The Staff was awesome until the checkin. After that some of them were just o.k. there are lot of mosquitoes in the room as the shower have opening to the back.
Breakfast was very low level, and breakfast staff are the worse. Not helpful not polite at all, feels unwelcome. Food was not fresh and not much options. Food at the pool was good, and pools and beach access are great! Don't spend on breakfast and bring two mosquitoes repellers. Also we had a giant spiderin the room that was a scary situation. Beside that it's beautiful

Room was in an excellent location, close to pool, breakfast and beach. Clean, well appointed and comfortable; a speacial shout out to Meow, our housekeeper. She was amazing, very polite and always made sure our room was spotless! We stayed in a spa villa verses the Deluxe Pool Room we normally choose; we like this room better. We love the Chaweng Regency location as it makes getting around easy. We like the gated parking and either rent a car or scooter and allowing us get to anywhere on the island while staying centrally in a resort that we love. The staff are always wonderful. The beach is our favorite and thw views are always great.

The one thing that stands outs more than anything is the amazing customer service. The resort was great and in the perfect location for nearby restaurants, bars and shopping centres and markets.

Nice resort with private beach. The location is just nice, close to almost everything but a little bit away from the crowded bars and restaurants to enjoy the quietness. Just 30s walk to those if you need to. Highly recommended

Fantastic one week stay in Regent beach hotel! Was initially a bit sceptic about the conditions of the rooms as its not the 5 star hotel I am used to as the rooms are a bit outdated. However, absolutely loved the stay and could not have been bothered the least about the rooms being a bit outdated as everything else was spectacular! The pools are wonderful, the beach is very nice and well maintained, the breakfast is delicious and above everything else- the staff is beyond wonderful, sweet and helpful! The front desk staff are amazing, housekeeping ladies very sweet and meticulous and the poolbar/ restaurant staff amazing! Lee, tek, may,wee, tango,palin joy, guy and could go on! We spent most of the days around the pool and restaurant are hence these guys really made such an impact!
Without any doubt would chose this hotel again and recommend to anyone going to Koh Samui!! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The check in process was weird, maybe because it was busy. A fellow just asked us for our passports without identifying himself as an employee. They did give us tea and ice cream while we waited which was a nice touch. They could have explained more things to us like how to use the wi fi for example.

The room was large and clean, but the toilet had a sign to not flush toilet paper down and to put used toilet paper in a receptacle by the toilet - gross! We flushed it down anyways! The bed was comfortable.

The property is built right up to the ocean so there is no sandy beach area.The surrounding properties are similar so it is difficult/impossible to walk along the beach, at least at high tide.
Pool side drinks were very expensive outside of happy hour.
The hotel is on a busy, somewhat dirty street with lots of cannabis shops, massage studios, small stores selling trinkets and small restaurants. We tried quite a few restaurants and most food was mediocre. The sidewalk disappears in places and you are forced onto the road.

Overall it is a decent place to stay room wise but the location isn't the greatest,and the beach non-existant.

Great hotel, short walk to beachy paradise

Great staff and facilities. Two great pools to lounge around. And very convenient to shopping, eateries & entertainment. One caveat - beach frontage is a little disappointing. But walk 250 metres and it’s terrific (with massages & lounges for hire). No other resort in the area can match its facilities & cleanliness.

This was our 9th stay at Chaweng Regent and it will definately not be our last! Location is great. Central to the area making most locations walkable. The beach and pools are lovely. Staff are extremely friendly. We really enjoyed our yime at the pool bar...Jay was a great bartender! Breakfast has a large variety to choose from and rhe coffee bar was a great add aince the last time we were there. The grounds are continually being manicured and while the gym is on the small side it is more than adequate. We were very happy we received the room we requested and were extremely happy when we were granted a late check out due to out late flight. We had an amazing trip and cannot wait to return .

Lovely Hotel in a great location right on the edge of the action. Easy to walk to the resaurants, closest about 1 minute walk away and many more as you go down the road. 2 great pools that get sun all day. Good spread at breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Only 2 slighty negative points. The hotel is situated at the end of the runway so planes flying over all day. It didnt bother us but it might some. First plane is 0645hrs. The other point is an environmental one . There was no plug for the sink which seems a waste of water. Staff were helpful and friendly.

