They have no AC. i cant sleep without it so i asked for tower fans instead which was free. staff was polite and some of the female personnel were pleasant.. not all of them. the rooms are nice and large, with traditional decor brown furnishings and had a hairblower and a ref. walking around the hotel was nice and has easy access to scout's trail and camp john hay forest, but to visit other baguio tourist spots ud definitely need a rental car/driver like we had. the hotel had a shuttle which we used when we went to the night market but we had to wait a little and it wasnt free. also, theres no smoking is baguio and this hotel's smoking spot is all the way down the hill or somethng. suffice to say, my spouse complained of the long walk all the time lol

Our first time to stay in this hotel and our expectations were not met. Hotel was quiet despite the season, safe and tranquil. Customer service was average. Checking in was slow but efficient, checking out was a hassle (took 30 minutes to do so at 5:30am). Imagine entering your hotel room with a random person’s phone charging by the bathroom (finding out later that it’s the room cleaner’s, no apologies given). They even forgot to provide us free drinking water which they tried to charge us upon checking out. Room was average as there’s no AC. Even with the windows open and the ceiling fan on, we were sweating all night. Extra hard to find taxi or ride in this hotel. It was just an overnight stay, and we left feeling disappointed. Been to Baguio multiple times and stayed in different hotels before, not worth paying $$. Sorry, but we’re not coming back.

Management did not honor reservation and gave me a substitute that was inferior to what was requested or paid for. They also made me wait 3 hours to resolve the issue while we were at the lobby and very uncomfortable without apologies. I spoke to manager who was not much help. It’s not the same quality as it used to be. The bathroom tiles are so old. Very pathetic that shampoo and hand soap were terribly diluted. The pumps of the dispensers were not working. The drivers’ quarters was designed like a morgue freezer. What happened to you, The Manor?

We really enjoyed our stay at The Manor at Camp John Hay. Staff are respectful and courteous and dressed properly. I just found it noisy because the windows have to be opened as there is no air conditioning. The sound of vehicles outside and the people talking can be heard so loud.

Surrounding area is tranquil but somewhat undermined by the regular check-out reminders. We had a great view of the pine trees and it felt overall peaceful. But you feel a bit rushed with the regular check-out reminders (letter through door, phone call, and light flickers 5mins before checkout time). We had every intent to check-out on time, so this felt annoying. If the purpose of this was to ensure the next guest was able to check-in immediately, then it doesnt help their case that we had to wait over an hour for our room to get ready when we first arrived.

The hotel itself and cleanliness is profoundly excellent. But the service and the stuff are dissapoimting. Two TV and blow dry in our suite are not working. 2 hours delayed for check in. So expensive for the dissapointing service.

This is an institution! The building has so much history. However, we were given a room above the reception and the restaurant. It was very noisy. We had to ask to be transferred to a room at the back which we did the 2nd night. There was a wedding and a golf tournament. When these events happen they should not use these rooms. The music lasted long after 10 pm and stopped around 10:45 pm after I called the front desk but the customers kept carrying on. We had a very bad first night.

What with the dining experience I have decided to never stay there again, my money is best spent where it is welcomed, and treated with some respect.

The hotel is good overall. Services was just okay. No one answers the phone! Really, nobody. I requested via email instead, a high floor close to elevator momths before our reservation. I emailed saying I'm staying with my mom who is 80yo and guess what... they put us on the ground floor, all the way to the end of the hotel on the first level! I paid extra for garden view but end up with a so, so room. Then my mom has to walk that far. Ridiculous.They apologized and said they will try to move us next day. Next day come, the front desk was clueless about our room transfer (meaning it was not noted). We have packed and moved out since we are going out to do sightseeing. When we came back they can't give us our room request. Instead offer us a mountain view (not what I paid for) but on the 2nd floor as we like. Frustrating and disappointing.

First, they gave the wrong room to us. Eventually, the receptionist put us in a room with two twin beds, which we originally booked—good thing the number of beds was stated in my confirmation email.
Second, they did not clean the room on the second day. Not to mention our room is for two, but they only have one cup, no utensils, and the refrigerator smelled so bad during the first day.
Third, for a 4-star hotel, their table at the balcony was so dirty. The lock of the door is not working, which made me so uncomfortable during my sleep. I feel not secure!

