Very difficult to find entrance at first. Apartment was very spacious and clean. Location was good, had a nice view of the water from the balcony.

A very old building and outdated. Extremely dirty overall with stains on carpet. Air Con didn’t work properly. It was smelly and offered very little in terms of kitchen ware. There was 1 plate and 1 cup so we had to buy some that we left there. The Foyer constantly smells like sewage with people holding their noses while you wait for the lift. The most frustrating thing is the lifts. 4 lifts that don’t work in proper sequence with extremely long wait times and overcrowding in the lift. 1 positive is the location to Cavill Ave and the Pool is great.

Stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment on level 28. Instruction for checking was very poor, it did not specify which level is the guest parking, wasted 15 minutes driving around searching for the parking lot. The smell in the whole apartment was really bad. The room with balcony aircon was terrible. Living room floor feels sticky. The front toilet filled with awful smell upon checked in. Wifi connection was interrupted most of the time. Felt like I was cheated.

We loved the location, amenities and the fantastic views however, we were very disappointed overall re the cleanliness' and décor of this particular apartment we stayed in.

For example:

Master bedroom - TV had lines through the screen, exhaust fan not working, bathroom door lock loose & faulty, faulty door lock mechanism onto balcony, toilet kept running after flushing, power point in bathroom not fixed to wall & 1 outlet not functioning. Drawer faces loose, areas of grout missing from shower hob & small amount of mould.
2nd Bedroom - Broken bottom drawer in wardrobe, bathroom sink drain waste plug faulty, exhaust fan not working, bathroom door lock not working, bathroom light globe blown.
Kitchen - Loose drawer fronts, stains down front of dishwasher, mouldy/dirty kitchen window.
Lounge/dining - large dirty area near air con outlet on ceiling, numerous cord blinds/brackets need attention throughout.

General paintwork and walls are dirty and there are several holes & unpainted plaster repairs throughout the apartment. Lack of general décor/furniture such as bedside lamps, wall furnishings etc. The apartment had barely the essentials and what was there was in need of updating.

As we do property maintenance for a living we hope this information is valuable to management/owner.

The appartment was very basic in terms of fitout and furnishings( kitchen utensils etc). Only one large and one small towel per person per stay regardless of the length (12 day stay in our case) which was quite insufficient IMO, even though there is laundry ( which is the management agency argument ) 2 towels pp would be a bare minimum given the length of stay. No service midway again didn't expect a clean but a re-supply of towels would have been nice given the length of stay. There should be different service depending on the duration of stay, so in our case, staying 12 days and to be \"treated\" the same as someone staying for 5 or 7 doesn't make sense. So a mini service at least say every 7 days at least would make sense.

Coastal Letting Co are terrible to deal with as a third party agency.
The apartment was apparently ‘No Pets’ but half was through our stay our son kept getting rashes and his eczema kept flaring up. We then notice cat or dog hair all over the carpet and within the property.
The property was also advertised as ‘premium bedding’ this is a joke. 2 singles joint together with a fitted sheet keeping them together. To join on the two beds was really annoying and also has no blankets. We had to request for blankets.
Will never be using Coastal Letting Co or staying at the Chevron again.

Excellent location in surfers paradise for our family of 5, with stunning views. The check-in process was not smooth on a weekend, & instructions to find carpark were non-existent, but got there after 4 phone calls to afterhours. Apartment was spacious and clean, with some things in need of repair. WIFI was very weak and often nonexistent, which would have made our rating higher.

We changed rooms after the 1st night. The 1st room was very 2 star, not what we paid for. The ocean view was the only thing worth paying for. A few things we were not happy about which is why we asked to change. The room we were moved to was exactly what we originally wanted. Even though it was on the opposite side and had river views, it was still beautiful.

Check in was easy, although located offsite it was an easy process and the online component made it easy.
Once in the hotel,we had to guess which tower our parking was in, luckily we guessed correctly and entered tower 1. We were allocated room 1076, for those who are staying after us i'll make it easy for you- enter through the roller door,go to the first level and turn right and then right again,your parking is right there-we drove for at least 15 minutes as there is no real method to the parking! Room 1076-located on level 7- this was not communicated to us so we had to call the rental place to find out.
The corridoors smell like too much room freshner,and once we found our room we disconnected the room freshener because it was so strong and overpowering.
The first night after a big drive from Sydney i was keen on a bath,only to be greeted by 10-12 cockroaches, we had to run to the coles downstairs to buy spray and used it throughout our stay-the influx of ants all over the kitchen benches ( we hadn't left any food out as we had only just arrived)
The bed was comfy and the overall apartment was comfortable for 2 people
The TV in the bedroom didn't have any signal.
The pool area and the BBQ areas are great within the hotel and we loved Bar Italia downstairs for breakfast and a really good coffee,the light rail is a 2 minute walk and so is the beach.

