I like the location, room conditions is ok. However the room needs maintenance, the toilet light was flickering and turn off on its own. The shower handle popped out in the middle of showering for my little one. The on suite shower room is low is height, I have to bend my head to suit a fix shower head which is less than 1.8m. If I stand and stretch my arm, I hit the ceiling with my hand, I am not sure why the shower room height is that short possibly about 1.85-1.90cm. There’s no fan inside the shower room. The floor tiles can be slippery, I almost fell.
I believe the condition can and should be better.
Hope this feedback can help to improve the condition.

We had an issue with the toilet seats being loose/broken which was promptly fixed, however the blinds in the main living area were all needing attention and one actually fell down on the last day while we were there when we tried to roll it up. The unit has been refurbished and is very neat and comfortable. Extra things like hand soap dispensers in the bathrooms are a nice touch and helpful when on holidays instead of soap cakes. It is located a short walk to a G-Tram stop, Australia Fair and the walkways through the Broadwater Parklands are lovely for daily walking. We enjoyed our stay there.

Leave me locked out on The balcony for 1.5 hrs at night because room is poorly maintained and AH people had no idea how to get locksmith access. Main bed light didn’t work. Ensuite taps turn opposite, so I was burnt a few times. All lighting poor light and some took ages to come on. Fire alarm going off at 3.30am??? No explanation. Very expensive for the age of the room. Definitely won’t be returning

Service was helpful and straight forward. Also helped when I was lost or needed advice. The only thing is with expedia you need to point out it was not reserve and pay when arrive. The client actually sends an invoice to pay before which is ok but stipulate this. Also there is a bond that has been taken and not returned yet

Palmerston Tower 7 day Stay

The apartment was clean and equipped to be able to do some self catering. A little way from the supermarket and the tram. Might be better to be a couple of blocks closer to Southport.

It was necessary to request both towels and toilet rolls to cover the 7 day stay, no biggy, however it felt like there was a chance the management were going to turn me down 😳. For a week stay I do expect more than 2 towels and 2 loo rolls, call me needy.

The only good thing about the property is location. The apartment condition is terrible. The milk packet in our room was expired three months back, like how can you not see that. The couch in the room is old, had some holes in it. We move the bed in bedroom and found so many things under the bed. Our overall experience was horrible. Please dont book it if you want a good stay!

Great location especially for little kids who can enjoy playing in the Broadwater Parkland’s amazing rockpools water play area. But bring your own shampoo and conditioner... also none of the lamps worked which was mildly inconvenient. Our kids also adored the pool on site.

Stayed for a week, as hotel is six minutes from Gold Coast Private Hospital. Managers were friendly and informative of the hotel and local area. Friendly every time you ran into them. I spent hours in the swimming pool. Hotel is close to shopping centres, supermarkets, where I spent way too much. If required, I would have stayed another week.

Whilst apartment was spacious and linen & crockery clean and sparkling, with new aircon curtains and fans, the condition of the vanities and wardrobes was very much less than fair. The mattress was too firm and springs could be felt when sleeping.

Rip off schemeing unorganised management

So the room was good, props to the property owners. Apperantly having a hard time to sell the place. Couldn’t see why until I come into contact with the owners/management. So after I had already paid for the place, checked in and was done and dusted the owner peter was looking over my things and starts hassling me about my luggage (a milk crate of clean car parts) tells me if i bring that inside i have to pay a deposit. I said ok I won’t bring them in but he starts hassling me for more money creating an unnecessary situation and even started going through my things as an invasion of privacy! I complied even
Tho unsettled about it and afterwards apologised for arguing back because I wanted a hassle free stay. But constantly he’s lurking around looking in my vehicle (along with other residents) really just making me uncomfortable. The day I move out he tells me as I’m walking out the door, “I’ll release the $250 security deposit, no problem”. Still today (2 weeks later) there is still no release of funds, I’ve had numerous conversations with them asking for and they start accusing me of trying to get “free money” and all sorts. They’ve also told me they released it and “have been in contact with bank but don’t know what the problem is”. So I asked for proof of this releasing of funds transactions and they tried to fool me with my own recipet of me paying them the money!! I’m actually Appalled by thier customer service skills etc.
Still waiting... NEVER come here!!!!!