An amazing stay here, situated on Chaweng beach front and close to the activity on the main road, a very convenient location. Rooms were of a great standard and very clean and quiet. Breakfast by the beach every morning was fantastic. 2 pool areas to chill in meant people were spaced out. Definitely recommend!

What is special about this hotel is the location, pool areas, large space and gardens.

This hotel is on a very busy, noisy and smelly street. The main street of Chaweng where everything happens. You could not be central. But once you enter the hotel area you are embraced by nature and plants. It is very quiet. The hotel has two big pools and beach access. I cannot think of a better location and arrangement of greenery. You can take drinks, eat food or breakfast by the sea.

Everything is almost perfect but there are two downsides with this hotel. Both should be relatively easy to fix by the hotel.

1. Breakfast. While the breakfast selection is pretty good there has been money saved here. And it is in the details and I will give some examples:
- jam. These are the cheapest jam that just taste sugar
- pancakes and other things are not fresh. We can see that the brought in cold pancakes and other bakery covered in plastic in the morning and then warmed them up in an oven which you can open. This made the pancakes hard and not fresh. It is similar with all other bakery products they offer.
- if you plan to go to the breakfast when it opens (06:30) everything is simply not ready. I think all food was ready around 07:00 so I think there are things to improve here
- 50% of the times they asked you, when seated, if you wanted coffee. The rest of the times you had to go yourself. I think it is good to have some sort of plan here.

2. the gym. It is really really small. Rec moving it

Mostly a good resort. The rooms need better insulation from the humidity as everything in the room gets wet if you open the door. Additionally, there is almost no power outlets and none of them are by the bed. Had to plug in phone across from the room. This resorts needs some major modernizing. Breakfast was okay, not fantastic but sufficed.

Good point for the charming reception: a local drink & sweet cake were very welcomed.
The hotel was good but the room was very humid though. Not nice to get disturbed by the smokers around the pools, I think they should prevent people from smoking around or in the pool (authorized in the pool bar). Breakfast was just ok. Too bad that the front beach has no beach but you can always swim there when there’s no rough sea.

Very noisy and low value for money

The hotel is located right near the airport and the plains are flying right above the hotel. The departing plains woke us every morning. It is not highly maintained. the deck is not in a good shape. We also had multiple power outages during the nights, so the lights and the air condition stopped working and when the electricity turned on, it created noice that woke us uo (not to mention the heat without aire condition). Find a hotel that is not right under the plain route - 300m will be ok. This hotel is low value for the money

Very disappointed with the stay. Booked based on the pictures which don’t reflect the reality.

Hotel is in a very busy area.

We paid a premium price so expected the price to match what we paid for. We paid £1200 for 9 nights from 24th June to 3rd July. We checked out some of the hotels nearby to compare. We could have stayed at Elephant Beach Club & Resort or Ark Beach Club & resort for only £500 for 9 nights. Those also looked more modern. So definitely Chaweng Regent is over charging.

As another comparison we went and checked out the Hyatt Regency as well which is a 5 star hotel. That hotel is in a more quieter place and the 9 night stay would have cost only £1700 which is more worth it.

I’m very disappointed about the price paid vs quality of the hotel. This hotel should be in the same price range as Elephant Beach Club & Resort or Ark Beach Club & resort which are only 3 star hotels.

Excellent location on the beach, quiet but central with loads to walk to. It’s an older hotel but well maintained.

Staff weren’t amazing. My room was only cleaned every couple of days. Reception take a deposit to cover extras but say this will take 2-3 weeks to be refunded after check out - why every other hotel in the world does this within a couple of days.

On check out I was told to wait 10 minutes whilst they send someone to check the room! I walked off at this.

The Chaweng Regent Beach Resort is an excellent choice for accommodation in Samui. Close to all activities in Chaweng Beach and plenty of dining and bar choices. The property itself is very neat and well maintained. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. Unfortunately the main pool was under renovation during our stay but was close to being completed. Breakfast had a great choice of different foods. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel and we will stay again when we return to Samui.

Directly on the beach in downtown Cheweng. Staff were amazing and so accomodating. Room was sizeable and super clean. Air Con was fabulous. Bed was very comfortable. One pool was out due to storm repairs but the other pool was available as well as the beach. In return they provided a buffet lunch for the inconvenience. Would I stay again? At check-in, our room didn’t match the photos that we had booked, which was frustrating and not a great start to the trip.
The manager, May, did an excellent job of finding a solution for us, which we highly appreciated. She was definitely the saving grace.

