Thw room was spacious and clean however the condition of the room itself could be hugely improved so there aren't paint chips, stains, etc everywhere. The bathroom was also really old and dilapidated.

The hotel was clean and the room was nice and big. It had a toaster and kettle which we appreciated. It was in a great location and you could walk to restaurants and shopping. The bed and sheets were nice and comfortable. The only complaint was that it was old and a little rundown but it was good value for your money.

The accommodation is clearly dated and in need of a refurbishment, toilet was patched up, curtains very dated, the mattress was a clear issue for us as it was very worn out and we had to reduce our stay due to back issues. They were nice enough and gave us a reduced refund as a result; the place was clean enough and very close to a lovely cafe - Albert &Co where we had brekkie and lunch most days.

The room was very spacious and clean. The quality of the vanity and cabinets were ok. What was really annoying was that the kettle was too tall to fill up from the sink, it really was a struggle. On the plus side, the motel is very well located on the foreshores and a only a short walk to the restaurants and shops. All in all, pretty good.

Heyfield has all you need for a motel stay - good parking, comfortable bed, bedside lamp, small table and chairs. The room is large and spacious (as is the bathroom) and it's on the main Esplanade and close to all Lakes Entrance has to offer.
There was a problem with the fridge with temperature control as it was set too high (presumably for the freezer component to work) but that meant the complimentary milk was frozen and unusable for tea/coffee.
I did like the provision of a door wedge for added security. I wish other motels had these as it certainly felt a bit safer for a solo traveller.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment, which was nicely located at the rear, with parking right in front of it. The beds were comfy, and the housekeeping standards were great. The carpets were showing their age though, and the kitchen has a limited number of pots/knives etc. There is a tiny 2 burner oven combo, and microwave etc, so you can self cater in smaller quantities, but there is a bbq right outside.

This property was in transition. It had been recently sold. Mandy was the manager and did her utmost best to keep the place running with no support from the old owners. She worked so hard with little or no help. The new owners are keen to renovate and upgrade the property. Simon will be the new manager, a very personable young man and will be taking care of things for his family who now own Heyfields. The location is great as you can walk to everything. Parking is on site and included in the price. Although advertised as having laundry facilities that was not the case as the laundry was only for the linen for the motel. The one bedroom apartment unit is spacious but limited cooking facilities. However, we managed. Lakes Entrance is a great place to stay and we met some very nice people at the Motel. Thank you Mandy for all you did for us and good luck for your future and good luck to Simon as well.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming which was very nice after a long drive. The building is a little tired and run down but the apartment we had was very clean and had plenty of space. The little extra touches like arriving to a warm apartment (management had turned out heating on) and having electric blankets on the beds made the stay all that more enjoyable.
