Beautiful hotel-peaceful and relaxing. The decor was beautiful and the whole hotel inside and out was kept extremely clean and fresh. The smell around the hotel, even the putside areas was lovely! We loved the comfortable loungers and there were plenty available in various areas of the hotel. We enjoyed the adults rooftop pool and the views from there were spectacular. Rooms were tastefully decorated. The breakfast was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay-thank you to all the lovely staff.

One minor issue- the concierge. You need to double check everything as they got many things mixed up with bookings and taxis during our stay. We raised this during our stay and the manager took note of this. However, they were lovely and polite. Theh just need a better, more efficient system which I’m sure they’ll work out.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff and fantastic views.
There’s only 1 car so disappointing not to have use of it, though there is a car rental place in the hamlet. Without transport there’s very little nearby. Perfect if all you want to do is lie by the pool.

The hotel itself is amazing

The service, is nearly 0 for me. Would i stay here again because of the resort and its vibe? Yes.

Room service took over an hour to deliver.
Room had ants.
Room view of room 269 is not worth what you pay for; overlooking another hotel with people walking and staring at your on an island where you could be overlooking the sea.

The porter instead of storing my luggage for checkout, he decided to come and keep it with me while he saw me sitting in the lobby working on my computer - the little things about service that are just .. wrong lol.

I find the service very pool for a leading hotel of the world and the staff could be friendlier

While the property is stunning, the service left much to be desired. The concierge was amazing when in person, but when we called them from the road to make a request and they were with someone else, they never called us back. We had to call 3 times about the temperature in our room being so hot and humid - and they said all was working properly when they finally came to look at it - and there was no way all was okay. We were so hot we couldn’t even use the blow dryers to do our hair. Everyone was so kind, but we just found service to be a bit slow overall. Lots of flies and bugs and nothing was being done to help. They leave the doors open in the gym so it was sweltering hot and filled with flies. Light some coffee grinds or flames to keep the critters at bay!

Most overpriced hotel.

The hotel was new and clean. However, for the price we paid, around $1,500 per night, it was not worth it. Our room, a suite, had a balcony where other people could walk by. No privacy. The room itself was fine but not that big and reminded me of a nice Hilton Hotel.

We had thought that the hotel had a private beach where you could get towels and have food service brought to you. normal for a so called 5 star hotel. unfortunately there are NO private beaches in Menorca and the actual beaches next to this hotel were filled with people and very, very rocky. there was no hotel service at the beach at all. If I had known this I would never have stayed.

So we asked about getting a boat to take us to more secluded beaches. Unfortunately the concierge informed us that no boats were available. Terrible!

I actually called down from our room to talk to the hotel manager and the girl who spoke to me said the manager would call me back. He never did. Poor management.

The room we had should of cost around $500 per night.
We paid $1,500 per night and got no beach, average rooms with no privacy, no boat, and average service.

So when I think about this hotel I would say that if you know about what it has and does NOT have, you might be willing to pay around 30% to 40% of the price they are asking for each room.

Needless to say, we will never go back, unless the price is one third of what they charged us.

This is classed as a Melia hotel but what they have done to it in a shabby/chic way has reduced it to a second rate motel.
Food was very poorly cooked and generally tasteless and cold ... flies everywhere... restaurant had the look of a works canteen .. waiting staff very surly.
We had a good room with a balcony/verandah you could have a barn dance on.... lovely ocean view.
Bar drinks we thought quite pricey so we spent most of our luncheons and evenings in the hotel next door which was cheaper and a lot more comfortable . There was so much ‘wickerwork’ in the Sol Beach House I’m surprised they didn’t convert the toilets too.
Generally we thought the decor to be dated shabby and poor.

Lovely clean hotel with comfortable rooms, good pool and great buffet breakfast.
Staff are friendly/helpful but some more than others.
If only the clientele would respect the hotels request to not reserve the sun beds! I do feel the hotel could be more forthcoming in enforcing it as it was unfair on others who were actually there. I witnessed beds being “reserved” by people leaving their towels on the bed and then going off for a few hours.
Overall it was a pleasant stay, easy access to the beach and a quiet resort.

