The owner is down right rude and looks down at women. Treated me very poorly. I was not allowed any visitors. Entered my room without permission smelled my sheets when checked out . Told me he wanted a two hundred dollar deposit. Someone took a few lug nuts off my vehicle and loosened all the others . Did not keep up with snow removal. The heat was off in my room when I got there . The place is over run with drunks and drugged people living on social services. I have never run into a rider person in my life as the owner is . I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy let alone anyone I liked or loved . He should be stripped of the motel 6 brand and everyone staying there is in fear of this man and afraid to speak up . He puts out coffee but will not even spend a cent on plastic silverware. No paper towel or napkins even . Penny pinching is an understatement. No one is wants to be there and deal with this miserable situation. Camera so they watch every move and if someone goes to enter your room as a guest you get called by the front desk and told no visitors inside room or you will be kicked out without a refund . It’s more like a prison than a motel . I personally think you need to speak to the people that are living there and ask them . My friend was in a room and someone was in his room and turned down his heat and tv well he was naked in bed and he seen them leaving his room as it woke him when the owner was leaving his room . He is very upset at the thought .

The room was very basic, but clean. It was conveniently located for our purposes, and was quiet overnight. I appreciate the fact that there was no extra charge for our dog, and there were grassy areas to walk her. The bathroom was very tiny, but the shower was good. The room was good sized, had plenty of room for an extra chair to sit in (which it lacked). It met our needs for the night, and there was coffee in the lobby in the morning.

It is a basic hotel. No frills. It is not in an area you would want to walk in near dark. Just outside of Cortland and easy to get to. The TV didn't work so we were moved to another room with no hassle. The staff was pleasant and easy to work with.

Bathroom was very small and did not have any space even for a waste basket, but there was a nice sink console right outside with everything you would need, counter space, large mirror, hair dryer, and yes, a wastebasket, too. There was a squeak from the bottom of the bathroom door, easily fixable, but a little irritating at night. Bed was big and comfortable, the room was very spacious and clean, our stay was very good.

The two women at the front desk (one checked me in at night, the other checked me out in the morning) were both very nice, knew what they were doing, and very happy to offer recommendations of places to eat! The room was renovated and clean while the furniture was a bit worn. The hallway was a mess because it's being renovated. There were small bits of sheetrock, paint scrapings, etc. all over the floor. This should be disclosed during the reservation process.

Within 2 hrs. of checking in, found a bed bug on his sheet... took a picture of it, showed to front desk clerk, and requested a room change. He offered sincere apologies and asked us to kill the bug and leave in on the bed for mgmt. to see in the morning.

This property is very dated, the motel has transit ppl living there, a broken down car in the parking lot, cigarette butts all over the property, a/c unit sounded like a Boeing 747! I would never recommend this place to anyone! It was not worth the money. I will reach out to the manager to discuss the deplorable conditions of this hot mess.

The staff was amazing. They helped me with a couple of things that they didn't have to, and I was so thankful. The room is dated but it was clean. We stayed in the handicap room, and it had a shower seat and bars. That helped a lot. Even though we had a non-smoking room, the hall smelled like smoke, but our room didn't. If you don't need fancy and just need a place to sleep for a night or two, I would recommend Motel 6 of Cortland.

This is a convenient place to stop, easy-on and easy-off interstate 81. It’s a basic, no frills hotel, but always clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating.

The actual room was very clean but also as we suspected for a Motel 6, very plain. The bed was comfortable. As typical with a Motel 6 there is no closet, extra pillows, linens, or shampoo. Our room was recently updated. It had a new floor, new bathroom vanity, and sink. The only complaint about the actual room was that apparently this is a motel that still has smoking rooms as an option. The venting system into our bathroom obviously linked into everything else, so when you showered the bathroom stunk of old cigarettes! Even after the shower was off, the smell lingered. The hallway was fairly \"dated\" and unkept- old carpeting, musty smell, aged doors and dim lighting. The exterior of the building was clearly \"dated\". Despite the website saying \"24 hour desk service\", when we arrived (it was admittingly late) the door was locked to the office. I called the phone number with no response and there was no \"buzzer\" or notification button. Another guest let me into the office space after a period of time. It was about a 5 minute wait inside before someone came to tend to us. There isn't a whole bunch around the motel- a gas station, fire department, and a Dunkin. It was very close and convenient to route 81. If you need anything else, it would be 10 minute drive into town.

The fan motor on the heating and cooling unit was VERY noisey sounding like a jet engine when it ran making it very hard to fall asleep. The room also did not have any tissues which i thought would be a standard thing. It was an ok for a night stay and I was impressed with how clean it was but could use an update in the matresses also
