Nora Beach Resort & Spa is a beautiful hotel with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach while visiting Koh Samui. They offer a delicious complimentary breakfast, and their happy hour is a great bonus. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful vacation experience!

Nora Beach is a fabulous gem of a resort...It is much, much more beautiful than the pictures and the staff is incredible...Most importantly they have a general manager, that understands that the hotel is in the hospitality business and makes it his business to solve problems in the most generous and understanding way possible.. The breakfast was fantastic and the service was great from top to bottom. The pool, spa and facilities are outstanding and would happily return to Nora. The plants and gardens throughout are beautiful and provide privacy and tranquility throughout. You're also not too far from great nearby restaurants like Cocoon. Connections to tours and airport pick up were also readily available and convenient. Had minor issues with the bath and shower head in my space and the TV is quite small, but the bed, air conditioning, balcony and bathroom set up is comfortable and high quality.

Property is under construction, beach is close. Pool area with heavy machinery, therefore you wont be able to see the sunset or the beach from the pool. Beach closed also. The pictures are not the same as you see on expedia. Last day water was cut off, we had to take a shower in another room. 7115 to be more exact. You will lose your money. Worst bday and 10 aniversary

There had been some damage due to a storm or wave that decimated parts of the beach. Because of this there was a bad smell in one of our two rooms and there was beach construction and water shut off scheduled. However the staff were very accommodating and offered us a comped meal etc as a preemptive apology for the mess(mind it was a natural disaster) they were doing their best to clean up. The property itself was beautiful and our half day at the spa facility was amazing. I would return for a longer stay next time.

Nora Beach Resort & Spa is not in the centre of the hustle & bustle of Chaweng Beach, but not too far away and they have a shuttle service to take you there and back. We stayed in one of the beautiful beach front villas with a private pool. The room is gorgeous and spacious and the pool and outdoor area is lovely and very private! Spacious lounge area with a lounge and a couple of chairs, spacious bedroom, plenty of cupboard space and a beautiful bathroom with shower & bath. The only thing I would have liked is a mattress option as the mattress was way too hard for us. The ocean is just outside, so you hear the sound of the waves crashing which is lovely. They have had a lot of erosion from stormy weather lately, so there was alot of sand missing and you couldn't walk out to the water, but they are in the process of repairing this. The staff at the resort are plentiful and attentive and our room attendant was lovely (Apel), she always added some flowers and made sure our water supply was abundant! The restaurant was good, a nice selection of both Thai and western food and right on the beach. The complimentary breakfast was great, so much to choose from and the egg station was a great addition. The spa is amazing, the massage we had was most relaxing. I would highly recommend this resort if you're looking for a quieter stay on Koh Samui! Thankyou Nora Beach!

The perfect location - close to the airport and Chaweng/Samui Central, but far away enough for quiet relaxation. The staff are incredible and so lovely! The family pool villa was a generous size with lots of privacy. This was our second time too stay at Nora Beach Resort and can't wait to go back.

Nora beach is a paradise on Koh Samui, pur ocean villa was situated in a beautiful tropical garden, cleaned every day, the staff was very nice and helpful. If there is stg where I would recommend a little improvement is cleaning sun beds at the pool bit better + one of the older guys at the pool bar could look less bothered and amswer to \"hellos\", but itvwas the only person we didnt like. Overall I strongly recommend and would come back! Thank you!

I had a hard time using the access card to open the door and so did my friend. We had to slot in the card multiple time and it just won't unlock. When closing the door to go out you will need to slam the door and hence, you have plenty to people slamming their doors throughout the day and night.

Mixer for hot and cold water is ridiculous, after waiting for a long time to have warm water, it disappear half way during the shower. There is no lift if you are assigned to be on the high level. You need to climb the stairs, not recommended for those with weak knees.

The only enjoyable part is the sea view during breakfast.

Positive: we had a beach Villa with private pool, was nice and spacious. Negatives : resort wifi was weak and unreliable. They gave us a pocket wifi that worked great for couple days until it did not. They changed our pocket twice…still very weak wifi…tech guy came to set us up with a ‘’private connection’’ but it was in & out, again not reliable…Breakfast was just ok, seems they had a difficult time keeping up the paste refreshing dishes, other mornings, options were mainly noodles, rice, pasta. Some staff members were obviously happy to assist us as for some others, it was obviously a burden. The gym is minuscule, they added so many equipment that there are no room to move around.

The Nora resort and spa is without a doubt our favorite hotel we stayed at during our entire thialand trip. The premises were breathtaking, the rooms are large and gorgeous, with some of the best views from the pool and room. We wish we would’ve stayed even longer just to stay on the resort and enjoy the perks of being here. Could not recommend this place any more than we already are, a must stay.

