It was a nasty place! We did not stay there. So old and run down. Had a bad smell in the lobby when we arrived and the room was even worse...we went in for about 5 mins and all had headaches starting from the smell. I tried to call the property many times and the phone would just continue to ring with no answer! I would like to try and get my money back if possible. Please let me know what to do.

The rooms and motel are not as depicted in the pictures. The staff was sleeping on a mattress on the floor in a room behind the customer service counter. This is not a location I would recomend to a stray dog. I was told by my booking company, Roadway Inn would refund my charges, in which they did not. Untrustworthy and not worth the troubles.

Not the worst place I’ve stayed…but certainly not the best. It is NOT in Old Town Scottsdale. It sits next to an adult toy shop a block from a cabaret. Also RIGHT next to a car wash and you hear loud vacuums going off constantly. The photos are deceptive. It’s stale. Low vibe. The front desk has a bed behind it. The rooms are stark. Stale. Not one a piece of art on the walls. The door molding was broken off. The sheets were stained. Functional for sleeping a night but not a nice place to spend time. Would never stay there again.

This motel should be removed from Expedia. The nastiest motel I’ve ever stayed at. I was supposed to be there five nights but left after one, without getting a refund. Holes in the door, stains all over the ground, black dirt or dust all over the air vents. Dead bugs in the room. The most run down motel you can imagine.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The room was absolutely disgusting and we had to check out early. I had the manager walk the room and they agreed because of condition. I am working with Hotels.com to get a refund. I saw the reviews were somewhat low, but I’ve never seen anything like it. The drains were completely clogged with hair and would not drain at all so we could not take showers or even wash our hands. There was mold in many different places in the room, the sheets are dirty, the chair was dirty, the floors were disgusting. There is a car wash next-door that blast music starting at 7 AM so you will wake up to that. I got management and had them walk-through the room and they said they were having problems with the cleaners ??? but they rented it to me anyways ??? thought I could save a little bit of money and be close to old town and it was a big mistake. Do not stay here, I should’ve turned around and walked away when I was checking in when I saw that the front desk person sleeps in a bed behind the front desk and there is a basic washer/dryer that they are doing the laundry in so it’s not getting clean or sanitized. My bad, we were in a hurry, unloaded our luggage and went to a concert. I am not picky, as I hunt and stay in a lot of different motels and hotels, but this was beyond anything I’ve ever seen.

If you can get over the check-in experience, you made a good decision going with the Rodeway Inn.
The worker there wasn’t rude, they just had absolutely no people skills once so ever. They were probably dead tired as they most likely aren’t contracting cleaners, they do it themselves. That being said, my room was clean, plenty of room, AC worked, hot water worked. Mini Fridge, separate sink, TV. Most of all it was safe and quiet - compared to other motels I’ve stayed at in Phoenix. Took me 10 mins to walk to Old Town Scottsdale.

The room was filthy dirty. There was layer of dirt, sticky stuff and hair on the side tables and the Tv cabinet. Bathroom was wet, with Mold growing on the tiles, the bedcover had a hole in it and stain marks. The pillow cover had stains on them. The chairs had dirty stains on them. The door had 2 bandages sticking on it! It was scary and horrible experience. I just left my luggage and went to mall, came late night and slept somehow and checked out first thing in the morning. Did not use the filthy bathroom.

It was a rough experience. No one was around for check in, it took quite a while for someone to arrive in the office. The room was dingy and old - tape to hold the threshold down between the bedroom and bathroom. The bath had knicks in it and the part under the enamel is rusting. The lock to the door did not work - the lock could pull off almost entirely when it was closed. The neighborhood immediately surrounding it was sketchy and lots of unhoused individuals were wandering around while seemingly intoxicated.

The room was dirty; there were even smudges on the walls.
Do NOT look at the box springs under the mattress- the one in my room had rusty stains all over it.
But the worst was the insanely strong odor of cleaning products; it triggered my asthma and gave me a skin rash.
When I went to discuss it at check out, there was nobody there to talk to; they had even taken the bell at the counter away to ring for help. Nobody answered when I called the motel for assistance.

Room was dirty and smelled of cleaning chemicals. Triggered an allergic reaction and an asthma attack. Sister broke out in a rash from whatever they use to \"clean\" their bed linens. Nothing like their pictures. Had to leave a few hours after checkin. Staff said nothing other than no problem that we were leaving within only a few hours of check in. Offered no apology and any type of rectification. Horrible experience.

