Great entertainment for kids. Old rooms still a bit dated (90’s feel). New rooms are great. Staff not very engaging. Would have like simple salad sandwich or wrap on the restaurant lunch menu. Had to pay for all the extra kids activities, fair enough, but they were pricy. Otherwise, a good experience.

We recently stayed here as a family and overall had a mixed experience.

The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. The kids’ activities were excellent, and the pool setup is fantastic for families - it’s clearly designed with kids in mind and was one of the highlights.

The main issue was pool access. There didn’t seem to be any monitoring of who was using the hotel pool, and on multiple days we encountered large groups who openly said they weren’t staying at the hotel. They were set up for the day with coolers, which made it nearly impossible for actual guests to secure a spot. That was frustrating given the room rates.

The rooms themselves felt tired - more like a run-down motel than a resort at this price point. It gave the impression that only minimal maintenance is being done ahead of a future renovation. For what we paid, this was disappointing.

On the positive side, the location is excellent. It’s a short walk to the tram, and the bus to SeaWorld stops right out the front, which made getting around very easy.

In summary: great staff, great facilities for kids, and a convenient location - but the condition of the rooms and lack of pool access control detracted from the overall value.

An exceptional weekend away for our family. Food, service, activities, facilities and the staff were top notch. We will be staying at this resort from now on and we have stayed at a lot of different places in surfers. Perfect for families as they have a kids club and so many activiyfor children teens and adults.

Room was very clean with daily servicing. Staff helpful and friendly. Would love to have had breakfast facilities in the room (toaster, plates, bowls, cutlery, tea towel etc). Bathroom very stuffy as there's no exhaust fan so as soon as you get out of shower you feel clammy and wet again! Excellent water park and pool areas. Never-ending entertainment and activities for kids and adults! Spent way more money than I budgeted for (single parent) due to snacks/meals due to lack of kitchen facilities. Overall, an excellent holiday destination and we will be back!

It was very family friendly however there were a few things that could be improved on!
The in room kitchen amenities made it so you could only microwave food, there was no other means for you to cook your own food and you basically Had to purchase from their restaurant or elsewhere.
The doors to the room didn’t stay open, they were automatically closing which made it difficult to get things in and out of the room.
Some menu items were equally priced despite having significant differences in offering eg the loaded nachos was $18 whether you had the beef or the vegetarian. The vegetarian only
Came with guacamole and sour cream, no salad, cheese, beans or salsa. But the beef came with beef, beans and guacamole and sour cream. I was told to pay extra for basic salads and cheese on my vegetarian option.
There was no happy hour for the bar!
I would have appreciated some low cost/ no cost craft activities like painting or a simple kids craft. Especially when it rained and activity options were limited to costly experiences.

Child drowned in pool but was luckily resuscitated by guest. No lifeguard, pool packed like sardines hard to supervise. Run down in Astro quarters view outside like 3rd world country. Couldn’t book skating as they double dip and let public book it.

This is an ideal family holiday for families with kids below 10 years or so. The facilities aren't luxury, nor are the rooms, but the fun and options for kids doesn’t end. The two waterparks are perfect to entertain the kids while parents enjoy a cold beverage and the family trivia and entertain is just what you need to end the day with a good laugh. So do yourself a favour and book your next holiday in family paradise.

The language coming from a child in the play area in reception was highly offensive but was not stopped, and check-in was not welcoming or on time. The view from our room was over a construction area, and the door to the adjoining room was open despite another family staying next to us.

Can not fault anything from our stay at Paradise Resort! The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. I also requested first aid treatment and was well taken care of. The rooms were clean, the food was amazing and all the facilities and activities were top tier! Highly recommend.

Front staff who worked VIP desk gave us the wrong room key when we opened it people were in there (had to cover my kids eyes) & then we called down to reception was rudely told to just come back to reception and swap keys. Terrible start.

Overall satisfactory, outdated resort, nothing is included and you have to book parking separately in advanced (this wasnt clear when booking the room) so we had to find public parking elsewhere as it was full. Tje toiket cistern was running when we got to our room but called the reception who had it fixed. However the kids liked the indoor play space in the entry and the waterpark area. One night was enough.

Paid the extra money to stay at a resort that only to find out the main water park is broken after we arrived and a refund was not possible. Had to pay an additional fee to park my vehicle and was kept up until late due to kids running through the halls banging on doors.

Rooms extremely outdated, and in dire need of renovating. Our bathroom taps were broken and the toilet cistern was constantly running. There’s no aircon in the hallways and the kids bedroom had no aircon either. The food is really expensive and low quality. The train wasn’t running and the experience just wasn’t what was advertised. Our son loved the pool areas and the playground but not worth paying so much to play and swim when we could do that elsewhere. Glad we’ve done it, but wouldn’t return.

The range of experiences for the children (waterparks, playground, daily activities etc.) was fantastic. The change rooms and bathrooms downstairs (LG level) were quite old but also not very clean. At one point every toilet in the women's bathroom was blocked/soiled so we chose not to use them and went upstairs. This was the only downside to our stay.

As a family of 6 (two under 5 and two pre teens) this place was great. Unfortunately we were put in the Astro building which i believe was the only one that hasnt been refubished yet so our room was quite run down. The fact there was only air conditioning in the bedroom was frustrating as it was very hot in the other room with one fan beside rhe TV - maybe a celing fan would work better. The kitchenette was poorly set out with the only plug above the sink so was quite dangerous trying to use toaster and jug while having them balance on the side of the sink. There was no chopping board, dish cloth/scrubber and the bowls were very small.
I wasn't aware you had to take your own pool towels but we managed to make do as the room was serviced daily with fresh towels which was nice. The staff were very friendly and super helpful.

We stayed in a Superior Room in the Captain’s Quarters, facing the quiet street out back, and it was perfect for us. The only thing that could be improved is having a fan in the bathroom, as it took quite a while for the steam to clear before you could use the mirror.
There’s great family-oriented entertainment and plenty of activities for both kids and adults. The on-site convenience store was really handy. The pool and water park were both fantastic. The spa was always crowded with little kids, but that’s to be expected.
The food was amazing and convenient, with a great selection. The staff were always friendly and accommodating too.
We’ll definitely visit again in the future!

Cleaners did an awesome job! Loved having the beds made every day. Staff very kind, helpful and considerate. Food prices extremely high and food quality was very sub-standard. One of the staff at Penguins restaurant got annoyed with us for ordering milkshakes twice. When i pulled him up on it he apologised. Overall a great stay and kids loved it.

The waterpark was great and the recently renovated room nice.That's about where it stops. Everything was so far overpriced it was ridiculous. We've stayed at the Hilton with cheaper (and higher quality f&b) prices.
No room charge allowed for anything, which is super frustrating that they don't tell you this on check in. Not too many different dining options. We paid extra for breakfast buffet that should not be called a buffet! You can't even serve yourself like a regular buffet. Very limited options, but many many extras if you're willing to pay exorbitant prices.

Very tired “resort”. Construction happening but we were in a very dated area. Room had obvious mould and dirt, very un-sound proof and really wasn’t enjoyable. Restaurant pricing was crazy for the buffet, especially with coeliac kids who can’t eat most of the food. Really not worth it.

Excellent place to stay! This is our second time staying at Paradise Resort and we will continue to stay with them every time we go back to the Gold Coast!
Super convenient location, close to the beach, shopping and restaurants BUT you won’t need to leave the resort at all if you don’t want to, as they have everything you need in there!
All day activities for the kids, restaurants, convenience store etc
We can not fault it at all! Super recommended
