This hotel meets most expectations for a budget hotel -- the room is clean and quiet. The staffs did their jobs. The breakfast is not fancy but have something basic. The location is ok -- not many food choices around. But it is close to a major hospital. So, I guess many guests are either patients from other places or patients' families who need to be close to their loved ones.

One major problem of my room was the window leakage. After a night of heavy rain, a puddle of water had formed under the window, making our shoes wet.

The room design is nice and spacious except some facilities eg. bathroom light sometimes keep flashing and the tv reception not good when heavy rain comes the channels will go offline. After rain has stopped one of the chinese channel still continues to go offline.

I would have provided a five star rating if the bed wasn’t just so uncomfortable (too firm for a seven night stay).

Awesome Stay with Great Convenience

Our stay is amazing with friendly staff at housekeeping and front desk. The rooms are also great enough for a group of 3 for us, and can host up to 4 pax. Just that the bathroom in my room has spider webs, and would be great if that can be cleared up. Other than that, the room was awesome. It has a little dining table which is awesome for us to feast our dinner and supper on rainy nights. Overall a great stay, thank you. It is also important to note that there is a pharmacy and convenience store at the ground floor so it is really convenient if you are missing anything. :)

The room was reasonably spacious, with room to move for 2 adults, nice solid bed, bathroom is well appointed the room has a safe deposit box which is handy, it has a laundry room with a rm30 per wash. The parking is free and easily accessible.Location along McAllister Road is great for food, 15 minutes walk to New Lane.

Their service was good. Booked family room. Their rooms were clean and well kept. Also the location of the hotel is very strategic. Most of the tourist spot locations are in walking distance. They also had 7-eleven just beside the hotel which is very convenient. Just that the check in takes some time if you go on peak time and also their parking is limited.

The rooms are very spacious ant 35 sqm! The windows are big so light comes in . It is near GeorgeTown historic centre so we can visit the town , have dinner and enjoy the street art then have s peaceful night sleep away from noisy bars and restaurant within Georgetown who can stay open until 7 am!

Nice but noisy

Nice and clean place. But there is no sound proof at all. Constantly hearing children playing, screaming, crying through the hallway although they are in their room. Chair screeching and moving from the floor above doesn't help. You cannot have a quiet moment for awhile. You can expect others to hear you as well.

we like the room it was spacious, and clean... However the downside was.... bed was a bit hard and only two pillows, (low quality ones) would be better to have a few more, considering the quality of pillows.
also we got a room which was facing the street and the window seal is broken so we cant lock the window.

During the night there was a parade/event on the street
with very loud music up until 3.30 AM so we couldn't sleep until 4 AM which was quite irritating as the hotel did not notify this before we book the room.

breakfast was adequate, nothing fancy, just some rice, noodle, potatoes, sausage, coffe/tea, breads but enough and quite pleasant. the restaurant is quite spacious and clean.

I stayed in One Pacific Hotel 3 nights during my trip in Malaysia. The hotel looks quite new and clean. My hotel window was facing the courtyard and the room was quiet. The hotel staff is nice and helpful. The area seems safe.
The hotel is located not really walking distance from city centre and its attractions. On the other side easily accessible by short drive with Grab taxi ( any day and night time).In the same building you can find 7-Eleven and in walking distance few restaurants.
In my opinion this place as good value for money and I can recommend to people looking standard ( mid-range ) hotel for not expensive stay in George Town.

You won't get a beautiful facade or boutique like furnishing. But you would be pleased with the cleanliness,comfort and spaciousness of the room. Friendly staff that are responsive to your requests. There is no gym, no coin operated laundromat, no lavish restaurants and cafe. But there is a simple cafe and 711 convenient stall that would serve your most pressing needs for food and necessities. The whole hotel is newly renovated and the aircon, water heating, plumbing is still pretty brand new, giving hotel guests peace of mind. Well run hotel.

Our favorite hotel of the 4 different places we stayed at while in Georgetown. Clean, quiet, big room with mini fridge, comfortable bed, large bathroom / shower, great friendly staff, good simple tasty breakfast buffet (and lunch also), good location, approximately 20 minute walk to Komtar for example if you like to walk, or many buses / Grab options.
A 7-11 and a pharmacy right next door/in same building. This is where we would stay if we visit Penang again.

