There aren't many (any?) affordable options like this one left on Chaweng Beach! Really enjoyed the location and the kind, sincere service. Our room was great - clean, quiet, and comfortable with a pleasant seating area out front. Good prices at the beach-front restaurant, too. Amazing value all around.

Great Locational and affordable!

Pros:
Walking distance from beach with lots of restaurants and drink options
Right by the night market with lots of bars and shopping
Room and bathroom were clean with nice balcony area
AC worked well
Super quiet area!

Cons:
Outlets poorly placed and barely held in a plug
Standard Thai bed so pretty hard and paper thin sheets
Curtains didn’t block out any light from outside and lights left on all night. Recommend a sleep mask if you’re sensitive to that

Overall my friend and I enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if I go back to Samui

The room was clean, very basic but did the job for one night. There is a bar/restaurant on the beach but closes at 8.30 which is a shame. Its just on the edge of the busy Chewang area and was nice and quiet. Food and drinks were reasonably priced.

Great Value that won't disappoint.

O.P.Bungalow is a great place to say.
Basic room had A/C, Comfy Bed, TV, Hot strong shower and bathroom, good cupboard space, a good spacious decking to sit and dry, good wi-fi.
All within very easy access to beautiful Chaweng Beach and Main Street Entertainment.

The place is on the beach and looks nice with the gardens. It's pretty quiet except for some minor construction work. Beware, they are running a scam where they try to charge you for untouched bottled water from your room.

Lovely garden setting on the Beach.

I had seen and viewed reviews of OP Bungalows and wanted to visit. It did not disappoint. Our standard garden room was large and the garden area is very pleasant. The rooms are basic, not much decor; standard but large. There is a TV, the beds are ok. The AC worked well. The bathroom was more updated, large, and comfortable. Amenities are body wash and shampoo. It was pleasant to walk to the beach/restaurant from the rooms. The food and service in the restaurant is good. They have a nice Happy Hour selection of cocktails as well. While the resort next door has fabulous architectural elements and outdoor space, those resorts are well over $100 more a night. For a location that OP Bungalows has, the value is incredible. The Reception helped arrange tours and taxi. And Staff were very pleasant. I would stay again, and upgrade to maybe a private bungalow. But we were satisfied with the Standard room. We didn’t spend much time in the room other than shower and sleep. Because of the layout of the property, the Bungalows face into and across gardens. None of the properties along the Beach have truly “ocean front” rooms. The open air dining and beach lounge area is on the beach.

Great Room, lousy internet

The room is very nice. Big room, nice bathroom. Close to the beach, as in 40 seconds from the room. Good breakfast. Secure parking for your mopeds. Friendly staff that speak English welll.
I do have to say that the WiFi is very unpredictable and weak. Don’t expect to do much planning online unless you have a good data plan on your device.

A good place to stay away from the Hustle

I checked in late (around 9:30pm) so I had to search for someone to check me in, but it wasn't too difficult.
They showed me to my room and it was all set up well for me. As usual, they turned on the AC for me and showed me how to use it.
The Wifi was so-so.
The bed was comfy and sheets were clean.
The windows are old and don't seal properly but the AC was good.
The shower was OK - loses warmth quickly and the power fluctuates which can cause it to shoot up and soak half the bathroom.
The restaurant has decent service and decent food at decent prices. Good if you are lazy or by the beach, but far better food elsewhere.
The staff were mostly not particularly polite, but not rude either...kind of uninterested and lacked training maybe?
Overall a nice stay in a quiet area only about 10 minutes walk to all the main bars and restaurants, although there are plenty of quieter ones in that area.

Older style bungalows in a great position.

We knew OP Bungalows from previous visits to Koh Samui, but this was the first time we stayed there. The bungalows have more 'air' around them than the newer places, and the gardens give the place an essential tropical feel, which is lacking in resorts where the focus is on the number of buildings that can be crammed on a site, rather than the ambience. Go to Chewang Noi for beautiful bungalows in luscious gardens - but if you can't afford those and want to experience an island vibe then OP is a good, low budget, choice. OP is not TOO close to the flight path - over Chewang Beach - but you can still hear the planes. It's a short walk up to the street where you can catch a baht bus or taxi or walk around the shops. Despite being so close the street noise doesn't invade the bungalow area at all. We ate at the restaurant a few times and the food was good, and not overpriced. There's no swimming pool but you can swim in the sea right at the front of the resort, there's just a bit of weed you have to navigate around. The water is shallow and has no waves on this part of Chewang but the upside is the speedboats and jet-skiers keep away. Oh - and take your mosquito spray to Koh Samui.

