This is a hotel that needs some updates. The drain in the bathtub was very slow. The faucet had to be in a perfect position or would drip. The carpet was well worn and the walls had ripped wallpaper and the woodwork was well worn. The hallway had a strange odor. Breakfast was not a typical Choice hotel breakfast. There were very few choices and like many hotels if you are diabetic your choices are almost nil. At least they recognize they are not a 5 star hotel. On the back of every hotel door is the max price the hotel is allowed to charge for that room. I think this is the first hotel who had a price lower than $100 listed. Overall the hotel felt safe and the bed was clean and I got some sleep.

It was an okay stay and for the price point I can’t complain. Been to MUCH better and MUCH worse for the same price point. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was much more decent than I was expecting. An older hotel and has an odor. Rooms looked decent enough and our room didn’t smell poorly like the hallways. Air worked properly. Comforters were ragged with holes. Some towels had stains.

Upon entering the room, it smelled like wet dog. Spider webs all in corners of the ceilings. The ac unit, while worked and kept room cool, sounded like it was going to explode, making it hard to sleep. The shower did not drain properly, so you were in a pool of water taking a bath while taking a shower. Wifi was horrible, could never get the tv to work because of the connection dropping.

The staff was very nice and friendly.

Unfortunately the place needs maintenance done pretty bad.

This facility is in desperate need of updating and renovating. Our room had wallpaper peaking off the wall and cracks in the wall and ceiling. It was somewhat ominous that the hotel is on “Shart” street.

The room smelled like cat. The sheets and pillowcase were stained. The pillowcase looked like it had fresh makeup on it, but the linens hadn’t been changed. The wallpaper was peeling off and was hooked back on with a thumbtack. The staff gave me a key card out of the return key in without sanitizing it or anything just reset it. I was never given the Wi-Fi password. If I would’ve had any other option, I would’ve left.

We rented three rooms. There was blood on the duvet covers in my room, the carpets were filthy, the ceiling in my kids room had water damage and mold, all three rooms smelled of smoke.The shower in both mine and my kids room was broken and the drains didn’t work. The safety locks on two of the rooms were broken and useless. The third room was okay but still smelled heavily of smoke.

Room had holes carpet. The chest of drawers was broken apart at the bottom. Smoke detector in center of room on ceiling falling down. Shower was slightly warm. And either dumped water like a water fall or felt like needles. Free breakfast, If you can call it breakfast, day old bread cereal or waffle with orange flavored water. Flooring areas throughout whole place has broken down areas. The Outside doors don't work so can't scan card to get in. Room was clean, shower clean, clean water to shower and clean laundry (not replaced when gone for the day). I would not recommend to anyone. Very little staff. Which shows. Needs maintenance and up keep. Just a run down hotel.

Our handicap room was on the second floor with no elevator. The wallpaper in the room was peeling there was no glass plate in the microwave the bathroom door hit the toilet you couldn't get into the bathroom to use it when you walked into the property the carpeting was very old and worn out and dirty the swimming pool was cold

The first thing I saw when I opened the door was a roach scurrying across the floor so I grabbed a tissue to squish it. The carpet was gross and there were stains on the bedding. The desk chair was covered in some kind of animal hair. I decided we weren’t going to stay and risk bringing roaches home. I took the dead roach downstairs to show the front desk and explained why we leaving. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There is another Quality Inn in Mason that is MUCH nicer.

We went to the Bob Evans across the road. Went to service station for drinks. Soda machines empty on location. Lots of cobwebs even in the no coffee lobby. I liked that my room was clean but it was in need of repairs. Curtains full of holes, plaster peeling in the bathroom. I went to the breakfast area (8pm) to grab som cream and sugar for my coffee. It was in need of cleaning. Waffle maker and counter still dirty. Not impressed. I most likely won’t stay there again. However the price was cheap enough. That I really liked.

We had to move rooms because the door stopped reading the key cards. Our second room some of the lights didn't work, the curtains were short so people can see in the room. My son tried to take a shower and the water never got hot. There was what looked like mold growing in the hallway. The Ice machine didn't work the breakfast was all sugar and carbs no real healthy options. I could keep going but there's no point.

