Good size clean rooms (booked 2 plunge pool rooms). Good location just north of the main town, so quiet at night, but close enough. Resort is on a slope, so pathways are quite steep, but a buggy is available on call if required. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was well cooked. Beach bar food was also good and sensibly priced. The best part of the Briza, by a mile was the staff. They are all so friendly, fun and helpful, with nothing too much of a problem. Would definately recommend, and return.

The staff were very kind and helpful. We got a private pool room right on the beach (room 803) and was absolutely gorgeous. The room is huge and very spacious. Highly recommend. Breakfast was nothing special, but the fresh eggs and pancakes were lovely!

The whole resort feels tired, would be nice to have some seats by the pool. If you weren’t actually in the pool there was literally nowhere to sit and relax.
The breakfast was very unappealing. I have stayed in any hotels and the buffet breakfast was very unappealing.
Bedroom was ok, comfortable bed.
The location was excellent but wasted. Overall disappointing as a resort though.

Accès à la mer par une échelle en métal rouillé, pas facile. Un autre accès par des marches en béton, à marée basse mais glissant en bas.

No airport shuttle available when we asked. Need to walk to a beach for actual beach access. Staff were nice but had to request towels and other items that should have been in room already. A good budget friendly option, maybe not the most ideal when travelling with kids.

We stayed at Briza villa 801 with swimming pool from 28 February to 5 March. The same villa we had last time we were here on Koh Samui. Nice location with its own pool and sea view. But unfortunately we note that the place is falling apart with poor maintenance, missing tiles and missing grout in the pool. So the entire hotel should be renovated to get the standard that the place deserves. The breakfast is unfortunately at the same poor level as last time when it comes to the selection of spreads and the lack of refrigeration of all the dishes with different products that were on display.

Air con broke 1st night water flooded everywhere. took 2 hours to fix. No welcome drink as stated at booking. Was questioned about taking a umbrella upon checking out felt very embarrassed. Floor never moped once. In 6 days same bedding.

This property is an older property. The rooms are clean and quiet and the grounds are kept. There is no sandy beach front, instead there is an ocean wall where one can relax in a lounger. The WiFi is weak and our cable tv did not work. We asked twice to get it fixed, it was never fixed. Buffet breakfast is average with Thai and North American choices. The public pool area is located near the front entrance, cars can be heard speeding by. The rooms are located down steps and downhill paths. Guests with knee or hip issues might find this difficult to manage. The best part of this hotel were the great staff. All were friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating. Sumchai was always available to help.

After reading some reviews I was a bit worried about staying here, but honestly we we had a fabulous stay here. A large group of us stayed for 11 nights and were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We were given connecting rooms with direct access to the lower pool. The rooms were very large, the air con great and the staff couldn’t do enough for us.
The room service was quick and easy, the food was tasty and the pool bar was lovely.
They are doing the hotel up in stages, but we couldn’t fault it. All the staff were amazing, really friendly and very helpful. We had a small issue with a leak in one of the bathrooms and called reception and people turned up within in minutes to fix it - this is just one example of how great the staff were.
Yes, as some reviews have said it’s on the older side, but we loved our time here. It’s away from the main hustle of the centre which was perfect for us as we could walk down the beach if we wanted to.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We recently stayed at The Briza Resort and Spa in Koh Samui and had such a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the service provided by Ken and his team was nothing short of fabulous. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, and their warm, friendly approach made us feel so welcome. Everyone at the resort was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, always ready with great recommendations on where to eat and what to see around Koh Samui.

We booked a two-bedroom villa, which was extremely spacious and well equipped — perfect for a family stay. The comfort and practicality of the villa made it easy to relax and enjoy our holiday.

If we had to mention any downsides, it would be that the beds were a little on the hard side and you couldn't walk straight out to a beach. That said, these were very minor points compared to the overall experience. The affordability of the resort, combined with the excellent service and lovely atmosphere, made it an outstanding choice for our family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Briza Resort and Spa and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Koh Samui.

The staff here are amazing. All of them are lovely. They need a greater food and drink selection. Also they really need to knock down the unused huts near the beach area and build an infinity pool with a proper bar area there for bar snacks/dinks. This would pull in a lot of business from the beach. Need to resolve the entry exist points to the beach. The rusty ladder has to be replaced with a better permanent solution!

A very nice hotel right on the beach. About 15mins walk to the larger shopping area around Chaweng but nice and quiet here. There are still a few nice restaurants close by, Blue Turtle at the beach is good and there is a fire show every night. Avoid Your Place, food is horrible and service worse!
The actual hotel is good, not luxurious but very comfortable and the staff are all very welcoming.
One disappointing thing was with one of our rooms. We had a 2 bed villa but the second bedroom was not nearly as good as the primary one, I had expected them to be the same.

