Ideal spot for a relaxing stay. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Restaurants and cafes at Chirn Park are excellent albeit 20 minute walk. Restaurants and Cafes at Broadwater and near Aqua Building are very good and only 10 minute walk. Extended our stay for an extra 2 weeks

We stayed in the Standard 2 bed apartment. The location is good, view of the Broadwater and handy to shops, parks etc. pool was good.

This apartment is in need of an upgrade unfortunately. Doors on balcony don’t lock, aircon noisy & smelly. Damp smell through apartment so had to really open all doors for airflow. Carpet sticky, couches in need of replacement, toilet roll holder broken & a few other small things. Balcony furniture old. Fans were dusty.

Would stay again but in an upgraded apartment.

Staff were courteous and welcoming. Check in and check out were seemless and easy. The apartment could do with some extra cleaning of fans in bathroom, spa jets and ledges on big windows. TV and wall fan in one of the bedrooms did not work so that was disappointing but overall our stay was good. Location was excellent for what we needed also.

The staff were friendly and the location was excellent, with beautiful water views. However, the apartment itself was very disappointing. Two of the rooms did not have air conditioning, and one room has a water heater installed in the room with no ventilation considerations. There was no consideration for guest comfort, as proper ventilation or air conditioning should be essential.

None of the bathrooms had locks, which was unexpected and uncomfortable, especially as they were shared bathrooms. The utensils were not clean, and the apartment overall felt poorly maintained and in need of renovation.

There were also no bin bags provided for our four-night stay. While the views were great, the apartment did not justify the price we paid. Compared to our previous stays across Australia, this fell well below our expectations.

Staff was really friendly and overall it was very clean, bedsheets etc. The room I had had a really old and dirty looking/ stained carpet and mat. If I didn't have a toddler I wouldn't have cared, but felt a bit yucky. Also there was no ceiling fan in the bedroom

This was the first time I have stayed at this property and it was absolutley wonderful. The apartment was beautifully kept, the view was stil beautiful even though blocked by road side trees. Staff were amazing when I advised of the 3 very minor issues upon leaving. The pool, saunas, bbq area and eating area were well kept and clean as well. Very short walk around the corner to a bus that can take you into the city or out to Sea world. Great location. I will definatley be booking again.

This was our 2nd stay at Crystal Bay in two years. We love the location, cleanliness and presentation of the apartments, also the place is mobility friendly. We have marked it down purely because the wifi was so unreliable. Traveling from another country we relied on wifi for communicating with family and friends and also for planning our sightseeing and venues for the days ahead. We were mostly unable to do this during our 8 day stay so it would be something we would seriously consider when planning any future visit to the GC.

After hours check in was shocking. Arrived at 630pm and waited 30 minutes before I managed to get someone to answer the after hours call.
Great location, and room had plenty of space. But appliances were old and broken, showers were old and broken. In general the place needs work.

As a business traveller, would have been good to know that Reception is open 08:30-17:00. Arrival after 17:00 wasn't an issue as I called & got in via a dropbox, but I was then told I had to hang around until 08:30 the next morning to provide ID & credit card; not ideal when working. The gym did not open until 07:30 - again not good for someone who works out at 05:00. That said, the area around the hotel is beautiful so morning gym was replaced by morning walks. The promised VIP bottle of wine was absent; not an issue as I don't drink, but not the VIP perk advertised. I will probably stay again & ensure I check in before 17:00 on the first day.

Very average property

Very basic accommodation and an old property whose apartments haven’t been updated at all since being built many years ago.
Room was old and not very well maintained and smelt of old cooking smells and poor drainage. Whilst IK and good value for one night or two. I wouldn’t choose it for an extended stay.

Crystal Bay is located in a quite, peaceful area with a stunning veiw. Gas station, coffee shop, convenience store ect are all within walking distance. The rooms are self contained and supplied with everything you need for a easy and comfortable stay. As well as a pool, spa, barbecue area, gym ect. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We (family of 4) stayed for 6 nights in 2 bedroom apartment and it was a great stay. Apartment was clean, tidy and spacious with balcony. It has a secure car parking at the basement with easy access via lift. Kitchen, laundary appliances etc was all working.
It has nice clean pool and spa, kids loved it.

Only con is that they provided 1 day of basic supply items like toiletries, dishwasher soap and we are suppose to buy our own.

Overall happy with the stay.

Stayed in a one bedroom apartment which only had aircon in the lounge room however a pedistal fan was provided in the room. Wasn’t an issue as it was just myself and my partner. Downside- 3 bedrooms and only one had air con, fridge was old and had cracked tray, only cne with small milk, no water or mini bar.
No breakfast.

The upsides.

Furniture was tired and dirty looking. Kitchen stove top not cleaned. Found old broccoli in the crisper that was mouldy. Fridge not working when we got there. As soon as I mentioned it they had someone fix it that day. The pool area was nice but had some broken tiles and it looked a bit mouldy around those broken tiles. The accommodation has floor to ceiling windows which made the accommodation extremely hot. We needed the air conditioning on all the time. In the main bedroom there was a musty smell coming from air conditioning which was unpleasant. Would not recommend for the price paid.

Nice location

Easy to check-in after hours. The apartment we got was on second floor so views from balcony was obstructed by trees. The apartment had all you need, only noticed the sofa had broken legs which was fixed by maintenance. Overall good stay.