Really nice resort with an amazing view, pool. Breakfast had a great variety. Only thing was the villa was really dark. Need to have more lighting, even dark in the bathroom. Cleanliness was just okay. Location was a 20 minute walk into town up and down hills otherwise taxi, tutt tutt should not be more than 100 bhat. Very friendly helpful staff

We loved Nora Beach Resort and Spa and will definitely stay again.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The resort was kept immaculately clean. We liked the dining options available and the prices were very reasonable for a resort. Location suited us as it is away from the main area of Chaweng but still close enough if you need to be in the action. The whole resort was really quiet and we found it very relaxing.

This is a fabulous resort. The location is magic, the staff very professional, courteous, friendly, helpful & very welcoming. Pla was a stand out performer & so was her supervisor. Very clean, spacious, well appointed with everything necessary for a stay, your own swimming pool right on the beach. The restaurant is excellent as is the breakfast. Only a short taxi ride to the centre of town and a half hour ferry ride to Kho Phangnan. All in all this is one of my favourite resorts.

Great location - just around the corner from the craziness of Chaweng Beach. Quite secluded beach with great swimming pool. Breakfast options were numerous and quite tasty. My only wish list items would be Stand Up Paddle Boards that guests could use.

Great location, wonderful pool, beach, clean spacious rooms, friendly staff.
I do have a few comments -
- hotel is less than 5 min drive from airport and 7 min drive from Bangrak pier. Not only don’t they offer complimentary pickup they ask for 400baht for 2 persons from pier and 300 baht for 2 people to airport... was able to get a taxi for 4 people to airport for much less on my own....
- water is extremely overpriced 70baht for small bottle (they don’t have big bottles...).
-most important comment is the construction carried next to the hotel, so when at the beach/pool there’s constant banging noises.... very disturbing.
Altogether it’s a good hotel and we had a nice time

The pool was too warm and shallow and the so called free 'shuttle bus' was at odd times so you had to spend more on travelling as everything was a bit too far to walk. Breakfast was one of the worst I have ever had at a resort and communication from reception was quite poor.

The room was clean except for a stench after a heavy downpour. When we told reception about it, someone came to spray something that wasn't much better. I would not book this hotel again.

The property was lovely, the chalets/huts were awesome. There were 5 of us in our party so we had both rooms in our hut and there was an adjoining door between us. It is quite a slope down to the beach and pool so if you have any walking disability than this may not be the hotel for you

I liked that despite there being quite a steady amount of rubbish wash up on the beach, staff cleaned it up. Impressive the resort prioritise this. The breakfast was good. Pity about the coffee machines. Also no soy available despite indicating I’m dairy intolerant. Same thing for son-in-law. He has a significant reaction to gluten & told staff but no gluten free foods available to him.

A Little Slice of Heaven

This was a last minute booking, I wanted to be near the airport, and I didn't know how wonderful it was going to be! You feel like you are in a secluded garden with a gorgeous pool area overlooking a private beach, having all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The spacious and open, beachside restaurant has a full vegetarian menu, and the food is excellent, so no need to even leave for days!
The rooms are spotless, with nice balconies and updated bathrooms. Wifi is spot on. There is a safe and refrigerator in the room. There is a full spa and a workout facility, neither of which I saw due to the brevity of my visit.
And the service is impeccable.
Wonderful experience and I am looking forward to a return visit in the future.

We booked a beachfront Pool Villa Suite and we were very pleased we did as it was lovely and gave us the privacy and quiet we were hoping for. The only disappointment, which we could not tell from the photographs when we booked it, is that you do not have direct access to the beach. There is a retaining wall almost the whole length of the hotel's land and only a narrow strip of beach the other side accessed by steps. When the tide was in there was no beach at all in front of our villa. The manmade beach in front of the villa was very coarse and stoney. When we first arrived there was a lot of rubbish, bits of plastic etc outside our villa, which we collected and put in a pile. I think the garden got the hint and collected it the next day!! It was very upsetting to see how much rubbish was in the ocean and, although I know this is not the hotels fault, was surprised that the Hotel Management had not told their staff to pick up any plastic waste that was washed up on the beach in front of their hotel. The breakfast was good, lots to choose from. Did not eat their in the evening as it was completely lacking in atmosphere and did not use any of the hotel's other facilities. One other point to consider when booking the Nora Beach Resort is that it is as bit in the middle of nowhere (if you walk down the hill there are three of four reasonably priced restaurants) so it means taking taxis all the time.

One of the best beachfront villas on Koh Samui.