Service in the hotel was okay, not too great though. At the beach the sunbeds included in the room rate, that was nice. But if you rent a motorbike it's 200baht/24hrs and if you want to bring it back 2 hours later it costs 100baht... Hot water runs out very quickly, and the aircon is fair, not great. One bag was left behind, and when we called back to the htoel, they said that there was nothing in the room....

Stayed for 2 weeks end of June beginning July 2016. Room was basic but clean and tidy.
No tea/coffee facilities in rooms and no microwave/oven so you had to eat out.Wifi was very very poor with web pages unable to load at all very often and this was very important to me. Wifi was described as high speed by Hotels.com which it definitely was not, there was some service in the mornings.

Beach area was nice enough and staff always polite. Weather hot most of the time.I would not go again due to the broadband issues,if you don't need that service then for the price it was decent. You get what you pay for.

Horrible room, no internet connection, had to move

Have to say this was one of the worse rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I believe it was a ‘standard’ villa. Can only describe it as an abomination, thai 1980’s style, yellow and green, Ceiling tiles painted yellow, CRT TV, windows that don’t close, can hear everything outside and from next door, disgusting looking old dirty Sanyo fridge in the corner of the room. The towels smelt mouldy as if they’d been air dried and not dried fast enough. Door lock was dodgy. Bed was fine. The location is fine, I never eat here so can’t comment on that. Looking around it appears some villas have been modernized and some haven’t, obviously I was in one of the run down tatty ones. Be warned as well, there was literally NO Internet access, none. this was my first time in samui and I told the lady and she said it was normal for Samui, this was obviously a lie as I moved hotels down the street a couple hundred yards to evergreen resort and the internet was perfect. The owner I found to be extremely grumpy, when checking out she made me hang around 10-15 minutes while the maid checked the fridge to see if I’d taken anything, then I asked if I could leave a bag and collect it in 45 minutes and she didn’t seem happy about that either. I can’t help but feel a lot of these reviews of this place are fake. It’s false representation saying there’s wifi when it doesn’t work. The 3G on my phone worked miles better than the internet in the hotel.

A little bit different!

I have stayed here several times over the past ten years. I stay in the deluxe bungalow, basic but what do you need ! bungalow is spacious, quiet, TV ,nice veranda with seating for the evening. The food served in the evening is very good indeed, but I was a little underwhelmed with the breakfast that was included in the price. There was very little choice, ie scrambled eggs or omelette ! toast or croissant ! I would have had egg fried rice ! Location perfect simple as that. Nice staff and owner. Lot of time spent on garden area around the bungalows which is really nice.

Awesome place on the beach, great food and staff!!

This place was excellent, we had a bungalow on the beach and the room was great, lots of space and very cool outdoor shower. Great location, quieter end of the beach, but a very short walk to all the action. Lots of scooter rentals in the area, one right at the entrance to the hotel. Spent Christmas Day here with my family and it was a blast!

OP bungalow is a good budget place located right on chaweng beach. But you get what you pay for. The rooms have stained walls and there were a couple of dead bugs were on the bed sheets when we arrived. We asked housekeeping, who had an entire pile of clean towels in front of them, for an extra towel for the beach and they told me my towels were in the room. I explained i wanted an extra one and she replied stating that she cleaned my room and that is where the towels are. Very frustrating. I accepted the fact that this place doesn't give out extra towels but then 15 min later they knock on my door and point to the towels in the room. Clearly an issue with language barrier, but not a good start to the trip. I ended up just walking on the beach instead of laying on an old chair without a towel underneath. They only provide one key which was very inconvenient for us. And they charge to use their safe deposit.

The beach area is very nice but the ladies giving massages on the beach yell out \"massageeee\" whenever someone passes by. This gets very annoying when you see trying to relax by the beach.

Overall - I wouldn't stay again. chaweng beach is liked with hotels in all ranges. You can %100 do better.

The restaurant has sensible prices, unlike much of Chaweng Beach.

We found the hotel to be just a little to far away from the \"city\". On the other hand it is more quiet than the most busy parts of Chaweng. The hotel is clean and in OK condition, pool was clean and well maintained. Service was good. Reception not open 24.

