Extremely spacious room with two double beds that overlooked the pool, almost like having your own pool. Provided kettle but no microwave as any extra heat in the room sets off the smoke alarms.
We only stayed one night but something set the smoke alarm off in the building and we were told to vacate the property by the fire brigade. Not long before the smoke alarm went off i could smell someone smoking weed.
The pool was good.
The bar also serves very nice pizza and had good live music on the Sunday.
Didn't use the restaurant.
Lovely view overlooking the harbour filled with small boats.

Upon arrival and checking in the receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. Arriving at the room ,which is very spacious, with all the necessary. Turning on the TV was a problem and the toilet seat had come adrift. Going back to report this ,it was actioned promptly. Flat batteries in remote and incorrect. Toilet seat secured but landed up coming off again. Need to change style of seat. Curtains require reclipping into hooks so that they can be opened and closed. Seafood restaurant only open Friday/Saturday which was disappointing as we were looking forward to having this for dinner. Not highlighted on website. Bar area has a good atmosphere but should get rid of broken stools and not be left to the side. Distracts from what could be an even better part of the hotel

The room was clean and in good condition. Things are starting to get a bit dated. VERY LIMITED number of staff are working at any one time. The one poor lady (who checked us in) appeared to have to be doing nearly everything throughout the hotel. Our room had 2 x double/queen size beds and had enough towels etc, but the kitchenette, didn't have any cuttlery in it, had 1 cup, and 2 different sized glass tumblers, 3 x plates and 3 x bowls - not exactly set up for 4 x adults!! There was a note that if we needed anything to go to the restaurant to get it. Also to use a microwave, we would have to walk all throught the hotel to get to the restaurant to heat anything up to eat in our room. Obviously to \"save\" money, if we wanted to order anything from the restaurant, we had to go to a tablet style device, scroll through the various menu items, which contained very little information of the dishes and pay remotely... without seeing/nor speaking with anyone in the restaurant. Not exactly a warming experience - hence we decided NOT to eat dinner or breakfast there, but rather find alternatives elsewhere.

Room was recently refurbished I think. Sofa bed was still in the box on arrival but did get assembled and positioned when we were out one day. But that wasn’t an issue for us and there was no tea spoons.
Beds and other furnishings were very good and comfortable. Staff very helpful.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was very disappointing. When I arrived, the reception desk was unattended, which made check-in unnecessarily difficult. While waiting, I also witnessed the owner arguing with another customer in the lobby, which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable.

The room itself had several issues. One of the seats was broken, and the sofa bed hadn’t even been set up — it was still in a cardboard box, leaning against the wall as if it was waiting to be assembled. Overall, the room gave the impression that it hadn’t been properly checked or maintained.

On top of this, there was no access to the gym as advertised, and there were multiple other maintenance problems throughout the property.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the hotel seriously improves its customer service and addresses the many maintenance concerns.

On arrival, I was told that my booking had been cancelled due to \"room issues\", when i showed my confirmation i was told, sorry, sorry, room cancelled, no more booking. I was told i could get a cash refund on the spot or i could call WOTIF and try to get another booking somewhere else. Only problem is that i had travelled hours with 2 small children and it was storming. I took the cash and of course struggled to get a booking somewhere else and of course paid double the price of my original booking. Beyond angry, rude staff, very unprofessional.

The room was very neglected, the shower head was falling off the wall, the towel rail was falling off the wall, multiple cracked tiles in the bathroom were also loose. The kettle was very dirty inside. Could hear kids running up and down hallways at midnight. The pool area surrounds were filthy with dirt and human hair. The wharf boardwalk had loose planks were coming loose which was dangerous to walk along if you were not looking properly. The whole place is rundown.

