The bed sheets had a cigarette hole and did not appear to be clean. The walls were dirty. The room was not cleaned during the time I was there and I only found out at the end of my stay that for security reasons, they only clean rooms when a guest is in the room. In any case, the room was dirty at check-in.

Never Again!!

Horrible check in experience! Even though I booked and paid online, the receptionist asked me to pay at the property. I had to wait for his manager who only shows up at the hotel at 10 PM, to check on this issue and later tells me payment was already made online. Wasted so much of my time on this. And I don’t even want to begin with the cleanliness of the rooms, there were cockroaches all over and also the rooms had a very weird smell.

The Hotel is in a very bad part of town. The Desk staff were very friendly and polite. There were NO SMOKING signs all over the Hotel, but some of the other staff were smoking as well as the guest. The Night Clubs are very loud, you can not sit in any of them and enjoy the atmosphere. There is NO restaurant in the Hotel so you have to use room service. overall I would not return to this Hotel. 1 STAR

Old hotel in scetchy neighborhood. It smelled like smoke throughout even though there were no smoking signs. ALL the bars and restaurants sucked! Music was played way too loud in clubs! Will stay in Juffair next time.

The Baisan was quite disappointing all the way around. It’s an older hotel, for one, and definitely needs a face lift, but mostly we were disappointed in the service.

We asked for a non-smoking room and were given a smoking room. We were told that once the air conditioning kicked in, the smoke smell would go away. Not!! There was an ashtray in that room, which would encourage smoking, and there was also an ashtray in the room we finally agreed upon, so I don’t think they have any true non-smoking rooms.

The next morning we wanted to send out laundry and followed hotel instructions - fill out the laundry list, put the clothes in the laundry bag, leave laundry on the bed and hang out door sign saying “Please pick up laundry”. Not only did they not pick up the laundry, they didn’t even make up the room. We got back to the hotel at 8pm after a long, hot day touring and then had to wait for our room to be made up.

During the 4 days we were there, we never got clean glasses, we had to call housekeeping to get toilet paper and Kleenex. Housekeeping seemed to be sleeping on the job.

The location was okay - near the National Museum - and we never felt unsafe. But even though the price was reasonable, I would never stay here again.

Bad hotel in bad location and unsafe

This hotel should not be listed on Expedia hotels list. It should not be rated as a hotel. It is on very unsafe and poor neighborhood with poor service. No working internet or phone. Bathrooms are dirty and non functional. I would commend it for anyone.

I have asked for a non smoking room - but the reception politely mentioned that non existent in the hotel and the best they can do is remove the ashtray from the room. staff are friendly and they have good parking provided.

In previous years I had stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in the same area, but for this trip I chose to stay at the Baisan Inter Hotel. When I checked in, I was informed that my Passport would be held until my day of Check out. What?? No Way!!! Oh, instead I can pay a deposit and keep my passport. As this is how most hotels work, the deposit is fine. They had a huge stack of Passports though!! The rooms were dated, and the windows opened but not easily. The Nightclub and it's Arabic music was booming long into the night, and even on the 6th floor, I could easily hear it. The bathroom, shower had low pressure and the shower head was old and had heavy deposit which limited the flow.

Everything sucks. I hated this hotel. Hotel is not clean. Room was not clean. Staff are weird and not professional. My airport pickup did not come as i agreed with the hotel by email although i provided all details and they confirmed. They said the driver was late because he did not find a place to park. What a reason. The security manager or whatever his job is in the hotel is very rude and very weird also. The hotel is full of strange people and very noisy. Guests from weird background wearing weird things. If you have a guest or a visitor coming to see you, they have very strict regulations and security checks which is good sometimes and bad sometimes. haha. The only professional person in this place is a guy called George Sojan. He is the Asst. Front Office Manager. He is very customer oriented and will try to help. But he is the only one doing so. The hotel has also a SPA. It is nice to relax and get a relax massage but not proper thai massage. So, if you need real SPA, this is not the one. The hotel has also a nightclub that sucks and a pub / bar in the first floor that is full of prostitutes. Very bad experience and i am never staying here again. Not even if they pay me money.

I booked a room with a swimming pool view and separate sitting area but the view from my room was wall of another bldg. and there was no separate sitting area..
2. upon checking I already informed the reception that I was expecting a couple who will stay with us and I even agreed to pay additional.15 bd..but when the couple arrived they were not given a good treatment even by the bellboy. .
3. The room is too small for the price I paid and not even a complimentary coffee was offered..
not really satisfied and I'm very disaapointed
4. AC is not working well ..I was sweating inside the room..
5.no bar in the poolside like what they offer when you book online
6. breakfast??? .not worth it..

adequate hotel with no character

Good room, good facilities, but it just didn't seem welcoming. Efficient staff but no warmth there. Sterile Atmosphere. Restaurant very expensive. Four times more expensive than comparable restaurant a few hundred meters away. Bar advertised offers (e.g. Happy hour) that I was then told were no longer available when i ordered. Would not stay there again.

