The positives. The room was modern and clean. The negatives:
- The room was tiny.
- The bathroom would win an award for the tiniest in Europe. First time having to sit on the loo at a 45degree angle 🙄😝. The bathroom (see photo) measures 2.8m x 1 m to accommodate shower, sink and toilet.
- Google maps \"you have reached your destination \" was 150m wrong. Spent 25 mins wandering around to find the place.

Beach front location in quiet village. Lots of lovely places to eat. Right on the edge of a national park. Some very good walks. Beach Is a mix of pebbles and sand. Plenty of sun loungers for rent if needs be.

We enjoyed this room on the beachfront! The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The windows look directly onto the beach but sadly have a yellow tint that make it difficult to see the blue sky. Otherwise a nice place, very convenient.

La Caleta Bay stay

Rooms feel like you are on a cruise, but they work. We paid for rooms with sea views but were told we rented the last 2 rooms with alley views. That is probably a Hotels.com issue, but still we paid for something we did not get. Would definitely stay here again.

Love this property and the location is directly at the beach, can't get better than that. Breakfast was simple but fresh and sufficient!

We got the smallest room they have which served us well. However, if you have bigger pieces of luggage make sure to book the bigger room. Otherwise, we thought it was a very comfortable, clean and new room.

Will most defintiely stay here if near the Nerja area!!

A great little find!

This is a fabulous little place, and the seaview rooms feel as though you are actually lying on the beach.Spacious room with the added advantage of having a small kitchen area was ideal - and spotless. Nice welcoming touches of drinks and snacks - and tea and coffee available all day.

Very friendly staff welcome us. I have two kids room big for 4 with 4 beds. Just across the beach. In the room everything including some chocolate for the kid. Juice and proceco for adults.

The friendly staff recommended activity for the kid and we rent a Beach bed to spent the hole day on the beach

Área spectacular no a lot of Turistas very safe for kids. Great local restaurant.

La Calleta Bay, a jewel in the crown

From the moment we arrived at La Calleta Bay we were blown over by this fabulous little hotel, it may be small in size but it gives big in every other way. Check in was easy and made even more pleasant by a complimentary glass of fizz. We were given a room upgrade and wow what a fabulous room it was, so much space, amazing sea views and a great balcony to sit and watch the sunset. The bathroom offered all the little extras you would expect to find in a 5* hotel and like the bedroom it was spotlessly clean. There are no drink making facilities in the room but we were able to help ourselves to hot drinks all day, along with the complimentary wine and nibbles that are available in reception. I cannot fault this hotel, it far exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend it. Thank you to all the team for their exceptionally friendly service, absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them, my only regret is that we didn't stay longer !!

Room was fine but tiny. Bathroom was modern but tiny. I needed to sit at an angle in the toilet which is ridiculous. Not sure if other rooms in the hotel are like this. Only saw ours.

Calm, quiet, peaceful, NO PARTIES :))))!!!

This area is calm and quiet, - ideal for people who want to relax without parties around. The hotel staff was very friendly, the hotel is very small and one gets a lot of friendly attention from the staff. The room was nice with a large balcony and sea view.

Very comfortable hotel dedicated to your service.

We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We wanted to be someplace quiet but close to some of the tourist spots that we had read about - The Alhambra, Picasso Museum in particular. We also like walking and there are some good, but not challenging places nearby at Cerro-Gordo as well as the Sierra Nevada. The staff were responsive to all our needs and made our stay something special.

Unfortunately no airconditioning . The hotels was full so could not be moved to another room. Engineer called out but did not fix the problem until our last day. The staff were very apologetic and gave us a bottle of cava and paid for sun lounge on the beach for one day. Apart from that no offer of compensation even though it s now a legal requirement in Spain to have airconditioning.Staff very friendly .

