The apartment appears quite old and is not well maintained. The room had multiple cleanliness issues: stains were visible on the doors, walls, furniture, toilet, and toilet paper holder. The dining chairs had noticeable marks, the floor was not properly cleaned, and the walls were yellowed.

The doors and door handles in each room showed significant wear, with stains and signs of rust. The washing machine was not usable, as there was mould inside.

In addition, the building’s common areas, including the corridors and elevators, appeared old and were not cleaned regularly.

Overall, the condition and cleanliness of the apartment did not meet reasonable expectations.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel this needs to be addressed as the unit has great potential yet seems very neglected. The apartment looked nothing like the photos on the Expedia listing. Inside, it was quite run-down, with mismatched furniture that was either stained or falling apart — one of the lounges was even peeling.

The shower door didn’t close properly, causing water to leak all over the bathroom floor, and the bedhead in the second bedroom was covered in dust. The balcony sliding door also didn’t lock, which was concerning.

On the positive side, the location is fantastic — right across from the beach, with a lovely café opposite and just a short walk to the tram and Cavill Avenue. Unfortunately, the condition of the unit didn’t match the photos, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. 😢

We had a lovely stay. Esther was so helpful and kind. The accomodation is a little old but was very affordable. We noticed no tissue box in the bathrooms but they did supply soap and body wash. The views were nice but it was noisy as the Gold coast had a lot of road closures for an upcoming event. This made driving a little slower and more inconvienient than a normal day.

This property is an absolute gem. It's on the older side so if you're expecting the Marriott you'll be disappointed but if you don't mind a little bit of wear and tear, you'll love it. The beds weren't awesome but the pillows were pretty good and it was very clean and tidy. It's very noisy at the moment with major construction across the street, and it's very windy being right on the beach but it's a stone's throw from the tram and it has two heated pools (indoor and outdoor). There's great coffee next door and across the road and a corner store on the next block. The staff are absolutely lovely and overall we would definitely stay here again, no question.

Not as advertised. Under repair/ construction not mentioned in ads. Room wasn’t ready well after check in time. Toilet not flushed in room! Had to ask for towels. Basic welcome items Aka small milks in fridge not provided. Appliances eg tv unit visibly very dirty. All views around pool etc blocked off by construction materials. Was a disappointing trip at a high cost :(

I expected that this apartment would be old, but it was also not clean in many areas: pots had food grease in them, floors were not totally clean, there was hair stuck to the ensuite shower wall, cushions were stained, plates and cutlery were gritty, and ants swarmed on any food left on the bench for more than 2 minutes (on the 3rd floor!). Also, the microwave had a non-functional turntable in it, so it was unsafe to use (food burnt in some areas and remained frozen in others). There were also barely enough blankets for the beds and they were also of dubious cleanliness. I would not stay here again.

Unpleasant Odors: The accommodation had a persistent and unpleasant smell, making our stay uncomfortable and displeasing.
Leaking air conditioner.
Constant wet & leaky Kitchen floor : (as per Photos attached), leading to slippery surfaces. Unfortunately, our children slipped twice due to this issue, raising serious concerns about safety.
Dirty Kitchen Utensils & Plates: The kitchenware provided was in a deplorable condition (photos attached of a broken pair of tongues). Plates and utensils were visibly dirty, posing a health risk for anyone using them.
Missing Toilet Paper Holder in the ensuite bathroom (see photos) : inconveniencing us and creating an unsanitary environment.
Peeling Wallpaper: The walls of our accommodation were adorned with peeling wallpaper, which not only looked unappealing but also raised questions about the overall maintenance of the property.
Non-functional TV Remotes: The TV remotes provided did not work, depriving us of the basic amenities that were expected during our stay.
No vacuum Cleaner was supplied for us to clean (that's a basic inclusion)
No mop supplied to dry up the

Convenient location, although we had the bad luck of a meriton being constructed in front of us, so it ruined our beach view and loud noise began at 7am every day.
The inside pool and sauna were nice.
We had a few request to accommodate our baby's needs and they didn't provide, just wanted to charge overpriced for renting it. We rent a cot and it was in bad conditions.
TV in the bedroom didn't have a cable to connect it, just the power cable.
We have a crawling baby and we kept finding dirt under the furniture, lots, including a Pepsi can!! Never offered to clean it and worst yet, there are no cleaning supplies at the apartment, except for a broom, but nothing to pick up???
WiFi didn't work properly also.
When we email management for help with this issues, they ignore us, and almost at the end of our stay, replied to some emails (ie. WiFi issue) saying we could contact the number in the modem, instead of calling them or coming to check the issue.
Really disappointed and never staying here again!!!

