The room was prepaid at a rate of $150. However, when I arrived, the clerk charged my card an additional $170, saying the room had not been paid for and that they needed to check my card details.

I explained that the booking had already been prepaid, but the charge was still processed. I returned to the desk to resolve the issue and was told the payment would be refunded, but it could take up to seven days.

What was most disappointing was that there was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. The situation was handled quite poorly and left a bad impression.

Everything was good, had an amazing view however my bed moved around a lot and the zipper that kept them together was broken. If it wasn’t for that I would have been content.

Not the experience we thought it would be. In a nutshell, cleanliness was the biggest issue. Our room seemed clean to start then realised surfaces hadn’t been wiped down and the coffee table still had the remains of sticky drinks.. this seemed to extend to the bar area too - litter and glasses left for ages then tables not wiped.
On the last day. Our bed was made, new towels thrown in but old ones not taken, cups not clean.. there was an ice cream tub left in the lift area and was still there as we left after 2 days.. one of the lifts had a drinks spill in it, this was there the full 4 days we were.
Pool area which looks amazing in the photos had limited beds, no space when busy.
All very disappointing and wouldn’t stay again.

Great location right next to free tram stop, rooftop pool and spa are beautiful, nice and clean with great view and cabanas with food/drinks ordering. The only thing is it’s super windy in Docklands and especially roof top.

Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Room is nice but housekeeping is below average. Buffet Breakfast has smaller variety but restaurant staff are nice and responsive.

Need more towel in the room, no spoons or fork. Blankets were abit itchy to use. The rooms didnt smell as clean as i expected but overall, the service pool, spa and sky lounge access recommended to try.

The rooms were very basic, the beds quite uncomfortable. Definitely not full ‘Queen’ size. Even though we booked two rooms in a single booking, they didn’t mark our rooms together and we kept having to go back and forth. Had to ask them to clear someone else’s room service tray from the hallway after 2 days. Good location, just really underwhelming.

AC in the room was horrible. I had to call 3times regarding it, each time being told to wait 15mins for the room to cool which I had. I was then room moved from King bed room to two Queen bed rooms. I was assured the AC in this room was working. I had the temperature set to 18degrees, I should have been freezing. It eventually did feel slightly cooler but it never was cold. I did mention this to reception after I was moved but I did not want to move again. I’m not sure if it was the AC in that whole hotel as the lobby didn’t feel cool either. Check in, was horrible she asked for my debit card I asked what she needed it for but I didn’t get much of a response. I wasn’t informed of the facilities in the hotel or that there was WIFI. She just seemed to want to be over and done with it. The girl that room moved me was lovely and very helpful.

I did like that there were shops close by and the tram stop which is part of free city loop making it easier to get around.

This was a last minute booking due to airport cancellations. Relied on the reviews of other guests which were very positive. Arrived and check in easily. Rooms very spacious and well appointed. Nice and quiet. Some food options also nearby. Would definitely recommend.

The bathroom was a bit dirty. The buffet breakfast was terrible. We went down at 9.30 am and there was no food left and they didn’t restock. We were left eating the scrapings out of the fruit and yoghurt bowls.

I had a really pleasant stay overall. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the early check-in and late checkout at no extra cost was a great bonus. The room was very clean, with good amenities and a comfortable bed, and the coffee was excellent.

The location is great if you’re staying in New Quay for a reason. It’s quiet (almost too quiet at times) and a little out of the city, but perfect if you’re looking to just relax. Room service and the buffet breakfast were basic and below average, but for the price and location the stay was decent so I’d be happy to stay again.

Great area! Access to public transport on your doorstep, very safe area, loads of shops and activities, especially for kids. The staff were very helpful and polite.
I noticed that that cupboards and draws were quit dirty and dusty needing a really good wipe. Marks on walls and cupboards would love some Jiff.
Pool and spa on roof with view.
Aside from small fixes, great value for money.

After paying over $500.00 for the night (agree it was new years eve) but room was not clean and we were missing a kettle which took numerous calls to house keeping and eventually after 5 hours a trip to reception and managerial intervention. Whilst waiting for said kettle we went to the bar for coffee, waited over 5 minutes but no barman so walked out to a nearby spot. Breakfast in the morning was total chaos with long queues waiting up to 20 minutes plus. This was our worst experience in many years and we are frequent hotels.com users.

Checked in for two nights.
Entering the bathroom, straight away the cleanliness was sub-standard. Long hairs in the shower and badly discolored grout. Hair on face washers and in the sink. Corners of the sink were poorly cleaned too.

Only one bath towel in the room.

I called up and spoke to someone to ask for an extra towel and told them the bathroom was not clean. They said they would send someone up. After an hour no one had come so my wife and I got dressed and went out for dinner and spoke to someone at the front desk.

They sent someone to clean the room, but still left just one towel!

The following day when they cleaned the room, they finally gave us a second towel!

Disappointed with the Beef Stroganoff, meat was chewy and sauce was a stock, not creamy as I expected. Drinking Glases were removed from room and I had to request the only teaspoon be replaced. One day my room wasn't serviced at all.

Was a good location but no underground parking for your car which is abit worrying to park your car or rental in the parking space across the road (a fair bit of a walk) and on top of that pay for parking which I believe should be waived by the hotel. Overall a good hotel, clean, nice restaurant excellent staff there go above and beyond. The girls at the front reception I feel at times didn’t want to help but overall wasn’t too bad

We had a good stay, was very convenient to what we had on in the city.Parking was $32 at the district west carpark overnight.It was a 2min walk to the hotel.
Was a very safe quiet area.
District Docklands shopping centre was right across the rd.Very convenient.
We had a corner king room, bed was comfortable, our room was very hot on the 14th floor, we couldnt work out the climate control,so just turned it off.
Overall our stay was fine
Was great to also have a bath to soak in.

Staff were wonderful, very personable, genuine & positive.
Room was a bit dated, stuffy though.
Room service food was very disappointing & quite awful though. For the prices ($35-50 for mains) the room service chicken was white pale, tasteless & inedible. The breakfast at $25 p/p was appalling, very few options, not well cooked & really disappointing. We ordered Uber eats the 2nd night.
Don’t think we’d go back.

First room we were allocated was extremely noisy due to a malfunctioning aircon.

The staff were responsive and moved us to a different room on a higher floor - this time with a working aircon.

Both rooms however were wheelchair accessible rooms which would be fine if not for the teeny tiny sink in the bathroom and no counter space.

Generally, the walls were quite thin and all night we could hear noises from corridor and nearby room (baby crying).

The pool was a highlight of our trip, being Melbourne was so nice to be heated all the time to a temp the kids loved!
Unfortunately our room was not cleaned for 3 days although being out all day. We went during F1 so pricing was very high (as was everywhere). The location is quiet but tram is quick back to city!
Very helpful in returning items we left behind back to us.

It was a nice hotel near the stadium with views of the water. Room was nice and had all the amenities you need. Great shower and a fridge for drinks. View lovely. Breakfast was included and it was ok. Extras included was a nice touch. Wine, drinks snacks and parking.
