Apartment Hotel

This is an apartment hotel and as such there is quite a lot of self-service i.e. getting luggage to the room etc. The accommodation is spacious, kitchen is well-equipped for European guests. (No kettle for the English) also nothing provided in the way of tea, cofee, washing up liquid so bring your own. Breakfast is a very good buffet selection in lovely surroundings. We also had a delightful meal at the restaurant once again in lovely surroundings with very friendly service. On a main road but surprisingly quiet at all hours

Some charm. Some downside.

Lobby was beautiful, breakfast was tasty, checkin person was incredibly welcoming and friendly.

Room was in need of TLC, specifically the doors to the balconies both had broken locks. A big deal because we’re traveling with a 3-year-old.

Pool area was not kid friendly, too deep for me to go in and be able to stand with a child. Also, so many ants in that area.

The room is very unique, big and beautiful. The hotel is very nice and looks luxury. Everting is very good just too many mirrors. Breakfast was good as well. Really want to stay more days and will be back next time. Highly recommend.

The rooms were spacious. However, the staff in the dining room were awful. we had the half board and the first night we went to dinner, we sat down to some (awful food) but were happy to have bottles of wine at the tables. We each had a glass which made up a little for the food. But then one of the staff came over and rudely said \"why are you sitting at this table and drinking the groups wine\". I replied that there were no indications this table or any other table was part of a group dinner. She replied that well otherwise this side of the dining room is not open for dinner. I said it was our first night so we wouldn't know that and we would pay for the wine. She then brought over another staff so we could hear it all again. Then they cleared the clean plates from our table and otherwise did what they could to make a scene. We noticed this also happened to another couple. Fortunately, we were only there two nights and no more dinners.

Relaxing stay

Typically Spanish resort-If you’re looking for a resort full of Brits and entertainment then not for you.Relaxing break,great pool and small games room to entertain the kids.Spacious apartment,comfortable beds,good selection of food,friendly staff.Hotel looking a little tired and worn in places but overall a fantastic stay.

Holiday where Spaniards go.

At first glance thought town was run down, but has areas of differing urban qualities, some apartments at €100k with since villas over €2mm.(2017).
Beach not white sand, a mix of grey sand and pebbles.
Authentic Spanish town (27000 pop), charming old town, not a big town at all, but there are so many cars, parking is a lottery.
For groceries there is a Lidl store, in town centre next to McDonalds.
Lots of shops of all levels, best within the tight streets and small plazas of old town.
Hotel menu was set up for standard set menu which we found expensive and second rate to what the town has to offer.
Tapas definitely try El Chino (the pebble) at the most western end of the seafront. El Pinocchio in old town for pizza and lovely steak. Pepe’s on the beach was good, great sunset views, La Dorada del Plato on the beach was excellent.
Churros in the beach a must.
La Herradura and the marina worth a visit.
Our hotel is the most white, mist marbled and most mirrored we have ever experienced. It was a delight unique and sophisticated. The staff were always pleasant polite and efficient. The hotel grounds are special and a delight to be in, probably the best in the town. Signs of ongoing repair underway( it is 30 yrs old ) but maintenance levels very high, rooms and hotel cleaned to a high level. Hotel And grounds was conceived by the owner as an statement against the norm of hotel development , we think definitely influenced by Cesar Manrique (Lanzarote).

Lovely hotel, great pool and grounds

The suite was fine but had a few niggles. One of the bathrooms had a cracked sink, the grouting in the shower enclosures was dirty in places, needed the grout removing and re grouting. The door into our bedroom stuck when halfway open, was rectified when we reported it. The cleaner forgot to make our bed up one day, also forgot the second bed.
Overall it was clean and pleasant.

Impromptu and pleasant one night stay

Generously apportioned apartment, hotel facilities not bad if a little dated now. Full hotel meant a scrum for loungers by the pool and a non-relaxing breakfast but this is pretty standard stuff!

The apartment was very spacious and the gardens extremely well kept. The only downside was that we were out of season and very few apartments were in use therefore the bars and restaurant were shut. The receptionist did however recommend a restaurant 5 minutes walk away which was excellent.

Try Hotel Casablanca!

Horrible stay! We checked in late only to find that the shower was defective. I walked to the front desk in a towel and had a very nice attendant follow me back to the room to confirm the shower was broken (he noted in the hotel's system). The 'climatizer' system, is not an Air Conditioner, and it too was broken, or not able to cool the room, again complaint and noted in System by the night attendant. In the morning I went to complain about the issues and the MANAGER said there was nothing he could do, other than not charge me the $14 parking fee. I paid $192 for a horrible night's stay! When I said I'd take it up with my credit card, he said he'd have to then go ahead and charge my Parking...adding insult on injury. The property is old, and not in the best condition, i.e. the handle to the sliding door was broken, screw fell out on the ground when I went to open it...

