No breakfast, had cereal and no milk, asked and they appologized and did not have any. Only breakfast was a loaf of bread and a toaster with peanut butter. No coffee. This was at 7am. room was dirty and had hair in shower, beds where made poorly. T.v did not work and lights flickered.

Parking was adequate. I learned that coffee machine was available 24/7 so my concern that I could only brew decade in my room seems irrelevant. The waffle or pancake option was unavailable which is too bad. The mini fridge froze my items but was great for my purchased drinks. The towels and sheets were clean and the shower worked great.

Staff doesn't speak English, extremely difficult to communicate. First room I was in had no heat, they put me in another room that was heated. Also, no drinking cups/glasses, no sink stopper. It was a cheap stay, but not so convenient when the you can't verbally communicate with the staff. Super 8 by name only.

Very disrespectful and after asking for down stairs room, they rented my room from last 2 days and put me upstairs! I have a back injury and climbing stairs hurts my back seriously. The room they put me in is basically nothing but a bed and a shower, no coffee pot, tv doesn't work! It's definitely not a executive suit for sure, not even close! The air conditioning only works part time and the mini refrigerator is just that mini! With a hole in the counter top and holes everywhere in the walls that are not patched, just holes through the drywall! There is no head board and the room stinks bad! I promise I will never stay at Motel 8 ever again, EVER AGAIN!! So my recommendation to anyone that asks is DON'T STAY AT MOTEL 8!!

Room had cobwebs, a broken dresser drawer but we didn't need to use it. The shower head leaked and sprayed out over the curtain on the floor. Sad to say the hotel is a bit shabby and not handicap friendly. Meaning the toilet is too low and no grab rails for the bathroom anywhere.

This served its purpose, bed & shower. The room comfortable & quiet.
The main entrance/ lobby is at one end of the building while parking is along the 2/3 of the other end of the building. Gotta haul luggage some distance. Once inside, there is no elevator to the 2nd level...gotta haul luggage up 2 sections of stairs.
My bed linens were not suitable. The blanket between the sheet & top cover had weed seed stickers all over. This didn’t affect my sleep, just poorly kept.

I have reported this establishment to the health department. The hotel and rooms were absolutely disgusting.

None of the rooms had been cleaned. They tried to put us in a room that smelt as if someone died in it. The beddiing, bath, drapes, lampshades and more were filthly with dirt and stains. The lock on the door was broken.

The hotel was in shambles. The juice machine, waffle maker, pool area and lounge restrooms were all out of order. The staff didnt bother to even brew coffee.

To add insult to injury, when we went to the front desk in the morning to get manager info, were we yelled at publicly in front of other guests like children. This is the worst unacceptable experience I have had in 58 years of cross country travel. Expedia needs to omit this establishment from their portfolio.

I booked this pet friendly hotel with Expedia. When I checked in, I waited for about 10 min for someone to finally arrive to help me. I told them I had 2 pets. They charged me 35$ per pet! Plus $100 deposit. I really wish they would advertise what their pet fees are on Expedia before we book the hotel, I would have gone to another property.

the grounds were terrible and overgrown. the room had holes in the wall. there were broken light fixtures. the shower had lots of mold growing in it. the shower wall was rotted. there was a coffee pot but no coffee or tea. we were there 2 nights and they did not make the beds or clean the room after the 1st night. the pillows had no cases. I am handicapped but was forced to walk nearly the entire length of the property to get to my room.

We didn’t end up staying - went to our room couldn’t turn the lights on finally got one light to turn on realized there was a huge blood stain all over the bedding- only to then realize they had bed bugs & went to tell the staff who went and seen the bugs himself to then ask if I wanted to switch to a different room. I said absolutely not I would like a refund. They tried to refuse- I had to file a dispute with my card to get my money back. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Rude management robbed us! We needed to stay an extra night because our first night we got no sleep due to a fault A.C. unit smoking and smelling horrible tried contacting anyone from 3 a.m. on but no luck asked the first worker we saw who instructed us to just call our booking co. And new room would be ready each night has a $100 cash only deposit on top of rate they then took $40;for fees they only said were the fees for the hotel the coffee pot or microwave didn't work and half the lights were burned out the way we were talked to by the owners of management was horrible the ad online stated it had a pool it had no pool or working ice machine this is s disgusting motel at best that smells like burt Indian food that's over powering mixed with body odor worst experience ever stay clear from this death trap at all costs!!

Stayed one night. The young lady who checked us in was new, I get that, however it was awkward and not welcoming. I did request ADA accomodations, but no elevator and had to wait for a room to be ready. The bedding had some questionable stains and even if the bedding was washed, it scraped off... ewwww! Vending machines are cash only! The breakfast consisted of toast, dry cereal and a handful of donut holes. I wont be returning.

