A few things went wrong with our check in experience. The lobby was busy on our arrival which understandably adds pressure to the front desk staff. After giving us forms to fill in, they didn’t give us any hotel information and asked us to wait for our room to be ready. This was nearly 5pm and check in was meant to be from 2 pm.
Our room was on the second floor overlooking a building site, which was disappointing as we had booked a superior room. That said, we completely understand this isn’t something they can necessarily control. However, despite there being two of us, there was only one bottle of water, one glass, one chocolate and one gown in the room. We spoke to the staff about this and they were apologetic, brought up the missing amenities and gave us a bottle of wine, which was good of them.
The pool and restaurants areas were beautiful, however, this certainly didn’t feel like a 5-star experience. We’re seasoned travellers and have had more warmth and a better customer focused experience at 3-star hotels.

The room itself was very good and comfortable, and once checked in, the stay was pleasant.

However, the pre-check-in experience was not ideal. We arrived early in the morning due to a last-minute itinerary change and were told early check-in would cost $70, which we were fine with. The issue was the lack of communication — we were asked to wait without being told how long, while traveling with a child. After waiting about 15 minutes with no update, the manager attended to other guests, and only after we mentioned canceling was availability checked and a room assigned shortly after.

Extra fees and waiting are understandable, but clearer communication, especially when traveling with a child, would have made a big difference.

Excellent, modern hotel with great design features and fabulous art throughout. Very warm service, incredible buffet breakfast with many high quality choices. Walkable within a few blocks of the telegenic, which is the best transportation ever!! We also figured out the local collectivos (take the yellow topped minibuses!)… if not you’re just a little far from the centro, about 30 mins in uber. Oh did I mention the pool? Swoon!!

This institution is professional, kind, always there for their guests. I have no complaint, everything was perfect. Room service was great, the pool and spa area was great. The bar staff were efficient. The front office people were super helpful in setting up taxis. The breakfast was amazing. We had just come back from climbing Huayna Potosi and despite looking like backpackers the staff all treated us like their best clients. We were charmed by the place and woukd highly recommebd it to anyone going to La Paz. The location is not necessarily the best as it is far away from downtown but still has the benefit if being super quiet.

The hotel AC was not functioning at all entered room ac was 23 went to lunch came back it was 25.5 they switched my room and brought a portable ac unit however they just laid exhaust on ground so unit was blowing cool but exhaust was blowing hot very disappointed started in room at 24.5 left room it was 31 . Staff didn’t care it was beyond hot I changed my flight and left a day earlier not impressed at all !!

Nice hotel, be mindful.

Nice hotel. We stayed on two occasions, before and after the salt flats. On both occasions the heating in our room didn’t work. The first time we asked for it to be fixed which it was, the second time we were over having to ask. The safe also didn’t work and had to be fixed. Edwin on reception is AWESOME, some of the other staff not so much (arrogant).

Be mindful that they’ll change USD1 for 10 Boliviano’s but when you check out they’ll charge you in USD at the rate of the day (6 boliviano to 1 USD). Ask to pay in local currency and exchange cash. We were over charged by USD40+ because of their little ‘system’.

Overall I’d stay again even though it feels that they lack integrity on their currency exchange.

We loved our stay at Atix! The staff was so helpful and nice, our room was comfortable and quiet. All the art in the building is so unique and it gave the hotel a great personality. We also absolutely loved the indoor pool and sauna. We watched the most beautiful sunset overlooking the city and Mountain View from the pool while eating empanadas from the pool area. Incredible stay. Definitely recommend!!

If you are traveling to La Paz The Atix is the hotel to stay at. It is a very nice neighborhood. The amenities are wonderful. The pool and jacuzzi are located on the seventh floor enclosed because it is a bit chilly in La Paz. The staff is so welcoming and accommodating, from late night room service, to midnight shuttle service to the airport for a 3 am flight. Our room was very comfortable with a king size bed. A wonderful buffet breakfast. Choose the Atix when you plan your trip to La Paz.

Our experience at Atix Hotel in La Paz was exceptional from the moment we checked in. We felt warmly welcomed, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was impressive. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. One of the highlights is the stunning view; especially from the 7th floor, where you get a 360-degree panoramic view of the city. It’s truly a relaxing and breathtaking spot to unwind.

Additionally, the hotel was very flexible with check-in and check-out, which was incredibly helpful since we had a couple of tours during our visit.

The staff here went above and beyond all day all the time. The service was impeccable. The rooms were big, clean and fairly priced. The restaurant staff went above and beyond. clean tasty meals served with great care. The free breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The best cappicino any where. Restaurant staff customer service blew us away.

I enjoyed every aspect of this hotel and I highly recommend it. I've never stayed in a hotel with such gracious staff. The staff did everything they could to make our stay go smoothly. The property is a 10! The views from the pool/roof top bar are amazing.

Especially loved Samuel in the restaurant and Edwin at the front desk.

We had a lovely time at the Atix Hotel. It’s beautiful, clean and the staff could not be more accommodating! I enjoyed day lounging at the pool and had a massage while my husband rode Death Road on a bike. He restaurant had yummy food and was very convenient.