Good accomodation in a great location

The room was very spacious and it was cleaned daily, almost immediately from us leaving the room on a daily basis. Although the facilities were basic it had great aircon, the bed was extremely comfortable, although the TV was old and outdated.
The location was very close to all of the lively nightlife of Samui but the resort was very relaxing and peaceful so there was no disturbance at night or day.
There was no kettle/water heater in the room and I asked the reception if they could provide one but they would not do so. The room had a big safe which we could easily fit in all of our valuables and the security was good which made us feel safe.
I would definitely stay in the OP bungalow again, great value for money and the restaurant was cheap and great value for money also

Les bungalow sont très sommaires, les matelas durs, la climatisation ressemble à un moteur diesel et les cloisons sont en papier mâché du coup on entend le moindre bruit d'à côté... sans parler des avions entre 22h et 7h qui passent juste au dessus. Nette Anlage aber sehr schlechte Betten

Die Anlage ist am oberen ruhigen Teil des Chaweng Beach gelegen (anderes Ende Noi) und die kleinen einfachen Bungalows befinden sich in einer gepflegten Gartenanlage. Es gibt neben den einfachen Bungalows auch besser ausgestattete, diese sind aber etwa doppelt so teuer. Es gab für uns nur einen einzigen Kritikpunkt: Die absolut schlechten Matratzen. Man kann auf diesen Billigmatratzen nicht schlafen, da man jede einzelne Metallfeder durch die Bettauflagen spürt. Obwohl der Aufenthalt ansonsten nett war, wie auch schon im letzten Jahr, werden wir uns bei der nächsten Reise nicht für die OP Bungalows entscheiden.

海辺で安い朝食をゆったり。バンガローなので、中高級ホテル並みの部屋、設備、サービスを期待される方は違うと思う。個人的には雰囲気、価格、部屋、ロケ最高、リピート。自然なので蚊が多く身体に塗る虫除け、現地の蚊取線香購入、虫刺され薬は必須。ヤモリ居ない。セキュリティボックスはあるが、鍵なし、少し大きめの鍵持参、フロント有料貸出もあり。スリッパ、歯ブラシなし。シャンプーあり。

Seit rd. 20 Jahren sind wir Gäste in dieser sehr gepflegten und ruhigen Bungalowanlage direkt am schönsten Strandteil von Chaweng. Die Bungalows sind eingebettet in einem wunderschönen Garten... hier wird alles gepflegt und gehegt..
Die Besitzerin und ihre Familie sind sehr gastfreundlich, das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich... bis hin zum super freundlichen Nachtwächter. Wir fühlen uns hier immer sehr wohl. Im Strandrestaurant gibt es leckere Gerichte mit einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Liegen und Sonnenschirme sind für Gäste am Strand kostenfrei. Bungalows sind in unterschiedlichen Preisklassen verfügbar, alle mit Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank, Fernseher und Heißwasserdusche.

Alles in allem eine günstige Ferienanlage in der Nebensaison. Die einfachen Gartenbungalows sind kein Luxus aber in Ordnung. Die Betten sind nicht sehr bequem, da es sich um ganz einfache Matratzen handelt. Ich konnte sie Sprungfedern spüren. Ansonsten schön zentral und dennoch ruhig.

Preis Leistung Top in super Lage am Chaweng Beach

Wir waren für 3 Nächte im O.P. Bungalow und sind sehr zufrieden gewesen. Der Bungalow war klimatisiert, sauber und hat einen großen Kühlschrank gehabt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, was mittlerweile in Thailand unabhängig vom Preis leider auch kein Standart mehr ist. Für 3 Nächte haben wir 75€ bezahlt ohne Frühstück. Die Liegen am Strand kosten extra wobei wir diese kostenlos nutzen durften. Für 2-3 Nächte finde ich die Anlage empfehlenswert, wobei wir beim nächsten Mal ein paar Euros mehr ausgeben würden um zumindest einen kleinen Pool zu haben.

Schöne Anlage ohne Luxus, Preis-Leistung super!

Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Der einfache Gardenbungalow hat eigentlich alles zu bieten was man braucht, außer Luxus. Es gibt auch keinen Pool und keine Abendunterhaltung, was mir nicht wichtig ist. Die Lage am Chaweng Beach ist zentral und doch absolut ruhig. Ich wollte nur 3 Tage bleiben und dann weiterziehen. Inzwischen sind 12 Übernachtungen daraus geworden. Ich mag die Ruhe am Morgen und am späteren Abend, ich liebe Chaweng mit allem was dazugehört und ich bin sehr viel mit dem Motorroller unterwegs. Fazit: Eine super Anlage ohne Luxus aber mit sehr gutem Preisleistungsverhältnis. Persönliches Fazit: Viel zu viel Geld ausgegeben in den letzen Jahren auf Koh Samui, bis zum Vierfachen und trotzdem war oft nicht alles so super. Nächstes Jahr wieder!