Everybody was so friendly and professional Ken the manager was amazing very great guy Ammy was very friendly and a very hard worker Pat or Patricia cooked the most wonderful eggs I’ve ever had in any restaurant anywhere in the world. I recommend any Aussie family or couples or friends staying together. You have to get down to the Briza great rooms delicious buffet breakfast very good price and wonderfully helpful and friendly staff. An average stay

After staying in the Prana resort for the first week which was lovely, we arrived here for our second week. The duplex was by a pool and was big and spacious but very old and tired as was the whole resort. The staff as with most thai people were warm and welcoming. The place just needs modernising and the two pool areas have very limited sunbathing areas so we ended up sitting on chairs on our patio which wasnt great. The pool had sand in for a week and cleaning was fishing leaves out and chucking chlorine in. The pools need to be near the beach to enjoy the views as at present there is an untidy sunbathing area which is not appealing. Overall ok but would not return.

On a pris un duplex donnant sur la piscine, logement très confortable , spacieux tout confort, récemment rénové . On a eu quelques petits soucis mais le service technique était très efficace.
Le petit déjeuner était correcte, les personnels sont accueillants. Le seul point négatif c’est la plage ( petite et il y a beaucoup de rochers. )

Had stayed here in 2018. Gardens and buildings well kept. Some rooms fabulous sea view. Lots of options along beach for eating.Not far from central Chaweng. Just small niggles, alot of steep steps. Pool small and enclosed. No guests at sunbeds, yet ran out of towels. Ant problem in room, safe not secured in wardrobe, room service food carried uncovered. All fixable...except the stoney entry into sea. Long hike in shallow water for a swim..but it looks beautiful.

We had a room with a pool balcony. The pool needed cleaning when we arrived and outside areas need refreshing and new paint.
The staff were extremely helpful, pool was lovely and food was nice.

However, the hotel is advertised as being on thr beach, but, the building is so far back that the tide is only out for 1 hour a day giving a tiny beach area, the rest of the time you have to access a dirty ladder that leads to the beach and use other properties facilities such as sunbeds if you want to spend any time on the beach

Amazing Resort!

The Briza Resort was amazing. From the location (quiet but only a short walk to some great restaurants) and a mere 10 minute walk to the centre of Chaweng - so suitably away from the crowds but on the doorstep if you the night life.
Booked a deluxe private plunge pool - made our holiday. It was fantastic and much larger than what I thought it was going to be. Also a great open space to catch the rays - a private little oasis! Breakfast was ok - standard I would say. Would absolutely recommend The Briza Resort, and thank you again! Great staff

The property was beautiful but outdated. My bed was falling apart. It still functioned though. Maybe upgrade to smart tv so foreigners can watch tv that relates to them. Power went out for an entire night from 6 pm to 12 am - resulted in some cockroaches entering the bathroom which I had to kill.

Property is nice and good price but no way is it a 5 star - more like a 3 star hotel.

The showers were also not powerful and my toilet did not flush.

3rd stay at the Briza

Have stayed at this hotel before and the experience previously was so much better. The room was tired, the air conditioning leaked and had to be repaired twice during our stay.
Breakfast was poor at best, food generally cold no matter what time you went for breakfast and limited choices
Stairs leading to beach were dangerous and although when mentioned to Ken they were repaired that morning, they should not have been allowed to fall into such a dangerous level of disrepair.
I have to say that the activities in the hotel for the full moon celebration were excellent
Sadly no longer the hotel of choice for us in Chaweng now, there are better hotels for the same price
We stayed in a room with plunge pool, broken tiles in the pool and generally just tired and in need of refresh

My stay at the Briza hotel was nothing short of amazing, but it wouldn't have been this way without the professionalism and attention to detail that Ken, the hotel manager exhibited. He is a diamond in the rough, always eager to help and make the stay as comfortable as possible. His presence is difficult to miss, as he makes himself available from breakfast until late nights, making those staying at the resort a high priority. No request was too small. Early check-in? Done. Late checkout? Done. He truly made my stay memorable and comfortable and I would most certainly stay again. The rooms were also clean, staff were pleasant. I would certainly stay again!

Absolute Rubbish.

Miserable! You charge 5 star prices. Use pictures taken decades ago to promote your product.
When the truth is. Paint will only hide dry rot & concrete cancer for so long.
Black mould in the air-conditioning filter, & under the eve's over the spa, dropping onto the poorly repaired decking with several boards broken and with jagged edges.