I use Expedia so motel's like this can not steal from me. However, this motel found a way. They charged $100 deposit and only returned $95, claiming an administrative fee. This reflects negatively on Expedia as well as this location. I would recommend not staying here and not using Expedia because they do not protect you against thieves like this.

I got there 15 minutes before check-in and the guy who came to the desk from the back room did not look presentable and told me 3 o’clock that’s it one word 3 o’clock. I asked if I had to come back at three and he said yes so after looking at the grounds and the potholes all over the place and seeing how rundown this place was and it’s right next-door to an adult store, I decided that this place is not acceptable to stay at

Hotel was good comfortable beds just wish they would offer a blanket and not the thin sheet type things they had on the bed. I like to sleep with it cold but not with our some.ki d of light blanket. Other than that the stay was great.
Jack the hotel manager was very nice. Location is good and no creepy people hanging around.

Although this place is renovated, with ceilings with brown leak spots, floors are not level.in bathrooms, clean overall, but we had peeping toms looking out the curtain when we were going to our room. It has an adult store right next door, and people sitting on a wall by it; looked creepy in the area. We wanted to leave, but chanced it. Slept gud, and no bedbugs here. At least the restroom was clean, and beds were comfy. Deposit for this place was not mentioned except it said pay $5.00 at the office. Paid $100.00 deposit here. It was a quiet stay, and we won't reserve room here again. Foreign Indians run this place and you can smell the aroma and spices they cook with through the walls.

We needed a quick couple hours of sleep after baseball before our 5am flight. Property didn't look like the photos, the rooms OK in terms of cleanliness, no hairs or anythign that stood our but probably the worst room quality we've ever stayed in in the world. Only a sheet on the beds, which weren't sitting straight on their frames. Splotchy half painted wall. Ironing board without a cover. Didn't feel comfortable or safe.

The outside looked good. The inside of the room was partially refurbished. A desk was missing, the dresser/tv stand was crumbling. We only had 1 wash cloth. There were no blankets only a sheet.

A real bargain near Old Town Scottsdale

If you want to be near and yiu like to walk this is a perfect location and a real bargain.

We walked to Old Town at 11pm on a Sat night and felt completely safe.

The front desk staff was great. It was clean and fleshly painted. The bed was really comfortable. I'm used to sleeping under a blanket. I like the weight on me. I could have used a blanket. We were in the back unit so the road traffic noise was less for us.

I lifted up the fitted sheet to find out what the large mattress lumps were, and discovered the mattresses are thoroughly stained with bodily fluids, worn out / lumpy, and there is no protective or waterproof layer. Its just the mattress and a thin sheet you sleep on

Room smelled of fresh cigarette smoke-even though it was a “non-smoking “ room. There was crumbs all over the floor. Black marks on the comforter as if someone had walked on top of it. Bathroom was dirty and there was no toilet paper roll holder, so the small; remaining roll of toilet paper was set on the toilet(no, there wasn’t a new roll of paper). The front lobby was unclean and had crumbs and trash on the floor. The hotel seemed as though it was set up as a pay by the hour hotel. I was traveling with my 7 month daughter, there is no way in Hadies was I going to allow my daughter stay a moment longer in that room. We literally booked another hotel, checked out of that so called hotel and left to a far more comfortable place. Do not recommend!

The room was very sketchy, dirty, with many maintenance issues. The door jam was broken like somebody tried to kick it in, And I could see daylight looking through the front door because it was barely on the hinges. The walls were very dirty, And we were afraid to walk around on the floor, barefoot. The shower has many voids in the grout and water is leaking into the wall. The one chair for the desk had duct tape on the arm rests. I noticed housekeeping, cleaning the room next-door. The beds were stripped, and there was many stains on the mattresses. I was afraid to look under my sheets After that. The room is a four person occupancy room and there were only two towels. But my sheets were clean the TV was OK. And it did have a mini fridge that froze everything, Pretty sure the thermostats broken on that cause I turned it all the way down, And a microwave. I forgot to mention the front planters did not have plants in them only weeds. And the location is between a Wendy’s and an adult store. I only stayed there because it was cheaper than anything else and it was two blocks from the venue I was attending. I would recommend staying somewhere else.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!!!