Perfect for quiet breakaway

No restaurant, pool or bar but that's not a criticism; it's a plus! Nice quiet environment. Spend the extra and get the sea view. Great to spend the early morning/evening before going out relaxing on the balcony with a complimentary tea, coffee or glass of wine. Refrigerator restocked every day for free with wine, juices, water and chocolate. Wine, tea and coffee available in foyer all day with a nice seating area outside. Rooms are modern, small but adequate and bathroom has all necessary supplies. Bar and two restaurants in same block are owned by same owner as hotel so breakfast served in one of them and evening discount available in both. Excellent friendly and efficient staff, particularly the daytime receptionists Rosa and Lourdes. We'd been trying to book tickets to the Alhambra from outside Spain and even when we arrived but experienced difficulty with the booking website. Mentioned it to Rosa and within 10 minutes she had us confirmed tickets on our day of choice. Spain is a nightmare for parking at the best of times but on a busy beach front the hotel only has saved spaces for 6-8 small cars immediately outside. Spaces on the other side of the road, once allocated to the hotel are now part of 10am - 10pm zone parking. Overspill parking available for free at a contract car park 5 minutes walk from hotel but beware if you have an early start because it is locked 2am to 9am. We got round that by parking overspill to 10pm then moving it into the zone parking opposite.

Fabulous Hotel, Great relaxing resort

Our stay was totally enjoyable, relaxing. The Manager/staff were so friendly, kind, approachable and helpful. The hotel was very modern very clean a total pleasure. The restaurant/food was super, I wouldn't mind some of their recipes. The location was perfect being adjacent to the beach, and we did much walking. We also used the local bus service to several resorts but Herradura was/is our favourite as it is unspoilt and not over commercialised. We would certainly recommend this hotel/resort.

Lovely hotel, right on the beach!

Just returned from a great few days based at this hotel. It is a very small place - probably 20 rooms. The staff were amazingly helpful - and the extras provided are a real 'feel-good' factor. No tea/coffee in rooms but available in the foyer at all times - for us that was less clutter in the room! There is limited storage space for clothes but this is more that enough for a few days, or longer in the summer.
Fabulous views and right on the beach - a great place to wake up! The town feels like a place where the spanish holiday. Several restaurants and local shops cater for everything you need. There appears to be little in the way of nightlife but for those looking for a peaceful, slow-paced break... ideal. Just over an hour from Malaga and Granada by car this worked superbly for a fabulous ring time break.
The only downside was the fact that the weekend was the celebration on the patron saint - Saint Joseph. The funfair operating until 1 a.m. less that 100m away was a significant irritation, especially as we had a balcony room at the from of the hotel! As a consequence we stayed over in Granada after visiting the Alhambra Palace - an inspired idea as we were able to spend longer there as well.

we booked for 2 nights , we where given an upgrade to a super room . we decided to extend our stay and knew that we would be staying in a room to the rear which we had been shown , the room had not been cleaned but was soon done as soon as we told the receptionist . we where very pleased with out stay here and will certainly be back . we went to nerja first but found this area far superior .

Lovely beachfront hotel in quiet location

I stayed two nights -- had a super room with a lovely balcony overlooking the beach. The room was clean, a good size, had a clean and well appointed bathroom with good modern fixtures. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful (not all of them could understand English). The town of La Herradura is quiet and pleasant, a bit run down, but with good restaurants where lots of locals clearly like to eat. Great for a relaxing and quiet few days away from a busy life!

We stayed at La Caleta for 9 days and had a wonderful time. There were 3 of us plus a baby. The water is super clean and the beach not overcrowded. We swam everyday and went kayaking and just relaxed. At La Caleta, We stayed in room 213 which has a large terrace overlooking the beach and was fantastic for enjoying a glass of wine. There are great restaurants downstairs and all along the same street. The hotel offers free coffee and wine all day which was a lovely treat. Rosa and Eleazar and other staff were very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend! great experience!

Perfect gem in Almunecar

Absolute gem in Almunecar! Everyone at the hotel is super nice and friendly. Snacks and wine all day in lobby. Right on the beach and many restaurants close by. Absolutely loved my time at Caleta Bay and decided to stay and extra night since we had such a great time!

The clean contemporary designed interior & exterior is fabulous as is the Hotel position, just over the road from the sea. We were delighted that we chose La Caleta Bay, there is no where similar in La Herradura.

