Good location and warm reception staff (thank you, Jackie). Single is a little small, bathroom included, but functional for a short stay. Floors could benefit from repair - they sag and creak - though not easy, I realize. Deposits not rare these days, but it would be far more efficient to require guests to pay for food and/or drinks when services are rendered, rather than making everyone go through extra steps on check in and check out and risking good will. Internet sign in also unnecessarily cumbersome.

The lady manager greeted us on arrival, she was very friendly and helpful and bubbly which made a difference to our stay it mad us feel welcome, the only thing was there wasn't always someone on reception.
The restaurant was nice but wasn't keen on the very large thick cut chips which were under cooked. And I'm not sure if the person serving us was a man or a woman...he spoke and looked like a man but had a dress on!!!
Although he/she was pleasant and helpful serving us, but I think he'd been better wareing trousers as the young girl waitresses did.

Late night check-in and stopover after getting off the Isle of Man ferry at midnight. The only place with 24 hour check in without going to Lancaster, 2nd time staying, got a newly renovated room, very comfy bed and a great breakfast the next morning. Will 100% use this hotel again if in Morecambe

Nice hotel and friendly staff

We've stayed here a few times when visiting Morecambe. The hotel is well situated, the staff are great, and it's all pretty clean and well maintained. The main drawback is that the rooms are small, and we've stayed in a few different ones, this trip being the most cramped. The staff are lovely, the restaurant is better than you might expect, and everyone is chatty. If you're travellng light or solo for a couple of nights it's OK, but if you've got luggage, and aren't that slim, you may have some issues.

Everything was fine,I didnt have any meals in the hotel restaurant so cant comment.
The room was small but tidy.
Directly opposite from the hotel is morecambe bay, which is beautiful.
The hotel is situated at the end of the prom.

Rooms nearby were quiet noisy this time, I've stayed before and never heard anyone, all was quiet by midnight and a good nights sleep. Bad customer service and instant judgement

I will be writing a formal complaint about the staff and the charges they are saying i will be getting, made instant judgement against me and my partner and made accusations that he cannot proove as they weren't true and also saying he could see things in our room from where he was standing which was impossible from where he was stood. It was diabolical the customer service given!!! I knocked the smoke alarm when getting photos and it fell out the ceiling, it wasnt screwed in properly so couldnt have been screwed in properly, this could of caused injury if it had fell during the night!!!

Don't like the fact that my card was debited £50 despite assurance it wouldn't be. I had already paid so why the debit on my card? Hoping this is refunded ASAP .I understand a swipe in case of damage etc , but they should definitely not have taken a debit from it without my authority. BLACK MARK FOR THIS. A suggestion would be to provide disposable shower/bath sponges. Also bedroom walls are very thin meaning enforced listening to next room's conversation. Otherwise ok.

Couldn't get in the rear as I structured. The front door was faulty and injured my foot. This was already reported earlier that day. Couldn't get a correct invoice on checkout. Promised a managers call to resolve this, didn't happen. Staff do not care at all. I stay in over 200 rooms per year on business and won't be back here.
I have asked for a copy of the accident report required by law, the response was only if I can see your medical records. Corrupt and rude staff,

A lovely stay on a dreary day!

The hotel is inconspicuous on a dreary day but has double doors from the bar to the street so would be lovely on a summers day.

The rooms are spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was fitted with a lovely modern shower and the vista was straight out to the Bay (which was sadly freak and dreary).

One lady (Margaret) was amazing. She checked me in and made sure I was happy with everything. Then after I went to my room I went to the bar and was being served pints by Margaret again. £4.50 per pint for Wainwrights was nice to see (a hotel that doesn’t take your eyes

Breakfast was good although staff didn’t seem so committed.

Wifi was adequate for what I needed it for.

I didn’t use the hotel parking because it was free to park in the loading bays (and legal) until 09:00hrs!

The only drawback was I was going to Lancaster University the next day and although Google maps said 19mins (at 7.20pm in the evening) the reality in the morning was nearly 1 hour ….. so not ideal if you have to be somewhere in rush hour and need to go through Lancaster!!

That said, I would have no issue staying here again.

I would not recommend this hotel. The room did not look like the room I was booking on the website. We were welcomed into the room with a lovely odour of grease, and the smell of an old folks home! The room was very small, you could barely swing a cat around in it! The bed was certainly not a double bed. I’d class it as a large single. Having a TV in the room was pointless as there were no channels on them! The room wasn’t the cleanest, and to top it off, the room was that hot, I felt like I was literally going to melt! I brought an ice cold bottle of water with me into the hotel and by the morning the water had turned lukewarm! We couldn’t actually wait for morning to arrive so we could go home! I’d of had a better nights sleep on a washing line! I don’t know how this hotel is actually still in business!

A pleasant sea front hotel.

A pleasant, clean and comfortable sea front hotel with friendly and efficient staff. The room was clean and bed very comfortable with the makings of tea and coffee well stocked. The compact shower WC en suite was very clean with good quality towels provided.
The hotel bar/restaurant has a good menu and comfortable environment with a great view of Morecambe bay.
Very limited parking at the rear of the hotel but unrestricted parking in front between 6pm and 9am overnight with a public pay and display carpark beside the RNLI building opposite.