We rented one of their beachfront villas with private infinity pool and this resort is really hard to beat in that aspect. The location (beach), their facilities and staff make this a premier place to stay. The only bad thing we encountered was one night our sheets were not the right size and were clearly not of the premier quality. The staff is fabulous in how well they treat you; all (with the exception of one) went out of their way to greet us and made us feel welcome and special. We went to the other well known resorts on this island and can definitely state that location-wise this one is very hard to beat. We will definitely come here again!

Not recommended IF you want to be on the beach, and in an area within walking distance to food and shopping.
Recommend, if you want to hang out at the hotel and sit pool side! Very quiet and clean, but a little more pricey then we thought it was worth.

Fantastic hotel, amazing staff and we loved the quiet beach. The buffet breakfasts were also wonderful and we looked forward to it every morning. The one thing that could have been improved was the water pressure in our bathroom - it was a bit weak and the hot water sometimes went off for a minute mid-shower. Even though the hotel isn't far from the main Chaweng Beach strip, it's not really walk-able as there are no proper footpaths along many of the roads.

Breakfast was good with special to order omelettes and so much more! The grounds are beautiful and tropical. The front lobby/bar had a surprise acoustical guitarist playing later in the night. Quiet location away from the crowds

Checked in for 7 nights early October after spending 6 nights in an up market villa in the \"hills\" of Koh Samui. At first this place looked like a dump but by the end it sort of grew on us. Though ageing, it has plenty of character. The place is set among meandering gardens and ponds. Dining in was a little expensive as were the drinks, compared to the local eateries. Chaweng is about a 5 minute shuttle ride away or a 25 minute walk - we chose to walk most of the time as there are a lot of interesting things to see on the way. By the way I am 71 and my wife is 66 - just be very aware of the traffic, they use both sides of the road in either direction no matter which way they are going. However we think 7 days was probably a bit long a stay here.

Place was great. First checked into our room and felt a little disappointed with it. Paid a lot of money for Thailand and the room was a little scuffed up and was not what we were expecting coming off the other places we stayed in Thailand. I came back to the front desk as told Nung about it and she upgraded us to a villa and it was A LOT better. So thank you so much for that. It made the last three days of the trip great. The staff was also super friendly and helpful. Also took the cooking class with Chef Paula and it was awesome!

The hotel in general , especially the rooms, are run down and very tired.
I was upgraded to a room with a very uncomfortable (old) mattress and the shower was a hand shower only over a 70s style Jacuzzi bath :)
Unfortunately not a good experience at all.

Loved this place. Right on the beach. Great pool. Beautiful rooms. Even got a free upgrade. Love the swim up bar, two happy hours a day. Staff were just lovely. A bit out of town but a shuttle a few times a day to get you in so no dramas there. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is located in the heart of koh Samui (all main attraction), I was travelling by myself and the staff was just great!
Big thank you to '99', 'chen'. 'cha cha' for welcoming me, they were very caring and friendly. Pool and breakfast were great!

Don't bother spending so much money here..

Not so good. Staff wasn't friendly. Bell boys were missing at main concierege desk. Buggy drivers wouldn't turn up. Tried to arrange a meeting with Mr. Jeff to voice my opinion the receptionists didn't communicate the message ahead. Be ready for insects as the villas are not so clean. Pond flowing outside the villa is contaminated with plastic bags/ junk thrown there by some filthy guests. The only guy who really works hard in this hotel is the security guard at the main entrance who always set the main road free for entry and exit of our vehicles. Staff seems to be extremely demotivated and the top management is evidently disconnected from reality.

Expensive and poor beach

We were staying at a different region of the island which was so quiet so we decided to move closer to the civilization that's why we pick this hotel.

It was a disappointment because photos of the pool and facilities were way too much photoshopped and doesn't reflect the reality. Pool is very small , closes at 7pm. Beach is one of the worst in the island.

Hotel is expensive for what you get in return.

I booked an ocean view apartment but I had to step on a chair to see it........

The hotel staff is as nice as in the island, they upgraded me to a suit but the room balcony didn't close tight so there was a little gap for mosquitos to sneak in !
If you just want to park your belongings and go for excursions or you don't care about beach , facilities , pool or money you pay but just want to close to be centre then you can consider this hotel I d suggest to look elsewhere otherwise .

Really excellent resort overall that we thoroughly enjoyed. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great beach, pool and grounds. Close enough to the main Chaweng Beach area to easily get to, but far enough removed that it was a quiet getaway.

Great location, great views

As soon as i came to nora beach my room was not ready, i was upgraded straight away. Fair enough this was only for 2 days but i was still chuffed with the gesture.
The hotel grounds are beautiful with the beach just by the pool.
Chewang main strip is only 5 minutes away with the hotel providing a free shuttle service in the day & a small fee at night.
Travelling around thailand koh samui won for me and i believe the hotel had a lot to do with that.