Fantastic hotel, staff couldn’t do enough for us and the food was excellent. We originally booked bed & breakfast but quickly realised that there aren’t many restaurants in santo Tomàs so hotel let us book dinners at a good discount, well worth it. The room was fab with gorgeous views next to the sea. We were upgraded to a really nice spacious family room, only complaint is we got very little sleep as the noise of the lift going up and down all night was disturbing but didn’t want to move as the room was so good.

Beautifully peaceful hotel

Hotel met all my needs. It was a calm and tranquil oasis. It was perfect for a short, stress free stay. View of the sea from balcony, air con in room was vital as it was very hot, towels for the pools were provided and even waiter service poolside. Right next to two beaches, where people were swimming. Live entertainment every night. Breakfast was great but menu limited. Waiters not always willing to help and had to work a lot out for ourselves. Would recommend for a child free, relaxing shirt stay.

Stayed half board. Very good hotel. Breakfast and dinner was superb and the views were gorgeous
The negative points
- service for drinks can be slow so order your drinks at the bar first
- evening entertainment on some evenings went on till 11pm so don’t expect to get any sleep before then
- there is a very small beach outside the hotel which I never used
- parking is charged at €8 a night. Parking is free on the side roads
- lots of people were placing their towels on the sun beds well before breakfast started at 8am!

We had a lovely time at Sol Beach Hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom clean and great shower, and the service staff was excellent, They had s lovely pool, but ironically no sandy beach right there. You’d have to walk about a mile to a sandy beach. The room was quite crowded with furniture, yet there was only one chair in the room. Also as Americans, we missed having washcloths (face cloths) provided,

We arrived late and were greeted by a very nice Receptionist who said there was some fruit and cheeses in our room. Lovely touch. The hotel had a lovely Spa feeling about it. Gentle, quiet with thoughtful sayings for each room and dotted about. There was a good choice of food and staff were friendly.

Close to beach, nice gardens. Wasn't impressed with the restaurant. Breakfast was ok. Evening meals were not to the standard of a 4* hotel. Some dishes luke warm, not a great choice. Very little vegetarian options.. It wasn't clear which foods contained meat or which were just vegetables. i.e soup label said Vegetable, yet it had chicken pieces in it. This was brought to the attention of the restaurant manager who just shrugged it off. Some staff were a little surly. Not to keen on the deco of the hotel or staff uniforms!!!

Hotel & rooms were clean but would not choose this one again Definately not worth the cost charged nor does it compare to other 4* hotels we have stayed in.

Amazing staff very helpful, room was very comfortable and pleasant! Breakfast buffet very rich and yummi , there are events every night almost, amazing views of the sea as we booked the sea view room !
What i loved most is the concept and uniqueness of the hotel as it has its own theme and quotes all over the corridors

They also arrange excursions and have pilates and yoga classes !
Everything you need and more ! Definitely recommend it

The perfect place to stay in Saint Thomas!

An awesome hotel, with attentive and helpful staff where there is a wonderful chilled out vibe built into its ethos. Excellent location near to the beach. If you are looking for a 'fly and flop' destination then Saint Thomas is it! A great choice of foods provided at breakfast and in the evening the restaurant offers a delightful buffet style menu with food freshly prepared, and a wide variety to suit all tastes including vegetarian options (the menu changes every evening). I would recommend this to single travellers, especially women.

This is a really large hotel right on the sea/ beach

It's very modern, clean, and has lots nice decor in the main lobby and restaurant it's very impressive

Having breakfast in morning or dinner in the open air sun was really nice, along with entrainment such as violin, singers, etc made for an amazing athmosphere

The staff were very very friendly. Loved the how to make sangria class

The only only downside for us was the room size it was tiny ! Fit £200 night should have been bigger

But overall we had a great stay

Five stars location

Sol Beach House Menorca offered everything. Placed on the beach line, anyone can experience a perfect dinner while admiring a truly breathtaking sunset or a stunning breakfast as well. I don't know what others think and to be honest don't really care, as my time at the above mentioned hotel was filled up with positive vibes.
Thank you indeed for a time like no other. I had some tears in my eyes when had to leave the Paradise of Menorca.