I loved the style of the hotel- the art and decor in reception and dining are beautiful! Food was good, I had 2 dinners there. My bed was awesome!!!! We stayed for five days at the Atix, and we were very happy with our stay. The breakfast provided was very good, the staff was very helpful, and the hotel was clean and well-maintained. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Atix is a very private place. It is very expensive for the area especially when considering using a day pass for the pool and such. We were really excited to see why it is so exclusive. We left still not sure why. The pool has a great view but is the smallest pool of any hotel in zona sur. The food was absolutely terrible, we tried breakfast and it was so bad we ordered out. We tried room service and even ordered multiple things to see what was good, and the answer was nothing. The room was fine, again nothing special. The staff was kind and discounted us one night because the food was so bad. Never going back and would never suggest staying here. You pay US prices for an extremely subpar place. Looks can be deceiving, it looks cool and modern but is definitely not there yet.

Nice hotel, but the details matter

The location is great, the staff are incredibly warm and helpful, and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. We were disappointed that 2 of our 3 night stay, the hotel pool and bar were “closed for a private event”. That’s really not acceptable. Hotel guests should have priority over the spaces they have paid to use. And while I respect the hotel’s desire to make revenue from events and be a “cool party space” - it should not come at the sacrifice of the guest’s experience. We could hear the thumping bass music from the party on the roof from 4 levels below.
Lastly - there are only 4 pool loungers to support 53 rooms. That space can probably be better utilized.

Great property but had an incident with a room next door partying till 5am…the hotel seemed unable to deal with it or untrained. There only solution was to suggest to move me at 5am…which was unacceptable. They next day they informed me they penalized the other room but didn’t credit me anything and Im the one that lost a nights sleep and a ruined next day of vacation.

My wife and I absolutely love this hotel. We have stayed at Atix a couple times and have had a wonderful stay each time. The staff is incredible, professional, friendly and kind! We will absolutely stay here every time we travel to La Paz and I would highly recommend this hotel!

Gorgeous hotel with really interesting art work and a chic design throughout its rooms and public spaces. The customer service was also fabulous - we were in a rush one morning and asked the staff to serve breakfast quickly if possible. They served it within a few minutes and the breakfast was delicious!

The best hotel in La Paz. Everything was excellent: the bed, the front desk staff, breakfast. Also, it is at slightly lower altitude then other parts of La Paz so that may be helpful for visitors.

The hotel has a great vibe, lots of art and colors. The staff is nothing short of amazing. The are always on the line for anything you need, even if it's something that ahs to come from outside the hotel. Also the seem to be always happy and ready to help.

Boutique hotel in the best area of La Paz. One of the best customer service I have ever received (and I have been around to over 55 countries); absolutely everyone in the hotel was extremely helpful and kind; they make you feel right at home. Paola went above and beyond her means to answer all my questions and meet my needs. The Taxi service was superb and the recommendations right on point. The pool area is magnificent with breath taking views of the city and the mountains. Spacious room with comfortable bedding and pillows; extremely clean. You must stay here if you come to La Paz

Great stay in Lap Paz

This hotel is one of the best hotels in La
Paz. It’s also featured in The Hotel Book. The view on the 6th floor was amazing. They actually have towels fresh ones at that. Hotels in La Paz does not like to offer towels, so very thankful for this one who does. Keep in mind this hotel is 45 minutes away from the air port. Heads up if you want a taxi it’s better to get it from the streets it’s cheaper and you can also negotiate prices.

Lovely design hotel in a quiet area residential of La Paz which has a small pool, sauna, hammam - perfect for a break. The staff is very nice and helpful. Last but not least the famous restaurant Gustu is walking distance.

Best Hotel I've Stayed in South America

This was my first time visiting La Paz. What an incredible experience, the Hotel is full of Art from a Bolivian artist. Make sure you read the Art Book to better understand all the gorgeous art all over.

Staff were so unique and friendly. Excellent!
The room was spotless with gorgeous views
The Food at the restaurant was Top !!!
Recommendations were great

Overall I loved that all the people around the Hotel were genuine nice and made my experience unforgettable! Enjoy your stay!!

Friendly staff, beautifull design & excellent food

Everyone was extra friendly, attentive and helpfull in every way! The design of the hotel is spot on. It is modern, chic, elegant, and with all of its bolivian made materials and local art, it makes it the perfect place to stay. And the food!!!! We only got to have breakfast, but it was delicious, and rivals any of the best restaurants in the world, if not better!

Lovely design hotel. In a quiet neighbourhood - location isn’t ideal if you want to do more downtown but there is the cable car system about 500m walk away which makes it all very accessible.
I loved the big comfy bed, excellent water pressure. WiFi wasn’t super reliable but then again - where in Bolivia is it???
Staff went out of their way to help and were all delightful.
My only downside is that there should be a couple of loungers next to the pool instead of just chairs. Also would be nice to have the bar by the pool open earlier for drinks or at least have a staff member checking in if drinks are needed.
But overall a lovely stay in a beautiful hotel. All the artwork is fantastic.

Service Like You Have Never Experienced!!!!

We stayed 2 nights at Atix Hotel and I cannot explain the service that we were provided at the hotel. Jane and all members of the team are beyond exceptional.

We had some hiccups with our flights to Uyuni and the team jumped straight in to try and contact the airlines to sort the issue and additionally sent one of the members to one of the flight store locations to see if they could fix the issue in person.

They provided us with take away breakfast since we had to leave the hotel so early for the airport. All things were taken care of and everyone was so accommodating.

The cleanliness and comfort of the hotel was perfect. It is beautifully decorated with incredible style.

I wish I could give the hotel 6 stars because it was one of the most delightful stays! Thank you to the team at Atix.
