We were unable to stay. Checked into the hotel, saw the room and immediately searched for a back up hotel. The room looked NOTHING like the stock pictures posed on hotels.com. The bathroom was extremely dirty, there was wallpaper rolling off of the walls, and the room was poorly lit. Additionally, when we arrived a side door was left propped wide open. We did not feel safe and I am quite disappointed that I payed for a room we were unable to stay at due to safety concerns.

For the price you pay, it's a quaint little hotel! It was clean, comfortable and quiet! The staff was friendly and checked in with us often. The breakfast didn't have any hot options other than waffles and bagels, but it was still a nice spread for being included in the price. This was our second stay, and it was overall a great experience!

Staff was VERY nice and easy to talk to/deal with including the manager who was there in the day when I checked in.
Honestly, my ONLY problem was with the dampness in both the hallway and the room. They need dehumidifiers at least on the main floor. The bed was really comfortable and I'm not a good sleeper - when I fell asleep, I slept REALLY well.

This place needs an inspection from the health department. Dirty with smell of mold and damp everywhere.

The location was super convenient!. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfy. I was in town for the SUNY Cortland graduation ceremony, as were most of the other guests. When leaving, they gave each of us a cute stuffed Red Dragon (the school mascot)!

The carpet in the hall is blue but so threadbare it is white before each door. The windows you can barely see out of they are so dirty. The wallpaper is falling off the wall with many dings and dents in the walls, lampshades. 5 pillows and one was yellowish. A huge rip in my curtains. rips on the chair at the desk. Hard to believe this place is 170 a night. Very disappointed to stay here.

GRIM Quality Inn..., big disappointment

After a long drive, wife was desperate for a toilet, told there were no public toilets, had to wait for me to check in. Assigned a second floor room in a nearly empty hotel, we elderly patrons had to climb the ratty stairs carrying our luggage (no elevator) in order for her to use the toilet. Threadbare carpet on stairs, dislodged corroded drain plate, damaged exit door, broken security lock with security advisory label reflecting door lock no longer in place, poorly lit hallways, tattered curtains. Echhhhh!

The bed was very nice, the room quiet and comfortable. \"Free Breakfast\" was a joke. Coffee and tea were OK.

The room served our needs, got a good light's sleep. But have they no pride?

We needed a place to stay before a ski day at Greek Peak. This hotel is close to the mountain and also several restaurants in Cortland. Property shows age but room was clean and warm on 3 degree night. Reasonable price for a king room and bed and pillows very comfortable!

This property needs a total facelift. We had to change rooms when we checked in because the toilet would not work.
I have never seen so little food put out at the breakfast buffet. Two yogurt, four muffins for example. The decaf coffee was dead cold. The staff member apologized and brewed another pot.

The staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

Old and not maintained

Our stay was for two nights from August 23-25, 2024. This inn is not quality. Almost everything needs to be upgraded. The condition of the room, while clean, was marginal. The wall paper is failing, there was mold in the bathroom, the remote for the TV didn't work, and the room was not refreshed and the bed remained unmade with the pillows moved to the chair when we returned to the room for our second night stay. I worked with the front desk to get a remote for the TV to work, we never did, but I got one where the one/off worked and I used the buttons on the side of the TV to change channels and volume. The mold in the bath would have been a non-starter, but we did not notice it until the second morning when we opened the shower curtain and so it was too late to request a different room. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Nick who was great. The breakfast is very basic and the only hot menu item was except waffles. They smelled very good in the morning, but we don't eat waffles. The hallway carpets are worn and our room door was weathered looking, even though it is an inside door. I would not recommend this place until it is remodeled.

