From start to finish, this holiday was absolute perfection! The highlight was undoubtedly our luxurious room - spacious, beautifully designed, and complete with private pool. Waking up and stepping straight into crystal-clear water was a dream.

The food was another standout - every meal was a delight, with fresh, flavourful dishes and plenty of variety. Whether it was a relaxed breakfast by the pool or a candlelit dinner, everything was cooked to perfection.

The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile - they made us feel truly welcome and cared for throughout our stay.

What an amazing resort, the villa and pool were perfect for telqxibg in private, while the central pool and bar/restaurant area had lots to offer too. Food and drinks were a little on the expensive side compared to other places in the island, however it was a short walk / quick taxi ride to find alternatives. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing resort then look no further than the SAii Koh Samui Villas.

We loved our stay at this beautiful resort on a secluded beach. The grounds were gorgeous and our villa with plunge pool was just lovely. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant with the breakfast buffet being a stand out due to the quality and variety offered. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Housekeeping decorated our villa for my husband's birthday and provided him with a cake which was a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated.

There isn't a lot within walking distance but you can take advantage of the shuttle service provided by the resort or take a taxi/Grab to get to Chaweng Beach, Choeng Mon Beach or Fisherman's Village.

We would definitely stay here again. 10/10

We loved our stay at SAii the rooms were nice and spacious and well set up, very private in a lush garden setting. The plunge pool was lovely to jump into when the pool wasn’t open. The pool restaurant and bar area overlook the beach making it a stunning setting to relax in. Not too many people, great food, great staff quiet and peaceful was just what we wanted.
A little out of the way but not far to get to other areas by taxi.

Beautiful boutique resort away from the busy areas but near enough in a taxi to restaurants etc. the private beach was really unspoiled and the resort was in very good condition. The rooms were very spacious and beds large with comfortable mattresses. The staff were absolutely amazing they couldn’t do enough for us. Food was good too! The only downside was there wasn’t enough sunbeds at times around the pool. I would definitely recommend the SAii and return there in the future.

Beachfront Not worth it

We had a 7 night stay at Saii, we booked a beachfront room and the next day down graded to a deluxe pool room. The beachfront room pool was small and very un inviting. Next room pool double the size they even put a big sandstone box in the pool to make it easier for me to get in out. The whole room was so much better and newer. nothing to much trouble for the staff our shower blocked and flooded the bathroom they came straight away all cleaned up. Food here is beautiful thank goodness as it’s a long walk to anything else. All staff fantastic thank you Ink, Phi Phi, & Tania. Boss in the restaurant and all the restaurant staff spot on. I think you really need a scooter here if you are not content to sit around.

The beach is pretty dirty the price of the room is high for the area you expect a top of the top service and quality which unfortunately doesn’t meet expectation the “pool” room is a plundge barely usable. We paid for upgrade even tho our status should get free upgrade and we were told the hotel is “ booked out” which it wasn’t. The new room was nice but strong odor in shower. Paint on the curtain. And when I ask for front desk for a laundry pick up 5 min from
Hotel I was told it wasn’t possible. Oh also I was charge 500 THB for an hotel transfer which is a 7 min ride worth 200thb at max. We stayed in the saii Koh phi phi expérience was way nicer.

The standard of this hotel was wonderful and if it wasnt for the fact that our agent managed to get us a room upgrade with large pool, we would have been really disappointed. Mainly the fact that the pictures of the beach are not what they appear to be! The hotel beach is very rocky, lots of stones and uninviting. If you’re looking for a beach hotel with soft sand and tourquoise sea, then this is not what you will find here. The main pools are very small too and believe they would have looked more inticing if they had a lighter colour tile, it would have been more attractive.
The location is taxi/shuttle ride away from the main strip. The hotel offer a shuttle for THB100 per person each way at selected times to Cheweng which is where you find lots of action and plenty of restaurants. Grateful that this option was available.

The breakfast is very repative with no changes to what's on offer at all.

In terms of resort restaurants, there is only the one and although they offer themed food nights, the food was fresh but could have had more flavour.