Amazing modern hotel, with fantastic sea views

We had a very relaxing stay - just what we were looking for. A lovely quiet part of the island with lovely sea views and nice short walks to the beach. The hotel had great facilities, extremely friendly and helpful staff - we could not fault it. Just watch for a few hidden extra costs - we had to pay to park our hire car at the hotel - 6 euros per night! But other than that we would definitely stay here again and we are already recommending it to friends an family.

We spent 9 pleasant days in this restful hotel centrally situated in the small resort of Santo Tomas. We enjoyed the buffet breakfasts, and found a number of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance for our other meals. We hired a car locally for a couple of days to explore other resorts, but were happy with our choice.

Perfect hotel for a chilled holiday in the sun

I visited the hotel in September 2016 with my parents for a long weekend. This is the perfect spot to relax as there isn't much to do except sunbathe and read! The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is incredible - huge buffet and lots of choice! The rooms are all clean and modern with great showers (no baths) and nice toiletries. On every floor, there are books left behind by previous guests so you can swap your reading material and leave your finished items for the next guests - a lovely touch. The rooms have fridges and pool/beach towels are provided. We also used the Expedia transfer service from the airport that we couldn't fault - lovely staff who speak great English. Overall, this is a brilliant hotel for anyone wanting to completely switch off and relax - in a high-quality hotel which has a five star finish, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

A pity they do not offer fully inclusive. Would use a taxi from the airport on future visits probably twice the cost of the shuttle but well worth not hanging around the airport for up to an hour. I think the hotel is missing an opportunity at lunch times and need to improve their limited lunch time menu we tended to use the hotel pool bar next door which was excellent.no

Great hotel, Santo Tomas needs better food

Perfectly respectable hotel. Probably the best in the town. The staff were caring, friendly and hard working. The hotel was relaxing, certainly more suited to people over 50. The cocktails and breakfast lacked imagination. I'd recommend the hotel to my mum and dad, somewhere like cuitadella is more suited for me at 26. It was perfect to chill, no kids running around. The beach was stunning, put a shack by that beach and you'll have an amazing time. The hotel was immaculately clean, incredibly so!

Big pool, very deep at one end. Food is buffet for breakfast and dinner, but very good, lots of choice and changes. good coffee in am through machines, but they don't turn on in evening. The bar coffee during day we tried once and was poor, bought off site daily which is all close.

good wine choices and some people had their room number written on bottle and it was stored overnight to finish the next day.

Could do with a kettle in the room.

Lots of nice walks to other beaches and coves,including some cliffs and rural scenes.

Great beach hotel

Sol Beach House is beautiful , the Desigual design influence really makes this special.Located on the beach front, easy access to the promenade. The hotel has spectacular sunset views every evening. We went at the end of the season , it was quiet and we appreciated the ' adults only' criteria. All the staff are friendly, cheerful and helpful, speak fluent English. The whole place, inside and out, is maintained to a very high standard and is exceptionally clean. Both breakfast and dinner have a vast buffet selection which cannot be faulted. The lunch time snack bar also had a good choice on the menu. Evening entertainment was fairly standard- singer/ singers doing middle-of-the road classics. Free, well equipped gym was a bonus . Swimming pool would be better used if heated! Only thing that was poor was the evening bar service between 18.00 and 20.00. One bar person trying to run the inside and outside bar, including mixing cocktails and table service meant long wait to be served. We gave up after the 2nd evening and went elsewhere.

Had a lovely time at Sol Beach House. Excellent customer service by all staff. Good choice of food at breakfast and dinner, bar service/waiters very good and great fun. Pool area was spotless (as was rest of hotel) and so relaxing sitting quietly by the pool listening to the waves rolling onto the beach.

