Staff are all wonderful. But the hotel company need to spend some serious money on cosmetic updates and refreshing amenities.

The pool area is very sad and tired, umbrellas are worn and tatty, towels are stained and torn. No where near enough sun beds for the amount of rooms.

The bathrooms are not well designed, dark walls and dim lighting combined with huge gaps in the mosquito nets on the windows mean they are a breeding ground for mosquitos. So you can’t use the toilet or shower without being attacked.

Beds are comfortable, but the sheets are old and worn, some with holes in.

Rather expensive for the price of £125+ a night. Can’t find much nicer hotels for half the price

Good location if you want to stay out of the noise from the town. Room was very cosy, comfortable bed. Breakfast was average, a lot of flies around food however. Staff are lovely and happy to help. Pool needs a good clean. But right next to the beach. Would stay here again.

for the VIP access , as was indicated when booking this room, unfortunately, it does not even correspond. firstly, at my request (for a fee) to wake me up every day at 8 am - this has never happened in all my days. secondly, the air conditioner is broken, it was repaired - but again, for such an amount, I’m upset. third, a waiting place is not provided if the departure is later than check-out. their towels turned out to be all dirty when they asked for one day to take a shower. and there was no room for a massage. Well, that's funny. I'm not happy with the hotel. And yet, at breakfasts, waiters don’t stand there for beauty, right? or do they have a specifically biased attitude towards girls who allow themselves to rest on their own?

If you want to stay in Chaweng beach area, I think this is one of the best options for the money. The good:
staff is super friendly, smiley and accommodating
it was hot when we were there and this was the coolest pool I experienced on the whole island to be honest
location is north side of chaweng and right next to a chill beach restaurant/bar called “our place”

The bad:
-hotel not flexible with depending on policy. I had to pay for an extra night despite staying 10 days. Beware
-rooms are a bit simple and lots of little problems (water pressure, thin walls, hot) maybe matching to price
-not the best area of the beach and the speakers at the pool are not great
-steep stairs to lobby and breakfast place
-need to get lucky for room locations on property
-pool towels and umbrellas are falling apart
-gym is hot and tiny

I think overall the location to the price is very good hence 4 stars. Just make sure you get the booking right it make sure to get a flexible option in case you need to change.

After the air-conditioner was serviced four times I stopped having a water feature in my room 😂. Staff are amazing very friendly always smiling happy to help rooms are clean and tidy with good water pressure for shower outdoor area big. A bit far from party Central but can walk 15 minutes surrounding areas great good food options.

This is a wonderful adult-only resort located on a quieter side of Chaweng Beach, the breakfast selection is good and the staffs are very helpful, although the beachfront is shared with other resorts, its all linked and connected as such. The beach on this stretch is one of the better ones around the island, cleaner and less debris.

Lovely resort on the beach within a 10 minute walk to the centre of Chaweng . The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The beach area has access to bars and restaurants, which makes a lovely setting for a sunset drink on the beach .

The staff are warm and friendly and helpful .

The breakfast was quite basic for the level of hotel and could be improved. Overall a great stay

Nice resort on the beach. At end of Chaweng bit far from the center.
The Lobby, parking and breakfast are 2 floors above the main grounds, without elevator. To much of a challenge for mobile impaired people.
Room is large, with large bathroom. Missing is a simple chair, even when asked for this is not available.

The property was run down. Umbrella’s at the poolside broken. The pool decking is rotting and needed fixing. Very dangerous for patrons. The beds featured in the ads on the beach no longer exist. Our room had a dreadful shower we did not .complain as we just thought it was part of the deal. The air conditioning unit in our room was noisy and made strange noises all night. The shower head spurted out everywhere and was hard to control the temperature. The hand basins only offered cold water. The resort is very cleverly designed and putting all the above aside was and could be wonderful if a small amount of maintenance was carried out. The staff are a credit to the resort.

Great staff, pool needs some tile work (they are getting very sharp and jagged), great location although some idiot up the road (not in the hotel or any other hotel we could identify so a private residence or BNB) started playing music really loud after midnight over about 7 nights and lasted one night til 4am, everyone was complaining it kept them awake.

