I always enjoy staying at Maldives Resort when I visit the Gold Coast. I especially appreciate the handy location at Main Beach and the allocated underground parking space. Unfortunately, the particular apartment I was allocated to for this visit had a noticeably noisy fridge, even worse at times. With not being able to shut the bedroom door (obstructed by the bed) this was very annoying.

We were very surprised by this hotel. It is an older style building but was an amazing place to stay. Reception staff were very friendly. The room was clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfy and the shower had great water pressure. The view was amazing and it was walking distance to everything.

The location is central to a variety of restaurants and attractions most of which are just a leisurely stroll away including surfers paradise and the spit and the beach is even closer. The units are designed to make the most of the coastal views which are spectacular. Our unit was very comfortable and held everything you could need for a short stay and was faultlessly clean. We will definitely be returning to The Maldives Resort.

Lovely property very close to the beach. Washer/dryer very handy (but we used the drying rack on the balcony rather than heat up the room - clothes dried well overnight). Staff were friendly and responsive. Check-in and checkout couldn’t have been easier. The suite was nicely furnished and kitchen was well equipped. Pool was lovely with lots of lounge chairs available. We had no car but there were a few nice restaurants (le Jardin was excellent for brunch, and Domanis had great thin crust pizza) and shops within about 3 minute walk, tram about 5 minutes, and a Metro grocery store about 10-15 minutes. Would recommend this place if you’re looking for something outside the bustle of the really busy (during school break) Surfers Paradise. The only downside during our stay had nothing to do with the property itself - there is a lot of construction happening in the immediate area so noise started early. Bring earplugs if that bothers you!

I was there for 10 days at $300 per day. Service only on day 5 change of linen only no vacuuming or cleaning of bathroom done once on my repeated request. No cleaning products or cloths available. Useless carpet sweeper provided. Flat batteries in the remote had to buy my own. Nice clean washer and dryer. I appreciated the drying rack. Nice balcony with sea view. Nice clean pool and spa. Wardrobe full of junk.

Appreciated the SMS with the after hours access process which made it hassle free whenever we arrived. The unit was on the 10th floor facing the ocean and it was extremely comfortable. The layout was spacious, the bedroom was quiet and the balcony added to the experience of being close to the surf. The rooms were cool and well laid out. Full kitchen was an added bonus. Can’t fault anything and the pool area was very welcoming.

Great spot near the beach and a huge range of excellent eating places. My apartment on the 14th floor had everything you need. I didn't use the air con, just opened the window and balcony doors for beautiful sea breezes and sound of waves during the night. Great shower - fast to heat up and excellent water pressure. The decor is not flash but you have what you need. Check in was via keys in a safe but it went smoothly. Enjoyable 2 day stay.

Arrived around 3 on a Saturday and still the reception wasn’t open, which is fine because I’ve dealt with out of hours before. But on arrival you press a number on the key pad by locked hotel doors to dial the “reception”, who then ask you for your full details before they’ll open the doors. I then had to give my full credit card details over intercom with people standing around me. Really secure.
Got to the room and there’s leopard print tweezers hanging off the lamp in plain sight which has me questioning whether anyone’s actually cleaned the room. I’m pretty sure the answer is no because we woke the next morning with swollen red eyes and sneezing so bad we could barely take a breath.

Stayed Saturday night as the hotel was close to the office Christmas party. Nice clean room, nice balcony, plenty of space. We didn’t use the kitchen but it looked useable and had everything you would need with a full sized fridge. Office wasn’t manned Saturday afternoon for checkin but the after hours service was easy to use. Nice cafes and restaurants, a convenience store and bottle shop just around the corner. Close to the beach as well. Would stay here again.

We had an excellent time at the Maldives resort. In 1504, we were on the top floor in a superior ocean view room. The view from the wrap-around balcony was absolutely fantastic. It really made for a lovely time relaxing out there, and we had some meals on the outdoor table. The apartment was a great size, and came with enough amenities to get the most out of your stay, including a washer, dryer, and small kitchen, plus a nice pool downstairs and easy undercover parking. For the price we paid it was really great. We had a lovely stay and recommend it.