I called earlier in the week to find out if they allow early check-in. I was told they do for $15.00 got to the hotel and the individual at the front counter said it would be $30.00 to check-in early. I wound up paying $20.00 as an early check-in fee. The sign outside the hotel is advertising a pool BUT the pool has no water in it. We had 3 people in the room but only 2 towels and the tub/shower was mighty sketchy! Overall I would have chosen somewhere else to stay.

El Super 8, the dumps.

My stay was terrible. First someone came into my room when I was out for work, when I returned the door was filled open, cracked open. Second they are scammers, they kept my deposit saying I needed to stay 6 or i days instead of the 5 I booked it for. El Super 8 try to rip off people that don't know the policies or that don't speak very good English. Fortunately I'm American-Mexican and caught these scammers lying through their teeth. DO NOT STAY HERE, the free breakfast was toast and a bowl of cereal. The milk was in a coffee container placed on top of a bucket of ice inside a broken fridge. The coffee machine was out of order and there was a sign saying you can make waffles but there was no waffle maker in sight. THE POOL was closed and has been closed for over a year with no intention of it ever opening up. I WILL BE CALLING THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND BBB.

Don’t waste your time.

Absolutely would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! The few good reviews just ignore them! The staff is super rude, the pool is closed and it does not list that on the website. The beds are not comfortable at all! The bathtubs look dirty. Light switches and plug ins in the room did not even work. You truly get what you pay for staying here. Thankful we was only passing thru and just needed somewhere to crash for one night. But I would not recommend this place to anyone. Just find somewhere else. Honestly if new owners would take it over maybe it would be better. But for the owners now it would be better if they just closed.

The room looked nice, but was far from it, every electric plug is a fire hazard. You plug something in, it fals right out. They have one plug that you have to play, plug switch to use the light on the wall, or to use the refrigerator or the microwave or the coffee pot which the coffee pot cord doesn't even reach the plug in, oh dont forget that this plug, only one of the two plugs work at all. The light Switch for the light to the bathroom when you turn it off or on pops loud because of electrical Arking going on in the switch extreme shock hazard. The bathroom Toilet leaked around the donut for some time you could see where they are cleaning mold up and still mold there. Sit on the toilet and it rocks back and forth. After dealing with all these issues. I dropped something and it went between the bed and the wall and when i looked, i couldnt believe my eyes. There was so much mouse crap on the floor you could hardly see the color of the carpet. I was sicken to think my head was that close to all that and i have breathing issues. Plus, if you have a A service.
Or support animal this hotel. If you do not bring them in when you Check-in, they will not accept them. Period

Im calling state health and fire Marshall. Will be posting videos on utube. Never will i stay here EVER AGAIN.

When my daughter and I woke up she had bites on her arm. We looked around the bed and noticed a couple of bed bugs. We got some toilet paper and flushed them down the toilet. When we went to check out nobody was in the area.

Well our stay was decent, until we got to our room. We entered the room and got induced with a god awful stench of cigarette smoke. Which is funny because there was a no smoking policy. Next we wanted to take a shower. It was a terrible experience. Why you may ask? Well the shower head had a Terrible calcium buildup, the water pressure was very skimpy, very weak I may say. We were greeted by only one shower towel as a family of three, this shall not stand. One other large issue is the wretched AC unit, It sounded like an opening door every 30 minutes which was very concerning because with thought we were going to get murdered in our sleep every thirty minutes.we also learned that safety is not their number one priority for their guests because, they cheaped out on the door locks. There was only one way to lock the door instead of two. Don’t even get me started on the rock solid beds with thin/scratchy sheets. And the Their breakfast as well very disappointing hosting us with only waffles and very cheap donut holes. For being apart of the whyndham name, I think Wyndham made a poor choice investing in this rancid hotel and needs to reconsider their endorsement to such a disgusting establishment. Do better in the future if not for the families that stay in your care do it for the prestigious name of whyndam.

This is the worst motel I’ve ever stayed in. Although the Accommodations were decent the staff were rude as all get out. We made reservations here on this app that weren’t recognized and even though they said they were pet friendly they charged 35 dollars more. And they were so uncooperative. This place is obviously managed by someone wanting to pinch a dime out of every dollar. The curtains have sunrot, the hot tub was boarded up, the pool was closed and drained, the breakfast is minimal, the yard unmowed, there were crayons under the bed. These are just a few example. Speaking of the bed if you sit on the foot of it the whole thing told because there no support system. Potentially very dangerous. If you check in early there is a fee. If you check out late- a fee. Dont return the magnetic card- fee. Saw small holes in the wall that were never repaired, many areas that need a little paint, the parking signs are sun bleached to completely white. With some maintainence and better management this place could be really good.
I give it 2 of 5 stars because it meets very minimum requirements and had a good price.