The property was very unclean. We booked for a 5 night stay. On the very first night we noticed the floors were all very sticky, the blankets were all so dusty and dirty that we had to wash it before use. The apartment itself is in a very old condition with no centralised AC and the amenities provided were absolute minimal - like no soap, no salt, sugar , oil , not even floor mats etc. The worst part was the last day before vacating where they put a notice saying we have to clean everything and put it in the cupboard before leaving saying that’s their policy.

Two questions :
1. If you care so much about the policy, then doesn’t your policy tell that you need to give the property in a good condition before letting it out.

2. Basic cleaning is understandable. But If we have to make sure everything is so organised before we leave, what is the point of paying the money for ?

Expedia should have advised about the condition of the house and the amenities provided will only be minimal.

I would rate 0 for this property . The only good thing is the location which is so close to the prime centre of surfers paradise

The property itself has great amenities 2 x pools and a sauna and terrific parking and is right opposite the beach for those of us who love the surf.
The view from the apartment we stayed in was amazing in 3 directions but is was very dated and unfortunately apart from the bathrooms not very clean which gave off an unpleasant smell.
Having said that it was a good size, it could do with some new pillows but the bed was comfortable enough and there was plenty of room with a comfortable sofa to watch the waves roll in. I would stay again even despite the issue around the cleanliness of the Kitchen and floors.

The apartment was super dirty especially the bathroom in which looked liked it wasn’t even cleaned. The kitchen was greasy and food crumbs were left in the cupboards. The dryer had clothes left behind from previous holiday stayers. It was horrible. It just shows that cleanliness is not a priority. The apartment is far from Cavill so if you have small kids you will struggle to walk to and from the main area of surfers.

This is the most unprofessional hotel I've stayed at. The bed was broken, the room was dirty and there was even a blood splatter on the bed frame. They fixed the bed but it took 24 hours to do so. There was nothing offered as compensation. The took zero accountability for their actions and they couldn't care less that we had a poor experience as a results of their services. We did try to follow it up with wotif as they suggested, but the hotel's landline number is conveniently disconnected :) for anyone reading just maybe don't stay here!

Booking via wotif was easy as. However the man at the front desk is not helpful at all. I’d booked via wotif again for next year and requested the same room again but he told me he can’t put me in that room because wotif books level by level. So I’d have to cancel my booking with wotif and book direct with the hotel but still no guarantee of the floor I’m requesting. Even though it’s available. Spa worked two days but not the third. Hotel itself is old but good value for money. Sure beats camping.

I loved the view of the ocean from my 9th floor apartment also closeness of the Light Rail. I think the apartment could do with a little upgrading eg paint walls ect. The beds were very large and comfortable, also the apartment was very spacious. On the whole I would go back and stay there again.

The condition of the property in terms of cleanliness was disappointing pretty grubby, shower leaked in the en-suite which soaked the floor behind the toilet.

The view was pretty amazing, a sunset and sunrise available everyday, however the building and apartment itself looks less appealing from the pictures. It was comfortable to live in and very handy but make sure to wash the washing machine and iron before use incase of stains which repeatably happen to us. Some of the guests were rude but the staff were amazing. I would recommend it if you want to be on the shoreline. Everything was available in the apartment, just on the downside there may have been bed bugs.

We booked this accommodation off the photos, facilities listed and location.
Only to arrive to find it nothing like the photos. It was extremely out dated and not well maintained. To the point of panels of glass missing in the ensuite shower, vanitys falling apart, holes in the wall of the kitchen, ripped carpet and beds that had no comfort to them whatsoever.
When we booked this accommodation it stated daily housekeeping only to be told on check in that it was weekly housekeeping (We stayed for 5 nights).
Positives was free undercover parking and locations was fairly clean. Unfortunately that's about it.
I wouldn't recommend this to future travellers until alot of uupdates have been made and I definitely wouldn't return.

It's such a shame that we had the experience we did as the apartment was quite nice and the view was fantastic. However when you book an apartment for 6 people you expect to be able to have 6 people stay.

In my booking I expressly stated it was for 6 people. After checking in I mentioned to the lady that no extra beds had been provided and she said it was all ok they were just on their way. At 9pm after going out for dinner we find a note stuck to the front door telling us we had to pay for extra beds. I rang the number left on the note and was told the manager would come up and see us. It all went extremely downhill from there.

The manager threatened to throw us out if we didn't pay the extra (even though my booking clearly stated 6 people and there was plenty of opportunity for the hotel staff to have flagged the issue before this time). He was intimidating and rude and made all of us feel very uncomfortable. Instead of apologising for their error he made us pay and only gave us one extra bed!

I have never been spoken to so disrespectfully and am appalled at the managers attitude. There was absolutely no need to threaten to throw us out when we had done nothing wrong and the error was entirely on their part. Had they brought this up at any other time we could have resolved this without so much drama, but it was literally 9pm when we were even first made aware... My recommendation - pick another hotel!

