The entrance has a lot of mud sometimes. The room is ok, you get what you paid for.

They have dogs, and these bark at people and sometimes even try to bite. Nothing against dogs, I love dogs but they should try to control them a bit. I'd nobody of them is around and you cross that area they start barking and try to bite, that is no good .

Another thing I did not like is, they have some rules where it says they don't get responsible if something valuable gets lost from your room. I mean, that doesn't make you feel safe, or your stuff, in your own room.

I think other low reviews may be due to no air con in room which made it smell stuffy.
For me I would recommend for a short stay as the location was perfect ! Walk to anywhere you need. Friendly staff . Private room.

Great area. The shower wasn't designed right so it wouldn't drain. Filled the entire bathroom floor with standing water. Other than that and some check in issues (no one the office for a while) it was good.

Great stay for budget price near the beach

This little gem of a resort is well located in the center of Chaweng. The room was clean and had an outdoor area to smoke or have a drink. The best part was direct access (and view) to the beach. Another cool feature was free to use table and chairs right by the beach. It may sometimes be noisy from the bars next door.
Overal a great small resort for the rates!
Will return when I go back to Samui

It would be impossible to find better value than Lucky Mother in Chaweng. The location is perfect, the rooms are simple but nice and clean, the staff are amazing. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Samui. If I could review it more than 5/5, I would :)

Average but heavily Covid affected

Very basic rooms, nothing by the way of furniture except the bed. In addition there was a wall mounted fan and thats the contents of the room. It was clean though. Chaweng was completely dead, everything bar a couple of hotels was closed, this obviously has had an effect on service, the restaurant, reception etc was all closed.

Get what you pay

My partner and I stayed here for two nights. We were able to check in early after arriving from a different part of the island. The accommodation is all set up down a walk way to the beach, so there is no cars or people walking by which is great for noise (and lack of). We had the fan room, and whilst it got a little toasty it wasn’t too bad. Our hot water stopped working and when we reported it, we were moved rooms within 10 minutes and they were really apologetic. Downside was that we got a lot of bites from being here. Pretty sure it wasn’t bed bugs, we didn’t see any, but compared to everywhere else we have been in Asia, it was really bad. We were itching loads and it made our stay really uncomfortable. Location however is great and the staff are nice too.

What u pay is what u get

I had a room with fan for 1 night. Never again will take fan’s room!!!
Also the power went out for a few hours in it was super hot. Service is ok. 2000(!!!!!) bat for keeping.... way too much.

Chill place on the beach.

Really enjoyed my stay at Lucky Mother. It's right on the beach and close to all the restaurants and bars in Chaweng. I don't know about other rooms but my room at least was sheltered from any noise from the beach bars known for their parties, so noise at night was not an issue for me. My room was very clean and nice, although there were some ants that enjoyed crawling around my room but it wasn't that big of a deal. You're in the tropics so bugs are to be expected. I would definitely stay there again.

Pleasant place close to the beach and clubs. First night in room with fan was horrible but second we changed for a room with AC which was good. Both rooms were clean and well equipped. receptionist is very nice and speaks a little French! Good deal

Bad services but good location

Dont trust the pics. I booked a room for 20$ and when I got there they gave me a room without a/c. Just a fan!!! I payed another 10$ pernight for the room with a/c. Then I noticed the room doesn’t have any safe box!!! I called the reception and they tol me I should pay more for the room with safe box! After all of the room changings my room didn’t have a refrigrator. The sheets had stains on it and the towels were so old.

Perfect location on Chaweng beach

Perfect location on Chaweng beach and for the main street. This hotel feels spartan and low key, compared to many of the big resorts in the area such as Combo and Ark, which are newer and fancier -- and both very close so I visited them often. Bring mosquito netting. Very friendly staff. At night there's reggae music at the oceanside. I liked the place so much I extended my stay twice.

Budget, quiet hotel next to the beach

Decent budget hotel next to the beach.
Rooms are big and generally clean. Fairly silent a part from some music I could hear from a club nearby... But that's inevitable in this area.
Stuff really cool and friendly ... They really go the extra mile.
Now on the negative side the complex is quite simple and a bit aged.
Got Ants on my bed and one my body while sleeping.. Again..That's not very unusual in cheap hotels on the ground floor in Thailand.
Shower and toilet were working very poorly.
Overrall I would stay if I was in a very low budget.. But I wasn't so I moved into an upper class hotel.