My friends and I arrived at check in. We were unloading our bags and accidentally dropped/broke a glass bottle. We were finishing unloading our stuff and planned to clean up the broken glass outside of
our door. Before we got the chance, the guy at check in who claimed to be “owner” come banging on our door, yelled/ cussed us out for not cleaning up the broken glass, threatened kicked us out, called the cops on us, and said he wasn’t going to provide a refund. Cops showed up and he refused to talk to them even though he is the one who called them. He also told me to call hotels.com for my refund since he refused to proved it and still took $100 deposit from me. Hotels.com called the “owner” and he hung up on them and refused to give his name/ job title. WORST 30 MINS EVER OF BEING THERE!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND

The gentleman that checked me in was very friendly. Checking out, the lobby door was locked. There was a mailbox to put key cards into.
The motel was old and outdated. Cheapest hotel for the area. Tub was rusted and peeling by the faucet. Toilet seat was very loose and almost dangerous.Paint peeling off the wall. I requested an accessible room but I don’t think I got one as the handicapped parking spot was a couple doors down and blocked with a construction cone.

I drove for 9 hrs from ca n got there around 11pm. Hotels said I would pay $20 at the counter but this guy charged me $100 in addition to my stay fee. When I told him the site indicated $20, he turned around n went into room… I was forced to pay since it was late at night n I had my son in the car. He gave me a room in an isolated area. Once in room, walls had stains n so did the water faucet. Bed was comfortable. But I will never stay here again. Rodeway Inn was adequate based on the nightly rate. The lighting in the bedroom and vanity area were somewhat dim. Possible switching to LED bulbs with high light output. The plumbing in the shower/tub should be repaired/replaced; excessing leaking when the water is turned on.

My room was clean, the bed was fine, and the AC was cold. The man who checked me in was friendly and helpful. That being said this is Old Town Scottsdale in name only. It’s wedged in between an adult bookstore and a car wash. The primary issue would be security. The door never felt completely/securely locked-even with the “deadbolt” engaged I could’ve kicked it open with one well-placed sneaker.

ZERO STARS!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!! They say they take people's feedback into account but they do not, all past issues from old reviews are present and nothing has been fixed.
Nothing good of note from this location, other than the fact that the exit to road is easily accessible because that is exactly what you want to do as soon as you drive in. Room smelled of cigarette smoke even though it's a non smoking room and when person at counter was confronted all he said was \" a nice old couple were there grilling and they must have left the door open and the smell must have gone in\" . Proceeded to give us incense for the smell. Found a rib bone on top of the AC unit and told him about it, but he said \"all rooms are inspected before hand\" clearly they are not inspected. Floors were sticky, and bathtub filthy. STAY AWAY, better off sleeping in your car. Wish a refund was possible but I highly doubt it considering this sketchy location's track record. Didnt even stay the night

There was medical grade scissors and clamps left under the bed, the trash wasn’t emptied and full of drug paraphernalia (foil and residue from smoking fentanyl), someone’s lingerie and the floor was so dirty when I got out of the shower, the mat in front of the tub turned black. Fast check in if you use third party. If you can get past overwhelming smell of curry in the office it’s not a bad stay. Rooms are tired but clean. Good bed and a fridge with good pressure and temp from the shower. Caution, the price means you will have low income travelers next to you and all that comes with them. Location is good with plenty of eating establishments near by. I will stay here again.

I live stayed at this hotel before and didn’t have any problems. This time after making a reservation which was confirmed we headed to the hotel.we got there a bit after midnight. Mind you I’ve Che med in in the past at the same time with no issues. This night the sign in the wi doe gave a phone number to call for assistance. I called for I’d say a good hour and a half and not once did anyone answer or return any of my messages. The end result was no room and wasn’t able to get refunded, and Expedia wasnt at all helpful.

Thought I was going to enjoy it but when I got there I paid for a suite right more money for suite . And he decided to give me the smaller room . And I told him hey man I got a suite he looks again like he didn’t see it the first time . Had the nerve to ask me are you going to be using the kitchen area ! Like that’s none of your business but I told him yes then he ask can you cook !! Like wow and when it came down to just having my uncle over because I having issues with a place to stay rn. The bad teeth front desk guy told me no visitors at all a don’t be going in an out the room !!! Like what th fu#* and then said if you do not like that then leave rn !! So rude an I felt so disrespected

This was a really wonderful place to stay, especially considering the price. Amazing value for a quick stay. We had to arrive very late (11pm) for my wife’s surgery the next morning. Check-in was easy and fast, staff was very friendly and nice and didn’t even take a deposit. Property was newly updated & painted and felt very clean and nice for a $70 room.