Prise good, staff good, friendly, but we get bad room on 1 floor ear were stinky, TV don’t work, door in closet broken, Carpet not clean. We ask change room. Get room on 2 floor. Better, clean, ear better (do not stinky). We stay 2 nights, room newer extra cleaned. Breakfast so-so. Mashing with juice dirty. Outside enter much liken water from pipe (it is looks bad and stinky). But pool good, clean. So, sorry, we will never stay again in this hotel

This hotel has no elevator. The stairwell smelled so bad we had to hold our breath. The pool seemed to have only a single working light. The ice machine on the second floor was broken. Our first room had one dirty comforter and one with a large hole. The wallpaper was peeling from the wall and there was clearly mold behind it. We asked to move to a different room and were accommodated quickly. The second room seemed better. The breakfast was a pretty poor selection. Waffles, yes, but no other hot food and no bagles. Because of our concerns overall regarding cleanliness we chose to eat elsewhere

Dirty, mildew smell in the halls and room, room was not clean by any standard, shower didn't work, TV only works on one channel and no volume up or down, microwave had splattered food inside, mold on ceiling above the bed, had no choice but to stay the night, soap dish had a new bar of soap in a wrapper, when I picked it up it was on top of a gooey mess of old soap.I will sleep in my car and use a gas station bathroom before I would stay in this place again.

Don't even get what you pay for

Second time staying here and it was even worse this time than the last.. The room I was in this time was soaking wet from some type of leak. The walls were crumbling, everything was wet, smelled like mold and had mold visible. Everything you touched was damp even the bed sheets. I didn't even hardly bring anything inside because the extra set of clothes I brought in was damp when I put them on after my shower after sitting on the bed for 15 minutes. The food choices was very limited and the coffee from the breakfast was all coffee grounds at the bottom of my cup.. I honestly used the gym and pool last time but this time the were so gross I couldn't.
I am not having breathing issues since I left because of the mold/mildewy room. It may be a cheaper room but, you don't get what you pay for not even in the slightest.

I had booked a handicap accessible room. They did not give me a handicap accessible room. Instead, they gave me a room on the second floor. Which would have been fine but there was no elevators. So I had to haul myself with my bad foot up a flight of stairs. The room was clean but that's about the only positive thing I can say about it. The curtains were damaged with holes in them so the parking lot lights shined into my room all night long. On my way to check out there was a puddle of water in the floor about 8 ft long by 3 ft wide. They had put a towel down to soak it up but the towel was completely soaked and no one was attempting to mop it up or anything

The front desk person was very friendly and The room was fine. It was clean, the water pressure and temp were good, beds were comfortable. However, the overall property is in poor shape. I walked toe property and couldn't find an elevator even though our room was on the 2nd floor. The halls smelled like weed. The restroom off the lobby was out of service, the weight room was missing equipment (some of the free weights). The breakfast bar was very underwhelming so I only had a coffe and an apple.

The electricals in the room looked as if they had been done by a plumber...the TV was unplugged, and looking at the outlet, i wasn't sure if it was safe to plug it in. The room the one light wouldn’t work. The wallpaper was peeling on one wall and the room had a strong odor of urine. Otherwise, it was a reasonable price for what it was. The breakfast was same as most hotels. We enjoyed the gym and pool both at this hotel and had a great time with those. We did stay more than one night so the lack of housekeeping during your stay was noticeable. But, otherwise I wouldn’t say this isn’t a bad place to spend a night on the road. The fellows at the desk were always very nice!

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms on the first floor smelled like mold and mildew. Because of my allergies I asked to be moved to another room. That room also had a dusty, dank smell. I had to sleep with a sheet over my head so that I didn’t smell the odor. There were holes punched in the closet door and wood ripped off the bottom of the entertainment center. The breakfast was meager. There were a few English muffins, a couple of yogurts and four five small muffins. If you plan to stay at this hotel, please check your room thoroughly before checking in. My mom and I checked out the very next morning. We were charged a fee for leaving early. I thought this was ridiculous since it was not our fault the accommodations were not adequate.

They had a card listed that wasn’t mine. No elevator to the 2nd floor so we had to carry all our bags up! There was blood smeared on the door to our floor. Stairwell smells like dirty diapers. The lock was broken on our door inside the room. No remote for the tv. Lights were missing switches so we couldn’t even turn them on. . It was less than quality for sure.

You cannot beat this property for the price. It was clean and everything worked it was just a little old but the upkeep was good. It was in a wonderful location. Everything was so close by restaurants, Starbucks, stores, pharmacy, gas station. Will go back!

It was moldy, dirty, broken cabinets, holes in carpet, smelly. The breakfast area was discussing. Microwave was gross, a gallon of milk was on the counter, warm, which everyone touches that handle. Coffee was cold. One yougart. Toast and bagels almost empty. No waffle mix and the entire counters were dirty. Trash can was full. No attendant around. This was only 7:45. Shampoos etc. were half used I actually would like a refund for the two rooms I rented. The health department would probably shut this hotel down.

This was by far the poorest property I have stayed at in many years. All out side doors had their key scans busted so anyone could just walk in. The entire facility smelled like a cigar bar.