Amazing hotel, location and staff

We stayed for 2 weeks at Nora beach and absolutely loved it.
Great location, friendly staff.
Very peaceful and quiet and only a short ride from the heart of chaweng.
great restaurants in walking distance.

We had a great time at Nora Beach, the hotel is brilliant. Our one issue was that we had paid around $ 250 for a compulsory new years eve dinner, when we attended the dinner our names were not on the list and there was no table for us, we reported this to reception and asked for a refund for the dinner. Although the staff mentioned that we will be refunded for the dinner this has not yet happened.

Fabulous hotel, good location, courteous staff...

Stayed there for 4 days with wife and a 2 year old. We arrived almost 3 hours ahead of the check-in time, but was accommodated immediately. Check-in process was smooth. All the amenities in the room worked well throughout those 4 days.
Location of the hotel is great, just 5 mins drive away from the Chaweng area. They also offer a few complementary pick-ups and drop-offs to Chaweng.
Restaurant location on the beach is fabulous. The only grudge I have is limited choices for vegetarians like me, but then, it shouldn't matter to others.
The swimming pool is big and clean. Staff is nice and courteous.
Overall a very good experience. Worth staying again!

Close to airport, town and on the beach

Nice hotel, a lot of garbage on the beach, but that seems to be the case across all beaches on the island, not just the hotel. Also a lot of stairs and steeper walkways. This wasn't a problem for us, but something to keep in mind if you have more limited mobility.

Overall nice hotel

Overall this is a nice hotel with nice breakfast, good swimming pool and beautiful beach. The staff wasn't very nice and the room furniture needs to be replaced. The prices in the bar and restaurant are too expensive, and when we wanted to get a taxi to the city, the bellboy was bargaining with us and we didn't appreciate it at all.

Beachfront, quiet end away from party-ers

Great experience. The rooms are looking a little tired (cracks) and the housekeeping is only average - towels missing, facecloths missing, sheets only changed on day 7. Bathroom lovely, water pressure good, needs task lighting for girly things. The restaurant EXCELLENT, good buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner very reasonable and great quality.
The pool was immaculate, bar staff friendly and efficient. Overall the location combined with the customer service (which is exceptional - from the gateman, to the bellhops, to the front office staff, to the pool/restaurant staff), that will keep people coming back

Not worth the money!

The hotel was beautiful however it was not what I expected. Nora beach was located a ten min taxi ride from the centre and as it was up hill we spent alot of money getting to and from the centre most days. A Free shuttle bus from hotel was provided 3 times a day however it was first come first served and they were always full. The hotel was also on a hill so we continually had to walk up and down to our room which was a little annoying. This hotel would not suit guests who don't like to walk. The private beach was not as nice as the beach further down the coast and there were a lot of kids splashing and screaming in the pool. Not very relaxing for a couple. We spend most of our time further down the coast in a quieter nicer part of the beach. Our main issue was the cost of food and ammenities at the hotel especially the food, drinks and the shuttle bus. Food and drinks were almost a third cheaper down the beach even at happy hour. The hotel also charged 300 baht to get to the airport which is much more expensive than flagging a taxi on the street. This should be a free service based on the fact the hotel is less than 10 mins away and the hotel is so expensive anyway. Where is the value for money at this place!? The wifi dropped out continually and the signal on tv was also dodgy. Not what I expect for the price we paid. I wouldn't stay here again. Was not a relaxing time at all.

Ok but poor check in/out service

The hotel itself was comfortable enough for a short stay - the only downside is the very slow and cumbersome check in and check out process. Even though I provided a list of the items I had taken from the minibar the night before, the check out staff insisted on making me wait a further 10 minutes while their staff went to 'check'. I think this is a ridiculous procedure and wastes my time. My bill was total THB18K, however they were so preoccupied in finding out whether the THB20 I spent on crisps was indeed correct. Decent hotel but these silly processes make it a poor experience

First stop on our Honeymoon

We booked a beach side suite as part of our honeymoon trip. Hotel sevice was excellent, having a private pool and beach outside our room was perfect. Rooms are very comfortable.

Beautiful hotel, great location

I loved Nora Beach! My room was large and spacious, had a nicely upgraded bathroom with good toiletries. I loved that the property was right on the beach, but also had a pool and swim up pool bar for afternoon relaxing. Nora provides a shuttle to town so you can save money on taxis, was always on time and very nice. Breakfast buffet was AMAZING, tons of great options and excellent staff.