Absolutely appalling and heartless customer service.
I booked accommodation and called back within approximately 20 minutes of making the booking to explain that my father had suffered a heart attack the day before. I wasn’t demanding a refund—I simply asked whether the booking could be moved to a later date due to a genuine medical emergency.
The answer was an immediate and blunt no, with no attempt at empathy, flexibility, or basic human decency. What followed was even worse: after the initial refusal, my calls were blocked, including when calling from other numbers. This is not a misunderstanding—this was a deliberate refusal to engage.
I have recordings of the phone calls, which show how dismissive and rude the interaction was. There was no effort to explain policies properly, no escalation, no manager offered—just a wall put up and communication shut down.
Hotels deal with unexpected emergencies every day. Most show at least a minimal level of compassion. This property showed none.
If you value customer service, basic humanity, or even just being treated with respect during a family medical emergency, avoid this place entirely. I will be pursuing this matter further through the appropriate consumer channels

Blood stains on bed sheets, burn hole in Bed covers, black pubic hair on bed sheet, dirty windows, unhygenic tea bags as they had no packaging on them.
Front desk lady was eating food while talking to me, I could see the food in her mouth, it was gross, the restaurant was dirty, the sauce bottles had crusty old sauce all dried around the lid.
The hall way had patch up holes in the walls.
There were dirty laundry bags left in the hall way.
The life was filthy, the lift doors looked like they have never been cleaned.

We booked this accommodation through Wotif for 5 people, but on arrival were told there was no room large enough for our booking. Reception advised a manager would call to resolve the issue, but no one ever followed up. We were ultimately placed in a room with only two beds, with no cot or alternative provided, meaning we had to squash in.
The entire place is extremely disorganised. The young staff on reception and in the bar were clearly undertrained and unsupported. This isn’t a criticism of them personally — management has failed to provide adequate training.
The bar area was messy, with empty drinks left around. The beer tasted awful and had to be refunded and replaced.
When we tried to order dinner, we waited over 40 minutes, then followed up and were told it would be another 30+ minutes. By then it was 8pm and we had young children with us. Again, the staff member taking orders appeared overwhelmed and inexperienced.
We also witnessed another family turned away around 7pm because their booked three-bedroom accommodation was not available — clearly not an isolated issue.
The only positive was that the room itself was clean.
Overall, this stay was exactly as bad as the reviews suggested. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone, especially families. Management seriously needs to improve booking management and staff training.

The staff was friendly and courteous. They tried their best to try and accomodate guest. Even though the hotel is due for an upgrade renovation, the place was secure, quite and peaceful and location was great. The beds was comfy, clean. Close proximity to everything- Paradise Point, Sanctuary Cove, Harbour Town, Southport and Surfers.

The room we received on arrival was like a prison cell then the other was ok but tv and things didn’t work ,I wouldn’t even let my dog sleep in there if I had too it was concrete floors cords over a old mop and bucket sink and wires coming out from the door behind the bed.
I asked to be moved which we where to a room that was at least carpeted but it had 3 different entrances that could be used to enter our sleeping area which all they should have been locked.
Not impressed with our stay and will never stay there again what a waste of our money and not worth the money either for what u receive.

$7.90 for a small breakfast at the restaurant was wonderful, other options available. Freshly made Italian style pizza at the bar with live music in the early evenings was lovely. There's a restaurant in the hotel and a great Thai restaurant and a breakfast cafe within short walking distance. Staff were lovely and kind.

The hotel is looking very tired and needs an update badly.There were no coffee, tea or sugar satchets in the room. No milk or cups.no phone in room to contact reception so had to go down and get some. Tables not cleared in cafe at breakfast for quite some time. I get the impression that they are well understaffed but those I dealt with were very friendly and helpful.

Not, happy at all booked and paid decent $$$ for an apartment with 3 queen beds and got a room with 2 queen beds and a door into a storeroom that had an unmade bed in it, electrical wiring and dirt/mess everywhere.
Bed got made up after 10pm. When questioned about the “2nd room “ was told it’s not a storeroom (even though it had a sign on it saying storeroom. TV did not work.
Overall a very poor situation.