The room had a slight mildewy smell (which unfortunately is one of my pet peeves). They also have quite a number of cats and some of the ally between the rooms and the counter smells of cat urine (another big dislike for me). The service was pretty decent. They helped us to get an early morning taxi and also had someone available to check us out and return our deposit early in the morning

definitely will come back again!

overall is good. only a bit problem when there is no hot shower in my room, no fridge, and wifi problem on my second day. but everything is good when you travel with your friends. got many cats and dogs. all of them are cute. oh yeah. one more thing, you need to inform receptionist everyday to clean up your room. if not, they will leave your room like that. good location and great experience. will come back here :)

Great location, although far enough away to be quiet.
Beach was nice although the sea wasn't very clean, nicer beaches a little walk away.
The women giving massages from the bungalows shout \"massage, massage\" constantly throughout the day, quite off putting when trying to relax on the beach.
No A/C only a fan so room got very warm and stuffy. Also no warm water though a cold shower was nice given the temperature of the room.
Didn't get your passport back until the to had been checked, felt like it was being held hostage.
Chaweng itself is overly touristy, not my favourite place I've been in Thailand

lovely hotel on the beachfront

First time in Koh Samui and found the accommodation in Lonely Planet. Very pleased with location at all as it was right on the beach and close to many restaurants and bars. I scored the room comfort a bit low as I didn't have air conditioning in my room only a fan so if you have the choice pick a room with an air con unit.

Fine for a budget hotel

Stayed here for 1 night in a fan room.
Theyre actually individual bungalows The room was small but fine for 1 night. We were worried about just having a fan but it was perfect for the small room.
We had to leave a 2000bhat deposit or a passport. The hotel leads directly onto the beach and has massage available while you look onto the beach.
There are a LOT of cats wandering around and they have some dogs in kennels too which creates a bit of a smell in reception area, but its bareable.
The hotel bar is on the beach with lovely cocktails and there was a fire show.
The staff were helpful, they helped us arrange a taxi when we were leaving.

Wifi is only avaiable in reception, but if you have a toom near recoeption it might reach!

On the beach this hotel is a few doors down from the infamous Ark Bar which is much more lively at night, however it doesnt disrupt this hotel

3 nights in B1 bungalow

We stayed in the closest to the sea bungalow. However there was no beach and we had to walk to others. Its neighbor is Cha Cha Moon beach club - one of the most popular - fun all night long... In short it is nice place for youth. We enjoyed staying there just for 3 nights. The only thing i didn't like was the towels. They seemed to be clean but smelled badly like they were washed but not dried - really distrusting...

Good place to stay in Chaweng - Koh Samui

Ideal location if you want to be by all the action. It's located on a side street off the main road exactly where the busiest bars are, so 2 mins walk and your in the middle of the action. However, because it's on the side road you don't get all the noise or disruptions. So at one end is the main road and at the other is the beach.

I stayed in a bungalow which was basic, but has everything you need for a short stay. Bed and bathroom basically! The main thing for me was that it was clean, so I was happy. Also, the walkway down to the bungalows is quite pretty.

It's the sort of place you book if all you need is a room, because there isn't a restaurant or many staff around. There is however a great beach bar.

I like Lacky Mother Bungalow

I stayed with 1 female friend for 1 week at Lacky Mother Bungalow, we stayed on the 2nd floor, air conditioned room, big and long room with 2 beds for 2 people, good cool air conditioner, cleaned every day, provided 2 bottles of water every day and changed towels. Give every day. Located near the beach, traveling to swim at the beach is very convenient. What I don't like about this bungalow is The dream didn't fall, but there was water in front of the bungalow. It was not very comfortable to walk because of the water. Hopefully the bungalow owner will improve it. And the dogs barked very loudly very early in the morning. The owner of the bungalow said it was cute.If returning to Koh Samui, definitely stay here again.

Neu renoviertes Zimmer mit gutem Bett & Bad - so soll es für ein paar Tage gerne sein.
Zimmerservice allerdings regulär nur alle 2 Tage - einfach nachfragen, dann wird jeden tag auch gewechselt.
Negativ war Kaution - THB 2.000 (!) in bar bzw. Reisepass -am Ende jedoch ohne Diskussion/ Beanstandung zurück erhalten!