Nice hotel and close to night markets. Hotel bed are a bit short for europeans also bed cover is not wide enough. Overall I recommend this hotel but make sure you are very early for the hot food at breakfast. By the way the head chef is very friendly 🤗

This is my second stay at the same hotel. When I stayed last year, I’m impressed with the room facilities and cleanliness which makes make come to stay at the same hotel again this year. Always my choice whenever visiting Penang with friends and family's for following reasons:-

In city centre
Sufficient car park bays
Easy to get grab cars
Helpful security officers especially with the handicaps
choice of 2 rooms with living room and mini kitchen facilities (only lacking in the mini kitchen is paper towels to dry hands) which works out to be more economical than a hotel room suite

Prefect place to stay. 02 bedroom apartement is really clean n convinient. Specially for those who is olanning to go to hospital. Just a cross the street is Loh Guan Lye hospiral. 5-7 minutes walk to Island hospital and 7 minutes by taxi to Gleneagles hospital
Easy to find the food .. just next to hotel there is nice nasi hainam resturant.. or try the hawker nearby jalan ranggon or new lne just a 5-10 minutes walk

They also have a convinenient store

1st of all this hotel is nice to be only 3 star. Only disadvantage. The only public bus 102 doesnt go pass Jalan Mclaster from Komtar station. It also take 45 mins before another bus comes along. Found out the street is one way only going back to Komtar & Jetty w/ 101 bus #. Also most hotel have limited English channel & news.

Wonderful food trip with family. Amazing food!

We were on a local food trip with the family. Enjoy the hawker foods a lot and easy to move around using grab. Love the Penang laksa, chendol, char Kuen Teow, Lor Har, etc.

The street art is very nice, perenakan house plus wonderful food museum were very interesting. We truly love the places that we visited.

The Nonya food at Winn’s cafe is the best that we had, definitely highly recommended. We loved the oral oral, steam fish, curry kapitan, sago pudding with fresh coconut milk and the pulut Hitam..... so yummy! Very reasonable price for good quality foods!

Projeck nasi lemak ...... we had 3 different styles —— grilled cheese lobster, Ayam n sotong, and they are just amazing.

Conveniently located in Georgetown where u can easily call for Grab or Uber to get to nearby places. The apartment style rooms are spacious and clean for families or group of friends. 7-eleven conveniently located downstairs for purchase of necessities. A rather popular chicken rice shop is located just next to the apartment. Wifi connection is average perhaps becos it is peak tourism period as the external network seemed to be slowed down too.

Good hotel but public transport bit difficult

Very clean room and free water bottles provided everyday. Staff also very helpful with any questions. Only issue is the one way road it's on; there is a bus stop right outside to take you straight into Georgetown, but getting back and getting to Batu Ferringhi but bus is a bit of a nightmare as the buses don't stop there on their way back. Other than that, very nice modern hotel.

It's just an average stay. In the web it says 3 1/2 -4 star hotel but it's over rated and a little over priced. Apart from a pretty new and clean hotel, There is nothing much to offfer. Need transport to get around as there is no restaurant or food stall nearby.
Requested for 2 extra pillows was told they'll only provide 1 because each room only entitle for 2 pillows
The breakfast was just average and both days are having same menus but the service staffs are very friendly and helpful

I'm so happy with the room, well at first we booked for standard room and request for king bed size but when we checked in, they only have twin size so they suggested us to upgrade to executive room with additional charge, not really a nice check in experience but after we stayed we thought that we made the right choice, since the room is not only spacious but it's quite soundproof. We can sleep well and happy wifh our stay. The surrounding of the hotel also nice, like 7eleven, pharmacy, Sin Nam Huat (chicken and pork rice), etc. Happy to come back to this hotel.

The room is big enough for 2 people to stay in standard room with acceptable price in Penang. Clean, location is good which very near to Gurney, customer service is friendly enough. I've problem with my standard room which the air cond is not working & they upgraded me to executive room which is even bigger without any extra charges. The hotel is very near to major attractions in Penang. Parking spaces were provided for hotel guests free of charge. We opt for aprtment with 2 rooms and it was a very comfortable stay. The hotel is new and clean. The only hiccup is the provided wifi connection was really slow. Highly recommended for a short/long stay in Penang. Will definitely come again!
