpful.
Virginia

We loved the location and the room! We got a suite and it was perfect with the full kitchen and bunk beds in the queen room- with a pullout sofa. The large table with chairs was also so nice to have. Great bathroom and space overall in the room. The breakfast was lack luster but nice to have available.
Steve
Breakfast was delicious and a different menu each morning. Appreciated the complimentary soda and tea. Only thing was the traffic was loud on Saturday night.
Ronalee

2 night stay was nice. Clean room, comfy pillows, courteous staff and housekeeping. One elevator button for floor 1 wasn’t working properly, but front desk staff was aware and maintenance was going to fix it soon.
Kelly
I absolutely love this place!
Chantelle
Very clean and family friendly.
Christia
Rooms were clean, staff was helpful and breakfast was good.
Alicia
The room was clean. Road noise was loud but once I was asleep it didn’t bother me. Spacious rooms. I only ate a bagel at breakfast but there were plenty of other options. I enjoyed the fat that the had fountain pop available 24/7. It was handy when we were at the hospital. Staff was friendly.
Marilyn
Clean room, fast check-in and checkout. Quiet. Good breakfast, nice options including fresh fruit
Connie
Awesome! Clean and quiet!
Jaycy
Great staff and clean property. Quick to help with any concerns or questions.
Lena
Breakfast was great. Place was clean and quiet. Just wish there was a hot tub as well! Would recommend this place.
Jens-Peter
Found two pills underneath the bed, one was a benzodiazepine. I figured someone staying there from the hospital must’ve dropped them, but the staff should be more attentive to cleaning underneath the beds in case you have a little one who might be crawling around on the floor and find one of these things.
Angie
Very nice! Stayed there multiple times.
Hannah
Large rooms and very clean
Michael
Hotel was clean, well appointed and staff was very helpful.
Rebecca
The room was clean and spacious. Bathroom products were replenished. Complimentary breakfast was always hot and changed daily. Staff was very accommodating when we arrived late and needed to add extra days. Conveniently located next to Gundersen Lutheran hospital with underground connection. Signage between the hospital and hotel could be improved. Hotel offers a discount to visitors who have someone in the hospital when booked with the hotel directly.
Jeff
Spacious and comfortable room, small kitchen was well stocked and clean. Gunderson is a solid hotel choice
john
We loved our suite. Easy access to the health care campus makes this the very best option for anyone who might need to be close to the health care facilities.
Scott
Clean room and good value.
Rory
Excellent place to stay. This hotel is top notch. Staff excellent. Rooms are very clean.
Tamria
The staff was very pleasant and the room was clean. The only thing that would need to be replaced is the desk chair, it was very worn and had a good size hole in it.
Ashley
Large clean room. Staff was very friendly. Would highly recommend.
Margaret
The rooms were clean and orderly. It was a good value for the money. The staff was helpful and courteous.
Allyson

Rebecca

Considering I don’t even get to stay at the hotel is the huge problem I ran into. I contacted the gunderson a few days before arrival stating I needed shorten our stay by one day. They said since it was booked with Expedia I had to do it from there. Expedia wouldn’t allow me to shorten the stay stating it was full. So Expedia states they reached out to the gunderson to manually shorten my stay. I receive notification that my stay was successfully shortened and that I still had my booking for the previous night. Kept copies of confirmation of change. Get to hotel day of check in and was told since I was a no show the first night my entire booking was cancelled. Mind you the night they claim as no show was the day I cancelled days before. Then had to try to find a hotel during a state dance competion. Found one room costing me over $300 more per night. Got no compensation from either The Gunderson or Expedia! Wont be using either of these places in the future.
Frank
Staff was okay. Elevator buttons worked very poorly. Took forever to get back down to the first floor
Sandra
Rooms here are always clean and staff is friendly
Robert
everything was great
Richard
The hotel was spotlessly clean. Check-in desk staff were polite and professional. Room was huge. Bed was comfortable--not too hard or too soft but just wonderfully right. Breakfast options included hot items and cold breakfast item. Parking lot was well lit. No complaints from me!
Marianne
Room was very nice! Elevator button for the 1st floor was out. Making it difficult with luggage. You have to go to the LL and then walk upstairs to 1st floor lobby area. Breakfast was good. Clean hotel.
Sean
Room was very clean and spacious. My only complaint is one of the beds could use a new mattress and the 1 button in the elevator needs to be fixed.
Rhiannon
When we got there our toilet was broke so the staff quickly moved us to another room. Both rooms were very clean and well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our entire wrestling team and the parents that stayed there. They were able to recommend several good places to eat and visit nearby. Parking was never an issue and never had to park way far away. I would definitely recommend to family and friends and would stay there again.
Melissa
Spacious room! Let us check in early for a nominal fee. Only thing I would suggest is hooks for towels in bathroom as well as a rail for hand towel. Maybe a larger vanity as counter space was limited in such a large bathroom. But that is just minor details. Wish breakfast had waffles. Coffee was good!
Michael
Great hotel overall. Breakfast , staff, and location. The pull out bed was not comfortable though.
Heather
Our front desk agent at check in was unfriendly, but the rest of our stay everyone we encountered was absolutely wonderful. A regular shower option would have been nice. It was quiet and comfortable stay overall and convenient to get to the La Crosse Center.
Sara
Room was really nice set up. We were on the first floor on the street side and the street noise was a little disruptive until I could fall asleep. It was nice to have access to coffee, tea and fountain soda all day.
Devin
I understand but disappointed you chose to not allow me to check out a day early with impending blizzard
William

Erik
Clean and a nice breakfast.
Rebecca
Very clean and updated spaces. Lots of road noise made it hard to sleep (and my room was next to an elevator and laundry chute on the main floor). There needs to be more hooks for towels in the bathroom. Breakfast was great!
Bruce
place is set up for older guests, anticipating elders needs. While we don't yet require that, we can appreciate their forward looking approach to serving older people.
Erin
Room was clean and quiet. Staff was nice. Asked for late check out and was given 2 additional hours for no extra charge.
Heidi
Clean and comfortable
Dawn
The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Nice sized room, comfortable beds, and lovely bathroom space with walk-in shower. Buffet breakfast included vegetable omelets, ham slices, and diced potatoes. We stayed the night because my family member was having a medical procedure next door at Gundersen clinic. So wonderful to mot have to worry about driving early in the morning. Overall, a very positive experience! Highly recommend.
Robert
yes
jim
Clean, convenient. I like our receipt
Rhonda
I like the location of being across the street from the clinic. Ease of parking and great breakfast choices. My room was large and clean but had a distinctive smoke smell.
Steve
Clean facility, friendly staff, limited breakfast , so so food quality.
Steve
Asked to switch rooms because of traffic noise on the highway side of the building. The staff did not hesitate to take care of us.
Douglas
Everything was great. Way less expensive than the other options in town. Breakfast was available until 930 and at 910 almost everything was gone. No restocking.
Handlebar
Great location, excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.
Carlton
Easy access to the city, free parking.
Karen
This hotel was very comfortable and clean. The location seemed safe and therefore we walked a mile to dinner without concerns. That is always a plus during a road trip. Breakfast provided was very good.
Kevin
Over all it was ok. Clean, friendly staff. Very noisy room being situated off the road. Breakfast was not too pleasing, limited and dried out.
Hallie
Everyone was helpful & kind. Bed V comfortable & room was spacious! Breakfast was delicious. We loved having a gym as well. Would stay again when visiting the lovely city of La Crosse!
Micheal G