먼저 차웽비치가 바로 눈앞에 보인다는게 좋네요 숙소는 좀 낡았지만 접근성은 가격대비 최고 인 듯 하네요! 수영 하실분은 비치로 나가셔서 수영 하면 될 듯요 ㅎㅎ

価格が安いバンガロー。スタッフは親切。部屋やアメニティは、ホテルと同じは期待しない方が良い。ビーチ内。レストランは安くて美味い、ビーチで食事やビール、雰囲気最高、気軽。セキュリティボックスは、ボックスのみなので鍵持参必須。歯ブラシ、スリッパ、髭剃り、石鹸持参。徒歩２分で、メインストリート。部屋外で喫煙可。蚊多い。

Bra Bungalows vid den bästa strandremsan i Chaweng för den priskategorin. Gratis solstolar för dom som bor på O.P Byter ofta sängkläder och rena handdukar varje dag. Bra mat på restaurangen.

Best with OP Bungalows is the actual location at the beach.
Stayed in a bungalow ”de luxe”. Not as comfartable as excpected. Strange smell, bed was uncomfortable, lot of mosqitos.
Staff ok but could be a bit more friendly.
Time has in some perspectice passed for OP. Feels tired.

מלון בסביבה חיצונית יפה מאוד. גינון טרופי מדהים .חדרי המלון אנים מתוחזקים כראוי וחבל .מקלחת אינה נעימה ומלאה אבנית , החדר מריח מתחב , מזגן מרעיש מאוד, מלא יתושים !!! קצת תחזוקה והמקום מדהים. הצוות נהדר ומשתדל מאוד .

O. P. Bungalow was a very good and peacefull place, right in the middle of the sometime noicy Chaweng part of Samui. Very beuatifull surroundings and gardens and very friendly and polite staff working here. I can only recommend this place, and will be back the next time i visit Ko Samui. Do bring mosquito repellent, there's a lot of mosquito's at this part of Samui.

Ein schöner und gut gepflegter Bungalow mit einer einfachen aber trotzdem sehr sauberen und intakten Einrichtung.

Das Restaurant des Hotels ist super. Günstige Preise und gutes Essen mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf den Golf von Thailnand!

petit hotel. les chambres très basic et contiennent le minimum tel qu'annoncé, sans plus. Par contre la place est très joli et très bien situé. Si vous avez les moyen, il y ont aussi des petits bungalow très jolie. Bonne nourriture abordable

Good stay for the price.

Good place for the price. The second time we lived here and that was good.
It's not a luxury resort, but the location right on the beach is amazing.
A little upgrade would help, but again for the price it's ok.
Staff are sweet and helpful.
The little minuses:
The shower heads could really use a descaling, and the safe could also use an update. Long since I've used a padlock and key that you have to drag around ;-)
But we will be back next time at Samui

hotel mit garten in strandnähe

das hotel an sich ist ok die bungalows auch aber
-die liegen am strandbereich der zum hotel gehört
werden fremdvermietet sodass es dort sehr voll ist
aber nicht mit hotelgästen
-der schöne tropische garten wird oft gespritzt
(kann mir nicht vorstellen dass es sich hier um biologische mittel handelt)
und das schlimmste aber ist dass der gesamte garten min. 1x die woche eingeraucht /
eingenebelt wird diese massnahme soll moskitos vertreiben und töten
es sieht nicht nur furchtbar aus sondern das zeug riecht auch giftig
die massnahe wird ohne vorherige ankündigung durchgeführt sodass es durchaus sein kann
dass man wenn man aus dem bungalow kommt und in diesem ´´giftigen´´ rauch und nebel steht
-auch ist es unangenehm und ich sehe es als eine bevormundung wenn einer der strandhunde mal ein paar meter mit mir kommen wollte wurde er sofort rigoros vom grundstück verjagt diese entscheidung hätte ich schon gerne selber getroffen

Perfekt placering og god strand

Hotellet lever fuldt op til vores forventninger og ligger rigtig godt placeret, så selv om der er højvande er der stadig strand hvor man kan ligge og tage sol. De burde dog samle skrald op fra stranden, da der ligger plastik og andet affald på stranden, som ikke er så lækkert - det er et generelt problem og mange hoteller gør deres strand ren, hver morgen. Vores Bungalow var ren og pæn - husk at købe myggespray og myggelys, hvis du vil sidde og nyde udsigten fra bungalowen, hvilket er rigtig hyggelig. Vi vil helt sikker vælge dette hotel igen

Ruhig gelegenes Hotel in strand nähe

Sehr nettes personal für einen entspannungs urlaub am strand sehr geeignet. Auch für junge menschen . Da am tag viel ruhe ist und abends die partymeile nicht weit weg ist. Hat einen gemütlichen heimelichen flair. Ich würde immer wieder dort buchen. Personal sehr freundlich .