Do not stay here... the pictures are nice, but he stay and treatment by the management is horrible!

Easy family holiday hotel

We needed a hotel where the kids could have their own room and we could have good facilities for cooking and washing. We got a large 2 bedroom suite with generous open lounge/diner, bathroom with bath and well equipped kitchen with great washing machine. There were a few Sharp corners on tables which cause safety concerns for me with a 2 and 4 year old. Breakfast was great and we filled up every morning, I am vegan and found I had plenty to eat at the buffet. Pool was bit cold but the kids loved it. Beach was an easy walk away as we're the shops. Lidl and big supermarket walkable but we chose to drive. Not too crowded in early May and the weather was perfect. Great family hotel and location.

Gorgeous hotel but ......

The hotel itself was very nice, beautifully designed and well maintained and the reception staff were multilingual. On the down side, it was a good 15 minute walk to the beach and there was only one TV channel in English (Sky news). There was no information about the hotel or the area in the room, we were not even sure how to call reception. The breakfast buffet was generous with a good variety of food but the hot food was only warm. We wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful pool area

We have stayed at this hotel many years ago and thought we would like a return visit. The public areas are still very beautiful but the suites are in need of some TLC. We paid extra, on arrival, for the lovely sea view as the alternative is a noisy road overlooking apartments. We would certainly recommend this option. The apartment was clean and comfortable but lacking some of the necessities if you decided to eat in. It did not spoil the enjoyment of our holiday. It is a great location for exploring this part of Spain.

Wonderful, peaceful haven!

Fabulous Hotel in wonderful location! Surrounded on 3 sides by an orchard and felt like you were away from everything, whilst being only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and shops. Beautifully maintained grounds, with gardens and fountains. Lovely pool with nicely spaced loungers - great shallow end for kids.buffet breakfast was lovely and a la Carte restaurant food was high quality. staff all very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

In die Jahre gekommen, mit einigen Abstrichen

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, man hat den Eindruck, dass es auf Sparflamme betrieben wird.
So waren zum Beispiel viele der Bars oder Kioske gar nicht geöffnet und das Essen fand nur im Innenbereich statt, der Innenhof wurde gar nicht genutzt - das bedeutet, dass man auch bei schönstem Wetter im nicht ganz so schönen und leider recht lauten Speisesaal saß.
Das Abendessen bei Halb-Pension begann leider erst um halb neun und die Qualität und Auswahl der Speisen war auch nicht überzeugend.

Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, die Einrichtung nicht ganz zeitgemäß, bis auf die Dusche aber in recht gutem Zustand - die Dusche bedurfte aber definitiv einer Renovierung.
Der Pool war gut, ein Wermutstropfen an dieser Stelle war aber, dass er morgens erst um elf Uhr öffnete.

Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass die vier Sterne des Hotels wohl nicht mehr komplett gerechtfertigt und damit die Preise leider überteuert sind. Das Hotel ist als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge gut geeignet um den Nachmittag am Pool zu verbringen, dann allerdings nur mit Frühstück und nur für einige Nächte.

Absolute Vollkatastrophe: angepriesene Poolanlage total verdreckt und mit Möwenkacke versaut....ein Badeparadies für die Möwen, aber nicht für die Gäste.
Ebenso sind die Becken der Brunnen wohl auch länger nicht gereinigt worden: verschleimtes und stinkendes Wasser.
Die Zimmer selbst sind sehr laut. Man hört leider alles.
Der Zustand lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig: alles alt und nur überstrichen.
Klospülungen hängen dauernd und die Schlösser der Badtüren sind defekt. Die Witzfigur von der Rezeption musste öfters kommen um, mit Werkzeug, die Türen wieder freizugegeben. Unsere Tochter war sogar für längere Zeit auch darin eingeschlossen. Dies brachte das Fass vollends zum Überlaufen und gab uns dann somit den Rest, das Hotel umgehend zu verlassen.
Das Essen war eine Zumutung: ständig kalt und immer das gleiche. Keine Babykost. Bei Vollpension kein Getränk dabei: alles muss extra bezahlt werden.
Der verlogene Hotelmanager versprach uns dann zuerst, dass er als kleine Wiedergutmachung den Transfer für das neue Hotel übernimmt, was er dann beim Checkout wieder zurücknahm.
Von Expedia kam, trotz sofortiger Reklamation, bisher keinerlei Unterstützung bzw. eine Entschädigung!!!!! Hotelwechsel inkl. Transfer mussten wir selber organisieren und auch bezahlen.
Rechtliche Schritte behalten wir uns vor.
Dieses Hotel ist absolut keine 4 Sterne wert. Mitarbeiter sind aber größtenteils bemüht und nett und für mich, neben den geprellten Gästen, ebenfalls die Leidtragenden.