Staff however, are lovely, friendly, very approacable and try to do their best to make you happy.

If I return to Koh Samui, would choose a location with a nicer beach.

This is very extra points special to the international travelers, we’re been on the flight so many hours and able to check in rest and refresh instead waiting until the usual 2 or 3PM. So 5* it isnt. 4* at best. I always go for a bit of luxury on my last week in Thailand. So having paid £200 per night at a 5* hotel for a week i was expecting just that. Unfortunately this hotel falls far short. I really cant be bothered to go into all the details so ill just summarise.
Good points;
Great service. Lovely private beach ( though not owned by the hotel). Quiet.
Bad points:
Very very tired. Needs major maintennace. Even a bit of varnish at the least.
Glorified huts. Claustrophobic. No views. TV in room 20 years old, grainy, poor volume. Very very expensive food, mini bar, drinks etc. Rocky beach. No atmosphere. Bed hard. Uncomfortable. Air con poor. Pillows. ( one massive bean bag like, one rock hard normal size. ) for me, a 5* hotel needs to have a good bed and pillows. I didnt sleep well once. This is unforgiveable. Pool, restaurant and bar all together in a rather narrow contstriced space by beach and really not very inviting. Very few sunbeds.. Ive stayed at 4* hotels in Thailand that are far superior to Outrigger. Needless to say i shall never return and sorely regret have paid in advance on a non refundable . Didnt even include breakfast. Shocking.

Outrigger really needs a make over it looks really dated with alot of the wood needing a good sand and polish, the shower was terrible, customer service on arrival was great then after initial greeting was poor and when we checked out was quite rude, it's also fairly out of the way and has limited shuttle bus times compared to other places we have stayed, for the price we payed for this I give it 2/5

Fantastic hotel and excellent staff!

Overall a fantastic hotel. The whole team are brilliant and will cater to your every need - you cannot fault their hospitality. Specially Su on the bar who always looked after us with the most amazing cocktails, plus Milk in the restaurant remembering our names from the first day we arrived and always being a happy face to say hello to you. The management team and guest services also brilliant.

We did have a few problems during our stay with toilets / showers but were quickly resolved. We also upgraded our room for the last few days - a pool villa is a must in my opinion.

Overall a great hotel, excellent service for both food and drinks, would recommend to anyone who is looking for a piece of paradise in Koh Samui.

The property was amazing the staff are fantastic.
The only downside is it’s a bit outside of town and the transfers On Koh Samui coat more than they would on the mainland. There isn’t any real entertainment at the resort they do cooking classes and seafood nights but there is no music or performance on any nights.. if you have your international drivers license which only cost $39 you can hire a scooter from just outside the resort for $10 a day and go exploring

Outstanding hotel and a wonderful stay

The hotel is small but wonderfully intimate it was lovely and quiet. The rooms were clean, well laid out and well appointed.

The restaurant was brilliant, if a little on the expensive side it is similarly priced to mid range restaurants here in the UK which is high compared to the price of other places near by.

I could not recommend this hotel enough to anyone everyone but it is particularly well suited to couples looking to explore the island.

Below are some things to note they don’t affect my glowing review but I do wish I knew them before making my booking.

The beach, while looking nice is very rocky. The rocks extend out about 100m from the beach and while there is eventually some good swimming to be had you do have to be careful especially so if the water is choppy. The hotel does provide shoes. The upside to this is there is some amazing snorkelling to be had only 5 mins from your room as there is plenty of fish and even some coral near by.

The hotel is set in some lush tropical grounds and the hotel rightly prides itself in its environmental credentials while it looks gorgeous you do get quite a bit of insect noise but we quickly adjusted to this.

Overall we both highly recommend this hotel and an only thank Nat and her staff for making our stay such a pleasure.

Prices to food is over priced compared to the Mall and surrounding lunch areas.

Our room actually short circuited twice we were then upgraded to a Pool Villa which was highly appreciated.

Unfortunately the weather was a bit rainy for us to fully appreciate the pool villa. Hotel staff were very nice and breakfast was good but could have a lot of variations.Outrigger due consider them self 5 stars but compared to other hotel's I have been at they have a lot to work on due truly be considered a 5 star.

