Great location about a leisurely 15 minute walk to Cavill ave. Better still only a couple of minutes walk a tram stop that takes you straight there or if you want to go further down to Broadbeach for casino of pacific fair. For a $1.50 all day ticket the tram is a great option.
The room is spacious with lounge and large screen tv. The full kitchen is well appointed if you want to cook in the room. Bedroom is perfect with a medium feel mattress and tv that is surrounded by windows that look out towards surfers and hinterland. All things considered a great room for the price.

The room was dirty…!! I mean filthy, as soon as you walk in there was a bad stale, damp smell, the mattresses had no protectors and were badly stained with urine and god knows what else, oven and fridge were dangerously dirty with mould, towels were dirty and stained, the sofa was filthy and stained, and when it rained, the ensuite bathroom leaked and water came in through a non opening window. My Expedia VIP status was not recognised, we were not given a bottle of wine, in fact we were likely punished for using Expedia. The manager was non existent, one guy literally quit his job on Xmas Eve because he was unsupported and was getting so many complaints.

Great apartment generally speaking and location was okay. Checked in at 4pm and room not ready. Parking a bit of a pain. No dining options.

Room not cleaned properly after previous guests with washer and used soaps left in the shower.

We enjoyed our stay at Ruby, loved how close it was to catching the bus or trams. Wasn’t far of a walk to surfers paradise or the beach. The pool was nice but which there was a hot tub especially would’ve been nice having that at night. The room we had was nice but could’ve been cleaner when on arrival. We had house keeping twice and on the second time a pair of shorts went missing so declined having house keeping again as that made us uncomfortable. The apartment wasn’t too big and hadn’t worn those shorts yet so knew they were in the apartment before we left for the day and then after when we came back mysteriously weren’t there after house keeping had been done. Told found desk about it but nothing was really done other then an “sorry were not sure” Other than that it was a nice stay.

The decor was lovely as was the view and location. However the apartment needs a proper clean. The mould in the showers was offputting as were the black scuff marks and dings on the walls, mould in the washing machine, dirty sliding balcony doors and dust in various places. The metal gas hobs were grubby too (however would come up nicely with a soak, some Bar Keeper's Friend and a scrub with some steel wool). We did enjoy our stay despite this and feel like a deep clean and some touchups with some paint would make a world of difference.

Booked a one bed apartment with a queen bed, but was checked in to a room with two tiny single beds; the slimmest beds I've ever seen. When I went to Reception to ask about getting put into the correct room, I was asked to spend the first night of a 2 night stay in the single room as no other room was clean! I showed a photo of the 2 single beds and advised that there is no way that I could fit in one of those beds,and was then told I was being 'upgraded' to the room I booked in the first place! Not a great first impression of this property.

Interesting view of Surfers from the balcony. It is a great place to dry washing on the provided racks. The rooms were certainly clean. The single beds were incredibly narrow. There three lifts worked well and the delay for a lift was minimal. The area is safe and easily walkable to Surfers Paradise mall and the beach. The car park is safe but drivers needs to exit their vehicles to tap their fob on the gate button. There is apparently a cafe but no staff mentioned it or recommended it. Guess nothing happens there. The three large mental dustbins on wheels at the hotel entrance rather spoil the ambience. The smell was bad the day we left. Bring your muscles to open apartment doors - very heavy. Overall our 5 night stay was pleasant and convenient -= especially the well equiped apartment kitchen. Definitely worth a visit and we would consider Ruby for staying there again. One small point. While the Reception staff were polite and helpful, english was obviously a second language and there were some minor communication misunderstandings.

The overall stay was satisfactory; however, it should be noted that reception is unattended after 7 PM. Furthermore, the air conditioning unit produced excessive noise, and the shower drainage requires attention due to slow water evacuation, which warrants remediation prior to occupancy.

The staff on the front desk were lovely. The first room we were given was disgusting. The shower wasn’t clean, there was hairs and toenail clippings on the floor, the bedside tables had spills on them, the kitchen surfaces was dirty and there was hairs in the bed. We were given a second room that had been “checked by the manager” but honestly this was only marginally better. As it was during the school holidays, there were limited options available so we ended up buying cleaning supplies and doing it ourself. We were given complementary sparkling wine and chocolates as an apology. The location is lovely, and if clean the apartments are well set out and relatively modern.