Loved the proximity to the beach and Surfer's Paradise. The external amenities were good. Did not like that all but 2 windows in the entire apartment were facing surrounding buildings looking in on one another. The apartment itself was in great need of a paint job. Did not like that no windows were able to open including the kitchen window making cooking without setting off the smoke alarm a challenge.

We stayed in apt. 8b, which was very much in need if some TLC. The fridge door handle was taped on with duct tape, it needed painting, but all in all was pretty clean. The managers were very friendly.

It has all you need in an apartment - functional kitchen with all dining set, clean bathroom, washing machine & dryer (abit old thou) good for tourist who stay more than 3 days! Location close to bus stop to seaworld and tram rail just 5 mins walk, very convenient to go everywhere.
It is next to Marriott Resort where most of the tour pick up point is, also the pick up point for shuttle bus to harbour town outlet.

The 2 bedroom appartment was very spacious, nice view of the ocean, close to transport and 10 minute walk to shops. Value for money as we had a good deal. Beds were quite firm which is ok if you like a firm bed. Well equipped kitchen and big TV. Comfortable lounge. Windows needed cleaning and they didnt vacuum under the bed. Lady on front desk was very nice and helpful.

Great location and cheap price. But read on for negatives....
Whole apartment was filthy, and not just dusty, more like hadn't been cleaned properly in months.
Room incredibly loud even though up on 12th floor. Road noise etc. sounded like we were on level 1.
\"Tennis court\" is a joke. It's 1/4 -1/2 size court and you have to pay for racket/ball hire.
If you need beach towels you need to hire for a fee.
You get what you pay for with this place.

Seacrest has all the amenities we needed. They have these spacious bedrooms and living room, a functional kitchen, our own laundry room and a lovely dining area. My son enjoyed everything like the games room, the heated indoor pool, sunny outdoor pool and the sauna. Seacrest is just across the beach so we literally had this spectacular ocean views from anywhere (kitchen, living room and bedrooms). We will definitely going back to Seacrest and we will surely recommend this hotel to our friends.

The 2 swimming pools where a plus.but needed cleaning.apartment was filthy ,,,,kitchen was dirty and had to wash all cooking and untensils before use there where roaches in cupboards ( dead and alive)...couches had not been cleaned -they were a bit smelly and where sticky.windows had hand prints and smudges on them ..onsweet was dirty..and had no door on shower.. no mattress protectors on bed( which had stains) under the beds where filthy... fridge had sticky filth on shelves..we wanted to vacuum floor but bag was full and hose was broken on connection to vacuum

Great location and ocean views.
On suite showerhead needs replacing as does the vacuum cleaner as the head falls off when used. Bathroom ceilings needs a paint as they are peeling.
Other than that fantastic value for money and I will defiantly be staying again.

Great location - close to Surfers but far enough away to not be bothered by the nightlife. Excellent price, great amenities, fantastic views & the beach is just across the road. Very friendly staff and would definitely come back here.

I stayed in 12D. While I list in detail, the things I liked certainly outweigh the things I didn't like as they are minor issues most of which can be fixed by the host (if they wanted to).

I liked:
Great unobstructed sea view from the living room. Beautiful views from the bedrooms, kitchen. Convenient access to beach and shops. Pure holiday feeling.

I don't like:
Wifi connectivity. There is no device inside the apartment. Apparently there is a shared WiFi connection for several apartments on that level. I couldn't connect except for when I was standing at the entrance corridor.

Self catered. The apartment is not serviced. You get a bare minimum items of use for the first night only. I had to run to local shop very next day to get essentials like soap, dishwasher/laundry powders. Not convenient to do on a holiday.

Parking. This may be an old apartment building, but imagine the entry to the parking is through a 'physical key' which opens the roller door. Need to get out of the vehicle every time you go in and out of the basement where the parking is located.

Air conditioning:
The air conditioner is located in the living room only. While it does a good job in the living room and kitchen, it hardly affects the bedrooms.

The hotel room 12D when we walked in and enter the lounge room the floors were dirty the dining table top was dirty the coffee tables were dirty under the couches had never been vacuumed dirty behind the TV under the cabinet was filthy.. the events in the showers were clogged with filth and Dust. Found to believe blood stain on pillowcase ? Couple of cockroaches running around. Down in underground car park cockroach the size of your credit card. Windows filthy chance of staying there again 00. Only good thing was the view but if you like all the industrial work taking place on the beach waking you up at 6 a.m. in the morning good luck :-)

Unit was nice and neat but needs a good paint job in some parts. Large comfy unit though. Beds were average, pillows horrible. If they had better bedding it would've been great. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and the pool was beautiful.

All amenities at Seacrest were exceptional,
Views over to the beach were spectaculor.

Rooms were very clean and contained everything you could need. Big bonus for me was the big TV in the lounge room (with Foxtel) and TV in the Main Bedroom, and of course the free WIFI.
Enjoyed our stay very much, close enough to the main hub of Surfers, but also away from the busy nightlife, very relaxing
