Do not expect 5-star service/hospitality.

When we checked in, the keycards weren't working, there was electrical issues with the vent in the bathroom, and the ensuite phone wasn't working. For 45+ minutes and after multiple trips up and down (between the room and front desk) in an attemp to resolve the issues, the keycard/door, the bathroom vent, and the ensuite phone still weren't working, but the hotel still refused to change our rooms until I asked about 4 or 5 times, and personally showed the manager all the issues.
We had booked this hotel for the pool/sauna facilities, so when checking in, we specifically asked about its opening hours. The sauna opens at 7am, so we went down at 9am, but it wasn't working yet. When we asked the front desk why the sauna wasn't working, and they said it starts at 10am. I went down to the pool/sauna again, took a photo of the notice that said sauna starts at 7am, and showed it to frontdesk. Only then, they changed their words and said that we need to let them know an hour before use. No one had told us this, but the front desk kept trying to shift the blame to us, saying that they tell all guests this at check-in. Not a single "sorry", but just constantly changing their words and telling us it is our fault.
After we made these requests/complaints, the hotel staff became visibly rude to us and stopped treating us like guests. We have never felt so unwelcomed and unsafe at any hotel.
Worst experience at any hotel (let alone a supposedly 5-star hotel).

This was a great place to stay. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the restaurant was excellent. The daily breakast buffet was awesome with fresh fruit, juices, omelettes, etc. Alejandro and his team in reception helped us get transportation for our group of 10 to travel around the city of La Paz and also to get out to Lake Titicaca. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is located at the lowest point of La Paz, the southern district (zona sur), by staying at this hotel your choices of getting altitude sickness is less. Also, this area of town has a nice weather, usually over 5 to 10 degrees (celcius) more than La Paz down town. The southern distrcit is also home of very popular restaurants, inernationally

Large family trip

The staff was outstanding, friendly and very attentive to our needs. This was a family trip and had an 18 month old in our party, for which the family suite was perfect.They accommodated all our needs: the rooms are spacious, with a great view of the southern part of La Paz, shopping and great restaurants nearby, radio taxi available at the front desk for a small fee to take you to different parts of town. Make sure to try the delicious breakfast and the meal offerings of the Tranquera restaurant. The menu is varied to meet all palates, vegetarian, food allergies, and also they have excellent Bolivian dishes, a great salad bar, and desserts. Highly recommend it. Will visit again on next trip.

Made the reservation though Expedia and asked for an airport transfer. The hotel never responded though the Expedia messaging system but did answer my phone call and were very communicative through WhatsApp.

The hotel is in a good location, the rooms are very large with loads of closet space. My room had a great view of the mountains!

This is an older hotel, so the AC was a bit louder than it would have been had the equipment been new. I thought about asking them to look into it but didn't. One of the lights didn't work, and one of the electrical outlets didn't work. The bed was comfortable but the linens a lower thread count than one might expect in a 5 star.

My Spanish is terrible. Although it was much easier to communicate though WhatsApp, all my phone inquiries were resolved as desired. In person interactions also went fine, but English is not spoken by much of the staff.

The pool and jacuzzi were the same temperature, about 85°, not nearly as warm as I would like for a hot tub. I had a wonderful Tibetan Massage in the spa. The exercise room was spacious, clean, and will equipped with free weights and machines.

The restaurant has well deserved great reviews with a few vegetarian and vegan options clearly indicated on the menu. It is open from about 7am until late in the evening and a robust buffet breakfast is included with the room.

I'd happily stay again.

Great, quiet stay

Quiet and relaxing, you'll enjoy the location, which is just a 5-min walk from the Green Teleferico line (last stop).
Great and attentive staff. Worth it if you upgrade to the Royal Suite. Note that this isn't a high commercial area, so hardly any restaurants or markets, but if you like tranquility, this is the place.

Nice location for business o tourism

The hotel was surprisingly good for Cochabamba. There are small details that many hotels don’t pay attention and this location has done a great job in doing: USB chargers by the bed, a clean electric keetle, good variety of teas, a well equipped gym, heated pool, well kept steam room and an excellent steak restaurant with affordable wines. Definitely staying again on my next business trip.

Great Business Hotel!

The hotel is located in a really easy going place in La Paz, with access to multiple restaurants and easy access by taxi or by telepheric (very cool) to the center of the city and many other places within La Paz.
The restaurant is great, the service overall is business class and rooms are great and amazing size. For me the only thing that can improve is the WiFi connectivity.

Terrible rooms

As we reached the hotel and got our room, a terrible smell welcomed us and we asked to move to another room. we've searched for a better rom but all the rooms had a very bad smell, so we checked out.
needless to say that we didn't stay more than 3 hours at the hotel, according to the hotel policy, if you cancel your booking you'l be charged only for the first night. However, the hotel refused to refund the rest of our money which we paid (for 3 nights!!!).

Great HUMAN KINDNESS!

The hotel is located in a very nice and safe area of La Paz. The employees were extremely courteous and helpful. The restaurant was great. The taxi drivers, specially Jaime were very polite and helpful. The most remarkable part of my trip was the kindness of Katty Oblitas and her staff. During my trip I got ill and felt terrible, Katty and her team made sure I was fine, ordered me the right thing to eat, sent me warm tea to my room, and checked on me regularly. I have never been sick during a trip but I am glad it happened here because the personalize service made a huge difference.

Fourth or fifth time staying here. Not the best hotel in town, but likely a close second or third. Staff is by far the best!

Very nice family suite!

We stayed at the family suite, which contains two bedrooms. One is with a big bed, the other is with two beds. And each bedroom has a dedicated bathroom. Moreover, there is a living room between the two bedrooms, containing a six-people table and two sofas, which is quite spacious! The facilities are quite new and the location environment is nice and safe. We checked in very early, 4 am in the morning. The staff were very helpful. In general, we really enjoyed the stay.

This hotel is very nice, probably the best in all of La Paz but it is 20 mins from tourist attractions and 45 from the airport (without traffic). Taxis are very affordable and always waiting out front. This is clearly a hotel in the best part of town for business travelers. We were very out of place backpacking in from Machu Picchu.

One of the best apartments anywhere!

The family suite apartment is one of the best available anywhere. Spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. The beds(1 king and 2 double in the second room) are extremely comfortable and perfectly appointed. The kitchen is very well equipped.
We received a welcome drink and had a lovely experience in the bar. We also eat at the restaurant and the food was exactly what we wanted. There is a soup, salad and desert bar with most mains are the mains are reasonably priced.
On both occasions we stayed at Camino Real we received a packed breakfast as we were leaving before breakfast started. We wished we could have spent more time here, as said earlier there are few holiday apartments as well appointed and services at Camino Real.

Food poisoning spoilt an otherwise pleasant visit

The Hotel is ok to be fair you probably won't get much better in la Paz.
No turndown service - though we don't care.
Internet access using Ethernet was excellent but not great on wifi.
Restaurant: grilled steaks and general food was excellent as was the service. Only problem is that my daughter got food poisoning from the fruit salad at breakfast as we left. She was immobilised for the rest of the day.

My experience was excellent, the staff is so kind and help us in everything. The hotel was comfortable and clean and close to everything, the price was excellent too.
