Beds were very comfortable and towels large and fluffy. Would have appreciated a second upholstered chair, rather than a plastic on which wasn't comfortable for watching TV. Also there is no safe in the room. The evening meal we had in the restaurant was very good, despite the rather lax service. The pool was lovely and warm and really relaxing. The sauna and steamroom were also a bonus on a cold evening.

Conveniently located close to LeShuttle terminal and motorway for onward travel. The hotel has ample parking and, overall, is of a good standard. It just misses some attention to detail, for example, the cleaning being a little hit or miss, and minor points such as being allocated the minimum amount of toilet paper each day so we had to repeatedly ask reception for more, the only available electric point for the kettle being on the floor, and the tv remote control not being compatible with the tv (they were different brands). No deal breakers and we will return.

Perfect stop before taking the channel or ferry. The pool is a good size and it also has access to sauna and steam so a nice way to relax after a long drive. The bar has a pool table and table football which was nice for us all to relax and play with the kids. It’s next to a big carrefour so handy for a shop before crossing.

The room was lovely and clean however there had been a problem with the laundry delivery as there were no towels in the room. They were available however in the foyer for collection.
Dinner was very good but there was a shortage of crockery and cutlery at breakfast.

The landing and bedrooms were kept spotless, and very clean. But the dog area wasnt there was dog hairs and bits of food on the floor , it wasnt cleaned it was the same evety morning , we were there for three days , the glasses , on the tables that were set werent clean , and also the dishes and plates werent clean yiu had to check , there were flys everywhere , and things that are left open or exposed were very risky . If your reading this go stay in the villages near by they looked lovely , the staff had no sence of humour and the reception staff were like robots .

I love using this hotel, and have done many times. It’s perfectly placed just 10 minutes from driving off the Eurotunnel train and is more up market and, in my opinion, better located than the other budget hotels in the area.

Hotel is close to leShuttle and Cité de l'Europe Shopping Centre. Has pleasant surroundings and its own restaurant. Restaurant menu certainly has more choices available than what is available near the Holiday Inn in Calais. Room was nice to look at but does follow the modern trend of not offering sufficient storage space. Bathroom was a triumph of form over function as seems to be the trend in Holiday Inns these days. Toilet too close to the wall. Shower tray slippery and bobbled with no hand holds and nowhere to put your facecloth or own toiletries. Shower screen too short with no deflector meaning the bathroom floor gets soaked when you take a shower. Obviously designed by someone who hasn't had to stay in the room.

The Holiday Inn was great. I had to change the booking twice due to my husband’s health. Reception very helpful.
Only disappointment was the restaurant. The staff were friendly and efficient but the menu and food was very disappointing. I had an entrecôte which frankly was tough and inedible. My husband had a Caesar salad. Cold tough chicken with too much lettuce and only a couple of anchovies on the top. The menu itself was poor. Parsnip soup?

Our stay at the Holiday Inn in Calais was smooth, comfortable, and genuinely pleasant—but what really stood out was the dinner. We hadn’t planned on eating at the hotel, but we’re so glad we did. The meal was surprisingly delicious—thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and far better than what you might expect from a hotel restaurant.

Even more memorable than the food was the kindness of the staff. They were warm, attentive, and especially welcoming to our children, treating them with genuine care and friendliness that made the evening feel even more special.

Our room was clean, quiet, and well-equipped, with a lovely view of the port and a bed that made for a great night’s sleep. The hotel’s location made it easy to explore Calais on foot, and we appreciated how relaxing everything felt after a day of travel.

While it may not be a luxury destination, the Holiday Inn in Calais delivers exactly what a traveler needs—comfort, kindness, and a few unexpected delights. We would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect location for Le Shuttle, with ample on site parking. Excellent pool and facilities, and friendly efficient service in the convenient and good quality restaurant. Family room was large and well equipped but chilly (December) - perhaps some rooms/corridors need modernising to the standard of the very smart reception area etc. But would definitely recommend and stay again.

The hotel was easy to find and had plenty of disabled parking. The lady receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. We had booked an accessible room as my husband is disabled, but it really was not suitable. The bathroom/wetroom had a wide door but there was only one handrail in the room next to the toilet. There was nothing in the shower area so husband couldn't use it as he needs to hold on when showering.
I would have mentioned this on checkout if the gentlemen had been approachable. He barely spoke to us and did not enquire if everything was ok or if we'd had a good stay, it was verging on rude.
Overall its a lovely hotel and the food was very good, its just not really suitable for disabled people.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We were impressed by everything, from the friendly staff, to the food. Room was nice with a King bed. Great shower facilities. The size of the swimming pool was impressive m, as was the gym. Breakfast had a good choice but the hit good wasn’t that hot. Water in the room would have been a good touch. Would recommend staying here for the friendliest of the staff, closeness to the Euro tunnel, great food. We were impressed with this Holiday Inn and would definitely stay again. Well done everyone.

Never again in this hotel brand

Convenient for the Shuttle. We stayed in May and the room was boiling, but they turn off the AC centrally throughout \"winter\". Not acceptable a large chain hotel - that's just cheap. You okay the same rate, so why do you not have the same eamenities. We had a newborn and he could not sleep because of the heat of the room. It was awful. We could open the window very slightly but it did nothing to cool the room down. The room and hotel were poor quality. Very disappointed. There is ample parking and the staff were very helpful, which was a positive. But would not stay again and has put us off the brand in general - we wouldn't stay in one anywhere after that experience.

We usually stay here the night before our journey back to Yorkshire. Love being able to have a swim after travelling up from the South of France. We normally get 2 rooms and have a good sleep. This time we booked a room for 4. The main bed was great but the fold out sofa bed was not very good for the girls. They both complained that it veered off at weird angles so they couldn't get comfortable and they woke up a few times during the night pushed together and with aches and pains in the morning. Other than that it's a great hotel and we will be staying again next year.

Love that this hotel offers accommodation for a family of 5. But felt we were not treated well at dinner even though we spent a lot of money and coach drivers that were allowed to bring in their own drinks and given a special menu were given priority over us.
We were told no tables free, so had to sit up at a bar area, even though most tables were free and families arriving later (who had no booked) were given a table.

A very nice hotel with good facilities located very conveniently near to the Eurotunnel access terminal. Modern well appointed room with kettle and refrigerator. Comprehensive breakfast choice in a pleasant restaurant. The property also has a gym, squash court, and pool ( not used by us). The lobby area is a very nice space. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.
Overall a very enjoyable stay; thank you.

Great place to rest nos feel the country experience however transportation can be quiet costly to move around and go to the nearest outlet mall. Pool and sauna spa lovely and restaurant food was excellent try Caesar salad and the kebab fish. Beds are extemely comfortable and rooms are clean and moder. I recommend if you have family trip and need a day to rest and visit local shopping center. Taxe fares are minimum 25.00 no matter distance so will add fast but worth it .

We had a great 1 night stay. Our room was a standard double and was modern, clean and roomy. The bathroom fittings were old but still a good working shower. We had an evening meal and breakfast which were both good value, especially breakfast, plenty of choice. We used the hotel as a stopover for the tunnel and it was ideally located, just a 5 minute drive.

Great for a pit stop with our two dogs … we use this place twice a year …great food! Also has a walking area for the dogs!

luckily we booked a suite because you can’t have two dogs and 2 people in one double room … you need to book two rooms or a suite!

Also, we were given an accessible room with a wet room, which is not what we were expecting..,. the shower looked dirty and was a pain to use! The bed also wasn’t made correctly and felt like someone had already slept in it! The sheets were that creased!