My wife and I stayed for four nights at the hotel in October, we enjoyed our stay and could not fault anything at all except the entertainment,which was of a poor standard.
I would urge management to re-think their entertainment programme as this would encourage guests to stay and spend more time at the bar/entertainment lounge, rather than drifting off to find entertainment elsewhere.
Overall this is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff and it has a great location next to the beach in a lovely resort.
We celebrated my birthday whilst on this break and were suprised by the thoughtful gifts from the Hotel delivered to my room.

5 days in a wonderful clean friendly hotel no kids so just adults for a peaceful and relaxing stay!
The breakfast was amazing everything you could possibly want in a meal and the evening dinner buffet was valye for money with a very goid wine list.
Rooms spotless and the views from the balcony over the Med were great.
Would definitely return, hire a car as the island is worth it. Well done Sol Beach House.

We had a most enjoyable stay.WE offer the following suggestions for an excellent rating overall.
1. Provide tea and coffee making facilities in bedrooms.
2 Provide a reliable Wifi service.
3 Tea and coffee at Breakfast should be served from thermal containers by the staff.
4 Slightly larger plates are needed for the excellent cooked breakfast choices.
5 Cold milk for cereals should be really cold and kept in thermal dispensers.

Hotel is very clean and staff are very helpful but I am unsure why a week at this hotel costs so much. Breakfast is self service. There is no waiter service in the bar or by the pool. Our room was over air con ducts which were noisy. There were no tea or coffee facilities in the room so these have to be purchased at the bar. Not sure why this is described as a spa hotel. To describe this hotel as adults only is a little deceiving. It should state that hotel is popular with the more mature traveller looking for a very quiet holiday. Not the place to stay if you are looking for entertainment. Not quite the luxury hotel I thought I was paying for. Santo Tomas is a beautiful place and I will come back again but I am afraid that I won't be booking this hotel.

Breakfast is the best meal of the day. Great choice. We went half board and found the evening meal not great but ok. Again good choice from the buffet type presentation and we'll displayed. Good feel to the hotel that was relaxed and baby/small child free. Would rebook again.

Great place to relax by the beach

We stayed for three days, the hotel and the stuff is great, we had everything we needed and it's just by the beach so you can go to the pool, your room and the beach and it will take you 5 minutes. Highly recommended!

A Perfect Place to Relax

Our trip was VERY last-minute so we didn't get a change to book the airport shuttle, but that was fine as we got a little time in the city of Mahon before heading to Sant Tomas where the hotel is located. This is a stunning area with great walks, lots of hotels to dine at, and immaculate beaches - but no shops, so if you want snorkels (recommended!) or inflatables they need to be got elsewhere. The hotel staff were very friendly (especially Tom in the bar). Our room was spacious, in very good repair, and clean. The bed was comfortable, the fan was quiet, and the shower was excellent. We went half board and this was great, as the buffet breakfast and dinner had a huge selection of fresh food, including local dishes and international options. There were always some comfortable loungers and sun-shades available by the immaculate pool, but we preferred the beach just down a set of steps. In the evenings, entertainment was put on - local bands and guitarists, and for the evening of the full moon there were fire-dancers and rope-acrobats (though when we went to bed early we couldn't hear any noise at all in our room, this is not at all a rowdy place).

Stunning location on peaceful island.

Stayed at Sol Beach House for a week and could not fault the hotel. Wonderful staff, who were extremely polite and helpful, super food and lots of it. The quality of the self-service buffet was impressive. Highly recommend the HB option. The hotel was clean, light, airy and, although full, it never seemed crowded. If you want a top quality break, a stones throw from a great beach and only 2 hours flight from the UK, then the Sol Beach House is perfect.

Sol Beach House Menorca

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much indeed, we were made to feel at home straight away. We checked in early and the rooms were ready and spotlessly clean. The pool area is lovely and very well maintained with plenty of sunbeds (although contrary to the hotel rules these do get reserved with towels very early in the morning!), and the view of the sea/beach was lovely. We couldn't fault the staff, each person we spoke to was very friendly and helpful.

