Beautiful hotel in the heart of city center. If you’ve packed heavy (our trip was 30 days and included a stay in the artic so we had several large, heavy bags) beware there are steps going in. One suite option (the best one), required additional steps as well, so we settled on the remaining Jr Suite. Very, very dark (windows only halfway up) and lighting is so very poor. Spacious rooms (suite included living room and separate bedroom). Very uncomfortable chaise & chair; inadequate storage for longer stays. On the plus side, roomy bathroom, bed comfortable enough. Make sure your electronics are dual voltage. Breakfast buffet is wonderful, gorgeous restaurant.

Staff at the Bergen Bors were exceptional, always a smile and conversation. Above and beyond in customer service, room as you would expect only minor was plug in sink inoperable. Location superb as close to everything Bergen has to offer, would very much recommend.

Everything about this hotel was great. The location was walking distance to almost everything, the room was very clean and the breakfast had a lot of options. The best part of my stay however was the service. The desk employees were the best, incredibly helpful and always smiling. I was greeted everytime in either entered or exited the hotel. Great experience and when I make it back this will definitely be my hotel.

Let’s start with the down side. You have to drag your luggage up a few steps to get into the hotel. But who cares? This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location near everything you want to see and do. The breakfast is terrific with a huge selection. But what really made our stay is the service we received. Warm and friendly, every staff member made us feel welcome. I highly recommend staying at this property whenever you’re in Bergen.

Breakfast was great and rooms were very nice. If the management wants ideas for improvement the bathrooms really need 3 more hooks to hang toiletry bags and wet towels on. We had no place to hang up the the towels. Also it would be nice if there is a way to make counter space in the bathroom . It would help the ladies that need a place to put their make up. There wasnt any counter space in the bathroom.

A beautiful, smart and extremely well presented hotel with very helpful staff, a lovely buffet breakfast in the mornings and a fancy restaurant with very good food. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had a really nice stay. Would definitely recommend.

Service is good but if you need flexibility or understanding they’re poor. My daughter fell ill, and despite only having booked a two night stay with them the night before we were meant to arrive, and having stayed one day with them, they refused to refund the second night in this ‘exceptional’ case.
With holidays like Norway, where you need flexibility and understanding, Bergen Bors will not provide you with it - very disappointed with management as the front of house staff were actually very nice and said they would escalate. It’s a shame the hotel felt the need to refuse a £110 refund as I definitely won’t be returning again, and will advise friends that travel not to as well.

The Bergen Bors is a gorgeous hotel in a fabulous historical building. The dining room is really beautiful and the staff very nice.
My complaint was s with the rooms. Although I had a very large room, I think for the price they charge it definitely needs updating. Stained carpet in an almost $300 per night room is a total turn off. I would recommend you invest in new flooring preferably that is not carpeted !!

Possibly the best breakfast buffet I’ve ever had. The space breakfast hall is the former stock exchange of Norway and is quite a lovely spot.

Worth checking before you book. Room was a little dated, table with four chairs but no sofa. Odd. Shower brilliant, great bed, might make sense to flag up lack of a view.

The carpets are so stained & worn out everywhere. It looks dingy & dirty. The bathroom is the nicest room in the hotel. The room did not have enough lighting . The price we paid is a lot for a not so nice hotel!The staff were very helpful .The fridge wasn’t working. The hotel is very difficult to navigate. I should have taken a picture to prove what I said. This hotel was one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. Not only was it centrally located for everything we wanted to do in Bergen, the beauty of it was breathtaking. The murals which covered the entire dining room walls were very classic. In addition, the morning buffet was as extensive as one could ever expect. We spent two weeks traveling throughout Scandanavia, and although we stayed in many great hotels, this one was our favorite. A big shoutout to the entire staff, also. They all helped make this an experience we will never forget.

Great location, great breakfast buffet. The room furniture was a bit strange. Two low bedside shelves only a couple of inches off the floor. You had to crawl around on the floor to plug in phone chargers on the bottom of the shelf. Of course there was an outlet on the desk with 2 plug pirts and several USB ports. The bed was comfortable. You have to walk up some steps with your luggage to get to reception, then down some steps to get to the elevators. All in all, a great stay.
