Villa was huge, spotless and way beyond our expectations - the photos don't do it justice! Each of the three bedrooms had its own unique feature (swinging chair, outdoor shower and lounge area leading to pool). Staff were friendly. Private pool was amazing. The ocean views were stunning - with beautiful sunrises too. Honestly, there is not one thing I would have changed about this accommodation: it's perfect and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

The Lotus was a Great Luxury Private 2 pool Villa for family of 6! So private and relaxing! Awesome breakfast and food in restaurant next door. Also great shuttle service to Montien House Resort on beach and downtown Koh Samui. Love the walk on the ocean front. All of the Service and Staff at Pawanthorn was so Friendly, Attentive and Helpful! They are making some renovations so can’t wait to go back to see all the new updates to the pool villas. The property was clean and safe and just a 10 minute car ride to all the boat docks for ocean excursions, shopping or beach fun! Khup Khun Mak Ka- Thank You Very Much in Thai!

This was a great experience to have a holiday in a private villa with your own pool overlooking the beach. The villa's are starting to become a bit run down and need some updating, however they are kept very clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a lot of rubbish on the beach, making it hard to enjoy with the kids, but this seems to be a problem throughout the island. The eternity pool was absolutely divine and sparkling clear, definitely a highlight of our stay. The nextdoor restaurant was also delicious and a great option for all meals.

The reception staff were very helpful and accommodating. The location is away from the busy Chaweng beach but close enough to be easily accessible. Transfers to the airport were easily organised and the airport is close too.
I would stay here again. Highly recommended!

We spent 2 weeks at Pawanthorn for our 10 year anniversary. It was perfect for what we wanted, privacy and a private pool. Hotel breakfast and dinner was amazing, but no room service available. Room was cleaned daily, however laundry was disappointing as it took 3 days, instead of 1 day as promised.
We hired a scooter to get around as it's a 10 minute drive to Chaweng which we didn't mind. There was construction downstairs at the restaurant which wasn't overly relaxing while in the pool.
Overall a lovely holiday and would return in the future.

Rooms are a bit aged but fantastic place. We had the 3 bedroom villa n it was very good. Rooms are a bit aged n bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner but overall it was very nice. Loved the pool. The staff were gr8 n the freshly prepared breakfast was amazing.

Outstanding Customer Service!

We stayed for 10 nights during the off-season, so there were never more than a few guests. The staff did a great job taking care of us, always having a wonderful breakfast ready, and providing transportation to Chaweng Beach. The property is a few miles away from the busy area, and requires transportation to really do anything. They provide a free shuttle to their other property on Chaweng Beach, Montien House, which was great, and located near everything in Chaweng. It is also possible to walk along the beach to Chaweng, which takes about an hour. We also rented a motorbike for 5 days, which worked perfectly for getting around the island on our own, for a very reasonable price. By renting from the hotel, we did not have to worry about getting scammed on the deal, that happens a lot when renting from individual companies.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Pawanthrom for 3 nights and it was pretty good. The price is amazing for a private pool villa, couldnt ask for more. It's very clean and its everything we need.

Although relatively close to airport experienced no noise . Great location with Boput and Chaweng in close proximity. Pools amazing. Plenty of sunlounges and umbrellas and gazebos for shade too. Staff were fantastic. Very accommodating and friendly. Extremely helpful with any of our requests or queries. Daily breakfast was a delight. The quietly spoke young cook was a whizz in the kitchen. Loved his different daily dishes. Catered for all tastes.

hotel staffs are nice and helpful. the room pool is quite nice.

but the hotel beach cannot be used. the lock of the room door is ruined. they did not help us to clean the used glasses of the room. there was no renew of bedsheets.
if you pay that price, you can have a better choice.

First time to Samui

Beautiful setting just up the hill from Chaweng Beach. The Staff was GREAT! The rooms are nice, I stayed in a private villa, though there are two small windows that can see into the pool (you would have to make an effort to look into someone's room). Location was about 2k from the airport and 3-5k from Chaweng. Not much within walking distance, but you can rent a scooter/motorbike for $250BHT/$8USD a day and find places within 5 minutes in both directions. I highly recommend this if you are comfortable driving as taxis are much more expensive than in Bangkok and there is nothing within walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast is included and is small, but has more than enough options and was decent enough to fill you up....I enjoyed it.

The staff here was amazing! They helped us book a motorcycle and it was there within 30 minutes of arriving. They also gave us free transfer to and from the airport. They were all so kind and accommodating! We had a very late flight and they let us keep our bags in the office and gave us a room to shower in before our flight! Highly recommend.

Pros:
- spacious villa with a private pool of decent size (really for swimming And not just water fun)
- utmost degree of privacy with quiet neighbourhood
- friendly staff and good choices of breakfast items despite the hotel size (10 villas in total)
- 1-min walk to the beach nearby (more for relaxation rather than swimming or watersports)
- proximity to the airport
- excellent deal amid the price

Cons:
- Not the perfect location for easy access to Chaweong beach and restaurants (motorbike or car rental is highly recommended, 10-min drive to the town is required)
- cozy interior design but the villa structure does not allow any view to the ocean

Stay was very private and quiet with access to our own pool which more than made up for not having direct access to a swimming beach. There was easy access to local taxis to get around to the main tourist areas. Staff were very helpful. Our room was spacious with a fantastic shower. Breakfast options were basic but enough to satisfy with eggs offered any style. Pawanthorn offers very good value for a relaxing holiday stay.