Our 4th Anniversary....

We had 10 nights at Sol Beach Hotel and it was a brilliant hotel. Plenty going on and some great musicians at night to chill out to. Sol Beach is exactly in the right place for a lovely swim in the pool or an amazing beach right in front of the hotel. The food was varied and extremely good. They also had a great gym and each morning something different so Yoga, Pillates, cocktail demonstrations....
Lovely rooms and lovely views.
We hired a car and saw the whole island, plus St Joans festival on the 24th June was amazing and the horses at the stables training was amazing. Glass bottom boat. Fly boarding and loads of water sports. All in all a great hotel and a great island. xx

Perfect hotel for a quiet, relaxing, adult only stay.
Staff helpful, saved dinner on first night due to flight delay.
Quiet pool area and the beach only a minute walk along the front.
Often two sets of entertainment every night, at the bar during sunset and then inside in the night
Lovely breakfast buffet. Dinner sometimes could feel like a school canteen, not enough outdoor seating for those who wanted to eat outside.
Room cleaned immaculately everyday.
Had a double room but it was made up as two separate twin beds - spoke to reception and they had housekeeping change it.
Not much else around this area in terms of restaurants or shops just hotels but for a relaxing hotel this place is perfect.
Highly recommend sea view room!

A really nice hotel, good condition, very clean, and attentive friendly staff. The location overlooks beautiful coastal scenery, quieter than Cala Galdana but a great base for traveling around the island. A couple of times we visited the bar in the hotel, it's fun, you won't get the best cocktail you've ever had but it will be drinkable and more-ish. The 'entertainment' was predictably patchy (which is why we rarely hang around the bar in holiday hotels in the evening) but a couple of evenings were surprisingly good (jazz trumpeter and soul diva) and none was bad. We were there on a bed and breakfast basis, the breakfast was good, and especially good on fresh fruits, excellent coffee (from ground beans via a machine, which was slow but worth waiting for, there's a quicker machine but it ain't as good, depends how patient you are). We ate once in the evening, good choice and quality but the good stuff goes quickly and may not be replaced. It's advertised as Seven pm to Eleven pm but it was all over by Nine-thirty pm so don't leave it late. We were there for the second week in June, the weather was great, one overcast day with a little rain, the sea starting to warm up so easy to get in. It's adults only which means Sixteen+, it's mainly older couples, I was there with my wife and two adult kids (twenties) and they loved it.

Stunning hotel

We had a short stay in sol beach Hotle it was stunning. If your looking for a sit back and relax and do nothing holiday then this is the place. Clean stunning views on the beach. The bed was two singles put together so made it hard to cule up together but other that room in great condition loads of room and nice balcony. The area was a bit to quite no real place to go with a atmosphe as a young couple with no kids. But other then that we had a amazing time with friendly staff and clean Hotel.

For our first trip to Menorca we chose this adults only hotel. First impressions were of a 1960s concrete cold hotel with little atmosphere. After booking in we acquainted ourselves with all the facilities
It's a great hotel with very friendly & helpful staff nothing is too much for them. The breakfasts are wonderful, all tastes are catered for & there's plenty of it . We didn't sample the evening meal, but it did look good ,if a little expensive at 22 e each without wine.
The room was standard hotel style with a tile floor & small balcony. Everything was very clean & tidy. Furniture was ok if a little tired. Bed was on the firm side , singles clamped together, but we slept ok.
Facilities were great, gym, swimming pool, snack bar, yoga & fitness training available.
The only major downside is the internet. It's not free it's 8e per day !! Not good for the 21st century.
All in all a great hotel in a lovely peaceful resort. Any closer to the beach & it would be in the sea.

Relaxing and Quiet

A short taxi drive from the airport (about 25 mins) and we arrived at our hotel.
My wife and I were looking for a quiet, child free week away, and we weren't disappointed.
The hotel had a calm relaxing atmosphere and was superbly located on a relatively quiet beach (considering it was August)
The beach area was incredibly well maintained and the coastal path (which ran right past the hotel ) a pleasure to stroll along.