Once we turned on the bathroom light we found the other lights were not plugged in. I really don’t feel it is the customer’s responsibility to crawl around or under furniture to plug the lights in. . I travel through Davenport at least six to eight times a year. I have stayed at this hotel before but have never seen it in such terrible condition.

There was no microwave or coffee pot in the room like the description said. The swimming pool wasn't open, which was the main reason i booked, the bathroom wall was crumbling above the shower head, the bathrrom sink leaked water from the faucet if it wasn't turned all the way to the right, the window had a huge crack in it, i found crayons on the floor that i didn't bring with me, and finally, none of the 2 outlets in the room worked very well for holding a block to charge my phone. One behind the nught stand was cracked and could hurt someone, the other pretty much spit the blocks back at us when we put them in. I didn't bother mentioning it to the hotel because i was exhausted from my drive and not staying too long. The free breakfast was pretty dismal as well. Cardboard waffles, 2 types of cereal, donut holes, and a loaf of bread. Definitely picking a different hotel if i have to go back to Iowa again.

The motel room was disgusting, dirty, smelly and the carpet felt sticky. But for $60 what do you expect. Would NOT recommend this motel to anybody. The pool was not even open. Had to ask the front desk for towels because there were none. The 2 hand towels were all stained. Just plain terrible place. Wish i could get my money back.

You get what you pay for.

Everything essential was present, clean and functional, but check-in was brusque, the pool advertised on the sign was under maintenance, the room had missing appliances and empty fixtures, the corners of the room were filthy, the hot water was lukewarm, there was a layer of *something* peeling off the window, and I could clearly hear what was happening in a nearby room and it wasn’t conversation. But sheets seemed clean - no bedbugs - and I felt safe.

It wasn't bad, but definitely not great. Fair for what I paid.

The lobby looked good and modern, the hallways were clean. Everything worked in the room.

The room looked like it had some things missing. There was a huge rectangular hole in the counter under the microwave next to the sink. I don't know what was there before, but whatever it was; it was huge. It could have been a small range.

Then there are places on the wall that looked like there was a framed picture there at once, but someone pried them off.

The staff were okay. Not rude, but not really welcoming.

The hotel itself isn't necessarily right off the I-80. It's a little difficult to get to if you don't know how. Its off of a very narrow service road that has only 1 way in, and out. From veterans memorial parkway. A cracker barrel sits right across the street. The service road butts out at a dead end with the cracker barrel parking lot.

You can easily see the signs for the super 8, and the cracker barrel. Don't be fooled, although you are close, there's only one way in. Finding the entrance to that service road is not easy.

Overall, not a bad experience. It's has an awkward location, and it's nothing special. Bland even.

They do offer extended stays.

The upkeep at this property was not very good. Hallways not the cleanest. Indoor pool was closed indefinitely. My room 1 bed was broken, light bulbs burnt out toilet kept running 1 bed missing some bedding. While standing on line to check out spoke to other guest abs they all very similar complaints about theirs rooms.

Check in was fine but after we got into the room we realized that the toilet seat was missing! I told the manager and he said that the housekeeper told him but he let us rent the room. He didn't charge us for the room which i appreciated.

First of all, I had to clean my own room when I arrived, , the worker helped me because apparently there was nothing else available even though I had booked my reservation through Expedia. One of the beds in the room was broken. One of the beds didn’t have a headboard. There was food stuck on the inside of the refrigerator and inside of the microwave, there was about an inch of dust around the edge of the entire room. It was worse behind the nightstand, there was a conch all over the hairdryer. There was black mold, coming out of the vents, I even had to vacuum, they discriminated against my service dog, there was no other place in the area for me to stay, I had my daughter stay with another teammate the second night and we didn’t even stay the third night and we still got charge for everything and they also charge me a patchy even though they said they weren’t going to charge for my dog that is a service dog . I tried to change rooms and they kept on showing me rooms that were worse than the room that I had already cleaned and when I asked them was it because of my dog, they said yes, so they’re again they are discriminating against my service dog, furthermore, Pool didn’t work they advertise the pool does work, they were pissed that I had booked through Expedia and that if I had any problems I should contact Expedia and one of the workers said that they don’t even know why Expedia is trying to partnership with them in the first place and then when I asked to speak with who