I was disappointed with the level of customer service during my stay. The rooms were not properly cleaned, and the public areas were untidy, with beer bottles and cigarette butts left around. When I called the day before arrival to confirm my booking, the staff declined to check, stating they did not have time, which I found quite unusual and unhelpful. Sheets on bed where dirty,old bottle of water left on the floor in bedroom.toilet not cleaned and cracked plus water leaking internally.air con barely works,swimming pool dirty and pump room door broken.

No security.main fire exit door on ground level lock smashed off and door open for anyone to access building,back door near loading dock wide open and broken can not be shut or locked allowing anyone to access the building.underground car park open to anyone,no boom gate etc no security guard on premises.
My parnter had to ring police to arrest a man that was on drugs and harassing people in the bar area that had walked in off the street.no one took action so we did then left immediately not staying on our last night.

Overall very sad and run down place with no security.highly not recommend!

The hotel is well located with a nice view on the marina. The stay was very pleasant apart from the check in.
First of all, my partner called the hotel a day before to inquire about breakfast, asking if it is including or extra and the person on the phone was very rude and said they couldn't provide this information over the phone, before actually answering!

Then, when we arrived at the hotel, we were given a room number and the code to this room. We entered and started walking around the room, only to realise there were clothes and other items, so there was already someone occupying the room.... that's a pretty strong breach of privacy for this person! The booking system should be updated....

Then we were given another room on another floor and when we came in, we realised the bathroom hadn't been cleaned!
The cleaner who came to clean the bathroom was lovely and even though it wasn't her fault that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in the first place, she worked as quickly as possible so we could use the bathroom.

Overall good but could be much nicer with a better organisation.

Prior to booking, I enquired for an early check in due to a wedding I needed to attend and told no problem, I sent a message asking for check in details the day before, no answer, on arrival I was advised $20 fee for early check in, no issue, was then advised room would be ready in 30 minutes, advised again another 30 mins, all up waited 1hr 10 mins. This establishment is obviously understaffed and in need of maintenance.

Must Try a Lot Harder. Overpriced for what it is.

This was just an 8 hour stay between flights. Checked in no real problem. The lady behind the counter couldn’t decide if she was cleaning the desk area or serving her customer. Her English was poor. The room keyboardcomes in the form of a text message.
A long walk takes us to the door. A degree in micro electronics is required to open it.
What is wrong with a physical key?
Eventually in the room, the ‘harbour view’ that cost extra was lovely except you had to stand on a chair to get it. It’s a misrepresentation in room 2030 to say it’s a harbour view, though the top of some taller masts can be seen.
The room itself was hit and miss. Beds and showers were good enough. Tiles in the bathroom were broken and dangerous.
We wanted to get a few hours sleep before a 24 hour flight to London but this was not possible. First, and worst, 2030 has an adjoining door to a service room ( for no sensible reason that I could see, where someone scrubbed and splashed and created for and hour and woke us. Then the housekeeper bange on the door as she couldn’t remember if she had serviced the room.
You don’t have to check out formally so we just walked out.
At the airport I took a call from the hotel. Another voice that did not speak English well. She wanted to know my name for some reason.

The first room that I was given was horrific. I requested a different room, which was much better, but still very ‘tired’. The room furnishings, upholstery, curtains, carpet need to be replaced. This property is in dire need of a renovations. There were no additional security features on the room’s door. And the front entrance to the property was always left wide open. Additional room services such as cleaning was an additional cost.

This property was not clean. I had to ask for another set of sheets because the sheets had been slept in. There was no remote for the television and it could not be used. Workman began work at 6.30am in the room above us and it was not possible to continue to sleep. We were meant to stay 3 nights but booked out after one night.

Complete Disaster !! When we arrived at the hotel there was no staff at reception then quickly the chef came out and was doing chef and reception, the dining area was completely unorganised the pool had underwear in it at the deep end piles of cigarettes around the pool, there was a smaller pool area that was full of mould and green algae the pool didn’t look like it had been cleaned in weeks or months , our room had COCKROACHES in it, we quickly packed our bags and went to reception and the manager looked disinterested and was unapologetic just asked did we want a refund , some rooms were under renovation which is totally understandable but the halls were left dirty with wood chipping and shaving all down them would definitely not be back and will NOT be recommending to anyone !

