What a beautiful hotel . Centrally located and walking distance of everything you need . Right on the ocean with 2 very nice pools , although not as large as other hotels I have stayed in . The monkey pool is like a winding river. The rooms are huge and clean . The tv selection is large with Netflix and Amazon . The breakfast buffet is wonderful. The beach is beautiful . What a great hotel . If you are coming from Phuket or Bangkok ( not just the airports) change money there . The exchange rate is lower in Samui by about 4%.

Perfect hotel, quiet, cozy, amazing staff. Only breakfast you have more convenience to make coffee. Coffee machines always stop working a lot and that makes waiting time for coffee and makes a queue of people who are hungry. Breakfast should be more varied, more vegetables, more variety of cheeses. Overall a perfect hotel and I will go back there again next time when in Thailand

We really enjoyed this resort, one of the best resort on this beach. Staffe are all very well trained with fresh uniforms (all look clean and ironed) beach and lounge chairs are always been cleaned and in shade ( under trees). Breakfast is awesome even when we checked out at 5:00am in the early morning, they’ve prepared breakfast set in a beautiful box for each of us to go. Staffs are all very polite and kinds. Pool in between two buildings is very pretty and clean and looks awesome at night with its led lights. Some people are very party modes and with no manners of noise controlling, talking so loud even at 2 or 3 o’clock in the morning that we had needed to call front desk for help.
If we visit Koh Samui again we’ll definitely come back here. Strongly recommended this resort.

Had a great time here, some previous reviews mentioned it being loud because it’s near the airport, but that really didn’t bother us much. Planes were not as frequent and were generally pretty fun to watch go over.

The main negatives were the shower temperature being pretty much impossible to regulate, and the lack of access to quick snacks at the resort. The only real snack option would be to order something from the restaurant if you want to stay at the resort beach all day; and once breakfast stops being served, no coffee or complementary drinks/juices are available once it closes.

Overall though, had a great experience. The staff was warm and friendly and always willing to assist with any request, the resort was in great condition, and you cannot beat the price!

Everything was with inconvenient walking distance, and it was very easy to get a taxi or a grab to explore other parts of the island.

We enjoyed our time at Chaweng Garden Resort. It is situated in convenient but busy area under flight path, that was no surprise as the hotel told us about it at the booking time. If you are a sound sleeper, then you should not worry about it. There are multitudes of food options, from street carts to good restaurants, right at the door step. The beach and a reasonable swimming pool are a part of the property. We were able to do all that we had planned. In Samui waft of weed smoke is for free, enjoy.

Brilliant hotel. It was clean, staff were super helpful and the breakfast was awesome (with loads of choice). They have beautiful squirrels that live in the trees around the grounds, which was lovely to watch as we ate. The hotel is also right in the heart of Chaweng with restaurants, shops, pharmacies, ATMs, etc literally right at the front door. I can't take this place highly enough.

Lovely hotel on its own sandy beach with beautiful views. The rooms are clean and the staff are exceptional. The surroundings can be a little noisy but that is because it is in central Chaweng. However, that does mean that there are plenty of shops and restaurants in the surrounding area. I have stayed here a couple of times and would definitely go back.

We had the pleasure of staying in a villa during our time at Chaweng Garden Beach Resort, and the experience was outstanding. The villa was spacious, tastefully decorated, and featured a large, well-appointed bathroom. It was located just steps from the beach, which was beautiful, and the air conditioning kept the space consistently comfortable. A small private deck with two chairs provided a relaxing outdoor area.

For anyone considering this resort, I highly recommend booking a villa. The value is excellent, and the comfort and convenience are well worth the cost. Friends who were travelling with us stayed in a nearby villa that included a private plunge pool in an enclosed courtyard for added privacy. Although the bathroom in that unit was slightly smaller, the overall quality remained exceptional.

Dining options at the resort were very good. Drink prices were nearly as low as those found at nearby street vendors, and the food was consistently enjoyable. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety and changed slightly each day during our eight-day stay. The fresh fruit was excellent, and while the coffee machines were automatic, they produced surprisingly good café lattes and cappuccinos.

Service throughout the resort was exceptional, and the staff at the buffet and front desk were consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful.

Overall, Chaweng Garden Beach Resort exceeded our expectations. Having stayed at other properties along Chaweng Beach this was the best by far.

Decent hotel, but stay with issues

In the 2 days I stayed at this hotel, I was dealing way too much with an issue with my room door (the issue being the door wouldn't open and I couldn't access my room). This meant running several hundred feet from my room to the reception back and forth in blistering heat. Not a fun way to spend a vacation.

They ended up upgrading me to a bungalow, but not because it's what I wanted. I actually preferred the room I had, which gave me more privacy, but they were sold out.

Other than that, location is good if you want to be right in the center of Chaweng, and terrible if you don't. Rooms were decent, but the entire stay was ruined because of the constant issues.