If you want a resort away from the hustle and bustle of central Chaweng, but still within walking distance then Briza is the perfect resort

Although listed as a 4 star property this is not 4 star by Western standards, more like a 3. The room is very dated and simple and needs some refurbishment. The bathroom/shower is very simply with minimal amenities, just one small bottle of shampoo and shower gel which was not replaced daily even when empty, and only got bath towels and no hand towels. When the room has its own plunge pool you should get more than 1 towel a day each. Constantly had to ask for more towels daily. The plunge pool is nice, could use a skimmer to use as often found some dead bugs in it but it is a tropical location so expected but would be nice to be able to skim it ourselves for a quick refresh.
Breakfast was very basic. Wifi was very slow and spotty.
Hotel is right on the beach and easy walking distance to other beach bars, the 7/11, and other places or just a simple 5 min ride into town.
Overall this place is great for the price it is but do not expect a Western 4 star property like many of the other hotels on the island.

The pool was small and squeezed in between buildings. Website pictures misleading, no pool by the beach and the hotel does not have a beach, not even a shower by the patio by the water.
The Chaweng beach is full of oil spills, had to buy throw-away beach shoes to step on beach at all.

We had a room with a plunge pool which we used quite often and it was nice to relax in to beat the heat, especially on evenings. Room was spacious and plenty of outside space to relax and hang washing etc.

One slight annoyance was the fact mosquitoes somehow were getting in throughout the night even though we had all doors and windows locked and I got bit quite a few times even with repellent on.

Breakfast was good and all the staff were very friendly.

I would recommend this place based on the price and quietness of the resort.

The best features are the people staffing the front desk and concierge (Michelle and Natty) who go above and beyond to assist. Along with Ray and the polite cleaning staff, it’s the people who deserve a high rating.

Don’t believe the photos!

The hotel pool was filthy and needed a good clean and I’m not sure they add any chlorine to it as the water was green!
The daily cleaning of the room was poor, and clean towels missing everyday apart from the last day. We had a room with a plunge pool, the area around the plunge pool was in a bad state of repair and dangerous. Around the hotel was shabby and could do with more than a lick of paint. Breakfast was just about passable. On the plus side, all the staff we encountered were very pleasant.

Great hotel - bad location

The Briza Beach Resort is an excellent hotel in a not-so-great location. It is too far from the action to walk and despite the hotel being on the water, there is no sand / beach. Just a beach wall.
We needed to use Tuktuks every time to go eating, drinking or shopping. Which was okay - but not ideal with children.

The staff is wonderful as they will go above and beyond to make your stay the best vacation. The desk clerk helped us plan our week with a private driver to see the beautiful sites on Samui. Our day started with a breakfast that was fresh and delicious. The resort does not extend onto the beach. You have to go down some steps. We loved walking on the beach and relaxing. We also loved relaxing in the pools. And one of the pools was the perfect pool for our 3 year old grandson. He learned to put his face in the water. We would definitely stay at Briza again.

Hellhole should be a 1 star

Absolutely terrible hotel should be 2 star at best complex is run down and not maintained for years photos at least 5 years old beach full of rubbish nobody upkeeping it unlike neighbouring properties breakfast is deplorable menu never changes tea and coffee undrinkable accommodation aren’t maintained sunlougers and cushions absolutely filthy no cleaning takes place whatsoever just a rundown terrible resort we were booked in for 8 days but couldn’t stand it anymore after 4 nights water pouring in when rained was the last straw the only people that should be commended are the staff they do try their best but this is a hellhole there nothing else I can say a nightmare experience also had a plunge pool which all the decking was broken around it so dangerous if your thinking of going to this resort don’t you will regret it

Even though the hotel is a bit outdated it's hard not to give a high rating since it's really cheap, a lot of \"bang for the bucks\", and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Only negative is that the hotel doesn't have their own beach access, unless when the tide is low, that was a bit surprising (pictures didn't tell). We stayed in a supreme room (325) with a plunge pool at the balcony which was really nice.

Since we had an unrefundable room, we still came to Samui admist a 2nd Covid spread in the area. So understandably the hotel needed to cater to only a handful of guests. However the beds were really hard, we didn't have hot water the first night, and the pool was dirty until we complained. Also there is no beach access, so we had to go down the hill to cut through another hotel. The grounds are ok and nice, but be prepared to walk up and down the steep hill if you want to get to the beach. Also steep ramps to get to our room, so not a hotel for the feeble.

The hotel was ok, the only reason why we booked this was because of the private plunge pool. We arrived and our room was on the ground floor abd therefore our outdoor area with our plunge pool was completely in the shade. The prices had halved since I had booked the holiday so I asked at reception if we could move. They did give us a much better located plunge pool room on the top floor, but the old wooden step to the plunge pool was slightly broken (with a drop to one side over the low railing) they did I’m one out and fix this but this was really dangerous. Staff were friendly enough. We have to leave the holiday early due to covid19, all hotels had been flexible where we had prebooked to stay asking if we were still coming and Expedia offering full refunds. As I left this hotel early (and paid an inflated cost) I have been trying to get the money back the the I stayed nights, with no negotiation they will not reimburse any of these costs despite me explaining I had to pay another £2500 to get home with the crisis. I thought they have have been a little more compassionate, I find this really dissapointing.