Great hotel close to the beach

We spent 8 nights in that hotel, we've been totally charmed by the general atmosphere : the swimming pool facing the sea, the peaceful atmosphere, the closeness to the sea, just few steps to the beautiful sand ! Restaurant at the hotel opens between 7.30pm until 10.30pm, you can admire the sunset from your table. Entertainment every night from 8.30pm to 11.30pm, never later which is good. The entertainment is pleasant but not fantastic, same show every week, we've been especially disappointed by the saxophonist, talented but playing the same track again and again…It was quite difficult to find 2 deck chairs in front of the swimming pool because most of the people were reserving their spots early in the morning (which should not be allowed..). In general I would greatly recommend this hotel.

Idyllic holiday base

My partner and myself have just returned from a fabulous 8 nights at Sol Beach House. We had a faultless stay. Our room (121) was very comfortable with good views of the sea and pool area from the balcony. The breakfast buffet was superb- plenty to choose from and delicious. As a keen swimmer, I was pleased to find that the pool was large enough to swim lengths in and not at all crowded. We had dinner (buffet with some food cooked to order as at breakfast) on two occasions at Sol Beach House which at 22 euros a head was exceptional value for what was on offer. The staff maintained the right balance of being friendly whilst in no way intrusive and were extremely helpful whenever we asked them for local information. We found the proximity to Santo Tomas beach excellent though we would personally recommend walking further along past the island and wading past the rocks to reach Binigaus beach which was quieter and in our opinion, prettier. Also, if you fancy seeing the historic cities of Cituadella or Mahon (both well worth visiting) the very reasonably priced bus service leaves from right outside the hotel which was very handy. Only slight niggle was the 30 euro charge for a week's wifi use (per device) which slightly cheapened an otherwise superb and rather upmarket feeling experience. Overall though, brilliant hotel and highly recommended.

Excellent hotel in lovely location.

Just come back from two weeks in Menorca. Really enjoyed it. Lovely weather, a low-key island and resort, relaxed atmosphere, not too busy anywhere.

The hotel had a lovely civilised feel to it, mainly couples, many older but some younger too. British, German, Spanish, Italian and other nationalities all getting on fine together. It was our first experience of an 'adults only' hotel and we loved it - no noisy children in the buffet or round the pool, fantastic!

Hotel and resort were nicer than I'd expected from photos - hotel is in lovely location right near the sea and in the middle of the resort, with beaches on each side. There's a lovely pathway all along the shore, and three lovely cafes, one in the middle, one at each end. It was wonderful to relax in the hotel garden or swim in its lovely deep, quiet pool, or wander out to the beach or one of the cafes.

Excellent bus service to Mahon and Citadella (well, not very frequent but spot on time and clean etc). Car hire was quite cheap (E100 for 3 days) and it's easy to drive around to look at different resorts, no problem parking anywhere. We went to the Fiesta in Citadella - a bit confusing about what was going on, but saw procession of horses through the streets. Also recommend the 'Somni' horse show, very good. Hotel food was good, no complaints, but of course get fed up after 2 weeks. Only be warned, all drinks are extra including water - we ended up with a drinks/extras bill of nearly E500!

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, delicious food.

We have just had a lovely holiday at the Sol Beach House Menorca. It was our first time there and we were very impressed with the hotel. The room was attractive and very clean, with a beautiful sea view. The food was excellent; the buffet style suited my vegetarian husband, although we both ate too much. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach nearby was also lovely, and not too busy. Overall an excellent hotel, which we will certainly visit again next year.

Lovely hotel would be excellent with a few tweaks

Menorca is a lively island, very unspoilt and laid back and overall a lovely hotel in a great location, some important changes need to be made to achieve 5 stars:
1. The wifi should be provided at either one low fee or for free rather than a fee per device
2. There should be no charge for water at dinner, currently you are obliged to buy bottled water no filtered/tap water is provided and you cannot bring your own
3. There should be no charge for parking
4. There should be no charge to use a safe
