No member of staff to check me in. Just a mate doing a favour who stated… ‘He wasn’t being paid and didn’t care if we stayed. You people with money come expecting it to be 4* or 5*, it the bottom of the barrel, the pits go and stay at…’ At this point I hadn’t even got through the door, the guy was aggressive and hostile, I had only told him my name and that I had booked. After listening to home rant I said again I’ve booked that I had just flown from the UK and needed a room to sleep in. I wasn’t worried about its stars and I’m not a person with a lot of money trying to find something for nothing as implied.
He then looked at the booking and realised he’d given a walk-in my room believing them to be my booking. He said he had one more room. By now 25 minutes had gone by and I was struggling to stand. I have multiple sclerosis. The guy had now calmed down and was engaging with me but now everything was about religion and him. By the time I got back to my car 4 minutes had pasted.
I took my wife up three flights of stairs, we are both disabled and had booked a ground floor room. When we entered the room we found live cockroaches in the bathroom and dead squashed cockroaches throughout the small room. After pulling back the sheets and exposing the mattress we found evidence of bedbugs. We locked the keys in the room and left the accommodation. It was not sanitary to stay there.

Only stayed here due to an impromptu weekend away, but place could do with some work, obviously just get pelted by a storm, but room had flakey paint everywhere, hot water system needs work, family of 4 couldn't shower for dinner because the hot water runs out. Unfortunately probably won't be back anytime soon.

I used to live in the area, so everything was familiar and comfortable. The service was great, the staff were friendly and helpful. Hopefully I can book in again for my next trip to the Gold Coast as it definitely was value for money 👌

Main issue - we had a room on the second floor - no lifts, so had to lug bags up four flights of stairs... but obviously we didn't research enough.
Other comments - rather run down but that is to be expected in a property of this age and price.
If cosmetices and stairs aren't a problem, I'd highly recommend this property.

The staff were excellent making the check in/out a very smooth and quick process. They went out of their way to assist me. The facilities were well above the current rating. Room and amenities were very good, Pool an excellent way to start and finish a day. Carpark space big enough for our large vehicle. Will visit and stay here again in the future. I recommend that people looking at this place for accommodation go past all the negative reviews and decide for themselves, you will be pleasently surprised.

Extremely loud position. Room was 10meters off a set of lights on a highway. Flet I was trying to sleep on a race track all hours of the night. I wondered why there was ear plugs on the room directory folder, I figured out why around 3am when I couldn’t sleep because of the thin glass and constant reving of cars.

Rooms are very poorly maintained, we had several issues- tap spraying water everywhere, toaster broken, front security door broken and unable to be locked, glass doors bent meaning they could admit insects, wardrobe doors not able to be moved.
Staff rectified some of these issues but in general the room was in very poor condition, and did not smell nice. It also was insufficiently clean.
Cooking utensils such as saucepans were in poor condition - flaking with unsafe to use Teflon.

Great upgrades since i last stayed 10 years ago, pool are still excellent condition, only part that was a bummer was the portable induction stove disnt work.

After booking, I read some negative reviews, so arrived with a somewhat negative attitude. I found that the room was clean and did not smell at all. Very pleased. Another reviewer said that the deposit was slow being returned. Mine arrived in my bank the next day. The room and bedding was clean but the architecture needed renewal with attention to detail. Work done was sub standard which lowered the presentation considerably. The chairs were old and we needed to put a cushion on them to sit comfortably at all. The kitchen was basic and needs some attention. The location and access to shops on the sea front was excellent. Lots of walks and things to see. Close to Gold Coast Village with public transport available. In conclusion, If you want a place to stay without these rustic features, pay a lot more and you will get it elsewhere. Would I stay there again, YES.

The parking spaces are to narrow and you can’t get into the parking area properly or out of your car without hitting your car or someone else’s. So the best option is to park on the street if you can find a spot. Our room had patches all over the walls and the bathroom door was coming apart at the bottom.There was an unpleasant smell in the room when we entered, so we had to open everything up.

For what I paid for one night, it was good value. The motel is decades old, but has been renovated and the room was comfortable, clean and we had a good night's sleep. It's on a main road, so a bit noisy but okay after 10 pm. The pool and grounds were perfect. It's very well taken care of. We were asked for $100 deposit which they charged me for immediately. TV, bed, fridge, kitchen stuff were all new. We ate out but could have coked a meal there if we wanted to. Nice big sliding door for breeze, fan and AC. We would stay again.

Apartment had no smokes alarms, no air con working, no exhaust in bathroom, poorly structured with basic repairs, badly stained mattress, badly stained cooktop, drawer and wardrobe did not fit correctly. Lamp shades looked like someone had stabbed them with slits in them, locking devices were not up to standard. I would not be recommending these apartments and suggest a health inspector review its condition.

The door handle into my room was attached with Gaffa tape. No proper locks on doors, just standard push button as you close. Stunk of cigarettes and ashtrays on outdoor table were unemptied. I would not suggest anyone ever stay there

It was clean and overall good except it was very, very noisy - the traffic noise coming from both the front of the unit and the back - double glazed windows probably would reduce a lot of that. Plus the shower ran out of hot water very quickly so you couldn't have a decent shower, and that was inconvenient and a big nuisance! I hardly used the hot water in general, and so expected to have a good shower. I'd recommend fitting an efficient shower head that reduces the volume of water, but sprays over a larger area, otherwise your geyser is far too small.

The place was older and not kept up, did not have elevators or any units that was on or close to ground floor. When we wanted to cancel and get a refund, they had given us the run around and the head manager didn’t even want to come out to discuss anything with us, but sent the sacrificial lamb to deal with us.I don’t recommended this place to anyone, until the place is updated and the pictures were deceptive, make the place look better than the facility actually is. Thank God, for a few dollars more, we were able to secure a beautiful apartment in Broadbeach, with a wonderful owner on premises.