I really loved staying at Palmerston because it has that home feeling which i prefer. Tony and Katy were absolutely wonderful managers that were very accommodating especially when I needed to stay longer and they were able to make that happen on short notice. Highly recommend staying at Palmerston. Plus, the views of Broadwater are beautiful and close to shops

Disappointing accomodation

I was most disappointed with the accomodation it was nothing like the pictures I looked at when booking. The room had several faults. Bathroom walls had mould on them I had to ask for them to be cleaned properly. The main bedroom side cupboard had a broken drawer and the cutlery drawer in the kitchen was also broken. Plaster coming off main bedroom wall. The bedrooms and lounge had no ceiling lights so you had to walk into the middle of the bedroom in darkness at night to turn the lamp on and you could not read at night in the lounge because of no light. The second bedroom wardrobe had carpet scraps and other junk left in it. Cutlery had to be cleaned before use as it was dirty on arrival. Second bathroom had no towel or soap holders. Laundry cupboard was rusty. The mat in the lounge had rolled edges causing tripping hazard. The rooms were also very noisy, I would not ever go back again, the place needs a big renovation or drastically reduce the cost to better represent the current accomodation standard. Pictures on website need to be changed to show the real condition of the rooms so other people are not faced with what we had to put up with.

The staff were very helpful and always available when needed. There was secure lockup garage and easy access to everything. The rooms were very nice and well spaced out. Plenty of room for 4 people to move about without constantly running into each other.

Wouldn't come back unfortunately, for the following reasons:
* Unit looked nothing like the picture. Ours (13A) was much more dated. That is misleading advertising.
* ALL the vertical blinds in our unit did not work. We had no way of blocking out the sun, or getting privacy.
* Curtains in bedroom 2 did not block out the light in any way. We ended up having to swap rooms with our toddler so he could sleep.
* TV was absolutely dreadful. You had to stand within 1.5 metres of it to hear anything. Sounds like you're trying to listen through an earphone jack. Would highly recommend the managers actually go and listen for themselves. Worst TV we've ever come across.
* Total of 7 light bulbs not working.
* One of the beds had a broken base.
* For an 8 night stay, we were provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper. Our towels were never changed. Nor were our sheets. The cleaners turned up at 2.45pm two afternoons before we left, but as our son was asleep, we organised for them to come the following morning at 10am but they never turned up. Very disappointed with the lack of service.
* There is a leak in the closet in the master bedroom.
* Coins jammed in DVD player. It would not work.
* No hairdryer.
* Workers building the new building right outside our windows start work each morning at 6.30am.
We were really looking forward to staying in the beautiful room pictured for the week but were terribly disappointed. A lot of these issues can be easily addressed.

We loved the room we got, it suited the whole family for our January holiday. It was close to the shops & movies! We love being near Surfers but not to close. The construction next door was even ok, interesting to watch! we were out most of the day anyway. The staff were very helpful & friendly, I'd stay here again definitely.

We chose the Apartment because we knew the area . The unit we were in offered the bare essentials . Fixtures were old and needed a bit of TLC. Shower screen faulty
The Key entry to the garages was difficult to insert (too close to the wall) -no problem with the exit

Convenient location. Short walking distance to shops and restaurants. Also there are big public parklands right across the road from the property. The room rates (fees) were very good for what you get. I received warm welcome and hospitality from the property manager, Sandra. She was very patient and explained everything very clearly to me when I checked in. I also appreciate the very nice, expansive view to the Spit and the ocean from the room (it was on the 12th floor).

Run down, not worth the money

The room is old and tired. No lock on the unit door other than the push button on the handle. The shower in the ensuite was clogged and we couldn't use it. The mattress in the main bedroom needs replacing, when you lie on it you roll to the middle. We had 2 light bulbs blow during our 5 night stay. There was no plug for the kitchen sink. The fridge was either freezing food or not cold at all. No ice cube trays, no bottle opener, no sharp knife. There was sand in the pool and spa. There was a construction site right next to our unit and we were not advised of this prior to check in. No chance of a sleep in. No Air con. The staff were nice but this place need a major update. Overpriced for what we got.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay, the hotel managers were great. The location is great however if you are a clean freak this place isn't for you. It was fine for our family though, especially when you consider the value for money proposition.
They are doing maintenance which should help improve the standard. Our unit had a brand new bathroom and fairly new kitchen.
The beach close by, is nice to walk along, but not for swimming, which was hard to tell when we booked, based on the information available.

Our room had not been cleaned on our arrival. Organised for us to go to another room for the night then moved us back to original room. Both rooms needed maintenance. Dryers in both rooms didn't work properly. Cupboards falling apart and shower screens broken. Badly needs renovating.

