The first room we stayed in was very dirty and had a dead cockroach and was noisy. So we asked to change.

The second room was a little better, but still, I believe that the entire hotel is a little old and so everything gets moldy no matter how much they clean it.

The outdoor area is nice, with a sauna, pool, jacuzzi, etc.

The staff are friendly. Good location, close of restaurants/groceries and the beach.

We didn't eat at the hotel and there is no room service.

The rooms need cleaning/rebuilding, for example the corners of the bathroom, all black from not cleaning and mold. The air conditioning units hadn't been serviced for years, everything was black and dirty.

The bed was comfortable, the pillows not so much, the sheets and towels clean and comfortable.

Hôtel Le Lagoon is located in a very convenient position close to shops, restaurants and the beach. It is clean and well presented. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The only issue we had was that the ´buffet breakfast’ we had paid for in our package was somewhat disappointing. Having stayed in various hotels in noumea ´buffet breakfast’ always includes a variety of hot options. It would be better that Hotel Lagoon offers similar or perhaps provide a more transparent description of their breakfast so that people are aware. Other than that it is a lovely hotel and staff are wonderful.

Unfortunately our stay at this hotel was during the New Caledonia civil riots. In the circumstances, the management and staff did their very best to keep us safe and provided what little food was available for the breakfasts, which were paid in advance. The room, 1 bedroom suite, was comfortable although the decor was tired. Some refurbishment is overdue.

Hotel Le Lagon's spaces were smaller (for family of 4), but functional and had a much nicer feel than some of the nearby bigger hotels. Rooms were well appointed, the kitchenette was especially useful, and the pool area was compact but well laid out. Staff were helpful and language wasnt a problem. Great location, quiet, but convenience stores and food options right nearby.

Le Lagon is an excellent value hotel. Our room had water views. Gym facilities are bit dated but useable. Pool is a bit small but heated so nice to relax after a long day. Spa and Sauna were great. Restaurant only open for breakfast but there are lots kf options nearby. Hotel has bicycle to hire but I found price is a bit high for half day or full day and bikes need to be returned by 6pm.

部屋、プールは狭かったです。

また、部屋内のシャワーの水圧とお湯の温度は最高でした。

朝食はバイキングと聞いていたが、実際は卵料理とベーコン等は注文するスタイルで、スタッフさんがあまり英語が得意ではないので、注文したものと違ったものが出てきてしまい、残念でした。
値段には見合わないない朝食でした。

While the area itself was pleasant, my overall experience left much to be desired. The hotel's shortcomings, particularly regarding the buffet breakfast and customer service, greatly impacted my stay.
I found it to be lacking in quality and variety. The options provided were not up to par, and it left me feeling disappointed. Considering the price of the stay, I expected a more satisfying dining experience. I was extremely disappointed when I discovered that a glass of almond/soy milk – priced at a staggering 600 Pacific Francs (approximately 8 AUD) – was required because of my milk allergy. To put this into perspective, a carton of the same milk can be purchased at a local shop for just 420 francs. Furthermore, one incident involving a staff member stood out to me. While attempting to make myself a cup of coffee, I encountered a rude and physically aggressive staff member. The language barrier may have caused this accident. Unfortunately, most of the staff members did not speak or understand English. This made it difficult for me to communicate and address any concerns I had during my stay.
Another problem was with the room assignment. We specifically booked a quiet room, as stated on both the hotel's website and on Expedia. However, upon arrival, we were givena room on the third floor, right above the jacuzzi area. This turned out to be a noisy and always crowded area, which was not what we had expected or desired.

The only negative for us was the fact that the street in front of the hotel was completely torn up and under construction making it too noisy to enjoy the balcony and difficult to access in our rental car. The neibourhood is very nice with an excellent choice of restaurants a short walk away, and a lovely beach promenade - unfortunately the beach walkway and the adjacent road were also construction zones with many parts blocks off!

I was in a garden room. It was lovely, spacious and had a great balcony where I had my morning coffee and pain au chocolat and listened to a chorus of birdsong. The local bakery was a two minute walk from Le Lagon. Hotel staff were wonderfully kind and helpful at all times.

We had a nice two night stay here. Room was clean and tidy and location is good, a walk to restaurants in the nearby (3 minute walk) Hilton complex, or around past the Aquarium there is a strip of restaurants (about 20 minute walk). Also a small market about 2 minute walk.

Lovely staff, but overpriced

We chose this hotel due to its proximity to both town and Anse Vata beach as we wanted to be able to explore both areas. Our room was smaller than expected and our balcony mostly unuseable as Anse Vata Road is very busy all day and night. The pool area is cute but tiny compared to the online pictures. Our Wifi never worked properly for our entire 5 day visit and the staff while dutifully taking notes about our issues were never able to fix it. Amusingly, our wifi at Le Meridien Ile des Pins was seamless - so clearly Le Lagon needs to find a different provider. The hotel is an easy walk to the beach and several little restaurants and shops. The weather was not great for our stay so we were unable to visit all the islands in the lagoon which was disappointing, its not an easy place to be when the weather is bad as there is not much to do inside in Noumea. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly and while small the facility is well kept. We did not eat in the on site restaurant and preferred to eat at local cafes. In my opinion this hotel is a bit overpriced for what you get - no water views, tiny rooms, small pool complex etc., non existent wifi - overall we would probably not choose to stay here again.

Close to the wonderful beach at Anse Vata and a hop skip and a jump to Isle de Canard on the water taxi. Small, very friendly Hotel among huge multi nationals, it is a real gem, boutique and chic! Great shops within a short walk, lots of diverse eating places and super cool vibe.

We enjoyed our stay at Le Lagon and were very happy with the staff, the service and the hotel location. Unfortunately Noumea itself did not live up to our expectations and is well below standards we are accustomed to. Prices extremely high, most restaurant quality very low apart from Le Roof & Lemon Bay which were superb, but not cheap. Graffiti & tardy shops in town and obvious poverty amidst a lot of wealth, spoil a beautiful spot in the pacific. Similar feelings from most other tourists we spoke to.

Hotel was great! Studio room was very comfortable, clean, modern and spacious with kitchen amenities. Breakfast was very good. Hired bikes for an hour which was a fun way to sight see around the next beach. Absolutely brilliant burger joint and bakery a few doors up from hotel. Outstanding cakes and bread - best fish burger and Caesar salad at burger joint!!! Amazing - a must visit.

Really well priced hotel for Ansa Vata and it's in a really good location too, only a 2 minute walk to the beach and 100 meters down the road from the best bakery I could find in Noumea. As someone who cant speak french the staff were really helpful answering questions, explaining things and giving general advice. Rooms and facilities were clean and fairly modern.

The only thing that let this place down was our room was only allocated 250mb of wifi data per day or you had to pay for more. Keep that in mind if you're a heavy internet user.

Other than that i highly recommend this hotel. Cheers

Great hotel close to shops, beach and cafe's. We really enjoyed staying at Hotel Le Lagon. Friendly helpful staff which made the stay enjoyable. The loungers by the pool are great for relaxing and reading a good book by the pool.
The hotel is in walking distance to most things we wanted to do. I would
stay here again.
