I've been staying at this hotel since 2022, based on a recommendation. I've lived in the United States for 30 years, and I'm delighted with the place. The route flexibility, security, and especially all the staff are excellent. I always arrive super tired, and the staff are always there to help me! I go to Brazil frequently for work; my job is in aviation. And this last time, a young man named Rodrigo was spectacular!! The hotel was full, with events, and he did everything to accommodate me. And I hope CDesign appreciates this young man!! He has admirable talent. An excellent employee.

The room was dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. We saw bugs in our bedroom. The bathroom was disgusting. The lobby smelled really badly as well We checked out immediately and ended up booking another hotel. Don’t stay here

The pool at the terrace and the friendly staff. We dined at the hotel, we used the beach amenities and everything was perfect! Location is beautiful if you prefer to stay far away from midtown and the crowded copacabana beaches.

The electronic system controlling the locks wasn't functioning so I had to ask the reception every time I needed to access my room - sometimes the wait was half an hour! I was offered zero compensation for this major inconvenience!

Good, but not as great as hoped

We only stayed one night and had tried to arrange for early check in but still had delays in accessing our room. We were able to book at the spa which was wonderful. Overall the comfort and location of the hotel was great and enjoyed the views.
Even saved the pool playlist on Spotify!

Amazing staff! Even if there is a language barrier they ensure you are well informed and know that they are at your expense.

However, the facility as a whole was not very clean. My bedding had stains on the pillows and sheets. My curtains and towels had stains as well. The entire hotel is white but stains are very visible on the furniture in the lobby, restaurant, and pool area.

Great hotel but definitely in need of a deep cleaning.

The hotel is stylish, though my room was on the smaller side. The restaurant is located by the waterfront, and Santos, our server, went the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience. My only complaint is that the WiFi signal was poor in the room.

Best staff ever!

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Amazing, friendly staff and made us feel very welcome ( especially Anissa and Lucas) We are visiting from Australia and travelling on bicycles. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms very comfortable. Only downside was booking in to use the gym then finding it taken up with personal trainers which made it hard for us to do our own workout. However the pool and spectacular views made up for everything! Highly recommend.

Work trip. The views/ pool on the roof was stunning and relaxing. Not sure why it closed so early but it meant it couldn’t be enjoyed very long at night. Music was so loud if you were on the beach side it was very very hard to sleep some nights. Staff was nice.

I was given the worst room possible on the first floor close to traffic and an awful view for what was meant to be a 'sea view room'. Considering I had booked 9 months previously and many others checked in same day for a conference, I'm not sure why they stated there were no other rooms available upon check-in. Also was told could not check-in until 3pm but others checked-in early than this time. The sun beds are not located by the pool as pictured and this was very disappointing.

This is a run down 2 star property at best, so if you go in with those expectations, you will be okay.

The rooms are tiny, and so is the bathroom. The furniture in the room is worn out and in serious need of an upgrade. We saw a major stain on the floor right as you enter the room, which smelled bad as well, so clearly, was not properly cleaned.

This is all minor compared to the front desk staff and service we received. They have untrained staff who don’t know what they are doing, our check-in took a full hour, and that was not in waiting, that was us at the counter working directly with their front desk, truly clueless people there. They put our family on two different floors initially, and after we were able to get our point across, finally, late at night they offered us rooms on the floor above us.

The hotel is right on the main thoroughfare, and to say that it is extremely noisy is an understatement, we could not get proper sleep any of the 3 nights as cars and bikes are zooming by all night with an accompanying loud boom. Not to mention the night of 31st, party was ongoing that night until 6 am, with cars lined up outside and people playing music all night, so if this is your kind of scene, go for it, but peace and quiet you will not get here.

Lastly, all good restaurants require you to take a 10-20 min drive as there is barely anything in walking distance, rooftop pool is their only saving grace.

Majority staff does not speak English, which is a huge issue.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Really enjoy our stay.Although it was far from everything but uber was always readily available even at at 4am. Dinning was good.only issue was language barrier as I needed shower gel and they got me a bar of soap so.learn some Portuguese!! Oh and if you getting ocean front room double check the balcony as some of them are the smallest in the world.Mine could only fit a folding chair.(which is due to the building design)...so in short book if you want a fancy design and modern hotel and dont if you want something in the heart of the action and not about the uber life. Great hotel regardless.i love it.

The place is beautiful. I loved the views from my room. The bathroom was big and i enjoyed my bath at the end of a long day. The flowers and the chocolate were very appreciated. I also believe the flip flops they give are a real nice touch.
I would recommend this place its in a wonderful location also.

Good Hotel with great service.

Nice hotel that covers the basics, and handles two important things very well: Service and wifi. Excellent, high-speed connection makes hotel great for business travelers. Good service makes things work smoothly. Tiago, in particular, at the front desk is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to make things work well. The hotel is not \"luxurious\" but does have an awesome rooftop pool and viewing area to look at the ocean and the rest of Barra. The spa is also well-appointed with great service saw well. Definitely recommend.

