The breakfast was a disappointment some ancient chicken nuggets cold fries and some sausages. They had someone selling us a good breakfast but that is messed up; and watered down juice. The room was just a little dated but the front desk Vanessa was helpful and documented all the issues wwe incurred the best amenities would be the Jacuzzi after my 6 hour drive

Excellent!! Very well maintained, clean, and location is safe. We stayed for a 3 day trip which was cut short unfortunately due to a family emergency. I requested to refund and they did without hesitation. They refunded us 1 night for our early check out. Will definitely book with them again

The room itself was very welcoming. Clean spacious and comfortable. Love the fact that it's a non smoking environment. Staff member was knowledgeable followed steps and instructions to make my stay as welcome as possible. Thank you for making me feel right ay home. Much appreciated. The hotel was clean, but the room was dated. The shower-tub combination was ancient and cracked, the mattress was tough, and I had a restless night. The day personnel were amicable, but the lady during our check-in was a little rude. Even though I had all my paperwork online, she made me sign more paperwork because \"I did my reservation through a 3rd party\". I guess you get what you pay for. No, I won't stay here again.

I love staying here and enjoying the well maintained pool with palm trees surrounding me. It's just beautiful! The pool is mostly shallow, so perfect for families to keep an idea on their kids safety. I love the location right off the main freeway, but for some reason it was so quiet. I had an outside room at first, but requested to be closer to the pool, so they changed it easily. Perhaps the inner rooms made it so quiet. Everyone was great...Oh, I forgot to mention is typical BUT they have a REAL chef with gourmet breakfast options. I cam to to go the dentist in Mexico so didn't have a chance to try it, but oh did it smell good! The price is also very reasonable.

What a nightmare

We checked in on Monday to attend a dentist appointment on Tuesday. My appointment went smothly, but my wife's required an additional appointment on Friday. So on Tuesday I went on Hotels.com and extended our stay till Saturday morning. On Wednesday afternoon we were at a late lunch at Dennys. I got a phone call, which I blew off as I didn't recognize the phone number. A short time later, still at Dennys, I see it's a Weslaco TX phone number. So I answer the call, It's the manager from Super 8, He wants to know why I haven't vacated the room yet? I told him I extended my stay through Hotels.com. He tells me I booked the wrong hotel. I said ok, look as soon as I finish eating I will come to the office and show you my email confirmation from Hotels.com. Ok so we finish eating and I show him both email confirmations show same hotel same room type, standard room. Ok No more talk about I booked at the wrong Hotel. Now it's I booked a different room than i have now. Ok How do we fix this, move up to the 2nd floor from the 1st floor or pay an extra 7 dollars a day. I said ok I'll pay the extra $21 and some change extra, however I am going to give you a dismall review. His response, \"Yeah, Sure!
21 dollars was more important to him than a good review. I am 70 years old and disabled, my wife is 67. This is how they treat seniors.

A great choice if you are visiting Nuevo Progreso

Located just off I-2, and a quick 22 minute journey to the border, Super 8 has become my lodging of choice.
The beds are comfortable. The fridge and microwave are always handy. The soap, shampoo, hand and body wash, and moisturizer are great. They use the bottles that are secured to the wall as a more eco-friendly option.
You can watch HBO, enjoy the pool or hot tub.
They have charging spots for electric vehicles.
They have a small store with snacks, candy, drinks, and other incidentals in the lobby.
They serve a hot breakfast with sausage, breakfast potatoes, make your own waffles, and more. But if you are in the mood for something else, Chef Cris will make you an omelet or breakfast taco as part of the premium breakfast option. I paid $6 for a really good loaded omelet, made to order.
I recommend you give it a try. It might become your go-to lodging as well.

Pull out sofa did not have sheets. A big wad of hair ball was floating around in the room. Not ours. Shower had some hairs on the wall, not the cleanest. Good variety in breakfast. Diabetic friendly.
