Front desk people so helpful. Arrived on l
early flight, they found us a room to check into so we didn't have to wait. They also were able to let us use the garage parking spot before 3p and even after we checked out as it was available(they rent about 3 spots in a garage about 2 blocks away). Note-if you want to rent one of their parking spots make sure to tell them ahead. Also, after 11am the street is pedestrian only so if you arrive after that and have lots or big luggage it could be a pain to ripl them on the hilly cobblestone streets. The indoor pool is beautiful. They put fruit, pastries and a couple free bottles of drink in the minifridge for you. Great breakfast. Our only 'issue' is that every am we wanted to sit on the outside patio for breakfast and we kept being discouraged to do so by staff.

Centrally located oasis with lovely pool, bar and restaurant. Arrived early and we were accommodated with a ready room, and shuttle arranged to take us very efficiently to the airport day of our departure (only a 10-15 min drive away). Staff very professional - even down to tour of the included breakfast, which included hot food options and a beautiful spread of options. Would recommend!

I absolutely loved my stay here! The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a welcoming and amazing stay, and even though my flight times changes three times, they still managed to get me a ride to the hotel promptly on my airport arrival. The food was great, it was so clean, and little surprising touches to my stay that made me feel like royalty. I will 100% stay here again!

The staff was amazing. Joao was so helpful with our bags, helping with parking etc. We were treated so well! The breakfast is amazing with made to order eggs, fruit, local cheese etc. We highly recommend 9 dots. The hotel is beautiful and relaxing! 😎

What a fantastic hotel. Situated in the heart of the city making it easy to navigate.

Pedro and his staff cannot be more helpful, always with a smile and genuinely interested in making sure you get the most from your stay.

The breakfast was wonderful, I cannot tell you much about the selection as on the 1st morning I had the Eggs Benedict, then the second day etc etc, that's how good they were.

The pool has a wonderful serene feel to it and we were lucky to have it to ourselves.

If you are planning any time in Ponta Delgada I can highly recommend this hotel.

This is a very nice hotel. The location is excellent. Everyone we interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool and spa are beautiful. We loved the our rooms outdoor patio. Everything is top notch. We had an early flight, needed a taxi ride. Front desk staff were kind enough to take us to the airport. This was greatly appreciated. We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location for exploring Ponta Delgada. We were very comfortable in our room with the added luxury of a small terrace with climbing vines for reading and sitting in the sun. The breakfast was wonderful which included many options, all delicious. The restaurant and cafe were great also. The grotto pool and sauna were a nice option after hiking and a well designed experience for relaxation. The hotel serves as an art gallery and we enjoyed learning about local artists. The staff were great!

Fantastic hotel. Great location for walking to the harbor and shopping and restaurants, friendly staff, beautiful decor, and excellent breakfasts. Note that no cars are allowed on street where they are located, but there is parking nearby.

The hotel was well kept; however, the rooms were oddly configured and had limited space for storing personal items (i.e., no bureaus, very small closets, and no vanity space in some of the bathrooms). The daily snacks were a nice touch and delicious. We traveled with a 9 yr old, and options for children at the hotel were very limited. There are restrictions on pool usage for children which was not advertised. The staff were hit or miss. Restaurant staff were knowledgeable and friendly; however, the front desk staff appeared annoyed when we asked for recommendations and were limited in options they did recommend. The exception to this was Vicente and one other woman (we didn’t get her name, but she had a lip piercing). Those two were extremely helpful and kind. Overall, the hotel was conveniently located and a good option for couples. It really should be advertised as an adult’s only option.

Modern, newer, central hotel in a pedestrian only street. So be aware you will have to walk a short distance with your luggage. We parked in a small public lot a 5 minute walk up a hill (parking is free on weekends). Beds are comfortable. I booked a standard room which is not that big but fine for a short stay. Stayed one night at the beginning of our trip to Sao Miguel and then 2 nights at the end. Had a terrace the first time and no terrace the second time. Preferred having the terrace room but we didn’t have a chance to use it the first stay. Second time we stayed, the bathroom had less counter space (not enough for two people’s toiletries) and the AC was not working. We asked them to take a look and they said they fixed but I don’t think it was really working - or well. Not a huge problem as it was cooler at night so we opened the window (no screens) all night to allow cool air inside. But I would have preferred to keep it closed (for noise - I’m a light sleeper). breakfast was good with a sufficient selection of cheeses and meats, pastries, breads and juices. You could also choose from a small à la carte menu - eggs, eggs Benedict (delicious), pancakes (no maple syrup). You may have been able to order more than one item, but the eggs Benedict (one egg) was enough for me along with the buffet items. We also used the indoor pool which looks really cool and has some interesting features (buttons with jets in the corners) but for an indoor pool it should be warmer.