Terrible apartment. Filthy, and not what was advertised. Expedia advertised an apartment for let by Coastal Lettings Co. my child had to sleep on the floor as there wasn’t enough beds as stated. Blood on walls,
Slime in toaster, health and safety issues, grime everywhere. Was a dump!

Unfortunately for a property of it's type and cost we were disappointed.

We were presented with a main toilet that didn't work properly and missing a lock on the door, a blocked bathtub drain and insufficient basic items in the kitchen and living areas such as a water jug and cushions, amongst others.

When added to the internet service being down for 3.5 days and told to deal directly with the provider, where we were basically ignored, and a ground level that was very smelly for our entire 10 day stay it made for a disappointing accommodation where we'd be reluctant to return to.

Thankfully, the Qld weather and great view from the 37th floor meant we enjoyed our holiday nonetheless.

excellent views, property dated, chipped tiles, stained carpets, bedroom tv not working, comfy suite but stitching open in 2 places, odd drinking glasses, and tin opener that did not work, old stains around bottom of shower glass, but nice strong pressure on shower itself, lifts worked well,
disappointed on arrival, had to go to agency for keys and as the office was closed , had to phone for the password for a lock box and was not allowed password until I paid 300 dollars security this could have been done on booking the apartment and not left until we arrived and no reception on site, very poor service.

I love the convenience of the location of Chevron apartments and that it is a secure property with easy access. It was so handy to shops, restaurants and the beach. A quick tram ride to the casino was enjoyable as well.absolutely loved the views as well.

The room we had was old and dated. The location was perfect we were on the 34th floor the view was amazing, but with the balcony at that hight I was scared that my kids would fall over the edge. The car park instructors were not sent to us until I called the property, this made the check in process awful after a long day of travel with a baby that just wanted to get out the car. Would I stay here again… yes the location was amazing… no if you have small children. Although there was some minor childproofing on the doors.

We had stayed here years ago and since then it has gone down hill. One of the sliding doors was broken on arrival. The vent for aircon was filthy and the dryer filter was so full it was over flowing . The toilets stank like they had not been cleaned. Spider webs in the corners of the bedroom

Underwhelming

While we loved the location and the complex facilities, we were dissapointed in several other aspects of our stay.

There were very loud and extremely distruptive renovations to the building including a jackhammer. We were never advised these works were going to be undertaken during our stay.

Overall the apartment was a bit run down and underwhelming with several things either not working or failed during use.

Would not stay here again or recommend.

Washing machine was so noisy and jumping, when i levelled it the amount of dirt underneath was outrageous, dirty around all edges, bed side table lamps full of dust, i think whoever did the cleaning vaccumed only the visible areas and cleaned the bathrooms, kettle and toaster are in really bad shape and usually the kitchen is missing so many things and odd utensils, i have rented there before and it wasn't like that

Unfortunately our experience in your apartments has been extremely unsatisfactory there have been multiple issues in terms of cleanliness and hygiene.

- Ensuite bathroom sink had blood over the outside of it which must have been from the previous occupants.
- Non of the bathroom fans work as they are blocked with so much mould and dust it looks disgusting and is so in hygienic.
- We have had cockroaches in the kithchen, bathrooms and even in our BEDS!
- we went to use the hair dryer and it sparked in our hands and tripped the whole apartment which is EXTREMELY dangerous!

We are absolutely horrified with the state of this apartment we were given we have to clean it better ourselves then when it was given to us which is a real shame as we were really looking forward to staying with you guys.

We paid a lot of money for this 5 days stay and I would like my money back as this apartment was appalling and sorry but we are not paying money for something like this is was horrific!

I have taken photos of all the issues listed above and I am happy to send them all through if you need proof of what has been going on.

The location was great and the views beautiful and convenient for what we needed. The following things were disappointing.
1. The floorboards had air pockets throughout the whole area really making the floating floorboards 'float'. Some areas were sticky when walking on them.
2. When using the cooktop, we tried to pull out the range hood. Very sticky to pull out. Once having a closer look, the sliding track and the hood was so full of fat and grease. Tried wiping up with paper towels but would need to be cleaned properly with hot water and degreaser. Not only was it difficult to pull out but a little off putting while trying to prepare food.
Otherwise, fixing those issues would certainly make the stay more comfortable.