Positivo: Muy buen trato. La ubicación, justo frente al mar. La habitación está reformada, es amplia, con todo lo necesario.Y muy limpia.

Lo negativo: nos tocó la habitación 103, que esta en el hall de recepción, por lo que hay bastante bullicio y es difícil descansar más allá de las 8 de la mañana o en la hora de la siesta

Vue sur mer, parking sécurisé

Après un séjour d'une semaine en Andalousie, nous étions passés notre dernière nuit avec vue sur la mer.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la chambre avec vue sur la mer, nous avions laissé la fenêtre ouverte pour être bercés au son des vagues, après la fermeture des bars, mais ça aussi ça fait le charme de l'Espagne.
Nous avons apprécié que l'hôtel nous propose une plage de parking sécurisé à 2 minutes à pieds car devant l'hôtel c'était complet.
Je recommande vivement ce super hôtel.

La struttura è recente e ben tenuta, peccato per la camera esageratamente piccola che ci è stata assegnata (ci stava a malapena il letto matrimoniale ed un armadio…). Inoltre nei dintorni della struttura stanno effettuando dei lavori di ristrutturazione e la mattina alle 7:30 già si viene disturbati dal rumore.

Et dejligt ophold…16 dage. Fantastisk beliggenhed ned til stranden…med parkering lige foran. Heredura er et virkeligt dejligt sted St holde ferie. Vi medbragte stole som vi tog med på,stranden.Det var perfekt. Ligeledes havde vi cykler med, som fik lov til at stå i en mellemgang på hotellet…fornem service. Dejligt roligt og tæt på strandrestauranter mv.. desværre var der festuge da vi var på hotellet….det var en frygtelig larm, men det kan hotellet jo ikke gøre for. Et stort ønske ville være morgenmad på hotellet. Tak for god service og et dejligt ophold

El alojamiento ha superado mis ecpectativas, para mi un 9 sin dudas le daría , por poner un pero, sería la habitación demasiado pequeña ( a mi me da un poco igual pero si eres muy grande a lo mejor tienes algo de problema)
Sin duda gente maja, el personal de limpieza espectacular y todo muy nuevo .

Sitio céntrico. Muy limpio.
El baño un pelín pequeño.
Carece de ascensor para subir una planta por lo que cargar con una maleta se puede hacer un tanto incomodo.
La recepcion es buena y los empleados amables.
Carece de un armario para colgar la ropa, habiendo solo un colgador de pared con unas 6 perchas.
Como no hay bufet, la mesa donde pueden desayunar dos se hace un poco pequeño pues solo hay una silla y la otra persona se tiene que sentar en el borde de la cama.
El desayuno te lo traen a la habitación y es tipo picnic y bastante completo.
Aparcar es fácil. El hotel dispone de unas plazas en la misma puerta. Cerca hay espacio en la calle pero hay zona azul en la temporada de verano.

Siisti hotelli rantakadulla

Sopivan pieni, siisti hotelli rantakadulla. Huoneet toisessa kerroksessa. Ehdottomasti kannattaa ottaa huone merinäköalalla ja parvekkeella. Kauden ulkopuolella joukukuussa oli rauhallista. Kadulla on ravintoloita eli sesonkina hulinaa varmasti riittää.

Das Frühstück nebenan und die Bedienung waren top, immer gut gelaunt und toller Service.
Es gibt zwar eine Happy Hour und Drinks aufs Haus, es wirkte aber ein wenig gestellt zumal der Kaffee erst ab 9.30 Uhr zur Verfügung stand....aber das sind Details.

Höstlovssemester

Supertrevligt litet hotell som var rent och fräscht. Trevlig personal som ordnade det där lilla extra på vår dotters födelsedag. Vi kommer definitivt att boka detta igen.

La habitación extremadamente pequeña, poca ventilación, sin terraza, la ducha da salía el agua.
Me gusto la ubicación y algunos detalles del hotel como bebidas a lo largo del día para tomar en los sillones de la entrada al mismo.