You have to pay $8 for a towel. Also found the cake of soap from the previous guest still in the shower. Fair to say I won’t stay here again.

The room curtains were tipped for the price that we paid pwe night did was not satisfactory. I was disappointed that the bathroom in the room was renovated, but there were things that were not completed correctly or nit sealed at all.

This is not a hotel, but a front for a scam. Upon trying to check in (late, having informed the hotel we would be checking in late and having received acknowledgement) there was nobody at reception. Nobody answered the phone, the front doors were wide open, looked liked a total mess. The only people present were the police arresting someone.
We were forced to find accomodation elsewhere - not easy or cheap late at night with young children.
In an attempt to get a refund in the following days - Hotels.com refused, saying they will only provide a refund if the hotel agrees. Of course the hotel did not agree, saying they don’t do check ins after 8pm, and if the guests don’t turn up before 8, they lose the money - even when they have a previous agreement to a late check in. And Hotel.com’s response? Sorry, nothing we can do.
How does Hotels.com take money for a service they haven't provided, knowing they have not provided, then blame a third party for not being able “to process a refund”.
Don’t ever stay at this hotel, and don’t ever use Hotels.com

Title: Very disappointing stay in Room 2021
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

I rarely post negative reviews, but our experience in Room 2021 was far below basic standards. We found two cockroaches—one in the room and another in the bathroom—which immediately raised hygiene concerns. The bedside curtain was broken on one side and wouldn’t close properly. The kettle was filthy inside with black, sticky residue; we didn’t dare use it and had to buy bottled water from the supermarket instead. The bathroom ceiling looked unfinished, with plasterboard visibly exposed.

These issues suggest both poor cleanliness and neglected maintenance. For guest safety and comfort, I recommend a thorough pest treatment, proper deep cleaning and replacement of the kettle, immediate repair of the curtain, and completion of the bathroom ceiling. Until these are addressed, I cannot recommend this hotel.

This is my 3rd and LAST stay at this hotel as it has deteriorated badly and needs complete renovation .. little or no maintenance is carried out on rooms - shower door hanging off frame, toilet seat is broken and swings on toilet, bed sheets not changed , pillow cases soiled, room smelled terrible , dirty carpets , suspected bed lice , pests and cockroaches found running in room , no shelves in room and 2 plastic hangers provided, little or no cutlery, cups and glasses offered in kitchenette , handles on cupboards hanging off , no kitchen cloths or dishwashing liquid, no milk or sugar provided , limited tea and coffee sachets, breakfast service in restaurant is shambles and understaffed with long delays for service. Many horror stories from other guests.. rooms not ready etc… great location, quiet but very poor standards dropping quickly with no maintenance

I was informed via text message my room had been cancelled when on my way to the airport with a friend despite booking and paying for room 4 weeks prior. After texting back disgusted I received a further text to say it was a mistake and they would send me a room number with a code to enable me to check-in on arrival since the reception is only manned from 2-8pm. Poor to no communication. Poor management. On arrival luckily the hotel front door was open. I was able to find a lady near the reception desk fortunately, but she directed us to a room that was already occupied. Eventually escorted us to another room. Nice room with harbour view, but dirty, dust everywhere. Bed clean. No milk or cutlery in kitchen. Met others with similar problems. Pity it is run so poorly as area and surrounding eateries very nice. We chose not to dine in the hotel restaurant. Aged property. Needs updating and definitely new management. Very disappointing.

Disgusting. Sheets were absolutely disgusting and unchanged. Found a mixture of snot and blood blown onto the sheets of one bed.
Chinese owners don’t employ enough staff, carpark littered with rubbish and filthy dirty. No reception staff for long periods of time.
Room had holes in door, bath boarded up, hot water constantly going hot then cold, no cleaning products left for unserviced room. No toaster or utensils.
I think the tight arse Chinese owners would prefer to operate without the appropriate amount of staff to save money which made for an extremely unpleasant experience. Avoid at all costs.
