We booked 20min prior to arrival for a 1 night stay. Pictures were deceiving. Upon arrival it was run down, dirty and it felt unsafe. After traveling all day, we decided to drive further to a safer and cleaner hotel. We were denied a refund as well. DO NOT recommend staying here.

Bed sheets are too old, need upgrade.

The shower in my room was not sprinkling well.

There was some noise from people talking loud right behind my door late at night and moving car noise all day just because the hotel is across a Main Street.

No fridge/microwave in room. The hotel has only one microwave in the lobby which needs cleaning.

The hotel is on a busy road and there is no sound barrier for the traffic, so it was very noisy all day/night. The bathroom in the room had a fan that was very loud and turned on/off by itself at weird times. The toilet was not fastened to the ground properly and there was a hole in the wall behind the toilet. The floor was very uneven in the room, felt very awkward moving around.

PArking was fairly easy, no issues there. Area is a little sketchy. AC worked. Half of the lamps in the room did not have any lightbulbs, the mini fridge was set to freezing when I arrived, and the TV was basically unusable for the entire week long stay. Still, overall room was decent, and staff were available to help when I needed it.

We booked the property about an hour before we arrived. When we saw the property (around 7:00 pm) there wasn't a single car in the lot. Much more concerning was a group of about 8 men loitering in the parking lot. My husband and I were in separate cars and we drove past, unwilling to even pull in the parking lot. No way would we have stayed there...very unsafe. Unfortunately, I notified them immediately that we wanted to cancel our reservation, but they would not. Not happy, but wasn't going to risk our safety.

This hotel is absolutely horrendous!!
The minute I pulled up to the door, I noticed the poorly maintain property with all the sketchy people outside.
Inside my room the faucet was shaking loose ,toilet was leaking on the floor and floors were extremely dirty. I pulled a pubic hair out from the hotel towels and then decided not to shower .
The floor air conditioner was making a misty raw septic smell .
The TV did not work properly and the curtains were broken. All night people were smoking cigarettes outside of my door and slamming doors . The next morning i spoke to management 2 Indian gentlemen of my displeasure with the hotel .
This was the worst of the worst !!

First room had a bed that had nasty stains and money in the bed and a broken lock then the second room had cigarette butts behind the lamp, another lamp was broke and had ants all over it and the table. There were also stains on the bedding and spiders and spider webs above curtain

From 7:30 pm-1:30 am people above me were making constant noise, cleaning for this place was awful ( wiped water off the floor and the towel turned black ) shower wasn’t great, bathroom was smaller than I thought, also there was no trash can in the bathroom? Also, the bed was the most uncomfortable thing to every exist on this planet, I slept so bad, never again will I stay at this hotel.

This hotel is gross! The floor of my room was sticky. I tried to clean it and came up with a black cloth. There was dirt and hair in the bathtub. The bed wasn't fully prepped, the a/c unit was dismantled, and didn't work. There were no tissues in the room and no trashcan. I didn't stay. I waited in the lobby for 30 min to speak to a desk clerk who never showed. I finally just left.

So many things were broken or not working properly from lights flickering to no remote control device to be found to soap dispensers broken or leaking the refrigerator wouldn’t close the room was filthy couldn’t use tub because there were bugs in it and soap all over it heater was difficult to control and was very loud when it kicked on room was dirty and un kept won’t stay here again not sure why it got good ratings from others

It was okay for just a cheap overnight, but definitely a little iffy. It's in an odd place and people were very noisy all night. The room smelled like old cigarettes and only one bed had a comforter, which had holes in it.
Overall the room seemed clean, but there were cigarette burns on the tub.

I have several pictures to verify but this room is beyond reproach. The lock on my door is held together with tape. And the top lock has nothing to anchor to. I slept with a chair against the door because I felt unsafe.

There’s a significant breeze coming in because the door wont properly seal and the heater is broken. Both the display on the heater is broken and the unit itself will not turn on and I was freezing. I took sheets off the other bed to stay warm.

There are also hairs everywhere and a dead bug on the floor. There is still trash from a previous occupant in the trash and no liner.

This room is unsafe and uncomfortable and unclean and I want a refund.

I give this review with a grain of salt. The rooms are super cheap. In fact, we got two rooms cheaper than a single room at most hotels.

We are not sure if our rooms were cleaned before we got in them. They weren't gross, just things like: hair in the shower, the TVs left on, stains in the sink, no towels, etc.