From being picked up at the airport to being warmly greeted at reception with cold flannels and iced tea, delicious breakfasts, clean rooms, exceptional professional staff and fantastic beach and pool swimming Chura Samui has it all! 10 minutes walk to all the action in town, across the road from 7/11 staff are very very helpful hiring a car for us on our behalf and then driving us to the airport again! I am so happy I would highly recommend this resort and would love to return again one day, thank you so much for making our stay just wonderful and just perfect.

I loved how close it is to the beach ! Staff gave prompt services and were extremely polite to every guest. The room is clean and big and the toilet was spacious as well . The resort is very close to the airport and there were plenty of convenience stores and restaurants around . In house bars, massage parlours and water sports activities were also available and the beach was clean too!

One of the best hotels on Chaweng beach. Out of the most noisy and crowded areas but easy to walk or get a tuk tuk to town. The rooms are nice, large and clean and the pool faces the sea. Bestvof all are the staff who are friendly and helpful. A great place to stay

Breakfast buffet is simple and healthy in general for the small additional cost. Room was well designed, small infinity pool overlooking the beach was a nice cozy touch.

The hotel is perfectly located on Chewang beach away from the busy (dirty) party scene and main drag, but also walking distance in case that’s your thing. The rooms are very nice with little patios and excellent bathrooms with a rain shower that was amazing! The pool is at the beach overlooking the water and the bay that Chewang is on is shallow and very swimable; it’s fun to walk along the beach and checkout the other restaurants and bars. The hotel also offers massages on the beach, which were excellent too! Hotel caters to couples and families mostly, but was also nice for a trip with friends. Big shout out to Chart who made our stay very enjoyable despite the tropical storm that decided to come with us to Samui. He was very caring knowing that the weather prevented us from truly experiencing the greatness of the Thai islands.

When you travel and stay in hotels, the naked truth is: no matter how nice the room is, no matter how good you sleep on the mattress, no matter how wonderful the room view is, how good the breakfast and the drinks are or how special the location is... it always boils down to one and one thing only: the staff. Can they live up to the quality standards, do the make you feel \"at home\", do they observe, understand and see what your needs are, do they make you feel welcome or even sad to leave?

At Chura Samui, everything of the above is just great. But above all, the staff is wonderful: friendly, courteous and happy to help in any situation. The will always go an extra mile to help and accomodate you. All this is what really defines the nice and special atmosphere in this hotel and what makes it such a great place to spend your precious holidays.

It's very much the Staff and the management at Chura Samui, that will \"make your day\", or better said, \"make your stay\"!

Hotel staff are nice and attentive. Rooms are well maintained. A bit dated furnishings including the bed itself and possible mold spots in the restroom. Overall not so bad, comfortable enough to have a good night sleep. Would stay again, given price should stay reasonable with aging/upkeep.

Lovely location and very polite professional staff. The room was clean and comfortable, and the poolside had a great view of the beach. The resort is also located very nicely near many restaurants and about 15-20 mins walk to Festival (central shopping area). The breakfast options were average, you're much better off eating at the nearby restaurants or by the pool.

The only small annoyances were a) housekeeping staff were knocking on my door at 9am on the 3rd day, it's quite obvious people don't wake up at 9am while they're on holiday so maybe think about that, and b) the cleaners would also sweep the resort grounds at 10am and it causes quite a lot of noise, and c) the loud dance music from the bars along the beach would be playing right into the hours of the morning (3-4am) which meant a little difficulty in sleeping. Other than that, everything else was up to standard and very enjoyable.

Right on the beach and about a 15 mins walk from the main mall and Chaweng beach, this hotel has a great pool overlooking the ocean and a pretty cool pool area although the bar-restaurant was overpriced and not very tasty, so I would suggest eating somewhere else. Breakfast was better though, with a decent selection of fruit, pastries and cheeses, and a side of eggs of your choice. Products could have been more fresh. We were a bit disappointed from the room since the balcony had no use with no view to overlook, but it was clean and modern and the shower facilities worked perfectly. In conclusion, perhaps not the most pampering for a couple spending their honeymoon but pretty darn cute!

A peaceful and tranquil retreat

Another lovely stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff are gentle, gracious and very helpful and the rooms are tranquil and spacious.
Its well located at the quieter end of Chaweng (apart from the hideous Jetskis which have appeared up there and are an irritation later in the day) and in a pretty location filled with Frangipani trees. Breakfast is generous and I loved the juicer where you can concoct your own drink from a huge selection of fruit. Egg bar and lots of good coffee or teas. The buffet dinner on the beach was great fun and very delicious and generous!