Tropical hide away

On the outskirts of Chaweng Beach (3 mins by Scooter). This accommodation was perfect for my wife and I on our honeymoon. We had a private pool villa which was nothing short of perfect.

There isn't really a beach to swim at out the front as it's mostly rocky. But if you want to swim at the beach go somewhere else. This place better suites people who want to be in a contained accommodation. Private pools, just far enough away to be quiet, without being too far away.

The only con would be that there is no restaurant. However, there is an amazing Thai restaurant next door at the neighboring hotel (1 min walk). Breakfast wasn't amazing, but it was nice to have juice, coffee and a mix between English and Asian buffet breakfast.

We'd definitely consider coming back with several families and booking out some of the larger villas.

We enjoyed our stay but being in the smaller villas (P2 and P3) we found there was no deck chairs in the garden. There is a bench to sit on at the end of the pool but as it has a plastic roof it was too hot to site under it when the sun is beating down. There are 4 communal loungers near to P7 but they are to be shared between the 7 P villas. Also P2 had that many creatures in it that it was like a zoo! Gecko's, spiders to name but a few. The staff were very nice and breakfast was ok. Need transport if staying here, as it is a bit out of the way. The 3 bedroomed villas are amazing but expensive.

Luxury quiet living

Beautiful Villas, gardens well kept, very clean well presented.
It's a shame there is no bar, room service, or restaurant facilities but if/when they have these it will be fantastic. Because there is nowhere to eat except the breakfast you must travel out of the hotel to get supplies or eat out which costs 300 baht each way by taxi. The staff are happy to arrange taxis or hire a bike/scooter or car as well. We had pizza delivered a couple of times.
We stayed 7 nights and the staff were very friendly and did their best to help when we needed it.
The breakfast was good, eggs cooked by staff however you like them, and then you can cook your own toast to go with them, salad, yogurt, fresh fruit, and cereal.
There is a lovely view from the gardens and it was nice to sit and listen to the ocean.
The private pool was a nice size and had a good balance of shade and sunlight.
The stairs and walkways that lead to the villas are pretty steep so wouldn't be suitable for elderly or guests who are unsteady on their feet, we didn't have any issues with it though.
The wifi was down in our room one of the days and tv had had bad reception but we just bought movies from the markets when we were staying in, and used the wifi near the office.
I would highly recommend for a romantic getaway, if you are looking to relax and unwind.

Disappointing

Very few staff around which made challenges when trying to resolve issues. Electricity to only our villa, issues daily, resolved at each time. However on last night as could not resolve moved us into tiny dirty room!! No one to communicate with to describe our disappointment, let alone the money paid to stay there.

It is a beautiful location, lovely private villas, just needs a communication liaison person. Breakfast upgrade and I'm sure could be a pleasant stay.

Very nice hotel. Sold on the fact we had a pool.
Although very friendly, the lady who was our host always messed up our orders for the contentment breakfast, daily. That included giving me chicken one day and bacon the other after I explicitly told her I was a vegetarian. Great hotel and service, but it'd be good to know Thai if you want to get what you asked for.

Great Experience - Will Be Back

We stayed as a couple at one of the 7 pool villas and loved it! Both the room and the pool attached to our villa were surprisingly large and clean. Very nice. The location was also fantastic - away from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng Beach to be peaceful and secluded, yet only a short ride away by taxi or songathew. We rented a small vehicle during our stay and the arrangements were all made by the hotel which was extremely convenient and made us feel secure. The staff at the villa were also wonderful - very friendly, polite, and helpful. We took a day trip to the Marine Park and because we were leaving before the time breakfast was served, the staff actually packed sandwiches and fruit for us to bring with us. Superb experience and we'd definitely stay here again the next time we're in Samui!

Alue on ainutlaatuinen ja viihtyisä, tosin parhaat päivänsä jo nähnyt. Oma uima-allas ansaitsee erityismaininnan. Pyyhkeet vaihdettiin joka päivä ja siivous oli hyvää. Hotellin sijainti on muuten erinomainen, mutta siitä on 1,5-2 kilometrin kävelymatka lähimpiin taajamiin, joissa on palveluja mm. kauppa ja reitti on liikenteen vuoksi vaarallinen. Huoneen ilmastointilaitteen sijainti on aivan väärä: se puhaltaa suoraan nukkujien niskaan, jolloin uni on vaikeaa. Ilmankaan ei voi helteen vuoksi olla.

Un excellent sejour dans cet hôtel. Un personnel très aimable et attentionné. Une chambre avec piscine privée où il ne manque rien, à part peut être un micro onde.
Mais franchement le restaurant de l’hôtel vaut le détour. Nous y avons mangé au moins 5 fois pour goûter un max de plats, sans compter les petits déjeuner. Aucune déception bien au contraire. Des plats gourmands , généreux et savoureux
Je pense que nous y retournerons sans réfléchir

Very pleasant and comfortable stay

My husband and I had a very pleasant stay here. We were lucky that we arrived a week before Christmas where high season begins, which is why the resort was very quiet. We appreciated it very much. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff in general were very friendly and attentive. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and we hope we get to visit Samui and Pawanthorn soon again.

P.s. the drinks at the restaurant are extremely delicious.