Needs major renovations

This hotel needs a major renovation.The price that they charge is too much for the way the hotel looks and smells. They left dirty towels hanging behind the door from the previous client in the bathroom, the walls had stains dripping down, the room floor had gum stuck on the rug, the room was dingy, There is no elevators so you walk up and down the stairs luckily there is only 2 floors. The second floor smelled like weed and the room smelled like cigarettes the halls are poorly lit. The ice machine on the first floor was disqusting and dirty .At breakfast they had expired yogurt, there chairs are all ripped apart , their toaster wasnt working on one side. I wouldnt stay there again.. find another place. If i could i would get a refund..

The bed was super comfortable with that said the rooms could use some attention as far as being spiffed up. it was a safe comfortable place to stay and I had no problems, and a nice little continental breakfast in the morning. Place look run down. Inside was dark and gloomy, stairwells look like a place out of a horror film. Hall carpet was ripped & needs to be replaced. Room stunk, happy I had air freshener. Room carpet had a nasty feeling when you stepped on it, bed lumpy pillows should be garbage. Slept with the light on. See why they don’t offer refunds. Staff was very nice!

DEPORABLE, JUST PLAIN AWFUL. I WANT MY MONEY BACK

I have spent countless nights in hotels throughout the US and Europe. This was THE worst. Arriving, the key we were given was for a room that had not been made. The next room key did not work. There was no elevator, which wasn't that much of an inconvenience, BUT the conditions of the stairs were deplorable. To that point, the banister in the stairs is constructed in such a way, that large bolts on the outside of the banister snag your hand. On two occasions I thought I had cut myself. The room. The wallpaper was peeling. The bathroom door did not close. All ice machines were broken. Therefore, no ice. I can go on and on. Frankly, the hotel should be shut down and Hotels.com at the least should drop it! In fact, I want my money back. Had I not arrived until late in the day after a 250 mile drive, I'd have walked out and taken another hotel. Deplorable is the right word for this place. In fact, now that my vacation is over, I am giving serious consideration to contacting the NY's health department and the Cortland health department.

The rooms smell horrible, and nothing matches the picture because the pictures are modified with some app to look fresh. Breakfast options are added but make no sense because there is nothing really you will find to eat. This facility is not only old but also stuffy and smelly everywhere. It is not worth what they charge for each day of each room. I would never recommend anyone, nor will I visit this place anymore.

The staff was friendly.
The hotel is outdated. There is no elevator to get to the 2nd floor; the carpet is ripped in numerous places; there were water stains in the shower; the wallpaper is torn and peeling off in numerous places. The free breakfast was extremely limited and only included coffee, tea, orange juice, 2 cereals, yogurt, toast, packaged muffins, and a waffle maker. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

When we got into the room it was dirty stains on both bed sheets and the was someone else's towel on the back of the door. also, the toilet was clogged so we never got to use toilet after the first try. there were holes in the wall ripped wallpaper with masking tape over what was small holes in the wall. stains on the carpet and ac unit needed to be wiped down. lastly one of the beds was lopsided and you would almost roll off the bed when you slept which wasn't long. went down next day to check out and the manager apologized and offered to take care of me next time we weren't that hotel, but I stated I would never come back to that place again especially because it was still $150

It was conveniently located off I-81 and had a few surrounding good restaurants. However, the hotel itself was rundown badly. Bathroom ceiling was moldy and stained. Wallpaper peeling in bathroom and room. Bed was comfortable but not sure about what’s going on under that mattress cover. The staff was kinda busy amongst themselves and none of the doors locked that were supposed to be locked. Also parking lot was in bad shape. Just overall regret this choice. Oh and my keys kept deactivating and had to search for staff each time to reactivate but apparently it was due to my phone being near the keys. Probably would not stay again.

Choice Hotel Brand should look at this property, it needs a real update. Bathroom outdated, wallpaper coming off, walls damaged, furniture shabby. Breakfast was lacking, not even a muffin or danish for those of us who want minimal. I had stayed at Sleep Inn & Suites in Winchester VA. Smithfield NC, and Stoney Creek Va on this trip, all were updated and great at a much lesser cost than this hotel.