GOLD COAST HOLIDAY SERVICE SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

GOLD COAST HOLIDAY SERVICES WHO HOTELS.COM booked our hotel in with instead of MANTRA should honestly remove this company from your services. Our room power was disconnected and we called GOLD COSST HOLIDAY SERVICES were absolutely rude to my wife and I we called the company to advise them of what’s happened and no help was given to my family. In regards to why the power was disconnected the customer service contact and manager were very rude and also laughing at my wife and I explaining that we have no power and my kids were also very scared sitting in the dark for 5 hours before we got a call back from anyone. The manager from GOLD COAST HOLIDAY SERVICES disconnected the call and told us that they couldn’t help us and we’re laughing at the situation we were in. The male customer service rep was refusing to hear my concern and laughed at me while I was on the phone and then disconnected the call. My kids were crying due to being in the dark and he laughed and said that we can’t help. I then advised him to please help me and once again he disconnected the call this company should be absolutely ashamed of there actions I want this company GOLD COAST HOLIDAY SERVICE to be accountable for there actions and there unprofessionalism needs to be addressed. MANTRA STAFF AT CHEVRON were awesome Elizabeth and the team went over and beyond to accommodate my family and I. GOLD COAST HOLIDAY SERVICE should honestly be ashamed of how they made my family and I feel ESPECIALLY MY CHILDREN.

Cleanliness a disappointment

We are a disability provider and requested 3 rooms near each other. . . We were given 2 rooms in 1 tower 8 floors apart and 1 room in a totally different tower. This made it very difficult for workers to access clients so if this had of been communicated to us prior to arrival we could have made alternative arrangements.

On checking in to the room the floors were filthy in all 3 apartments . . .our feet were black within minutes of taking our shoes off. . . Their were beads on the floor and crumbs, cockroaches, chairs filthy from previous guests, vinyl and felt from lounges peeling off. . . Just extremely poor housekeeping all round.
We pushed 2 beds together for 1 of our clients and it looked like it had not been cleaned under there for a long time and we could go on and on but I’m sure you get the picture.
To say we were disappointed for the $6000+ we had paid for 3 rooms for 8 nights is an understatement.

The handyman did his best by sending a cleaner up after my husband showed reception some photos of the room and my feet and we did eventually get toilet paper for every bathroom.

On a positive note we did get ocean views for 2 out of 3 of our apartments. Sadly one of them missed out on our request which we weren’t notified about until we walked into our room.

When using the parking system make sure when you approach the garage door you place your tag under the Red Cross on the roof above you and the garage roller door will lift automatically no problem.

The location of the apartment was great. Close to Cavill Avenue short walk to the beach. The 2 bedroom apartment was large with a large balcony on the 7th floor. Which is the same height as the trees so you don't get to see much except the trees and glimpses of the ocean.

The apartment is a little worn with stains all over the carpet. But besides that its actually really great.

Chevron though need to up the AC in the foyers of the hotel its ridiculously hot especially when your waiting 10 minutes for a lift.

Overall good value and good facilities and location. Supermarket underneath is very handy. No blankets on bed and no room service during 4 night stay. So have to buy own toilet paper etc. Also remember to bring or buy beach towels. Fantastic ocean views
The picking up of keys at another location and then exit procedure is a bit of a nuisance but that’s why it is a bit cheaper.
Good kitchen and fridge etc so great for family.

Great location and view but apartment was dated and dirty, carpet was stained, not even a full roll of toilet paper for a family of 4 for 2 nights stay. The wait for an elevator at times was frustrating. To top it off when we we went to leave Sunday morning the back number plate on our car had been stolen while parked in the secure carpark for the weekend with the camera in that area not working!

absolutely disgusting
advertised as a 4 star hotel but when i complained the hotel manager advised it was a 3 star hotel instead. -- extremely disappointed by the fictitious information advertised online \"

-broken basket in the laundry
-broken water stopper in the main kitchen, which was soo slimmy and didnt work,
- the tiles in the bathroom are not the correct ones - my daughter slipped multiple times on her head as soon as she went into the bathroom while the water was running. - there is no support at all.
-no Fan in the bathrooms -- only a light switch
the bathroom was covered in fog from the hot water and at all times we had to shower with the bathroom door open and also the main bathroom door too which was really inconvenient
- no plastic bag in the toilet rubbish bins. they were filthy and full of other people hair which is gross.
-metal cap on the end of the beds were off - every time you walked past they would scrap your skin and cut you which is very big hazard
-The alarm clock in the room cable was broken,with the power point switched on, like i mentioned before i have 2 kids in the room which this is very dangerous they could of got electric shocks
-there was flowers in the room that were dead - mould on the flowers which can cause diseases and infections

Upon check in we had to phone 30 minutes prior to arrival. Once we arrived we were told our room was still be cleaned and could we find something to do for 30 minutes. We went for a drive for an hour then went to our room where a cleaner came back 15 minutes later to keep cleaning!!! After all the cleaning the room was still dirty. The en-suite had mould all through the shower, the room smelt damp and the kitchen sink was dirty. The washing machine had so much build up and was disgusting.

