I’m so happy they are building new hotels in the area … this just might be the last time I stay here the hotel has become so run down , dirty , unclean and the fact that the pool is open to the public … not cool … always running out of breakfast and takes them 20-30 minutes to restock … don’t get meat after on the elevator always shutting down mid lift.

Staff seemed stern at first but once we started chatting she was very courteous and helpful.
The breakfast was fantastic, great omlettes and a variety of guyanese foods.
The hotel is a bit older and could use some freshening up. Did not like the glass bathroom walls. The water in tap was sometimes rusty. I feel the area outside hotel does not have enough shady trees and could be cleaner. Girls at reception were very friendly and helpful. All in all we had a lovely stay. Thank you.

The black female staff at the bar who collects money is rude af. Had me waiting 15mins to just pay my bill looked at me while she ignored me in my face. The hotel had no entertainment on Christmas Day dead vibes $2100 for 3 cans of coke, breakfast is made with no love and would not give it to my dog, the room is out dated and In serious need for a renovations shower leaked in to the middle of room the mirror had black specks decor was old the hallways felt like u was in a horror movie dark and low lighting as well as the lights in the suite the bulbs seem to be in one side of my suite and not the other. The toilet roll holder was coming off the wall. The rest of the staff except the one who was at the kitchen till was ok but it’s a no for me the $230usd a night is ridiculously priced and the gym all the equipment is was damaged the running machine all the belts was torn so u will trip and most likely trip and fall down very hazardous. And the hotel offer no entertainment unless u pay 25,000.00 gyd for a new years something that was not explained in detailed in the invite letter I think they are exploiting guest and prices are randomly extortionate. Do not waste your time paying these high prices for absolutely nothing and public can come through the hotel and use there amenities for a fee. This hotel is all about money and not putting in satisfactory services for guest I would rate this a 2/5 as it is that bad.

Dimly lit hallways are a bit too low give off spooky vibes. It’s clean. It gets very noisy in the morning when housekeeping comes around. Tried to sleep in on a holiday but that morning a different housekeeping employee came by and disregarded the do not disturb sign. Get an international number or at least answer reservation emails. Towels are hard/harsh. Book a ride is atrociously expensive, local taxis are triple less cheaper.

First room had cockroaches. Moved to another room. Still had cockroaches. AC unit was leaking so we put an ice bucket there to catch the drips. Notable: laptop wifi/password is totally different than phone wifi. I had work and it would have been nice to be informed of this when given the cell phone wifi info. Seemed to be plenty staff that worked there but they either just stand around and stare at you or look like the grumpiest people ever servicing you. Never how I would have my business run. The pool was the highlight. Was large and clean. Only open 10-6, my kids wanted in there as often as possible. If you want OK then this will be OK.

The shower head is not fully functional. Appears it popped sometime back and the water is flowing to one side. Uncomfortable to shower. The furniture on the balcony is very dirty as well. We would not use the balcony although it's a great view of the bridge. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful though :)

The soap from the previous guest was left in the shower, my room was not fully cleaned from the previous guest, from the start we were given trouble to check in, even though we had the printed reservation and the Expedia email! Was told I was wrong or Expedia made the mistake and told to call Expedia. TVs did not work. I was charged more for the room than my booking, I can go on and on… I will not be back, travelled overseas for a stressful stay.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. I booked a room to spend the night with my daughter for her 7th birthday, and the condition of the room was unacceptable.

Upon entering, there was an empty condom wrapper on the floor, which was extremely inappropriate, especially with a child present. The bathroom had a strong unpleasant odor, and the shower did not work properly.

The restaurant service was also poor. The waitress took a very long time with our order, and when the food finally arrived, no forks were provided. We had to ask for basic utensils after the meal was already served.

This stay ruined what was meant to be a special birthday night. Cleanliness, service, and basic hospitality were clearly lacking. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families.

First night there girlfriend received bites on legs. Showed the management team in the morning and they did switch our room with a minor upgrade also. The 2nd or 3rd morning was able to talk with the management team and again showed them the bites. They forst stated were from Mosquito (which was not possible) and then asked what we would like. They did a free of charge for one night which i told them was the LEAST that they could do. They did just that. THE ABSOLUTE LEAST that I asked for. No further compensation of the stay, no added compensation, nothing.

Rooms and entire facility was dirty and broken! Bathroom in my room was disgusting, had stuff on the floor that stayed throughout my stay. My stay at this hotel was okay overall, but it could have been better. The location was convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, I noticed that the bedding area wasn’t as clean as I expected,the sheets and surrounding area could have used a more thorough cleaning. It wasn’t terrible, but the lack of cleanliness did make the experience less comfortable. With a bit more attention to housekeeping, this could be a much nicer place to stay.

There was no warm water at all during my entire stay. I left my phone charger in the room and it was never given back to me despite I had a family member go report it right away she got the run around for 24 hours, and still we didn’t get the charger back. Phones didn’t work my dad changed room because air conditioning system was broken and he slept in the heat the 1st night. Bathroom sink was not cleaned or toilet all they did was change the sheets, which I told them about. I think we need a huge discount for the service that we acquired during our stay. Staff was not friendly except for maybe one girl at the restaurant and the one security guard. Never again will I stay there nor will I have my family members stay there.