Overall it was a very comfortable stay. The staff of the hotel did everything they could so it would be a relaxing stay despite the current situation. It was not my first time staying in the Manor but would definitely go back.

The property was very nice in terms of ambiance and location. However, we were not attended to promptly during check-in (very late despite numerous follow ups). Likewise, the restaurant (Le Chef), though the breakfast buffet was really good, had odd rules such as not being able to serve \"Snack\" menu during lunch time which actually makes the dining experience horrible for the guest. This shouldn't be the case as the kitchen surely is just one for both snacks and lunch. It's just an absurd rule for us. The only other comment in terms of room is that the doors keep banging, and people walking down the halls can be heard audibly. Otherwise, staff were attentive and the place was really relaxing. There were a lot of outdoor activities to do.

Our third time to stay here and it's always good. It's a bit pricey but I guess we were paying for the incredible views and overall ambience. Staff is always helpful and pleasant. Breakfast is always a treat as well. We noticed that the first two times we were served moringa tea, it was served in real cups, this time they were served in flimsy paper cups. :-) No big deal, just an observation. Also, there was a nice welcome \"cookie\" last time we were there, but not this time. Downgrading? I hope not. It's actually those little touches that can make a difference. Overall, The Manor did not disappoint.

I did enjoy my stay but some of the staff are not that well trained. Though they try to be helpful sometimes I think their not quick or been properly trained. For instance, I ordered room service and the hotel staff initially said that I can’t charge it to the room but have to pay in cash or credit card. Also the internet connection which is now considered to be mandatory is not reliable. Also the toilet cubicle for men is too small in the hotel restaurant. To sit properly your feet would extend beyond the cubicle door. Having said that, the room was large though the tv screen could be bigger. The food was also good specially the beef tapa!

Enjoyed my nights stay here in one of the suite room to the rear of property in this iconic building .I strayed at John Hay Camp a total of 4 nights but only one at the Manor because of their availability. Check in was great, had to wait for the 2pm check in time before the room was available,but it was worth waiting for.Was offered a hot drink marshmallows and jellybeans by the lovely Kimberly while waiting who also chatted with us on and off to help the 2 hours pass.Loved the suite and walking in the grounds. Not crazy on the restaurant, staff not too friendly and stand offish . Food disappointing , had the chicken curry, bland. My friend, a filipino ,had a filipino dish who also thought it was nothing special.But apart from that all good, staff attentive, and check out good, nearly got caught out, did not realise check out time was 11am. My own check-in process was disappointing and humiliating to me. Also , request for some room service was not accomplished. Management and staff are slacking on maintenance and cleanliness. My family and other family members were here more than a couple of times before andnot only for a couple of nights but weeks at a time. It was great then that is why I was surprised to what has happened to me this time. I will be looking for other hotels in my next trip..

It was a family tradition to spend the holiday season here at The Manor for 4 consecutive years and the feeling is still awesome and great. We believe that this hotel is still the best in Baguio City.

The hotel is beautiful but it's a bit old. Maybe it's part of the charm but sometimes it has a certain smell. Also you have to pay extra for a person even though it can fit in a room. I got a room with 2 double beds which can fit 4 people comfortably. There were 3 of us and i had to pay extra for one person because the room they said was only for 2 which doesnt make sense because they dont have to add an extra bed. I mean the person fits in the room

It was my first overnight stay at Manor. I was very pleased with how the place was decorated for the Christmas season. The ambience was very cozy and of course our 1BR suite was spacious.
Staff at the reception were warm and accommodating. Our luggages were immediately hauled to our room without delay.
A little problem with the shower faucet as a bit of the handle broke when I was about to take my shower. Other than that, the bathroom was fine.
I also enjoyed the bazaar at the Hills and bought a couple of items. Though we missed the light show, we caught the chorale singing and it added beauty to the evening. Marvelous!
I would have loved to get the garden view but I guess I booked too late. Nonetheless, my stay at Manor was truly satisfying and will definitely book again with my family next year.