One of the things I like about reviewing hotels is when the manager exercises their right to reply. It should give readers pause if they don’t.

This is a general indication as to whether they care about their property enough to defend it or care enough about their guests to address any issues.

Don’t get me wrong, it was nice enough. Nothing outstanding, nothing terrible. I just got the feeling that any minor issues would be ignored and any major issues would trigger the sound of dragging feet.

Indifferent would be my feeling about this hotel and, I suspect, their feeling about me.

PS: £38.85 for two breakfasts? Really?

Not great, room was tired, 504, screw head hanging out of lightswitch, scorch mark on ceiling light, carpet edges by skirting boards not hoovered , noisy with road noise, silicone needed around sink, I'll fitted wardrobe. The property is old so be aware of what your expectations are, the whole building creaks if anyone walks. The showers are small and you will struggle to shower freely. The carpets/wallpaper are of various colors, making it look darker. I would not rate it bad, but you shall be aware you are not paying for 5 star hotel - so you get what you pay.

One night stay, that was enough. View was good, facing the sea. Parking was free outside in the loading only bays between 6.30pm and 9.00am. Reception staff were good too. But the hotel is a little worn and noisy. You can hear people moving around in the rooms above and we were above the bar and the thud, thud of the music until it closed was annoying.

The noise and vibration caused by the “music” from the bar right under our room was intolerable. It started mid morning and continued throughout the day, getting increasingly louder as the night went on. There was a private function on the first night which was so loud it practically caused our floor to bounce. We were quite unable to relax let alone sleep. Both nights it went on beyond the time we were told it would end and the reception staff were unhelpful and totally indifferent when we complained. Would not recommend this property under any circumstances.

Arrived after 9pm and found the reception area deserted apart from an on-line check-in screen. It did not recognise my name or the booking number given by Hotels.com. Phoned the helpline number given on the screen a couple of times but both times got a message that the number wasn't recognised. Pressed the emergency call button on the reception desk but it fell apart. Re-assembled it and tried again, but nothing happened. Looked up the hotel's telephone number and called it. Managed to speak to someone who came down to reception. She insisted that I must present a credit card so that they could reserve £20 for sundry expenses, despite paying in full in advance by debit card. I was very tired and annoyed and couldn't correctly remember the PIN number for my credit card, so I said that I would leave a £20 note if she gave me a receipt, which she did grudgingly. I took the lift and went through a maze of corridors to the room, which was adequate although it had no view. In the morning I tried to re-trace the route to the lift, but my key card wouldn't open the fire door on the corridor. I opened another door that had a fire exit sign and went down some back stairs, along a corridor, down some more stairs, through a bar and eating area, until I found the reception area 2 floors below. When I complained I was told that this is deliberate, and my room didn't have access to the corridor leading to the lift! Collected my £20 note and left without enquiring about breakfast.

Had to check out early for work reasons but wish I didn't have to! Had such a lovely stay. The staff, in particular Maddie (I think her name was) the receptionist was so friendly and did everything she could for me.

The room was amazing. Had a rain shower and the bathroom was clean. The bed was soooo comfy. Lots of tea and coffee were available.

We stayed seeing relatives between Christmas and the New Year.
Check in was automated and efficient, but no real way to ask any questions.
Room was good for the price we paid (it was 'out of season').
Bar staff were great, but the main bar was closed, which was a shame. We had to sit in the lounge area which was pleasant, but didn't have the views we'd hoped for.
Got the impression not may people were staying at that time.
Definitely worth staying and will stay again, maybe when more facilities are open.

Room at back of hotel was very small and creaky - noisiest hotel I think I have ever stayed in! Staff going in and out of back door below us and each time door slammed the room shook!
I have stayed in quite a few Best Western Hotels and this is definitely the worst room ever! It wasn't 'budget' either compared to previous BW stays and recent Premier Inn etc. Had it been I may not have been too boh

I had a 2 night stay. Check in was quick and reception staff were pleasant. I parked one night in a pay car park opposite and was given free parking at the rear of the building for the second night.

Disappointed I was not offered a sea view room - the hotel didn’t seem busy at all. For prospective bookers - the rooms offering a sea view are bigger, airier and have a lovely sea view. We had a small room at the rear overlooking a side road.

The Aspect Bar is nice.

Heads up - if you want your room serviced make sure you ask to make sure it is. Ours wasn’t. My wife phoned down for some clean towels and coffee making accoutrements. 10 minutes or so later a young lady attended our room to announce that ‘she had been brought in on her day off to bring us some towels and milks!’ 😬

I’m not going to comment on beds / decor etc as these are personal opinions and preferences.

The room had a lovely sea view, the bed was large and comfy and the pillows were good. However the bathroom was tiny, the shower temperature did not adjust properly and the toilet had not been cleaned! The staff on reception were helpful and got the bathroom cleaned straight away, but it did make us wonder about the general hygiene of the place.
The bar/restaurant staff were very good and although we did not eat there, the cocktails were delicious!

The rooms were shocking, the toilet and showers were not cleaned. There was human hair on the walls. The seating in the restaurant was shockly poor bearing in mind we are in a pandemic. If this hotel is a three star then there is a problem with the rating system. The food was poor. My wife got fish and chips which was just soaked in oil. I will not be staying in this or any other Best Western Hotels, and certainly wont be recommending them
