It was a good experience at all. The staff is very kind and gentle. I just had a few issues regarding room service. As a new covid-19 policy we now have to schedule house keeping and sometimes it was a bit delayed.
But the experience was very good and I would surely come back when possible.
I recommend this hotel if you want a quiet and peaceful place with a nice view to nature.

GREAT HOTEL
The hotel is located in front of Japeragua Lagoon. The room had a beautiful sight of it. The hotel in general (room, gym, pool area, hall and restaurant) were always clean. The facilities at the hotel were really good! The hotel staff was extremely kind and nice, so I would say that it had an excellent service.
There are a few restaurants nearby and 2 supermarkets. Although the hotel is located far away from Copacabana, you could still go by bus and subway, which you take just in front of the hotel. The public transportation was good. Also you could visit Barra Beach, Macumba Beach, Recreio Beach, and Pepê Beach which are excellent beaches and not so far away, so you could take a taxi. Barra Shopping and Shopping Metropolitano are also near (around 5 and 3 km).
In order to visit some Rio’s attraction such as Christ the Redeemer, the Sugar Loaf, Selaron steps, Sambodromo, the Metropolitan Cathedral and Maracanã, the hotel offer you this tour (through a travel agency) in one day which includes lunch. We did it and it was great! Our guide spoke Spanish, English and Portuguese and explain several details of each place we saw. There are also other tours which you could ask for at the front desk.
During our stay in the hotel, Maroon 5 concert took place in Jeunesse Arena which is 1 km from the hotel. The hotel was really booked during those days and everything kept working perfectly.
Summarizing I would definitely return to this hotel, and I absolutely recommend it.

In order to visit some Rio’s attraction such as Christ the Redeemer, the Sugar Loaf, Selaron steps, Sambodromo, the Metropolitan Cathedral and Maracanã, the hotel offer you this tour (through a travel agency) in one day which includes lunch. We did it and it was great! Our guide spoke Spanish, English and Portuguese and explain several details of each place we saw. There are also other tours which you could ask for at the front desk.
During our stay in the hotel, Maroon 5 concert took place in Jeunesse Arena which is 1 km from the hotel. The hotel was really booked during those days and everything kept working perfectly.
Summarizing I would definitely return to this hotel, and I absolutely recommend it.

The hotel was very nice, especially for Brazilian standards. It was what you expect from a Residence Inn in the U.S. and probably even better since it is fairly new. We went to Rock N Rio which was in the olympic park so the location was perfect. If you were not attending an event in the olympic park area it isn't that close to anything.

É bem silencioso, exceto pela geladeira, a luz do ar não apaga. Tem bastante led no quarto - leve adesivo. e a Helena da governanca foi um anjo. Todo o staff é ótimo. Hotel possui um padrão excelente porém falta gestão em algumas áreas pois fica bem abaixo pelo padrão do hotel, limpeza no andar/ corredores não existe nem lixeiras o que faz ter lixos pelos corredores do andar que estava ao longo dos 6 dias q fiquei hotel além de sacos de lixo nos cantos corredor! O quarto ficou 3 dias sem limpeza, mesmo solicitando diariamente… o máximo q fizeram foi trocar as toalhas no primeiro dia…, hotel lotado mas estrutura e gestão deve existir sempre! Destaque para café da manhã, excelente! Em tudo, serviço, variedade, reposição adequada mesmo em alta demanda!! Parabéns!

Plusieurs incidents pendant le voyage , tous les matins je me faisais réveiller par de l’eau dans les conduits , propreté à revoir plusieurs fois pas de ménage pendant 2/3 jours , problème de porte nous sommes resté bloque avec deux enfants à l’intérieur de la chambre impossible de sortir la porte était cassé obligé de dormir avec le verrou .
Pendant 5jour la climatisation était à 28degres donc impossible de dormir . Pour un hôtel mariott j’ai été très déçu

Razoável ...localização ruim. Mesmo através do GPS é muito complicado chegar no hotel. Não tem garagem. Se quiser guardar o carro no estacionamento do hotel terá que pagar 50 a mais na diária . Me hospedei no Residence Inn com minha mãe e irmã durante período do Natal e infelizmente tivemos várias decepções. Primeiramente o quarto cheirava mofo, o que inclusive causou uma crise de bronquite na minha mãe o que até me obrigou a procurar um pneumologista para atendimento de urgência. Segundo foi com relação a ceia de Natal. Por pelo menos 2 vezes perguntei sobre ceia e afirmaram que não haveria nada de especial e então nós compramos a nossa ceia para fazer no hotel. No dia 24/12 descemos para pedir uma mesa, pratos e talheres e fomos surpreendidas ao saber que sim, teriam uma ceia e que resolveram de última hora por conta de uma melhora de número de hóspedes. Fiquei extremamente desapontada e falei isso com os funcionários, que a comunicação deles foi péssima!
Além disso disseram que arrumariam uma mesa, mas deveríamos descer com os pratos já esquentados no microondas do quarto. Por fim, decidimos ficar no quarto de tanta consternação!

Wir erhielten zunächst ein behindertengerechtes Studio im 6. Stock, ohne eines zu benötigen.
Leider war das Studio weit von unseren Vorstellungen entfernt:
- Beim Verlassen des Aufzuges war ständig ein deutlich wahrnehmbarer Essengeruch präsent
- Das Zimmer selbst hatten einen eigenen unangenehmen Geruch, der an abgestandene Luft erinnerte
- Der Duschvorhang war schimmelig
- Die Halterung der Handbrause hing lose am Dübel aus der Wand
- Das Waschbecken, offenbar ebenfalls behindertengereicht, war maximal 50 cm breit und ohne jede Ablagefläche.
Das Studio wurde nach Reklamation am übernächsten Tag durch ein reguläres Studio im 9. Stock ersetzt. Dieses war völlig in Ordnung und wies keinen der vorgenannten Mängel auf, dafür einen anderen:
- Die Trinkgläser im Schrank der Küchenzeile waren verschmutzt. Auch nach Reklamation wurden diese nicht durch saubrere Gläser ersetzt
- In einer der Nächte dran aus einem angrenzenden Zimmer der Lärm eines sehr laut eingestellten Fernsehers
- Über eine Stunde nach der Reklamation wurde der Ton erst leiser gestellt.
Pool:
- Badetücher wurden erst auf dreimaliges Nachfragen hin bereitgestellt
- Beide Badetücher waren von Löchern überseht und waren fleckig
- Bei einer späteren Reklamation wurde dies nur zur Kenntnis genommen
Wäscherei:
- 1 von 3 Waschmaschinen war defekt und nicht nutzbar
- 2 der Maschinen waren bereits fertig, waren jedoch durch nasse Wäsche anderer Gäste über eine Stunde belegt