Great hotel, if not travelling solo

Was a really lovely hotel, if you are on your honeymoon or travelling with family and you don’t want to leave the resort. As a solo traveller, I wouldn’t stay again though as there’s just not a lot to do in walking distance, nor at the hotel itself.
I had a beachfront room which was lovely and very private. The only negative is the beds were way too hard and the garden was not very well maintained in the courtyard of the room. The bushes were very overgrown and and very prickly to walk through and the lawn needed mowing. However, as soon as I mentioned it to the guy that came to check the pool, he had the Gardner there in less than 5 minutes and tidied it up.... but I was checking out. I should have said something sooner.... my own fault.
The staff were all very lovely, kind and helpfull. The rooms were clean and tidy, but as mentioned above, the beds were too hard of a mattress for my liking.

This is a fabulous hotel with one flaw. The rooms are amazing and the staff couldn't be more polite and helpful. The beach here is one of the prettiest and was always nearly empty. The pool side bar and the grounds themselves were also amazing. The flaw was dining, the best I could give the breakfast is 3 star the dine not so much. Stay here for sure but plan on getting meals elsewhere.

Beautiful Resort with Incredible Service!

We absolutely loved starting our honeymoon at the Outrigger Koh Samui Resort! First and foremost, the service was incredible - every single staff member was so kind and provided top quality service. They remembered our orders and what we liked and would have it ready for us before we even asked! They coordinated all our car transfers and activities, making the whole experience seamless for us! The property itself was gorgeous and we loved our room with the plunge pool! We loved the pool and private beach, used the spa services and free yoga as well which was great!

Only drawback was the remote location - it wasn't to easy to get to other places around the island, you couldn't just walk a short distance for a meal, etc. The restaurant at the Outrigger was nice, but you were definitely paying resort prices (that's really the only thing we wish we had better expectations for beforehand).

Overall, we would definitely recommend this resort for a relaxing vacation, it was the perfect place for us to come slow down and enjoy the beauty of Koh Samui!

Gorgeous hotel for a relaxing break.

We only stayed 3 nights at this lovely hotel and were sorry to leave. Stayed in a plunge pool suite which was fabulous and just a short walk to beach, spa and pool. Not much in local area but hotel runs a shuttle to Chaweng if you want to hit the bars and shops there. Customer service was excellent and friendly. Wide choice of well-prepared food on restaurant menu, with regular buffet nights.

We took the villa with private pool which was a wonderful room and the staff is very friendly however, the beach is small and full of rocks hard to swim there. You will need to go to other beaches to swim or to have a nice scenery. Also, it's not a walking distance to anything useful.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed by the comfort of the bed. The mattress was literally Rock Hard and we didn’t get one good nights sleep out of the three nights we stayed here. We also had a leak in our skylight in the bathroom which made a puddle of water that we had to use 3 towels to keep from spreading on the floor.
The beach is very small and extremely rocky and had a lot of plastic bottles and trash washing ashore.

Positives: friendly staff, great pool and delicious breakfast. Other then that, you can get some much more for the price they charge in Koh Samui.

Great staff, gorgeous food and very luxurious rooms. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, always making sure we were having the best time. Although the resort is located a bit far from the city centre, they provide free shuttle service to the city. For me the best part of to be able to rent a scooter just outside of the hotel for nearly “nothing” 200 Bahts a day. The only downside from this beautiful and amazing hotel was the Spa, it’s unbelievably expensive. A massage for 2000 Bahts while you can get for between 300 to 400 in other places. I understand is a Spa, but the price is insane, I would be pretty much paying nearly the same price as back home in Ireland. Non sense! Apart from that, I have nothing else to say,

Overpriced and a bit run down

This hotel is in some need of work. The towels and curtains had what appeared to be blood stains ( no idea). The pool has some green stuff growing on the tile at the water line. The deck was pretty beaten up with quick fix repairs. The ceiling leaked in the bathroom. The beach looked pretty nice but on closer inspection the sand was very corse and not nice to walk on and although the beach immediately in front of the hotel was free of trash the beach beginning just next to it was rife with trash. There was also what looked to be a large trash dump just next to the hotel that was very visible from the hotel beach. There are also two drainage flows right through the beach from the hotel which were somewhat disconcerting.
Hotel staff seemed overwhelmed. I got used to asking for everything twice. I think the large number of children running around everywhere were keeping their hands full.
This place is too over priced and rundown. You might want to look around for something else.