As we walked to our room we noticed several other rooms with drapes drawn and left a mess. We assumed people were staying in them. However, they looked exactly the same the morning we left. It look like this was a nice hotel a few years ago and nothing is being done to maintain the property.

Again super cheap, so we didn't expect much. Sadly, we were still disappointed.

The surrounding area is not very attractive. But it's only a short drive to good food and city event spaces as well as the University of Dayton.

The location is convenient to Kettering, but the rooms are bare-bones furnished.
During the time I stayed the room entry system constantly malfunctioned, so that each day was an adventure in whether or not I would get into my room. The maintenance staff was completely incompetent.

Took 4 times back and forth to get a keycard to open the room. Only two towels in the room. No hand soap. I had to go buy some. Asked the hotel and they had none. I tried to find another hotel but I was stuck. Everything booked. I asked for more towels she gave me one hand and bath towel. The floor hadn’t been swept in days.
The worst part had to be when I was laying in bed on Saturday 9/21/24 at 11pm and worked up to pounding on the door. I looked out the peep hole and it was an employee from the front desk. He said I needed to go now to the front desk and show my ID. Because no one was assigned to this room. It made no sense. I called the front desk and said I was in bed and woken up like that. Very scary. I asked why would I need to come down there and he had no reason. I’m planning on contacting Red Roof inn HQ. Very very disappointing!

If you are a UD parent do not stay here! It was disgusting! The room was gross, the towels looked dirty and the bathroom was filthy. There was a disgusting odor in our room from the industrial park located behind the motel.
Uber drivers didn't want to pick us up or drop us off at this location. Our driver told us that this location is not a safe area.

Lacking basic amenities

While the facility is supposed to be smoke-free, our room smelled of cigarettes. Our room also lacked basic amenities. There was no bathmat, no hand soap or soap of any kind in the room. I went to the front desk and was told they were still installing dispensers and was handed a cup of hand soap and a cup of shampoo. This was the closest available motel to UD so we roughed it for a night. Won't be doing that again.

The staff was very unpleasant. They were not kind about my service animal. The AC was very weak and noisy, but we couldn't change rooms without fees. We could not get an accessible room for our handicap child. The furniture was stained and the bathtub didn't drain well. The carpet was wet in some places, we had to put towels down. The staff was entirely unsympathetic, offering no accommodations or discounts for the discomfort. Frankly they were too busy hanging out in the parking lot smoking weed with their friends to care about their guests. In addition it was a terrible location, VERY VERY noisy.

It started at check-in. There were at least 6 people who came in with complaints about their rooms--weird things in drawers, key cards not working (a big complaint, and the same issue I had), no towels or toilet paper, etc. I was informed that the cable only worked sporadically, if at all. It wasn't even hooked up in my room, making the tv completely unusable. I was promised a discount, which didn't materialize. The property was in terrible shape. They had no access to the rooms to the back of the property, meaning that you either had to go back onto the main road, turn onto another road, and drive into a back driveway, or go though the parking lot of a closed business which was nothing but potholes. Who does that? My room was dirty (once I got in it), the floors were filthy, as well as many of the surfaces. Why did I stay? Well, the Dayton Air Show was that weekend, and every hotel was booked and the prices were ridiculous. My air conditioner had died, and I couldn't get anyone out to fix it over the weekend in a heatwave. I appreciate the price, but the lot around the motel wasn't mowed and looked really bad, the sidewalks had trash on them, and the amount of pot being smoked in public areas was wild. The only saving grace was that the air conditioning worked well, and the bed was big and clean. Just don't walk barefoot. Ever.

Upon arriving we were greeted by an unfriendly clerk who proceeded to tell us that we were too early, rooms would not be available until after 3:00 and if we checked in before that we would have to pay an early check in fee. We said we would wait. She then said that their cable tv’s did not work, had not worked for two weeks and they didn’t know when they would work. I stayed that should have been disclosed if it had been going on so long. She said it was disclosed on the site. It was not. Room was gross. Crummy pillows, thin towels and shabby old furniture. Shower had no pressure. We also didn’t like all the shady characters just “hanging out” in front and around the hotel. I think people live there full time. We ended up not staying there after we saw the condition of the room. To be honest, we didn’t feel safe there. I’m surprised Hotels.com even allows it to be advertised on their site. It’s a flop house.