But I wouldn’t come back or recommend the hotel. For the money we paid VS what we actually got, it was a let down compared to the rest of our trip/ hotels that we stayed at.

Front desk staff were “hot and cold”. Some were helpful, others looked miserable.
The property itself is quite big, which is nice, but the pool areas always felt a bit over-crowded.
Breakfast was average at best, and at 750 THB p/person, not worth it.
The beach access was nice, it’s great if you have kids as the property backs into a lagoon.

Overall, I feel the hotel is overpriced for what you get and I’d strongly encourage others to shop around

The property has wonderful walking paths through lush vegetation and the koi ponds are terrific water features. There is a small but very functional gym and many relaxing settings to kick back and relax. This hotel exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be booking again for our next Koh Samui trip.

We had a deluxe beach view room and it was lovely waking up to the sound of the ocean. Staff are brilliant and property itself is lovely. The only (minor) negatives are that the bars close at 2300 - even an extension to 0000 would have been nice. Also, the last shuttle into Chaweng beach is at 1900. Again, if that ran a little later, that would be great. You can walk into Chaweng in about 15-20mins though. Food was very good and beds very comfortable.

I booked the Premier Room, it is huge but they did not good use of the space, so the whole room feels big and empty (didnt sleep well for the first 2 nights because of mosquitos). suggest to book the normal room instead. did not receive discount on F&B too. overall still recommend this hotel because of location and efficient staffs

Had a great 8 night stay at the Chaweng Regent. Area is great, probably best area of Samui to stay IMO, lots to do as well as lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Staff where excellent. Breakfast buffet was great and they make a good coffee. Pools are excellent, property is also right on the beach. Rooms where very clean and property well maintained. I was lucky enough to get an upgrade to the Royal Suite which is spectacular. Highly recommend this property. Enjoyed every minute there.

I enjoyed my stay with this hotel.

It’s definitely not a 5 star. I would say 3.5 stars.

It’s really dated and desperate need of renovations.

There are a lot of mosquitoes around, I was bite around 16 times in 2 days….

Positives is that it is so close to everything party.

I ate it the resort restaurant a couple of times and really enjoyed the food.

I wouldn’t return mainly because too many mosquitos.

the resort itself is very nice. and the service is good as well.
but:
1. the room is not fully clean especially when you found mold in the shower.
2. the hotel decided to charge the full amount 2 weeks before our arrival. despite our agreement with hotel.com that the charge will be at the hotel.
3. at the check out the hotel try to charge us for ticket from different room with forge our signature. (we have picture of the receipt).
4. the hotel take 4000 baht deposit at check in which is way over other hotels charge.
5. the hotel don't have business center.

Good location on the main, commercial Chaweng drag with many dining and shopping options. Hotel is composed of villas and small buildings within a green tropical garden. Wear and tear caused by COVID inactivity is visible but not significant and easy to ignore.Hotel has an appealing low key, casual vibe. One thing to be aware of is that the beach in front of hotel is practically non-existent for most of the day due to erosion and high tide. In late afternoon when sea level recedes it starts connecting to adjacent, walkable stretch of Chaweng beach.

This is a nice property. There is a lot of action nearby. That’s why I choose this place. Plus it’s a nice quiet sleep. Breakfast is great too. Coffee well it’s Thai coffee and it’s good. Food is really good too as I had dinner 4 times, but expensive. It’s good to eat out too. Don’t buy the hotel discount prepay deal. You’ll find you stay in the hotel eating their food. Would I go back? Yes. Oh I received an ear infection because I was swimming a lot. At the Bangkok airport I dropped by boots and was given antibiotics. Was better the next morning. Was shocked I healed so quickly.

Excellent position. Restaurants, bars and markets right outside resort. A good selection for breakfast. The two pool areas have plenty of lounges. Plus there are lounges on the beach where the water is very calm. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful experience

I enjoyed the stay overall. The location is perfect in the middle of everything, the food was great, and although the property is dated, it is well maintained with a feel of being in nature. Staff response was inconsistent, as some were wonderful and attentive while others were lacking and not as friendly, maybe refresher training is needed.

As I said, overall it was a lovely stay, and I will go again with my partner for vacation.

The property is lovely and close to lots of restaurants. It’s a bit of an oasis in an otherwise bustling area of Koh Samui. Our room was quiet and peaceful. The breakfasts were great. Highly recommend.
