The view of the Ocean and the beach was great, as was the location. But the floor in the main bedroom had been wet at some point and had started it lift, making it very unsafe. The bathrooms had been renovated recently, but the shower shelf hadn't been replaced, meaning saop, shampoo etc had to go on the floor.

Was pretty disappointed with this stay, the whole room was covered in bugs, alive and dead, in the bathroom, in the kitchen just hundreds of moths and other critters, the room also had a very strong bad smell of cleaning products of some sort almost as if it was sprayed to cover another smell, the master bedroom didn’t have a window that was able to be opened so it was very hot and stuffy. When we tried to turn on the aircon we noticed a lot of mold on top and around it and it was broken and did not turn on anyway. I’m very displeased with this stay and would not recommend anyone visits here

The receptionist was so rude , very dry and was talking to us like we were dumb people. Terrible woman
The building manager , oh god watch out for him , also very rude and got in my face when asked about access to the carpark bins. Oh man he is disgusting.

But other then that , room we had was absolutely gorgeous and stunning, very clean and had beach views. Kitchen amenities as well access to indoor outdoor pools

Will I stay here again..... Highly unlikely

If you are looking for somewhere fancy to stay, this accommodation is not for you.
BUT if you are looking for unparalleled ocean views thats family friendly and close to everything, this is definitely the place for you.
Sure its old and seen better days, but the plus side is its roomy, has everything you need and super friendly staff.
We will 100% stay there again.

We booked for 6 nights but left after one night & found somewhere else. It was dirty, smelly, dusty. The TV, airconditioner, didn’t work. No batteries! We bought some & they still didn’t work.Was told we would have to wait till they got the maintainable worker to check it out….. The hot water in the shower was minimal. The lobby on level 12 stunk like 40 years of never being cleaned. Wouldn’t walk in bare feet anywhere. The bed was small & old. Scary all round. Veranda had black dust on it. Windows didn’t fit properly anymore so old. So loud. Looks like they are running it into the ground before they knock it down. I’d expect more from Accor. It’s not exactly cheap. We were offered another room we went to see it. It was just as bad. No thanks! I couldn’t wait to get out of there & have a shower somewhere clean. I didn’t go anywhere near the kitchen to scared. Little roaches running around…vomit! And we had the refurbished room!
If you value cleanliness I wouldn’t stay here.
Just so disappointing we had to go find another place & waste our time doing that. They still charged us for one night. But the only good thing is we did eventually get a refund for the 5 nights.
Never again!

The location of the hotel is very good, but because the hotel rooms are old, the smell of old carpets and old furniture will become very unpleasant, and the room cleaning is not very clean. When I checked in, I found black spots on the pillowcases.

The photos you see online to book look good but the actual apartments were very old, mould in the kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen had a bad smell and there was dirt in the corners and the kitchen cupboards were filthy. When it rained, the water came inside from the balcony door. The only good and very clean thing was the ocean view from the apartment and the pool toilets that were very clean.

The location is excellent. Short walk to everything. Patrolled, beautiful beach straight across the road. The view was stunning from the 14th floor. Unfortunately my room was very tired and worn and well overdue for a renovation. Compared to my other family members who were in beautifully renovated rooms, I paid the same price as them which is a bit disappointing. The carpet is almost threadbare and very stained. The kitchen was fantastic and a laundry in the room was great. No air conditioning to the bedrooms was a major disappointment. The undercover swimming pool was great for the children. Overall it was a terrific stay and would definitely stay again in another room. The 180 degree views of Surfers Paradise truly made up for the tired old room.

The wide ocean view from the lounge room was great but having only one air conditioner for a 2 bedroom apartment where one of the bedrooms didn’t even have a window that opened was well below expectations. The lounge looked 20 years old and needed replacing several years ago. Only one TV with no subscription channels was also disappointing. Overall, if you want no frills with great views and a position close to Surfers Paradise then it will suit but i recommend going in the cooler months due to the lack of effective A/C.

What a great location. We actually saw whales and dolphins from our balcony.
The down side was the lift problems. The lift actually opened on a wrong level one day and our kids got out accidentally and we lost them for a while.
As there was only one that worked most of the time we were there, wait times were terrible.
It was also disappointing to hear of renovations taking place only a couple of days before arrival and it made it impossible for us to change to another
Property due to cost at that time! This could have been communicated earlier but obviously that was the plan.
The last we encountered most of the time at the front desk was really friendly and helpful! Sorry didn’t catch her name.
Overall we had a great stay but these few issues mentioned above were not great at all!

Property was under construction. Tennis court was not usable. A fire drill without warning. We got locked in the stair way, walked down 19 flights of stairs to get out. The property was dirty & old. The photos online do not show the real state of this room. Enough is enough with false advertising. I saved a year for this short stay & it was dreadful.