We had an amazing stay at the NINE DOTS and would highly recommend it to prospective travellers to Points Delgada. Location is central and the room and amenities are amazing! The free breakfast was absolutely incredible - not your typical continental breakfast. And the staff went above and beyond to make our stay a truly relaxing experience - from booking our excursions, to arranging our airport shuttle, to accommodating a late checkout, the folks at NINE DOTS truly made it a wonderful experience. If I had more than two thumbs, I will give them all the thumbs up!

We loved our stay! We went for our honeymoon. This hotel is in a fantastic location. Very walkable, we did two day tours and did not feel like we missed out with not renting a car. The pool and sauna were lovely, the breakfast was always good! We ate at the bar one night and the food was also great!

If you come to Ponta Delgada, you have to stay at the Nine Dots Boutique Hotel. From the pristine rooms, the kind, friendly and helpful staff to the amazing made to order breakfast (the eggs Benny are a must), you will be so happy you chose this hotel. This is our second time here and we will be back! Get a message from Bianca - it was the most relaxing experience and make sure you enjoy the spa; it’s incredible.

This was my second time staying at Nine Dots, and it was just as wonderful as the first! I booked a standard room for a shorter stay, and the room met my needs. What keeps me coming back is the incredibly friendly staff — they truly make you feel at home. I arranged an airport pickup, and Hugo greeted me with a warm, friendly smile. When I arrived at the hotel, all the staff welcomed me with open arms, as if I had returned home again. A special shout-out to Gonçalo and João for their kindness and hospitality! Very cute boutique hotel! I really appreciated the art and little touches throughout. All the staff were super friendly, warm, and welcoming! Communication was prompt—the hotel reached out right after I made my reservation to confirm my ETA and ask if I needed to book a shuttle.

Shout-out to the front desk team, especially Vincente and João, for their excellent recommendations on places to eat and visit, and for making accommodations to store my luggage and insulin. A special thank you as well to Màrcia and the restaurant staff for their warm interactions and great service!

I will definitely be staying here again! Conveniently located within walking distance of Ponta Delgada’s main attractions. I appreciated the warm hospitality of this hotel!

Perfect city location with amazing food and service! Steps from great dining, nightlife, and even a live classical concert during our stay. Steep prices in the summer season, kind staff!

This hotel has a lot going for it, being centrally located in Ponta Delgada. But, paying almost US$500 a night, we were very disappointed with the room we got the first night. However, the GM Pedro gave us a grant room for the next night. His kindness and the wonderful staff made us feel much more at home in this art hotel, where we ended up feeling very pampered

Charming and modern hotel right in downtown Ponta Delgada - very friendly and resourceful staff with a strong service focus. Spa was a great touch for stays and enjoyed terrific breakfast and the stylish bar for dinner and drinks. Highly recommend as jumping off point for San Miguel tours, close to great dining options, shopping and art scene. Well-designed and comfortable rooms - great for solo or friend stay.

Wonderful stay. On arrival we got an upgrade. The staff was accommodating, helpful and friendly. We were centrally located to many stores and restaurants and could get a bite or cocktail right out front of our room. Breakfast was included and quite delicious! They even delivered a cake and sparkling wine for my bday. Highly recommend!

Lovely stay at the Nine dots Art Boutique

We were so happy that we stayed at nine dots. It is a small intimate boutique hotel located in the center of Ponta Delgada. The hotel was lovely as it was only a year old and was totally charming. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating.
The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant itself was where we had one of the best meals. The staff provided snacks and water and the hotel pool was lovely. Highly recommend this hotel

The location of the hotel was in the middle of Ponta Delgada which was very beneficial. The facilities in the hotel were very good. Service and food in the restaurant and bar were also very good. The room and its facilities was good too, our only whinge was the time taken for hot water to arrive after the tap was turned on. The staff were excellent and friendly.

I missed my flight and booked the hotel at the last minute. I was not a happy camper. The hotel sent up a sweet and fruit to my room. They turned my day around and I had the most marvelous stay. The restaurant is terrific as well.

Good central location with walking access to all the main attractions. Street is traffic free from 11am-7pm which means a short walk from the taxi/transport drop-off if you arrive between those hours. Excellent customer service at reception and though small, the bar and dining area are convivial and comfortable. Our room upgrade was one of the 3 rooms with a large terrace ideal for alfresco driniking/dining

From the minute, I walked in the door. I felt welcome. It’s a small boutique hotel with fantastic service, comfortable rooms. I loved my two stays at Nine Dots! It is a gorgeous boutique hotel in the heart of Ponta Delgada. The pool and steam room a real oasis and fabulous. The rooms spacious and lovely. The staff so nice and helpful. I appreciated a room upgrade on one of my stays and on the other that I was able to check in early at 7a on my next stay. Also breakfast buffet was convenient and very good. I look forward to returning again to this gem of a hotel!