Trop décevant pour le prix payé

Trop déçu par la qualité de service. Je trouve que l'hôtel est excessivement cher pour pas grand chose.
Point de frustration : pour la réservation on voit bien \"Parking sans service de voiturier\", mais arrivé sur place : Pas de parking, on me propose de louer une place au garage pour € la nuit ! Inadmissible !

Necesita una reforma, muchas de las instalaciones estan obsoletas. Falta personal de servicio, por ejemplo, en el desayuno no había nadie. Por otro lado, las habitaciones tienen falta de limpieza. En general, no estuvimos cómodos y teniendo en cuenta el precio que tiene, esperabamos bastante mas.

Buffet sin identificar para celíacos como nos dijeron al realizar la reserva, hay que preguntar continuamente que se puede comer, prácticamente nada, porque además está todo mezclado. Lejos de la playa, zonas comunes y piscina muy bonitas, apartamentos amplios, pero falta mantenimiento. (cisterna rota, manguera rota, puerta cocina descolgada, etc).

그리고 방으로 올라갔는데 청소가 안되어있더군요.

Ideal place for a stay with family and kids. Great pool, great services. Cca 15 mins from the beach (ideally Cristobal playa, the other is not that nice). The city is small.
The rooms are quite bizzare as there are mirrors everywhere. Our room was equipped with a plastic furniture. Great breakfast, fantastic pool. We would stay again.

Vi var 5,- 2 barn og 3 voksne i alderen 8-80.
Vakkert hotell, maurisk inspirert arkitektur med sjarm, som likevel kunne ha trengt noe shining her og der. God frokost, store fine suiter med kjøkken og anledning til å lage mat.
Bassengområdet er superfint Og både voksne og unge koste seg. En kan leie parkering for 19 euro dagen. Sentralt til Almunecar sentrum og strand. Anbefales

Un belle hotel un peu veillissant...

nous avons passez 5 jours à Hotel Suites Albayzin del Mar, très joli (surtout quand on à la vue sur les jardins de l'hotel) et très agréable à cette période de l'année (mi-avril) quand il n'y a pas trop de monde...Le jardin et la piscine très sympa mais il est regrettable de voir que l'entretien est un un peu laissé à l'abandon; malgré tout très propre....L’hôtel est bien situé, proche du centre (5 mn à pied) et le personnel est de qualité. Le restaurant un peu bruyant quand il y a du monde, nous avions les petits déjeuner à l’hôtel tout à fait correct avec un large choix. Seul bémol, les jus de fruit lyophilisés pas vraiment de bon gout quand on est sur la \"Costa tropical\"! Je recommande cette hotel meme si je doute quand période estival mon séjour ai été aussi reposant...

Hotel muy simpático en Almuñécar. La habitación era enorme, realmente un piso con 2 habitaciones con sala y cocina muy bien equipado y con buen gusto. La bañera un poco pequeña sobretodo la ducha que era baja para mi (1.82 mido yo). La televisión pobre pero da igual. Desayuno bastante bueno

Mycket trevlig personal. Helt ok frukostbuffé. Underbara rum med balkong mot trädgården gjorde vistelsen extra mysig. Härligt att kunna sitta i trädgården och ta sig en drink. Städerskorna mycket effektiva och rara. Bor gärna här igen.

Les chambres sont propres, literie confortable mais les salles de bain devraient être rénovées (un peu vieux)
Par contre l hotel et l extérieur avec piscine sont magnifique, le 1er mot de nos enfants ont été \"Wahou !\"
Le personnel est très souriant, la demi pension est bien variée.
Je recommande cet hotel, très agréable en fin octobre avec une moyenne de 24 degrés et du soleil !

God service, gode værelser i lejlighed - meget rent og pænt. GOD \"lege-stue\"med pasning for de mindste - ret kedelig morgen buffet, der dog også blev holdt pæn og ren. Et lejlighedshotel der nok mest er for voksne - selv om børn er mere end velkomne.

Rätselhaft wie 4 Sterne an so ein Hotel vergeben w

Zimmer sind kleine Wohnungen welche ideal für Familien sind, Ausstattung ok aber in die Jahre gekommen und teilweise zerschlissen vor allem das Bad. Von 4 Sterne Hotel aber keine Spur
Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig.
Frühstücksbuffet für diese Kategorie ungenügend. Der Frühstücksraum ist unschön und nicht einladend. Service ist keiner vorhanden, ab und zu sieht man jemand vom Personal der sich am Buffet bedient und wieder abrauscht.

Stille, pent og rolig bassengområde med veldig bra wifi. Dårlig wifi på rommet og ingen internationale TV kanaler.

Muchos desperfectos para un hotel de 4 estrellas. Goteras en los pasillos y en una filtración bastante importante en la cocina de la suite.