Jai réservé 10 jours dans cet hôtel avec petites chambres dans une allée donnant sur la plage. Petit bar de plage dans l'après midi et le soir. Musique. Location paddle canoë disponible. Ménage bien fait sur demande. Chambre très correct lit confortable salle de bain basique mais opérationnelle. Prenez le temps de discuter avec les propriétaires quand on s'intéresse à eux on est agréablement surpris par leur gentillesse et leur ouverture d'esprit. On est en centre ville mais ce n est pas trop bruyant mais j'ai quand même mis des boules Quies. 1 min à pied de ark bar avec soirées festives mercredi et vendredi soir. Pool party tous les après midi. Et d'autre établissements d'ambiance a proximité. Il faut avoir un scooter quand même car à samui chaweng c'est bien pour sortir un peu le soir mais ce n est pas la meilleure partie de l'île. Je crois que la prochaine fois j'irai à lamai avec ses resto vegan.

Ce fut notre deuxième séjour à Lucky Mother , nous y sommes allés il y’a 3 ans ce fut un séjour agréable ... c est d’ailleurs pour ça que nous y sommes retournées .

Une déscente aux enfer . Une chambre rudimentaire pour une prix trop élevé.

Un personnel absent , aucunes propreté des chambres. Nous sommes arrivée le premier jour , pas de papier toilettes dans la chambre , serviette déchirée une calamité !

Durant nos 9 jours de séjours personnne n’est venu faire le ménage !

On avait même l’impression d’etre hébergées
gratuitement !

Laut, heiß und jede Menge Insekten im Zimmer

Die Unterkunft liegt zentral und ist in einem guten Zustand. Allerdings ist die Lärmbelästigung enorm. Flugzeuge, Musik, Personal kehrt um 6 Uhr morgens die Anlage plus penetrantes Katzengejammer in der Nacht und Geruch nach Katzenurin. Der Ort hat chaweng ist hässlich und laut. Die Strände sind überfüllt und schmutzig. Die Restaurants sind schlecht und teuer! Nervige und sehr aufdringliche strandverkäufer. Das einzig schöne an diesem grässlichen Ort ist der nachtmarkt.

An OK hotel in the middle of Chaweng

This hotel is great situated in the heart of chaweng, as well as right on the beach.
They have no area for sunbeds or swimming pool, but u can find places nearby which offers sunbeds.
There's no food serving either, but they have a cool little bar (only drinks) on the beach.
My room was quite small, with no mini bar. There was no cleaning neither the 2 nights i stayed there. Overall it's an ok hotel for the price, but if you want more luxury, amenities and a cozy atmosphere, I would book elsewhere. (Like the Blue Lagoon)

Budget accomodation on the beach (although Lucky Mother's part of the Chaweng beach was the worse part).

+ They have 20 adorable cats, but the cats just lay here and there to chill :)
- Mosquitoes!!! Door not completely sealed so we had to seal with socks

bokade för 4 nätter innan vi reste vidare till Koh Pha-Nga. Hotellet är mysigt och värt pengarna, rummen är sjyssta, nära till bar/restuarang-gata och ännu närmare till stranden. Sett folk som klagat om flygplan som låter, men det är något man får ta när man bor så nära centrum.
De har även en bar på stranden med billig öl och riktigt vacker utsikt över havet. Det enda jag kan tänka mig att folk kan tycka är jobbigt är att ägaren har säkert 6-9 katter vid receptionen. Om man tycker djur är jobbigt rekommenderar jag något annat.
Men allt som allt ett sjysst hotell till ett billigt pris och trevlig personal! :)

Für den Backpacker reicht es...

Coole Strandlage aber leider komplett heruntergekommene Liegen, keine Schirme, schlampiges Personal. Kein preiswertes Frühstück in der näheren Umgebung nur eins für 300 Baht p.p. Wer wirklich nur eine Unterkunft direkt am Strand sucht für den sollte es jedoch passen.

Bien situé et propre, seul bémol un peu bruyant le soir on entend la musique des bars de la plage. Sinon j'avais choisi une chambre sans clim juste avec un ventilateur, c'était une erreur de ma part mais ça on ne peut pas en vouloir à l'hotel...(A vous de voir...) Très bon wifi. A mon passage aout 2015, l'eau de la plage devant l'hotel n'est pas la plus belle, il faut aller un peu plus bas 100/150m pour trouver une belle eau claire et turquoise :)