This place is really close to shopping centres and restaurants. Just few things which are making this place really an OK one.

1. Same breakfast everyday makes super boring big time.
2. Reception staff is really helpful but not restaurant and bar. They make faces and talk in their own language if you ask something extra.
3 Rooms had mosquitos and also our Aircon broke down but after couple of days they sent someone to fix it.
4. Not a good option in food for vegetarian people, all you can eat is rice and spring rolls.

Classy hotel directly on the beach

The best thing about Chura is that it is the only hotel on Chaweng Beach with a pool directly fronting the beach with a view of the ocean. Its location allows easy access to restaurants and night life while maintaining some quiet.

The breakfasts also get high marks! Breakfast is served in an outdoor veranda overlooking palm trees and a peekaboo view of the ocean. In addition to a large buffet spread, you order continental or Thai hot meals from a menu. There was a juicer that we used every day to make fresh carrot juice. The waitress remembered our orders from the previous day down to the type of espresso.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and the couch was comfortable enough to sleep on. The bathroom suite is outdoors and quite large, an interesting concept but the transition from air conditioned bedroom to hot humid bathroom takes a little getting used to. And the presence of mosquitoes required continuous incense burning in the bathroom. The standard rooms I believe have indoor baths.

Upon arrival at this resort with an efficient (though quite expensive for such a short journey of about 10 min.) airport transfer, I was welcomed by the Reception staff and needed to wait just a few minutes to be checked in. The room I was given had a lovely, very clean interior but I was very disappointed that there was virtually no view of anything (just a few tall tree branches right outside the window that would block any natural daylight ) and the so-called 'terrace' was small and very dark---basically an enclosed box which felt like a cage and would remain quite dark during the day. Very unattractive and uncomfortable. I had asked specifically (and been assured via e-mail previously by this hotel) that they would provide a room with a nice view (i.e. garden or sea). I pointed this out to the Reception staff member who had taken me to my room and he promised to inform the next day's duty manager about the room problem. After spending one night in this dark room (because I was told the hotel was \"full\"), the manager on duty the next day, named Arm, contacted me and was extremely helpful. He provided me with an alternative room (in the same room category I'd booked) with a comfortable, larger, open balcony and windows receiving much more daylight. It was a beautiful room and I was very happy with it. I would have preferred to have had this type of room from the start, as I'd requested, but at least I was able to really enjoy the last 2 of my 3 nights' stay.

Came for quiet and rest. Got it. Plenty of time to watch the tide on the sandy beach. Still some locals restos are nearby and a 7-11 store to stock drinks and sweets. Close to airport but absolutely no airplane noise. Lacking bicycles may be Thais and tourists are lazy enough to prefer motorbikes.

authentic small beachside hotel

Laid back hotel on the beach at the northern relaxed part of the wonderful chaweng beach. Hotel has only 65 rooms and is a very well maintained and designed boutique hotel. The breakfast buffet is very good and the Lavazza coffe is just like in Italy. Local breakfast is also available. The only drawback if this hotel is a common lounge and the relatively mediocre fod served at the bar. The massage is of great quality and good value for money. There are many good restaurants in the neighborhood so would definitely go back to this hotel.

Fantastic Place to stay 5 Stars.

Amazing hotel, quiet and friendly staff, far enough away from Chaweng, but also really close to get involved, if you wanted to. Close to a number of restaurants and facilities, fantastic pool and right on the beach.

Nice hotel with good access to beach

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had a nice room which was close to the bar which was a little noisy during the day but we were never there so didn't bother us. Pool and bar area were pleasant and the food was ok. Thai food was better at the local restaurants. Bit of a long trek into town but the local pick up truck taxis are cheap and frequent enough. We preferred Lamai beach for swimming rather than chaweng

A peaceful, wonderful stay on Samui

Such a great boutique resort! The service here was truly outstanding and I was always greeted with a smile. The rooms were good, but could use a few minor improvements. There were many options to choose from for breakfast, and the coffee was delicious. Overall, I had a wonderful stay here and found Chura Samui to be an exceptional value for the money.