Definitely, it is a hotel where you can stay if you want to party , it is comfortable but during the night it is noisy and there is a lot of traffic around the hotel during the night.
The room is very nice, very comfortable, and it has a bath which is always amazing to relax.
The location of the hotel is just fine, it would be cool but the traffic does not help at all. It is easy to walk, but it is not very clean outside of the hotel. It is very near from hard rock cafe.

The in-house nightclub has a great sound system which can be heard throughout the hotel until it shuts down at 2 a.m.
Other guests will blare music until 4 a.m. when Security have to be called.
Other than the noise, the main problem was cockroaches in the bathroom.

Walk to many things.

I loved the fact I could walk to a number of places to eat and it is close to a pharmacy, etc. The downsides were that this was about the worst shower I have had in a long time. It takes little money and little effort to replace the shower heads to make it decent. There was a great bar attached to the hotel that has a non-smoking room. The downsides were that the band was VERY loud, and it was full of expat men. In Bahrain, the ratio of expat men to women is so overwhelming, it was not at all comfortable for someone (female) just trying to have a glass of wine before heading back to Saudi for work.

A good Hotel in La Hoora District

I jumped at the hotel's offer of three nights for the price of two. This was not my first time staying at the Ramee Baisan, and it won't be my last. Check-in was quick and hassle-free. As usual, I got a nice room, with good security.

There were very few problems during my stay. Sometimes I had to wait a little longer than I cared to for the elevators, but other than that, I enjoyed my time.

I'll definitely come back.

- staff at the reception is very rude, they lack proper responses. They have an unwritten policy that prohibits your friends to join you at your room ( not staying the night, just for an hour), when asked about the policy they couldn't show it.
All other hotels I've been to were okay with having guests at your rooms except this hotel! And please this is defnilty NOT A 4 star hotel.... The place is filled with prostitutes.
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone specially to families, I rather pay extra to avoid this horrible hotel in the future.
- hotel is filthy specially the bathroom. Fungus on the walls !!

We were very disappointed from the first time we tried to call the hotel (Ramee) to pick us up from the airport. There was no answer at all. we use a taxi to get to the hotel; when we got there we saw drunk & noisy people at the hotel. We spoke with the manager to change, but he did not offer any other location they have. He said we have to speak with Trovelocity. When we got to the room, there was loud music and people after 2:30 a.m. The basic items in the room we had to call housekeeping for it (Toothbrush, slippers, robs, water, coffee, tea.) Most of the food is set for a certain ethnic group of people {Basic hamburger was pre-spiced(over salted, & spicy)}. Some room service food orders were very poor quantity.
There was over loud music and people shouting everyday at night. The hotel WAS NOT A FAMILY ORIENTED hotel and we will never go there again. The customers very unethical. We requested from the manager to change hotels or get a refund, he said we can go to another branch on Saturday (One day before flying.) The rest of the staff were friendly & hard working people.

Hotel has one of the worst staff I have ever seen. Very bad checkin experience. They hold out passport. No introduction to the hotel.
Hotel has many night clubs and this is all what they care about. In the night, very strange people around the place.

Not recommended for a family.

Short Stay at Ramee Baisan

The staff were not too friendly but efficient. The room was on the top floor and the cooling fans on the roof could be heard 24/7. There were no carpets in the room and the tiles were cracked in places especially the bathroom but the room was reasonably clean. The swimming pool was clean and not busy. WiFi in the room was fast and free. The bar, as are many in Bahrain, was expensive and not busy.

Overall, I had a good stay at the Ramee Baisan.

It's a nice hotel with good rooms. The staff members were very nice. They gave me a free late check-out.

There was a good sports bar outside the ground floor, and this time, there were no juicy girls. The bar featured a good band.

You get what you pay for.

Mohammed was lovely on reception, his colleague wasn't quite as efficient. I had requested a top floor room but unfortunately I didn't get it.I was on 4th floor, room 406. As always it was quite clean and the bed was a good size. The wifi worked exceptionally well which was good. Out of the plugs that were there, I could only use one which was actually the fridge plug but the other two weren't working, unfortunately. The shower was luke warm and the toilet seat wasn't fixed firmly but overall it was fine. There is a hairdryer and the shower gel smells good. There is no kettle in the room if you like tea in the morning.

The one thing I do like about this hotel is its position. Downstairs there is a bar, 'The Warbler' and a nightclub. Turn right out of the hotel walking and you come to the main road where the Hard Rock Cafe is. Turn left and there are shops and restaurants so there is easy access to shops and bars.

The night itself wasn't too bad, the beds are comfortable. There was some disturbance but after a conversation with management they asked the people to leave which I thought was great customer service.

Tip - Get a room on the 6th floor, it's silent.
