I stay at this hotel often, but this visit fell a little short of the usual standard. The check‑in staff felt quite brisk and dismissive, even though it wasn’t busy at the time. A few things in the room were also below the standard I’m used to here, such as missing amenities and a TV that wasn’t working properly. It wasn’t a bad stay overall, just a noticeable step down from my previous experiences.

Excellent hotel close to public transport, Docklands, South Wharf and South Bank. Wonderful large corner room with extra coffee facilities. Staff are friendly and courteous. Only problem that I have occurred is that some booking sights offer a free bottle of wine and on a couple of occasions the hotel has run out. Need to ensure that they have more supplies on hand as this is one of the reasons that some people may use to book.

The lights that light up the name of the hotel could do with some bulb replacement- most did not work so the name was not visible always

Room was exactly as the photos and description promised. Everything clean and fresh. Staff member was lovely and helpful at check-in.
Bathroom was clean but a bit old - some stains around shower and sink and a crack in the sink. No big deal though. Location super handy for trains, trams, city and felt safe.

The room was clean and the staff friendly. Unfortunately there were missing patches of carpet, completely worn through.... I've stayed here a few times and didn't encounter this before. The air conditioning worked intermittently. I'll stay again but this stay wasn't 5 star worthy.

The staff were friendly and engaging, and the rooms are quite nice. Unfortunately the beds are not the most comfortable, some of the rooms have really uncomfortable mattresses. I have stayed 5 times or so, the first few times the beds were great, I suspect some of the mattresses need replacing, to the point where I may have to look for an alternative place to stay in the future.

Our party stayed here after attending a concert. Consequently check in was an extremely lengthy process with the queue being over an hour’s wait.

Check out wasn’t without its hiccups with the fire alarm sounding, and no directions given to us to ensure a safe exit.

Other than that, a comfortable stay.

Bathroom had mold all through the shower and all over the soap dispensers.
Dont expect to sleep if you book here. Our room had a constant beeping all night. When I told the receptionist the next morning she knew about it already, saying it was a flat battery in the safe. They knew about the issue and let us pay $250 to stay the night in a room where we could not sleep.

My room had a massive crack in the shower base and the finish was peeling off everywhere. There was also mould in th corners. The legs of the desk in the room were angled and it looked like that with some pressure the desk would collapse and the same with the desk chair. The cushions ns on the sofa(bed) had nothing left in them so when you sat on it, you could feel the springs. The staff checked me into a new room on the same floor, but this had single beds, so they checked me into a queen room on a different floor. Meanwhile they gave my first room to someone else and nothing had been done about the shower at all. I felt bad letting the staff know, and they were very apologetic and helpful, however, they had no problems reissuing my old room to another person. That shouldn't happen in a 4 star hotel.

We had a triple bed room, the beds were very hard, especially the middle one which also creaked badly whenever the person moved. There was only one pillow for each bed, no spares to choose from for different softness. One of the pillows was very hard and high which for me was unsuitable.
On arrival we were told to ask for our VIP bonus, the staff didn’t know what that was and so there was no bonus.

The room was great. Location was perfect-right near a major train station making it easy to get around. A bottle of wine when I checked in! Room had a microwave and mini fridge which was great. The room was spacious. Only thing is I wish they would have cleaned more when they came in: I would find toothpaste still in my sink and soap residue on the shower-I know it is my mess so I didn't complain but if someone was coming in and making my bed, I kind of expected them to wipe down the sink. The staff was also friendly.

Room in poor shape. Was a zipped king and there was no mattress protector meaning sleeping anywhere in the middle of the bed meant the zipper digging in.
Stains on mattress, table was leaning and damaged. Bar fridge froze anything placed inside.

The hotel was adequate enough: the rooms were clean and comfortable, but nothing special. Staff were friendly, but the small foyer area was not inviting and not really adequate for meeting with friends/colleagues.There was no food service within the hotel, apart from breakfast, which was pretty unimpressive and I did not feel provided value for money. While close to more lively areas of Docklands, the immediate surroundings of the hotel (tucked in between office blocks and parking stations) are a bit dead, especially on weekends, and the options for eating out close by are limited (unless you are Ok with the offerings in Southern Cross station). Access to the hotel is not quite as convenient as it looks on the map, due to the way the streets run, and if you are coming from public transport (railway station or by tram) with luggage, you need to find the lifts to get down to the hotel, as its street is at a lower level than the main access routes.

Good location. Looks a bit shabby and not impressed at extra $50 for bedding for a pull out sofa bed when booking a room for 3!!! The other issue were the signs saying if you used the microwave or hairdryer you could get a $1500 charge if the smoke alarm went off. We would not choose to stay here again.

We regularly use this hotel because of its location next to the station and have never been disappointed until now. Unfortunately, this was not the case during our last stay. The carpet in our room had holes in several places, one of the bedside tables was in poor condition, the sink was cracked and everything looked worn out, in the tissue box we had a neatly folded tissue that covered an empty box… hardly worthy of a room costing $203/night.

Ratty carpet - room 1321 has no carpet left infront of the mini bar. Curtains are yellowed from age.

The worst part is, when we got back to the hotel (two single beds) after a concert at Marvel, I hopped into bed around midnight only for the whole bed to tip backwards. It turns out the bed was missing a leg!! Upon advising staff this morning on check out I told the staff who provided a nonchalant “I’ll advise our maintenance team”

Average service at best, terrible hotel that desperately needs attention. Only positive was the 5 min walk back from the stadium. Absolutely not worth the $400/night that we paid.

This is a good 3 star hotel that provide the basics. One pillow each. Only 2 earl grey and 2 green tea bags. 2 milk pods, had to ask for more. Room was clean. We had a corner room, but one window only looked at the offices next door so had to keep curtain closed. Parking is connected to hotel. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The room was nice and big, and the service was good. The only downside was the condition, things were a little broken and worn. For example the hair dryer was broken, and there was a missing small veneer on the bedside table (exposing the chip board underneath). There was a fold out sofa bed, which looked a bit worn, but it was convenient to have it for laying out outfits. The bed was really nice and big, so did not fold out and try the sofa bed as a bed.