1-Exercise room should be open 24 hours, if I work all day and can only workout at night, can’t do it because you close it at 8pm
2- During morning or day time, I don’t have all machines available because you have a PTrainer doing classes and equipment is not available
3-Soccer Team is using hallway to chat in loud voice right at your door day and night
4- From Wednesday to Saturday we had warm water shower, not hot
6- No iron or ironing board in the rooms so, I had wear my wrinkled clothes right out of my luggage, ironing service is only available during business hours
7- There’s no tissue paper in the bathroom
8- The size of the water bottle is equal to one glass and does not justify the $8 reais price
9- The breakfast hours had for 2 days the hours of 6 to 10:30 am, and other days was until 10 am
10- The obligation to wear a bracelet to identify as a guest is dangerous because identify is as tourist once you are walking outside of the hotel.
Disappointed with a Hotel that was fantastic and I did recommend to the US State Department as a good choice .
This way, you make me rethink my opinion about doing business with you!

Everything went good only at checked out yesterday I was given a last bill for all the water I drank and some 5 beers that I also drank , I figure each beer costed me around 20 dollars and the bottled water 5 dollars each bottled , very upsetting with this place

Nicest hotel in Recreio/Macumba área.

Nice hotel. Good views from rooms and pool deck. Security was very tight. We had other people in our group that were staying near us that were not allowed to visit us on property which was a bit strange. The Recreio/Macumba área was very enjoyable however. Beach out front was very nice.

- Prepare to be bombarded with rules - does not feel like a hotel, more like a prison
- Made to wear wristbands for 'safety' - I am sure a gunman in Rio is going to worry about wristbands
- Looks brand new outside - inside the furniture is rusting and dirty, especially bathroom
- Very unhygienic - no mattress protectors - imagine all the bodily fluid you're lying on
- No bedside cabinets - no chair on balcony
- plenty of potential but too many issues to truly enjoy

Don't expect to sleep

We had 5 nights here. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, very white and really attentive, wonderful staff.
The sound proofing however is shockingly bad. The first two nights we barely slept due to traffic noises from main road outside building. We asked to move, the hotel understood and moved us to a higher floor and on the buildings curve. This was Fri-Sun Eve and we could no longer hear the traffic, because it was drowned out by the beach club music. This was even louder and persisted from early afternoon through the night to early morning. So little to no sleep for 5 nights.
Again, the staff were wonderful. Really polite, with good humour and very helpful, we cannot fault them.
The food was also really nice, with plenty of choice.
The pool is its crowning glory. Gorgeous views and great cocktails. Tip - get there for opening at 8am (fills up quickly).

This hotel won't allow you to have guests up to your room even if they are not staying over night. I was having a friend visit and they require a bracelet for room access and the staff is very rude. Security is always checking you are wearing this dumb bracelet. You pay good money to stay here and you can't have a guest come up for a meeting or drink very weird and inconvenient, will never stay here again.

Hotel bem bonito e conservado. Mas fiquei mais de 40 minutos para fazer o check in! Só tinha duas pessoas no balcão. A área da piscina tem pouquíssimas mesas que não atendem a quantidade de hópedes, nem a metade! A piscina é pequena e por conta disso fica LOTADA! Eu nem tive coragem de entrar! Fui para relaxar na piscina e do nada apareceu um animador com um microfone falando super alto… não gostei mesmo! De noite eu pedi um macarrão a bolonhesa e o molho era daqueles prontos, horrível!! Enfim, o serviço foi ótimo (na piscina principalmente!! Garçons ótimos), mas a minha experiência não foi das melhores!

O café da manhã servido numa sala de reuniões no subsolo, sem nenhuma vista, é bem básico. \"Suite luxo com vista para o mar\" localizada no terceiro andar realmente tem vista para o mar, mas como o andar é baixo, fica bastante obstruída pelas árvores. Mobiliário da suite é bem simples. Roupa de cama pequena para o tamanho do colchão. A piscina do rooftop é muito boa, mas há poucas espreguiçadeiras.

Barulho. Na chegada, evento ocorria no hotel com musica muito alta e show ao vivo. Reservei o quarto com vista mar que ficava logo acima do evento, que nao foi avisado previamente. Equipe da recepcao e gerencia nao deram suporte apesar da solicitacao. Piscina tambem com evento e musica. Perturbacao do sossego. Quarto com mobiliario em condicoes ruins de uso. Porta do banheiro empenada. Checkin muito demorado. Pia do banheiro estava suja e manchada. Pessima conservacao.

Realmente el servicio de limpieza estuvo bien aunque no fue excelente el personal en general fue muy amable pero no fue excelente y el mejor servicio sin dudas fue en el restaurante donde la señorona Alana Ribeiro una simple mesera fue Espectacular, profesional extremadamente gentil , educada y siempre con la mejor sonrisa para sus clientes. Dios la bendiga siempre realmente merece tener mejor categoría salarial y un mejor puesto dentro de ese hotel personal como ella es los q hacen relucir y exaltar a una firma hotelera!