The apartments are tired. They also need a good spring clean and freshen up with paint.
Bathrooms were fairly new and clean, bed also. No mattress protector on bed just sheet - mattress won’t last long.
Bedsides and coffee tables, kitchen table had coffee / drink marks and had not been cleaned. Dirty tissue on wardrobe and clump of hair, the wardrobe slide was filthy.
Windows very dirty, ruined the view and they are easily accessible to clean. Lifts reliable but dirty.
Outside area really badly maintained, dirty and no one used it, pool area average, leaves around.
Basic cleaning is done but no attention to detail.
Many poor reviews and I dint think they are working to fix it, never saw anyone around cleaning.
Reception basic, staff pleasant but unprofessional dress and reception did not look professional.
Just making money, it’s not cheap to say here and I would rate it 3 star

Our stay was horrible room was dirty ammenties wer very poor not enough cooking utensils very run down apartment tv in main lounge didn’t work properly ie couldn’t connect to hotel wifi tv in main room didnt work at all stains and marks all throughout the couch dining chairs, worse thing of all was when we told the staff on the day we checked in he basically said that he couldn’t do anything and he didn’t have any maintenance person there at that time and this was on a Friday at 4pm and also advised he was the only one working at that time won’t be back I also told the lady at reception when I checked all of the thing above and all she said was I’m sorry

The whole place needs a thorough clean the carpet was dirty in the room we stayed. I don’t think the showers had been cleaned before we came as well. As for the washing machine the rims I don’t think it ever been cleaned. The windows were dirty and it’s also a very noisy spot as we’ve got a children’s park with carousels and the outside. Very disappointing will not return. The Restaurant and the bar weren’t open and I honestly don’t think they have enough people to service the hotel or they are not being supervised sufficiently. Even the foyer and the lifts were dirty.

A short walk to central Surfers Paradise. Plenty of street parking for our visitors and free parking for guests.
Clean, well presented, nice staff, excellent price. Photos represented apartment well.
There was a construction site nearby which did not trouble us with noise.
The lobby looks like it used yo have a bar and dining but doesnt seem to be operating at the moment.
Lifts were all operational and quick.
Little balcony was great and could see the ocean.
For the price, excellent value.

We were disappointed with the cleanliness. The wardrobe had not been cleaned out as the previous tenant had left false fingernail and hair slide in cupboard. Also the couch was not clean, when we removed rubbish bag from bin under kitchen sink it was filthy and smelly. Also the shower grate was blocked with years of matted hair which my husband to remove to allow the water to drain. Having said this it was a great location with a very friendly and helpful receptionist. We would stay again but would like to think the cleaning could be improved.

Many dirty marks on the walls and we also found a hole on the wall in one of the bedrooms. Rooms are not cleaned properly. We found rubbish and dirty towel left by previous guests.

Worst CLLIX apartment I have stayed at. Others are good but this one was disappointing

The bathroom has moulds you don't even want to stand on the tiles. I told the reception and all I was told was they're gonna send a cleaner which never came. I was told that the mould will always be there as if it's normal to have moulds. I was told All rooms have moulds so no point in moving me around

One night I was also given a wrong key which didn't work on the lifts and my room. Late night security has to come and issue a new key

After waiting 25 minutes the only way out was taking the lift up and then going to ground level. Only two of the three lifts were operating at the time.

This was my fourth stay at the Ruby. The room was not as decribed in the images. The kitchen was poorly equipped and the front door required maintainance to open close safely.
It's a good locatiom and walkable to Surfers Paradise centre. My daughter likes the pool. The other facilities are unexceptional

Overall it was a nice stay. The view was lovely. The hotel is walking distance from everything but the floor was dirty, it looked like it hadn't been vaccumed. The shower still had hair in it from previous guest.

Room 1702 and 1704! The sliding door was really hard to open and close. It was heavy, same as the front door of the apartment. The air conditioning was hot the whole time so we had to open the windows and even that still made little to no difference. The sink in the bathroom was clogged so Everytime we turned the tap on, it filled the sink really quickly. It needs to be unclogged! For the money I paid, I was not satisfied!