Showed different pictures and when arrived it was a filthy apartment with small roaches. Poor kitchen condition, showed new kitchen pictures but very old. Dinings chairs was ripped and very uncomfortable not as shown inthe pictures. Bright sunlight will come to your rooms, no proper blinds or curtains to cover it. It was a restless stay. The only good things is view and near to the surfers

Beautiful place to stay. We had an ocean view room that was spacious and tidy. Only complaint would be ants in the kitchen. I locked my phone in the apartment after checking out and the out of hours help was amazing. It only took 30 mins to sort it all out and get us on our way. Would stay here again, and highly recommend

We liked the ocean view so much! The building is a bit old but overall clean and tidy, free on-site parking makes it handy. The availability of dish washer and dryer means a lot of time saved on daily cooking and laundry. We are a family of four and we all enjoyed staying in this property.

Nice unit, great location, view, staff very helpful. One of our group arrived at night and I have to say the signage for the property id not very visable. My cousin drove around for 30 mins trying to find it. Her sat nav took her to Burleigh??. Very bizarre, but maybe a more visable, well lit sign where you turn in would be helpful.
I had no trouble finding it but older,or less technical people may struggle.

Perfectly located and right in the beach. Room was spacious enough for two adult and three kids, kitchen was just right, showers were hot and the check in/out process was simple. Reception staff were always helpful and approachable and made you feel right at home. Construction next door didn’t really hinder our stay and there was some road noise from below but that’s to be expected when only 10 floors up, in an original era, Gold Coast resort. It was all a part of the stay! More importantly, the price was great to accomodate us all for a perfect 3 night stay.

The internal common area (corridors, lifts etc) are a little tired so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But when we opened the door, the apartment was clean and spacious with an amazing view. Beds were a bit saggy and could do with new mattresses.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Free underground parking. Close enough to town without being right in the thick of it. Would definitely come back!

The hotel receptionist Misty was extremely helpful and polite. She explained everything in detail and the couple of questions that I had she was able to answer easily. I thoroughly recommend the two bedroom ocean deluxe apartment.
Modern and views were incredible. Pool was a lovely temperature. Secure access to floors also. Very short walk to patrolled area of beach. Only 4 blocks I think from Cavill Avenue.

This is the 2nd year in a row that we have stayed at imperial surf. Booked both times in ocean view deluxe rooms. But this year got an upgrade to sub penthouse.. Wow!! We love it. The apartments are clean and modern. The views are amazing.. right on the beach. Staff are friendly and helpful especially Diane at reception. Conveniently located to shops restaurants and public transport. We are already planning our next trip for same time next year and will definitely be staying at imperial for a third time. Highly recommend!

Loved the position and outlook of the hotel and our room. Stunning view over the water and so close to all the amenities of Surfers Paradise. The kitchen was quite outdated but functional. The bathrooms were modern and the beds were comfortable. The indoor pool and spa were great. The outside pool was heated, which was great but it is right next door to a big construction project so we found it not as pleasant out there than we would have liked (noise wise and view). Loved the stunning view from the patio but again, it was a bit noisy, due to the next door construction and some other roadworks going on opposite the hotel. Other than the noise we had a very lovely stay. These negatives comments are not the fault of the Owners & Managers of the Hotel. They can't help someone choosing to build a huge building next door to them!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
We stayed here after I had hand surgery following a serious motor vehicle accident.
We own a very tall car and after discussion decided that it would not fit under the beam of the car park. After discussing this with reception we arranged to park our car in the visitors car park. As well as being legally blind (I have a white cane) I had my arm in a sling. As I have a disability parking permit we parked in the allocated car space. (Which to our horror was labelled INVALID parking! HAHA)To get into our car I need to use a stool and therefore need a wider than average car space to accomodate my injury. We told reception where we had parked to which she rudely said “this space is for people with a disability, you will need to move your car as other people may want to park there”. Normally I would never use a disabling car space if there was only one however I think we were more than in need. She was EXTREMELY rude and wouldn’t listen to our explanation.
We stayed in unit 20C. The unit was quite dirty, the toilets had quite a strong odour of urine and the furniture was falling apart!
On top of this, the hotel changes TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS HOLDING DEPOSIT. It took 5 days to get it back.
We have travelled extensively both overseas and within Australia and we were horrified with this accomodation.
We were informed one morning by a tenant that there had been an evacuation order of the whole building that we knew nothing about.

We were not notified prior to our stay about construction to the indoor pool and spa rendering it completely out of action. Did not get a discount as a result. Had to move rooms due to extreme construction noise. The air conditioners in new room were full of dust and mould and were unable to be used, were slightly cleaned upon complaint but mess left in room for me to clean up.

The apartment was very dated with poorly equipped in the kitchen and extremely old fashioned. Bathrooms were decent and beds were comfortable. Check is was bad as the desk was closed and we had no way to get inside the lobby and access the after hours check in safe. Reception staff were not overly helpful. Inside pool was closed and we had consruction noise from 9 am

Good size close to beach and amenities

We really enjoyed staying in an apartment instead of a hotel. Cooking some of our own meals was a big bonus.