Could be better

The hotel is clean and the food is good. However the private pool is always filled with leaves and there isn't really much privacy as passersby can easily look into your suite/villa.
There's also nothing much around the area.
Highly suggest to rent a bike/car to get around as cabs are steeply priced.

April break for a couple in Thailand - great

My wife and I booked a last minute deal inc flights and we were very pleased with the outrigger. The hotel was great and had just 59 villas with no high rise which we do not like. Amazing pools, swim up bar and its own beach. The staff were amazing - particularly Rory and Jeffrey who went out of their way to make you comfortable. Free drinks with the management every Wednesday was one of the many nice touches. Definitely returning to this place next year. Peaceful and tranquil yet only 10 minutes by scooter to the bustle of chaweng

Overall an excellent stay! Beachside location, nice swimming pools (cold water though), free shuttle service to Chaweng. Lovely room and bathroom. Private plunge pool looked great but the only downside is the water was too cold in it and many leaves in it.
Service was great and reception staff helpful.
One member of restaurant staff was quite rude and would not smile, she kept urging us to order more drinks/food, which we would not expect from a 5 star hotel as it is customer satisfaction which should be the paramount in their service not trying to make guests order more.
Overall lovely resort and we would recommend to friends.

Quiet November in paradise

This resort is lovely. Best breakfast! We stayed in the garden pool villa. It was pretty private but some gaps in the fence and hedges meant there was no topless sun bathing :-) very quiet in November, and it is about 300-400thb to chaweng main strip and 350thb to Fishermans village. So perfect to get away from it all. Wifi is good but not on the beach. Beach sand is a bit shelly and a bit rocky once in the water but they give you beach shoes. restaurant is nice and lots of options. Pools are great, had them to ourselves most of the time.

The staff there were very helpful and friendly. I had a candle night dinner on the beach that I bought package from the hotel. It was awesome! I came to the right place for pre wedding shooting!

5 star resort.prefect for honeymooner's!

The stay at Akaryn Samui was very relaxing and very comfortable. The Hotel room my wife and I got was a plunge pool suite.The pool was very clean and the room was very spacious. The hotel staff was very polite and everyone we came in contact with knew us by our names towards the end of our 5 day stay there. The Food although a bit expensive was very well prepared, there pizzas are just amazing. They had a wide variety of pizzas with each one having a distinct taste. The Wagu burger I tried was also great. There Thai food and seafood is fresh and to die for. Although the hotel is right at the beach , it is a 5 mins walk from the nearest main street and stores like 7/11. The hotel run a shuttle service to Chaweng beach, only down side is that take you there at 2pm and pick you up at 6pm. So if you want to go there and come back at different times , dont expect an hourly shuttle service. Apart from that everything was perfect. definately a satisfied customer, my wife was throughly impressed by the amenities and the choice I made.

This could of turned into the honeymoon from hell.

What a lovely place, it's a real big sham it's let down by the management, I had a pork BBQ skewer from the hotel restaurant and it tasted funny, I unfoled the meat and see it was raw, when complaining to the maniger he said ( I let me of the bill and really it's your own fault for eating it in the 1st place, ) I emailed him when I got back and told him iv been sick for 3 days and he emaild back and said well you shouldn't of eaten it, not happy at all

Great resort facilities and very pleasant staff

Relaxing environment and great facilities around the hotel for that relaxing holiday. Staff in all areas were very efficient and friendly, particularly restaurants and making breakfast a wonderful way to start each day. Any issues with the room were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Paradise !!

Booked this resort with no advance knowledge and what a bonus .this resort is fantastic . Cannot fault anything .