We were there to celebrate our duo Birthdays and were given a room with a view of shipping containers ! On the 5th floor as opposed to previous stays there put on the 18th floor with a fantastic view
Also went to take a shower and the drain was blocked in the shower so the water overflowed into the whole bathroom!
I got a screwdriver and lifted the drain cover which was absolutely full of hair and shower tiles were dirty including mould
Was not impressed
Had gone down hill not . Told staff members at reception they recorded it but nothing done about it

There is no room service. There is no mini bar in the apartment. Serviced weekly. The cafe/bar is permanently closed. The is a coffee kiosk at reception. We loved the views from the 20th floor. Nice comfortable beds. Air-conditioning was effective. Spacious and modern. The pool is on the small side for a building with so many gusets.The tram stop is just around the corner. 15 minute walk to restaurants on Cavill Ave.

We booked in this Appartement mid Jan. We arrived earlier and they allowed us to check in earlier than agreed time.
Apartment was clean and presented well.
Didnt have any issues, furniture and appliances were clean and functional. The view was spectacular, no high rise building around it to block the view.
The only downside is it’s not right in centre, which I didn’t mind it. It is located in quieter areas of SP. Which is Lovely to have quiet time after big day in town.
I highly recommend staying at this place and definitely will be booking it for future stay.

The two bedroom apartment was really good, the space was great, beds were really comfy but it needs a good deep clean. Feet were filthy from the floor, kitchen cabinets needed wiping off which we did some, walls need wiping down, just generally needs a good scrub but shower and everything great.

Got a discounted rate and wanted to be in this area so it seemed like a good option, but the apartment we were in was a lot more worn out than expected - it's in need of a new bed, new carpet, new blinds and some touch up painting. None of this was too big a deal as we were out most of each day, but having no towels on arrival and most soap dispensers empty - some of the basics - was a poor experience.

Firstly I want to start with the positives. Iriyna on the front desk is the biggest asset to this property. She is professional and accommodating. The issues with the building are not her fault. Now the negatives…I don’t have much time so I’ll cut to the chase. The room and the general cleanliness of this building is sub-standard. For a relatively new building it’s in terrible condition. Aside from my room that was very unclean, if you sit by the pool or surrounds and look at the condition of the furniture you’ll immediately see the run down poorly kept standards. Won’t go on too much more. Well done Iriyna but to the owners and management best you lift your game…very poor indeed

Really enjoyed our stay at Ruby Gold Coast. Reception staff couldn't have been more helpful with all our enquiries. Room on the 22nd floor gave us magnificent views of Surfers Paradise, both north and east. So close to light rail, so left the car at home. Walking distance to small grocery stores, and a pleasant 10 min walk to heart of Surfers. Room had everything we needed, clean, quiet and very spacious. For our visit to the Pacific Airshow, we could not have stayed at better accommondation.

This place seems fairly new so it’s quite nice but the lounge is covered in stains, it really needs a good clean. Also, the lounge and 2 chairs in the living area are very uncomfortable, we spent a fair amount of time in as my mother is elderly and didn’t want to go out a lot of the time. A nice comfortable lounge would be nice! Sliding glass doors to balcony could do with a clean, dirty finger marks all over it, little children hands That we didn’t have with us! For the price, with only 1 room clean while we were there was pretty steep.

The apartment was huge with a fantastic kitchen and stunning views however the mattresses were stained, the windows dirty and there was rubbish under the bed from the previous occupants.
The staff were brilliant but the rooms need a facelift with dirty walls, blinds that are cracking and obvious damage to the floor. It would have been helpful to know in advance the gym and sauna were closed as those were facilities we wanted to use and a reason we stayed.
The location was excellent and an easy walk to central Surfers and the beach.

Good for a night or two - it’s new but fairly rudimentary in terms of appointments - but fine for the mid budget traveller. Theres nothing wrong with it but I suspect there are nicer apartments on offer

Michelle the general manager is great and makes sure we get goodies on arrival... and throughout our stay.
And usually get a message from hotel prior to check in time saying rooms ready.

Ruby Gold Coast by CLLIX was amazing. Late check-in was easy. It was safe and quiet at night. Transport was easily accessible. Although we didn't use a carpark or have the time to use the pool or gym it was nice knowing those options were there if needed. Walkable distance to food, drinks and a beautiful sunrise down at the beach. If we could have stayed longer we definitely would have. Thank you.
