I loved everything about this hotel. It’s a beautiful beachfront property but also has a stunning pool with swim up rooms or little channels you can swim in. We upgraded to one of the boat suites and it was amazing. Well worth it! The staff are also very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel. Book it! You won’t be disappointed.

We had an amazing stay at the Melia Hotel. The staff were absolutely wonderful throughout our visit. A special mention to Krog and Nay, along with many others whose names we didn’t catch. Everyone was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always happy to help, which made the whole experience feel very welcoming.

The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained, modern and there are some great activities available. We particularly enjoyed the herbal compress class taught by Mui. It was a fantastic experience and something a little different that we thoroughly enjoyed.

We stayed in one of the boat suites, which was beautiful, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with a lovely layout. It made the stay feel even more special.

The location is excellent. It’s peaceful and quiet but not too remote like some other hotels in the area. Being right on the beach is also incredibly convenient and adds to the relaxing atmosphere.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The only small downside was that there weren’t quite enough chairs on the beach, but aside from that everything was excellent.

The front desk staff are quite daft to be honest. They can’t even do the simple things right.

There is a poor atmosphere in the lobby. Most of the day there is only one person around and no communication with anyone. They say just download the app and find all the info there. We found this very poor for a 5 star resort.

At the pool the service is very poor to get a drink and you have to actually make an eggy to call someone over or go and get it yourself.

The property itself is fine but they need to up their game.

The staff were very nice and it was nice of the hotel to upgrade our room for our honeymoon. However, this hotel is run down. It doesn’t look like there has been much up keep of the property, it certainly does not reflect the pictures online. The breakfast buffet was very basic. There was little to no service around the pool.
In the room that we stayed it the toilet always smelled very bad. I think something to do with the pipes.

Would definitely return to this place in a heart beat. Felt like luxury without too large prices. First class resort where we spent 8 glorious nights in boat level suite #15. 5 of the 6 of these were similarly designed with a separate sitting room and outside stairs leading to a large deck. Inside are 2 TVs. No 13 is different, with no living room but a larger bathroom, 1 TV, and brighter upstairs bedroom (but 1 bedside table) leading to a smaller deck.
Gorgeous grounds, beautifully designed, lovely main pool and other swimming and relaxing areas and hideaways.
Boat level suites are pricey, but had easy access to the Level where breakfast is served and exotic drinks from 5:30 to 7:30 along with hors d’oeuvres. Many guests used this for “free” dinner – as did we on many nights.
Suite was very spacious if not a bit dark – white walls, the plentiful lights, and small windows reminiscent of a boat helped to brighten the space. High-quality towels and bedding, comfortable bed, large bedside tables and double sinks in the bathroom. Quiet.The shower is the best I have experienced anywhere in the world. AC was quiet and worked quickly. Bedroom lights, however, did not function well; we could not turn on bedside table lights without all overhead lights going on – defeating the purpose of bedside lights!
Hardworking staff were fantastic, but especially those at the Level who served us so cheerfully and well. Thank you Maya, Bell, Kim, Tamarind, Sachi, Pink, Pin and BIG love to Queen, Zena, and Keng who were delightful fun. And our fav golf cart driver, Krod.
Recommended!

I want to take a moment to thank the staff first. From beginning to the end of our stay we had phenomenal conversations, service and support from the staff. They got to know my husband and I in a personal level and at one point knew us by name! They wouldn’t just check to see how our stay was going but check on us personally. I’m 1000% recommending friends and family to stay here. The people are amazing.

Fai and Paul were excellent. Fai help organize our wedding which was held on beach. The gazebo was incredibly decorated with flowers and lights. We had dinner on the beach under the stars in gazebo. It was so beautiful.

Paul helped us coordinate transportation for a 7 hour island adventure exploring the island.

Kord was super helpful and attentive to help us manage our bags during our stay.

Many others were so helpful. We loved the resort and will be back.

We had a great stay at the Melia and would certainly recommend it to other travelers. Fantastic breakfast spread, good size rooms (loved the ceiling fan on the terrace) and friendly staff. Lots of restaurants along the beach for meals and drinks. Speaking of which...the one negative for me were the cocktails at the hotel, for some reason they all tasted strongly of lemon and the daiquiris were not made with real fruit. Avoid and go to any of the local beach bars instead. Top tip - The adults only area upstairs to the left of the beachside pool was never busy and provided a nice quiet view of the beach and pool.