We had a brilliant time whilst staying here! The rooms were spacious and clean and beds were comfy. The maids came everyday and made our beds and provided us with fresh towels. The hotel is nice and quiet but only a 10minute walk into the town centre. You can also walk along the beach and find plenty of restaurants and bars. Also the staff are lovely and anything you need there their 24/7. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Small hotel in a quieter area of Chaweng but an easy walk along the beach to everything else. The room was huge but the balcony was - not that you could see anything. The room is all concrete but it was comfortable. The bathroom has 2 sinks but only cold water in them. Breakfast is ok but the breakfast area is at the road end of the hotel, again no view, and would be much better at the beach end. The pool is nice and a great place to chill out.

Very friendly staff, clean room ( but not so big) and very nice porch, comfortable beds, beautiful and clean pool, very good breakfast. We stayed for 8 nights and when we had problems with our room the staff apologise and solve them immediately.
It is highly recommended!!

Nice hotel in amazing location

We have been to Koh Samui twice and stayed here both times. After visiting in April 2016 we booked to return in April 2017.

The hotel is lovely, particularly the pool area and we love the location.

The best part of our April 2016 stay was the breakfast but unfortunately the worst part of our April 2017 stay was the breakfast! They have changed from having the hot food buffet style to being cooked to order and, surprisingly, it was really disappointing.

We'll probably stay in a different hotel next time we come because of how poor the breakfast was.

This combined with the fact the treadmill in the gym was out of action (won't impact most holiday makers but was an inconvenience for me) made our trip an 8/10 rather than last year's 10/10.

Beautiful rooms, but the beach isn't the best

The rooms at Chura were really nice and as described. The breakfast was also really good. Plenty of continental style stuff laid out, plus salad and dim sum. There was also a menu to order off of as well.

The people at the front desk and security at the street were really courteous and helpful. However the friendliness of the breakfast staff was hit or miss. They weren't that attentive or accommodating to my requests for vegetarian food.

The beach experience of course is awesome because it Thailand ... you can have massages and food/drink directly on the beach via the hotel. Great cabanas and chairs that were always available. However, the water directly in front of us was murky and had jet skis and boats coming in. You have to walk down a bit to get to clear water. I also didn't think the beach was very clean. I was surprised at the trash and debris I came across. I would have thought the resorts would clean up better.

5 star quality at 4 star price!

My boyfriend and I had the most incredible stay at Chura Samui! The beachfront location at the north end of Chaweng beach is fantastic, close enough to all the action (15 minute walk to Ark Bar) but far enough away from the heavy tourist areas further down the beach. The hotel itself, including the rooms, pool area (also beachfront), and restaurant, are very tastefully decorated, comfortable, and importantly always spotless- and the wifi worked well in all areas. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had plenty of choice (both cooked and fresh options) even for picky eaters like myself, as were the lunch and dinner menus if you chose to eat in. Finally, the staff was truly exceptional from check-in to check-out, incredibly kind, polite, and helpful with anything you might want to arrange (motorbike rental, taxi, day trips, etc.) I would not hesitate to return next time I visit Koh Samui, and recommend to any couples visiting the island!

Good hotel with a lovely setting

Nice, modern accommodation on the beach in Koh Samui. Staff were helpful and check in / out was speedy. Room was a decent size and the bathroom was large with a powerful shower. The hotel is at the end of the resort, good as your not in the hustle of the town but it's around 10 mins walk on narrow pavement. Would stay again and would recommend.

Quiet and relaxing hotel

The hotel is located in a quiet area, 10 - 15 minutes walking distance from the nightlife area. The stuff are really nice and helpful. They really helped us with all of our requets. The room didn't feel so spacious but it was clean with big balcony. The breakfast is very rich, even had morning champagne and pancakes! Sometimes the service at breakfast was good and sometimes slow. The pool is very nice, located right by the beach but needs to be renovated since it had some rough walls. In general we enjoyed the hotel and the service.

A resort to go back to!

The resort was amazing. It doesn't have activities to do at the resort, but it was very easy to walk onto the beach that had a bunch of activities and beach bars. It was easy to walk to the shops and to the night market. It was also located very near to the airport. The resort also offers the option to rent vehicles for 24 hours and its a nice ride to get to the south of the island.

Great hotel with a unique vibe

Great stay, great service, nicely decorated room, large bathroom. The only down point was that the bed sheets smelt of mildew, probably because my room was right by the sea.