We faced havoc in using night key to operate the lift, our apt. on 11th fl. The key did not fit into the key hole. Thank God after a few minutes the lift came down with other guest so we could get back to 11th floor. There was such a stench in the hall way like dead fish odour. We report to staff and they said they have done everything, by the third day we again urge them to clean the hallway carpet to clear the awful stench. Then they did something to spray carpet and took away some of the odour. It was the most unpleasant experience we ever had with any accomodation, there was also a small hole.on the wall of bedroom.

V-Nice Relief manager but Well Below Expectation

Location is on the busy road and next to construction site, that said good views over the Broadwater. Carpets awful, stained and even had a burn mark, couch stained, roof dirty, walls marked, fans squeaked so couldn't sleep so didn't use, bed not comfortable and also squeaked very badly when rolled over. It is early 1980s and hasn't been touched. The tariff reflects the location and age but still it was well below standard. New carpets and a coat of paint top to bottom and new beds and ceiling fans are the minimum if we were ever to consider going back, We left after first night of three.are a minimum. relief manager Sandra was very understanding and very reasonable. She would be the only reason we might return. Sorry guys but this one is a big fail for us. We went to Main Beach, more expensive but much much better.

The room we had with my Family was terrible holes and marks all over as the stay went on we found big cob webs in corners of most windows, the view on our level was spectacular, real shame, if i had of known all that before the stay i would have made a demand for another room or a redund.

Air con unserviceable on arrival, fans noisy and no screen on balcony door.
So....... arrived very late and just wanted to crash in air conditioned comfort. I couldn't achieve that goal as the night was hot, fans were noisy and couldn't even open the balcony door for fresh air. Requested new room and \"relief \" manager was tetchy about his \"being in bed\" when I rang to request help. Won't go there again.

Amazing views of broad water with dolphins swimmin

Great position, we were on the 14th floor over looking the broad water, amazing views with dolphins swimming in front of us. Apartment has been recently renovated and was extremely comfortable, with large balcony, only thing that let's this excellent apartment down is the outdated lift - which I got stuck in, & the pool area is in need of a makeover, had a very comfortable relaxing holiday

What an awesome experience I had at this hotel. I had a 7 night stay on the 7th floor with spectacular views and outstanding room. The hotel was accessible to all sorts of markets, shopping malls, attractions for families,
and transport and some within walking distance. Everyday was different with early rise and obviously late to bed as the night views were just as spectacular from the very large balcony. I have recommended this hotel to a few people in New Zealand and I have also inquired about booking for the future, Mandy and Graham the hotel managers, thank you so much for all your hospitality and as I said I will be back 2016 and 2017 with the whanau.

Whilst the location and views are good, and the pool area is lovely, the apartment was just adequate. We were in 15C and this room needs a complete over-haul...or at least a deep clean. It does not look anything like the photos advertised. The room was spacious but very out-of-date and in need of repair. The kitchen had a stove that barely works, the walls and bathroom tiles were grungy, no screens on windows or doors, and no over-head light in the bedrooms (only 1 lamp). We were disappointed that the Apartments' website mentioned Austar but we did not have this in our room. Luckily we were only staying 2 nights and were out and about most of the time, as we would not stay here again.

First room was disgusting. Not clean. Open condom wrapper on bedroom floor. Was lucky enough to be able to move rooms. Second room was ok. Very dated apartments. 4 person room with 3 seater lounge only. Only 3 TV channels. No free to air TV. Mid stay clean only comprises of change of towels and sheets - they don't clean the floors or anything.

Great view but the traffic noise was pretty bad even on the 7th floor. Also, linoleum on floor a bit tacky. The kitchen cupboards in need of repair and the cooker bit 80s. Think 3 1/2 rating a stretch. Hotel staff quite helpful, manager even brought the wifi code to our room. However, printer not working so couldn't get a receipt and has not turned up by email as promised.

Great view from 15th Floor

Good position for our 3 night stay
Close to all amenities.
Rather tired Could do with a good overhaul. Not what you expect for a 3 night stay. Ok for self accommodating holiday. No real problems just a little disappointing

Good value for money.

Scored a large 2 bed/2 bath unit for $90 a night. Easy car access. Clean. Tidy. Great location. Terrific views over Sea World to Ocean and west to mountains. Just a bit run down and in need of renovation. But for 90 bucks?? Sure!!