Amazing property with high quality food and drinks, the pool was amazing. The breakfast was small but had everything needed for an amazing high quality breakfast. The produce was fresh. The beach was clean and waters clear. Service was really good and the staff friendly and always smiling. The ambience of the resort was relaxing.

Only downside was that there were no elevators and no ramps throughout the facility which made it tricky with prams which meant couldn’t access the middle gardens/ other pool/ kids club area.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Melia Samui. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are gorgeous and the service was exceptional. We stayed in a Club Level Room and it was certainly worth the upgrade. The rooms were fantastic, great size and very comfortable beds and pillows. The rooms were on the ground floor so they had direct access to the wrap around pool that goes around the hotel. Great for an afternoon swim. We have to thank the staff at The Level as they really made our holiday special. They were all so lovely and welcoming, we didn't want to leave. Special shout outs go to Maya and her lovely team, Auong, Sky, Mamai, Dew, Keng, Queen, Seen and Lisa. They all looked after us at The Level. The breakfast at The Level was perfect, there was a lot of choice and was part ala carte. We tried the breakfast at the normal breakfast area which was also great but it felt more relaxing and special at The Level. The evening cocktails and canapes were also a bonus. We had great weather the whole time we were there so the sea was beautiful. The bay itself is beautiful although I thought it was a bit too crowded. Another special mention goes to Bauw who looked after us on the beach or around the pool. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel and service. We stayed in a room with direct access to the pool, it was out of this world. The figure of 8 pool was lovely to swim round with a bar pool, swing chairs and slides along the way. The VIP access that came with our room was a massive perk and made our stay, as did all the staff. We’ve never been treated so well at a hotel, thank you. Room was very comfortable and the extra activities were great, we tried yoga and kayaking. There was also paddle boarding and table tennis and much more. We’d love to come back. It looked like plenty of people go every year.

Unfortunately we didn’t have the weather in Ko Samui but the stay was still great thanks to the accommodating staff and food and drink options not too far away.

Room floorboards were coming up, AC leaking (despite being told it was fixed), laundry came back dirty and staff acted like they were doing us a favour by removing the charge.

A really nice hotel. We initially had a boathouse room but asked to be changed to a premium room.
The boathouse had a lot more space but was on 2 floors which we did not like.
The premium room was more of a typical set up which we preferred and thought was lovely.
As for the hotel itself. The grounds are beautiful making it nice to walk around. We spent most of our days on the beach.
A special mention to Baw who was more than happy to help throughout the day.

The stay was alright, but I didn’t think anything special. The rooms were spacious and clean, but felt a little outdated and the floorboards were creaky. The staff were all very nice and accommodating, which was a huge plus. The facilities (pool, beach chairs, bars) were good but also felt outdated / could use renovation or replacement. However, we did really enjoy the breakfast which was available up until 11AM. There was an incredible food offering and exceeded my expectations.

This is an excellent resort. The pool is amazing and winds around the property as well as a large lagoon with lots of deck chairs. There is direct access to the beach. The breakfast is fantastic. There are lots of restaurants nearby on the beach. The staff are helpful and freindly.

Unique hotel with nice facilites and pool. Boat suite had an amazing bathroom but not the most practical room. Unfortunately was let down by the service. Had an issue with our booking which front desk were unhelpful with and couldn't resolve. Lots of other 5 stars on the island that are just as nice and with much better service.

We stayed in a boat suite right in front of the pool. The room was fantastic with an amazing view. I love the proximity of the pool to the beach. The resort is very quiet and peaceful. There is a kids area but I didn't notice it being too noisy. The breakfast buffet was good. The resort is located in a small village with several dining options, massage spas, convenience stores. It is 15 min taxi to Fishermans Village and 15 min taxi to Chaweng. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

We received an upgrade to the non-seaview boat suite, and asked to be downgraded instead! The boat suite was a re-purposed fishing boat, so there were steps and stairs, splitting up the space and making the room quite dark and pokey. The regular room is quite large with a terrace and an outside tub so we were happier there. The breakfast was great, and the beach was clean, with dining options along the shore. The pool was crowded - there wasn't any space to swim laps so we just dipped ourselves in the water and walked around. It was an overall pleasant experience.