Beachfront resort at the start of the good part of Chaweng beach. Centrally located near great shopping and restaurants. Pool, bar and restaurant area combined on the beach end of the resort offers a fun and lively atmosphere. Only downside was our room was on the Ark Bar side of the resort which it made a bit loud until 2am each night. And the staff would not allow us to have a second towel by the pool! Not the greatest of hospitality shown there. All in all though it was a terrific stay. Would definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was within walking distance to pretty much anything we needed. It was surrounded by the loud and busy nightlife but once you were back on the resort property the noise quickly faded away which was so nice. The beach was great, we found the snorkeling to be really good with plenty of fish to see. We were a family of 6 and everyone liked the breakfast. I felt like there were plenty of options and it was nice not to have to walk around and find somewhere to eat every morning. The rooms were modern and clean. The only downside was they occasionally smelled like rotten eggs or some type of sewer smell. Difficult to describe and we weren’t sure what was causing it but it was outside around the area as well. It didn’t bother us enough to do anything about it. Overall the resort was clean, staff was friendly and location was great. I would highly recommend.

We loved our stay so much that we ended up extending our stay. The rooms are surrounded by lush greenery on a beautiful beach. The restaurant is excellent and very well priced, not sure if I can eat a Thai green curry back in London after I had it here. The location is very convenient for shopping, night market, clubs for the younger crowd. There is an excellent gym walking distance. I had the best massages here, I called her my body doctor for my ruined back from computers. The one thing I would have liked was if there was some yoga or fitness class onsite maybe once a day but as I mentioned there is a good gym nearby.

If I come back to samui I will definitely stay here. Great resort at a good price point.

We had a fantastic stay at Chaweng Garden Resort in Koh Samui! The resort itself is beautiful, with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly polite and always happy to help, making our experience even more enjoyable.

I have to say, I wasn’t expecting this hotel to be as good as it was. There were a few messages which seemed curt, and I went in, expecting an average stay. But to my shock, the staff was wonderful, the premises gorgeous and the location was perfect.

We had a family bungalow near the pool, and we loved the space. The restaurant was surprisingly good, esp the Green Samui smoothie. At dinner, they bring the tables out onto the beach, so you can eat with the sand under your feet. All in all, it was a fantastic stay and we would definitely come back.

We were meant to stay here for 3 nights but unfortunately the weather in Koh Samui was monsoon so we decided to stay for one night and go Bangkok

But that was a hard choice because the facilities and staff here were so fantastic to us, the ambience of the hotel was great and location was in the middle of everything you needed

The breakfast was brilliant and after telling the staff we was going to check out early due to the weather, they provided us a private car to the airport

The location is great as you are right on the beach and there’s two nice pools. But we found our room quite dirty, and unfortunately had no sleep. Beds are rock solid and noise from arc bar was loud until early hours. And then from 8am construction work on a building within the hotel next to our room. We wouldn’t return mainly because of the beds being worst we slept on in all of Thailand!

Best location on Chaweng beach!!

Location wise this is the best place to stay on Chaweng Beach, right next to Ark bar and fire shows at night and walk out front door of resort and in center of all the action, can’t get a better area on beach. Overall resort well kept and nice, definitely not a 5 star but for price it’s great and I’d give it 4-4.5 out of 5. Would absolutely stay again. Can get hour massages next to pool for 300 Baht or $9 US dollar. We originally booked a shino room and dark and little dated but the hotel front desk was able to relocate us and we were much happier being by the monkey pool so kudos to the front staff for going out of their way to make our stay much better. Don’t stay to north of this hotel as during day beach washed away, at night water recedes but id stay here or anywhere to the south of this resort.

The houses are spacious and comfortably furnished. Most importantly, the staff is incredibly friendly, always helpful without being intrusive. This place was a great hotel, staff were lovely, rooms were made everday if you requested, very efficient, restaurant had great burgers could of come with more chips but then again prob not a bad thing haha, green chicken curry mmmm expected better for Thailand but when you order room service you get what you get. The towel card thing I could not get my head around though. So when you check in ur given a card to use to get a towel for pool/decking on beach and if you lose the card there is a charge and they ask you room number when you give you card, it just makes no sense to me, if your staying at the hotel as a paid guest they should just give you a towel. Property was fine , but a man at front desk pulled me out of the room and had me follow him because he wanted to show me that I had to collect my laundry, he was wrong, I had picked up the day before. I had complained that cleaner took my laundry as trash because I left it next to the trash can. Made me feel like I was in trouble, I will not be using your property agsin

A beach-front gem right in the midst of everything

Such a great find - a beach-front gem right in the midst of everything.

PROS:
- Staff were super friendly (special shout-out to May)
- Literally a minute away from restaurants, bars, nightlife
- Stunning beachfront
- Clean with plenty of facilities
- Well looked after
- Reasonably priced food and cocktails in the hotel

A few things to consider:
- It's right underneath the flight path, which also makes for awesome plane spotting
- Breakfast is a bit underwhelming, and no variety; pretty much the same offer every single day
- The beach villas are a little bit dated but are well maintained and very clean
- The sun loungers are pretty uncomfortable and could do with an upgrade
- The close proximity to nightlife could be bothersome for some; however, it wasn't bad at all

An easy fix for the hotel:
- One thing that surprised me was that unless staff were cleaning up around the pool and beach areas, we always had to walk up to the bar to order food/drinks - a missed opportunity and an easy fix, in my opinion!