Staff were rude and impertinent, never said hello and never answered you when spoken to. Mainly in the restaurant and in the casino. They all had an attitude on them and I didn’t feel comfortable asking them for anything. Some customers got spoken to better than us, I’m guessing it’s a black vs Indian problem. As the hotel and casino employ 95% black people, Indians are a minority there and was clearly visible to outsiders. The hotel was okay, we were put on the 4th floor and renovations were taking place in the last week of our stay. The corridor was like a furnace, messy and full of workmen, very unacceptable to paying guests. Yet nothing was done about it. Not sure if I will ever use this hotel again, I used this hotel in 2017 and it was a different scene then, way more Indian people working there and way more friendliness, it was a bit of a let down this time. I’m thinking of using the Marriott next time I visit Guyana.

The reception staff had a very bad attitude while my group checked in. There were a few issues that could have been addressed easily but the staff were reluctant to help. The staff retaliated towards the person that had the check in issue that was out of their control by putting them in the worst possible room in the hotel. The showerhead was disgusting and moldy, the chairs were dark-stained and old, the water kettle was rusty. Overall, the experience was horrible. Housekeeping, on the other hand, was very kind and helpful.

Where do I even start? I’ve been in run down motels that have better service than this place.

After unpacking in my first room and loading up the refrigerator, I left the hotel for pretty much the entire day. Upon returning, I went to get ice for a drink. The cups in the room were dirty, and there was debris stuck to the side, and the ice bucket was also a bit filthy. No problem, right? A simple rinse should take care of that, and a bag in the ice bucket.

When I got back from the ice machine, I find my door open. Turns out my door wasn’t locked at all. The door doesn’t latch properly, and could’ve been pushed open at any time. By this time, I finally take a good look around my room, and it was so disappointing, the furniture was stained, the shower, and bathroom was growing mold, under the toilet seat was stained brown/orange, and there was even hair from a previous tenant still lining the toilet seat. To top it all off, the refrigerator was broken. Nothing I placed in there before was even remotely cool.

Next logical step, call the receptionist right? Phone in the room is an old phone from the Hardrock in Vegas that they couldn’t bother to rebrand or even cover the sticker of, and they’d neglected to leave the power adapter for the phone in the room so I couldn’t even call the front desk. When I got to the lobby, and told them about the issues, they sent a guy to try fix everything… mind you, it’s about 11:30PM at this point. After a while, the guy comes to check things

This was my 3rd time staying at the princess. This time my room was nice size with views of the new Demerara Bridge.(Beautiful) the cleaness of the room was poor, with stains and broken sink and shower door water spills out onto the floor, the gym equipments were very old and most out of order. Breakfast had healthy and local options.

Service was not up to standards. I had to change multiple rooms because the AC wasn’t working, issue with the transparent shower (females can’t shower if males are inside the room, females needs accommodations for this shower).

The food was very low expectations. All the meats and fish are boneless - very cheap way of trying to basically “rob” customers of proper food service.

Then there’s multiple staff calling and knocking on the door to ask 1) if I’m checking out 2) what time I’m checking out. I’m fully aware of the check in and check out time. What is the staff issue in harassing patrons about the check out time. There’s a big sign on top of the check in counter that shows check in 3pm and check out 12 noon. If cleaning staff wants to clean all the rooms earlier than need be, upper management needs to change the check out time.

My stay at Ramada Hotel Guyana was deeply disappointing and far below expected standards. Upon arrival, the room was in an unhygienic and neglected condition. There was a dead cockroach on the floor, the air conditioning unit leaked water continuously, and the bathroom was poorly maintained — the toilet had visible stains, and water leaked from the shower area, which eventually flooded the room and closet space.

In addition, the mirrors were stained, and overall cleanliness was severely lacking. When these issues were reported, the staff was dismissive, unprofessional, and unhelpful, showing little regard for guest comfort or hotel standards.

For a hotel operating under the Ramada brand, this experience was unacceptable. The property requires immediate attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and staff training to meet even basic hospitality expectations.

This hotel needs updating for the money the charge per night the need to do a better job cleaning also, please for goodness sake change the bed skirts and sweep / mop under the bed and behind the doors. I stayed there 4 times since 2022 and my last month visit will be my last. I am going to find another hotel to stay at going forward.

We stayed at Ramada for 10 nights during CPL, the service is extremely poor, the free buffet breakfast is the same kind of food every morning, nothing special. The room is big, bed is comfortable, AC is great but the bathroom and toilet need some fixing. The housekeeper on the 5th floor is sloppy, can't clean the room probably. This is our 4th year staying at the hotel during CPL and this year the standard is the worst.

The management of this hotel needs to be fired. While it is an older property, a proper cleaning will solve a multitude of ills. Everything worked, at no tume was any area not in service but there is no attention being paid to the labour intensive operations. The very young and inexperienced staff received no training or guidance and were overwhelmed. Despite these circumstances, the staff were mostly pleasant.
The food was not at all badly priced nor was it bad tasting. Location is ideal for events at Provodence Stadium.

I am surprised at how rundown the property is. Room I was checked in yo had no trading lamps and was not prepared for occupancy. After complaining I was moved to another room and the next morning discovered to my dismay that there was no hot water and the safe was not functioning. They came to fix it but the situation did not improve. I had to be moved to a third room before I had a room that was actually prepped to receive a guest. If I hadn't been checking out the next day I don't think I would have been moved, because apparently the room was being made available for an incoming guest...