The location and view was great and pool lovely.

On check out Wot if said 10am but at 9:30 the cleaner let herself into the room saying she had to clean for the next guests!!!! I was furious, especially considering we had to wait an hour later to check in when we did and she just walked into the room.
I would definitely stay at the Chevron again but not the private residence tower. Very disappointed considering it was nearly $200 a night.

Great apartment in very good condition with all the amenities you need. Easy arrival meeting with the agent to collect the keys. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The door to the ensuite couldn't close, the toilet was running all the time. there was a rollaway bed left in the second bedroom, we had to ask for towels and the bed was made with king-single sheets not double sheets to it was too small.

Views were spectacular from the 25th floor, apartment was tired though... couple of light bulbs blown, tried to use the toaster which tripped circuit breaker out. Shower in main bathroom didn’t drain quick enough and windows in dining room leaked when it rained.

Can’t beat the location and the views from the room was amazing however the room had old beds sliding doors that were difficult to close kitchen cupboards that didn’t close properly in general desperately needing refurbishment.
We booked a room with a king bed and 2 singles and didn’t get this - disappointingly one of the reasons we booked this property! The area around the pool needed a clean up during the day considering the number of people using the area it wasn’t great seeing disposable nappies left around the pool.

Great location, great facilities, the agents were fantastic and let us check in early as the room was ready. They really went out of their way for us. The room set up is great and very family friendly. Is definitely stay there again.

The location was good but the apartment stank of rancid cooking fats and we spent the first day cleaning it and washing all the dishes, even had to buy cleaning products and air fresheners to try to cover the smell. For the high price we expected a far better standard. Very disappointing and won’t be back.

We loved the indoor and outdoor pools and the proximity to the beach. I disliked that Before I arrived I texted the person that I will arrive at 3:00 turns out we arrived 4:20, and our reserved room was still not ready. Water in the lobby another 30 minutes to get into our rooms. Also, they say we checked out they didn’t even allow me to delay my check out till 11:00am. I was shocked, horrible waste of a day. I will never forget it.

Great location and close to shops and restaurants. There were only four lifts serving the whole building 40 floors and 1 or 2 lifts were not working at times. Long waiting time for lifts. The carpet, sofa, cushions and blankets in the unit we stayed needed a good clean. The sky blue colour sofa is badly stained. The cushions and blankets smells like body odour and sweat.

Fantastic location, spacious appartment and wonderful service. Lagoon pool was smaller than expected and the confusion of the elevator levels and connecting towers had us in distress, especially around check out.

Great location and great view. Check-in was a breeze. Spacious, well appointed. Overall a good place to stay.

Cons: matresses were very uncomfortable, one of the smoke alarms right outside bathroom door-having a hot shower sets it off. No oven trays :(

The Towers itself was very nice, the apartment we were stayed in needs an upgrade as heavily stained carpets, mattresses had lost their spring, it smelled of urine. We waited 1 1/2 hours to check in as no instructions were provided on booking other than to see the ‘front counter’ upon arrival, guess what, it does not exist. Not fun sitting in a car with a toddler trying to figure it all out. No phone numbers provided either. However, it appears just to be the unit we stayed in, otherwise was a lovely stay.

Was very happy with our 2 bedroom apartment.Room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived but we were able to leave our bags in our room and by the time we had come back from lunch the room was ready.very comfortable and spacious with awesome views and very central to everything,Would definately recommend to others and we will be back

Overall it was a pleasant stay. Access to shops on the ground floor and location made it super easy and convenient to grab bits and pieces or head down to the beach.

Although the decor was dated, everything worked fine. Stove, microwave, shower, tv, oven, fridge, washing machine, lamps all worked perfectly.

It was great that I could hire a cot and highchair.

Communication was excellent.

The two things that really let the property down was the carpet (let's just say I had to wash my feet every night before going to bed) and the queen bed mattress was quite saggy.
